The gel manicure got chipped off in 4 days for two of the fingers. Will not recommend!Also, they keep you waiting long, even if you book an appointment already.The parlour could really work with their customer management better.

Do NOT go here! Ive got my eyebrows threaded every month for the last 10 years and never have I ever had as worse as an experience as this one! She rushed me and I could feel her doing it quickly without care. The pain was unbearable and I’ve never had that with threading before! I came home to see red bumps under my eyebrows and I had red scars under my brows the next day and when I press the area it hurts!! The lady’s name was Smita Patel FYI she was rude and had attitude to her colleagues and other customers too! (she also forced me to tip and wouldn’t let me leave until I Venmo’d her on the spot instead of later).

The lady who did my pedicure didn’t fully remove my regular nail polish on my toe nails. She removed half of it with acetone and then proceeded to file off the rest of it. It was not gel polish, so that caused unnecessary damage to my natural nails. The lady who did my manicure did an awful job cutting my cuticles, they look and feel terrible. This place is poorly ventilated. Some of the workers lacked manners.

I went for a Gel manicure, the lady was very rough with my nails and injured cuticles for 2 of my finger nails which still hurt a lot. Definitely not worth the price, i would not recommend. Also, please let the customers tip on their own instead of pushing for it so hard without caring whether the customer actually liked the service or was satisfied or not.

I live in the area so Ill come here for a quick manicure. Its kind of small and not very relaxing so I dont usually do a special treatment. The do accept walk ins but I feel an appointment would be better as sometimes they wont have an opening. Also the eyebrow lady is very good.

I would not suggest going to this salon. After two years of not getting my nails done, I thought I’d splurge and get a manicure. I am into the nail salon for a gel manicure. I had an appt but had to wait about five-ten minutes which wasn’t a big deal but for a small salon- it was a bit cramped. Once I was finally seated the manicurist barely listened to what I had to say in regards to nail shape and filed so roughly that she left a deep cut on my finger. Not only that, the filing was sloppy, my nails are uneven, and there’s gel nail polish on my skin. Overall I would not suggest going to this salon- there are cleaner and nicer salons in jersey city.I am only giving two stars due to the ease of booking via a website

I loved the ladies in the salon, all so nice and our conversation was so easy flowing. My experience overall was I loved my pedicure, Mariluz did an amazing job and so did the lady who did my moms pedicure. Honestly I just loved the vibe, I felt very comfortable so I know I’ll definitely come back.

This place is convenient to all the residents of Newport. The ladies were friendly, somewhat on time and it was clean. No problem. I went there for the Gel powder manicure and a pedicure. The pedicure was fine, the manicure was done very differently from what I’m used to. Only two layers of the colored powder and the rest was done with cheap clear powder and we ended under the UV-light. You don’t do that with powder. Needless to say, my nails started chipping after 5 days. The quality for the money is not there. I read the previous reviews and I was prepared but hoped for the best. Well, it didn’t work out. I’m going back to Blooming Nails & Spa. Their mani/pedis are amazing and less expensive. My dip manicure lasted 4 weeks and still looked like new. Polish me is not what it should be, considering it’s location.

Overall it was a good experience very polite.just seemed a bit rushed and overpriced especially when less than 24 hours my gel nail polish was peeling off. I live in New York it’s a bit of an inconvenience to go back :(

Plus they making me pay 50$ for a pedicure not even doing my foot properly she said all she can do is to use the bathroom scrub brush for my underfoot I couldn’t be angry . She was telling me I can go to another store if I dnt meet up their standards. What discrimination. The owner should fire everybody that work there today . Cause the will run ur business down.

Avoid going here. She was extremely rough and took off a piece of my skin while getting a pedicure. The bleeding has subsided but my toe is still throbbing hours later.

I went here by recommendation but I wouldn’t recommend it myself. The service for a powder manicure was very long, and I didn’t already have a set on, it took over an hour to complete. Within 2 weeks my powder manicure started to fall off and below 2 of my nails were a dark green color. I believe it to be fungus and I warn anyone who goes to be careful.

They check our temperature, have plastic barriers and seperator. I caller ahead to check if they had any pedicure protection which they did.. The reason I brought her here was because of the pedicure plastic liner. I recommend this place if youre looking for a nice and sanitary salon.

I’ve been coming to Polish Me for about 5 years. Every time I go, the staff is very friendly. They care about quality. Every technician is a master - cuticles are always cut very nicely and the nail shape is always exactly what I want. They are constantly cleaning the place and their instruments. Truly a gem on the JC waterfront. Ask for Fatima, Margaly, and Elizabeth.

I just got my spa pedicure done by Blanca and it was fantastic, especially my experience at the salon! First, the spa pedicure was so comprehensive, consisting of a mud wrap, exfoliation, 30 Min foot massage, hot stone massage, and paraffin! It was the most relaxing time I have had all week. I got my gel manicure done as well and I have no complaints, only compliments. The gel manicures I have gotten from Polish Me have always been very long-lasting compared to when I get them done at other salons. This has become my go-to salon. The staff is friendly and the place is very clean with all tools sanitized and new water bowls for each person! I do not agree with some of the negative reviews given to this salon. I recommend this salon.

Spent a 180 bucks for three nails to come off. Had to wind up taking them all off and waiting for two days for NYC nail salons to open. I had my nails done now from NYC more then two weeks and there long and nothing has broken. I.will never get my nails done here. They got me for 180 and it wasnt even like the picture I wanted... I just moved to the area and found this nail salon. The location is very convenient right across from the path station. The salon is a bit small but it’s so clean. The staff is very friendly and they sterilize all their tools, contrary to what I saw on another review! I got the regular pedicure special for $20 but it felt like a spa pedicure from other salons. Can’t wait to go back.

