I went for a full set. Came up to a $100. So surprise of the price and they were so ugly wasn’t shape right and my nails already broke off. Such a horrible experience and $100 went down the drain.

Fake tips with dip on top. Lovely ladies and great service. Only one star less b/c I wish they had more dip colors and dip matte top coat. But otherwise 5 star service.

This is my second time to do my manicure here. I’m satisfied with their service and my nail design. Such a cute nail salon! I love surrounding by plants and flowers. Very friendly staff, nice environment and reasonable price! Some colors will be charged more, but they will let you know in advance. Also clean and neat here. Ran by Korean. Sometimes no one answers the phone call, so you’d better make an appointment with them at Yelp at weekends and you can just walk in at weekdays. I hope they will have lash extension service soon.

So happy I stumbled upon this beautiful nail shop! I just moved to New York and have been struggling for the past two months to find a nail salon that can deliver like they did today at A1 Nails. Absolutely flawless and precise work with dedicated attention to detail. I’m a stickler about my French tip and the nail tech did an amazing job. The salon is beautiful, fresh and clean. The employees are extremely friendly and candid about prices upfront so there’s no surprises. I believe it was the owner who was nice enough to give me a $10 discount to remove nails I had done elsewhere which was really sweet and unexpected. I had acrylic nail removal and a gel manicure which was all done in about 1.5 hour or so. I don’t live in NJ but if I need to travel here to A1 to get my nails done I will without hesitation. I can’t wait to come back. Thank you!

Inconsistent quality! The first time I went my powder gel mani was great but the second time it was so thinly done that it began to chip in a couple of days and within a week all of many of my long nails broke off.

Although Ive been to a number of nail salons in both Jersey City and NYC, I have never felt as compelled to write a review - the nail technician did a wonderful job, but what really makes this place stand out is the service. The owner went out of her way to make me feel welcome and taken care of. The place itself is sparkling clean and the calming music was a great touch. So happy I discovered this gem!!

I love it here! Ive been twice so far and they are very clean, friendly, and covid-safe. They even have organic, nontoxic nail polishes in addition to regular ones. Ive gotten pedis, manis, and chair massages. They give the best chair massages! They take appointments in addition to walk-ins which is really convenient. Its a peaceful, clean atmosphere inside. Im very happy with them.

I started going here a year ago and was hesitant because I had read some of the reviews about it being overpriced and not a well done manicure. However, I have gone here 10+ times and every time I get a gel manicure. There was one occasion where my nail chipped within a week but I also work in a profession where I am constantly using my hands and break a nail quite often. I have left here satisfied every single time and I have never paid more than $40 for a gel manicure so I’m not sure how others are getting charged hundreds of dollars. The staff is very friendly and the atmosphere is calming.

I asked for a French manicure and I got squiggles on my nails. I appreciate that its quite hard to do a French but I kinda wish they gave me someone more experienced. Theyre good with solid colors though. This happened months back b4 Corona btw.

The salon itself is lovely. Otherwise, like any other salon the artists seem to be trained to file nails down to paper thin in order to maintain a manicure. Maybe the training teaches the more nails break the more the customer is forced to return? Still on the quest for a proper manicure. Definitely nice place for a good basic pedicure.

I had a bad experience in this salon. I came to make the nail powder, the manicure was done terribly, sloppily, they made an uneven shape of the nails. The master could not dry the top layer and because of this removed it and applied it several times again and again, in the end, without drying my nails, she covered them with ordinary gel. And it took 1.5 hours. A girl with red hair, I dont know her name. I applied to the manager with a complaint and a request to make me a discount for the inconvenience caused. I got a $ 1 discount. This is ridiculous! The cost of the manicure was $ 48 without a tip. Its not worth it. I will never come back to this salon and do not recommend it to everyone.

Don’t get the gel manicureI love this place, the owner is so sweet and so are the employees but I paid $38 (and a tip which I never mind giving) for a gel manicure that chipped two days later.My left middle finger has a chip at the very top which is disappointing.The top coat also started to fade quickly.I’m pretty sad about that but the salon is so nicely set up; you’re greeted right away and the music is so soothing and calm.

So far Ive only done 2 gel manicures with this salon, and both times the gel has been high quality and has lasted the full 2 weeks. I have fragile nails, and thus they tend to break easily. Its nice to see that the quality work they do keep my nails from chipping and breaking. The coats are very even and clean, and they do spectacularly at painting designs!

I have found my favorite nail place in Jersey City! This place is extremely clean and spacious with facial/eyebrow services in the back rooms. Price is a bit higher compared to nearby places but the hygiene and quality is unbeatable.I also got a complementary chair massage, seems they may offer massage a la carte soon.Owner Mae is super friendly and warm, she said it’s her first time running her own business and I wish her all the best!

Clean and posh salon I came here for a pedicure when I was 8 months pregnant and the manager was really really attentive and accommodating. She propped up pillows for ke, made sure I was comfortable while getting my pedi. It was my first visit and was very endeared.Definitely coming back.

If youre looking to get a pedicure here the set up is very different from the norm of a nail salon. Instead of the big pedicure chairs, you sit on a velvet couch and they bring out a plastic tub for you to soak your feet in. I found the experience to be okay. If you have short legs it may be difficult for your feet to reach the tub because the couches have you sit way back. I could have used a pillow to prop my back up which would have helped my feet reach the tub but all of the pillows were in use by other customers. Also, I asked for a gel pedicure and because youre not in the normal pedicure chairs, the nail technician was having a hard time balancing the light for the gel since theyre not much of a ledge on the plastic tub and painting my nails at the same time. She must have dropped the light at least twice during my session.Overall, the salon is clean and relaxing. I might come back for a manicure but I will stick to my other salon with the traditional pedicure chairs. I didnt realize having the ability to adjust your chair can make or break the experience.

Absolutely fantastic experience here. I went for a manicure, and my technician helped me pick out a color that would look good with my skin tone, then took her time and did an amazing job on my nails. During the manicure, I was offered a glass of water, and asked for input on my nails every step of the way. The instruments they used were clean, the music in the background was soothing, and Im definitely coming back.

Made an appointment with them and they conveniently canceled to accommodate a group appointment. I understand the business reason why they did that but we didn’t get a call to reschedule and they were extremely nonchalant about it over the phone. It’s pathetic. PS - we tried expressing our disappointment but the person didn’t understand much English. It was painful.

Did not have a good experience at this salon. Although the owner was sweet and they did a decent job at removing my acrylic nails, the workers were very unpleasant. So unpleasant that while I was trying to tell one of the ladies that I did not want polish, she literally yelled at me and told me to sit down. Treating customers that way? For reals? The lady who filed my acrylics asked me to get new acrylics when she noticed the acrylics made my nails very thin... Not the best advice. Def not going back here.

Really a 4.5. Great mani-pedi. A little pricey at $7 for gel soak off. Appreciate that they have shifted away from whirlpool foot baths. They need more than 2 dryer stations considering the size of the space.

The search is over!I moved to Jersey City just over a year ago and had not yet found my go-to nail salon. Well the search is finally over!I went for a mani-pedi this past weekend and was treated to an delightful experience. The entire ambiance exudes comfort and welcome. There are no typical pedicure chairs, instead you are welcomed to a plush velvet sofa where they pull up a tub for your feet. Now dont worry about the lack of massaging chair (which we all know dont work half the time anyway) because the massage you receive during the regular pedicure is phenomenal. A truly pampered experience.The music was soft and relaxing. None of the staff was loud or on their phones; whose not working on clients spoke quietly in the back. And the manicure and massage chairs were fantastic as well.I wish this newcomer to the neighborhood a world of success and Im looking forward to my next visit!