I have been here for over 6 months and love this place. They are clean, take their time doing your nails and do a great job . I got gel for my nails and regular polish on my toes. The pedicure was amazing, the lady who did my nails took her time for every single step, cutting cuticles, scrub, a very long massage with hot stones and paraffin treatment on top of it. First I thought it was a spa pedicure, but she told me this was their basic pedicure here. I will definitely be coming back here. Highly recommended!

I have been here for the past 2 years. The staff is friendly and professional. I love the pedicures here. It was a very long massage and a great hot stone massage. It also came with a paraffin treatment at the end for a regular pedicure. Its a steal deal! I just visited here yesterday, and they just got the newly renovated brand new pedicure chairs, so nice and clean. Totally comfortable! Cant wait to go back!!

Horrible service they rush through ur service, made a appt at 4 i arrived at 3:50 and had to wait outside a additional 45 mins, got seated for. Pedicure at 4:45 . I’ve been coming to this salon for over a year and Mary Luz always takes care of me. Elizabeth is the manager and she’s always so nice and sweet. Mary Luz Is one of the best nail technicians they have. She really takes her time to make sure my hands and feet are clean and my cuticles are cut right. She does amazing work. Very professional and nice. All of their products are good quality. I love getting my nails done there with her. I hope she stays forever !

I recently moved to this place new and tried this salon for the first time for the dip-powder manicure. I have been getting this type of manicure for the last two years at my old place. So, Im very familiar with what exactly Im looking for. The senior lady who started working on my nails, first of all, did not understand what really square-shaped nails means. She got me inverted-triangle instead of a square and explained to me that since the top edge is flat, it is indeed a square!!! I gave in, hoping that a polish would compensate for the shape. Then, she got a big dollop of nail polish on my nails twice and the first time, she tried to fix it by tapping it with her fingers to make it look flat!!!!! Even a kid knows that you should not touch a wet polish. When I asked her what shes doing and told her to start up that finger afresh, she almost scolded me saying Im not finished yet! Also, dip powder manicure needs some machine-buffing and its best achieved by using mechanized tools, which she didnt use (UPDATE: this made the entire polish come loose at the edge and then chip off in two days from 8 of my nails). And, she kept adjusting the shape of my nail polish with her nails. When the polish went out on my skin, she didnt even care to clean that with a polish-remover, but just rubbed it with her finger. Clearly, she didnt know what a dip powder manicure is and how it is done. There was another Aesthetician who was doing the same manicure for another customer and I kept observing how smartly and correctly she was doing the entire process. In summary, if you are getting a dip powder manicure, either you really need to keep an open eye to ensure getting the right service here or just try another parlor.UPDATE: Just run away from this place. The polish started coming loose at the edges the next day. So, I had moisturizers and lotions disgustingly get stuck under my polish layer and had to keep cleaning it. The following day, they started cracking and eventually chipped off in 2days. Yes, JUST 2days!!!!! And guess what, not just one finger but all 8 of them. Had it been one or two, I would have called them to fix it. But with almost all my nails chipping, I just didn’t have time to waste for another fix up. I had to wait for 30mins with an appointment the first time. Its a sheer waste of money. I went to this place because not many places do dip-powder manicure. But, this place is no better as it will be sheer waste of your money.

Elizabeth my manicurist did an excellent job! Got a full set of gel extensions. She shaped them exactly how I wanted them. Will be back for sure.

I really like this salon. I always get my gel mani & pedi done here by Elizabeth and although the place is small, the quality of the work is top-notch and the staff is welcoming. The place is always clean and they really make it work with the space they have. It’s also right across from the Path Station so it has been super convenient for me to come here after work! They currently have a cash special with 10% off if you pay in cash! Pretty good deal to me. I am always following this place because they are always offering specials including a pedicure special for $20 right now.

Made an appointment days ago because they are not good with walk ins (you usually have to wait a long time or they dont have room at all). Called to confirm and they didnt have my appointment and couldnt take me at the time I had reserved. The place is really dirty and very run down. Wish there were better choices in the neighborhood. Dont recommend.

It was a Monday morning when I decided to change my nail technician after a visit Polish Me Nail Spa. I called the spa first for an appointment and luckily they were able to see me for a pedicure within 20 minutes. I think maybe it s uncrowded due to it still early. However, when I got inside, the salon was crowded and the phone rang constantly for appointments. The staffs were friendly. They offered to me a wide variety of high end nail polish brands. I did not know what s color suitable for my nails. The staff guided me very enthusiastic and finally, I end up choosing midnight blue color. Now, my toenails are beautiful and I really love this salon.

I made an appointment for 2 pm and I got there exactly at 2. At that time I was told to wait outside for a “few minutes”. At 2:17 I asked how long would it take, I was told 20 minutes. Just don’t get what the point of making an appointment at 2 pm was if they’re flint going to see me until 2:37 pm? Very unhappy with the unprofessionalism of the staff.

Hands are like the womans face: should be always be neat and perfect. The girl in this place definitely does not know anything about hand sanitation, hygiene and proper cuticular removing. I have a strong wish to wash my hands with chlorine as soon as Ill arrive at home.

Ive gone twice in the last 6 weeks. The first time was nice - and it was right after a very busy time - they did a nice massage, scrub, etc. This last time was quite bad - and it was at a very slow time. Barely any scrub and very short massage. Both my friend and I noticed polish on our toe skin on several toes, and my big toe already had a nick in it and I hadnt even left the place. Wont be back.

I have my favorites Elizabeth and Fatima.They are both so great at what they do and always make you feel special.The salon itself is so welcoming and the service excellent..The owner Jennifer really is a talented business woman who just opened another salon that offers some extra services and i look forward to trying themout..I believe the new Polish Me Nail Spa offers spa services i look forward to trying and giving as gifts.By the way i no longer get my nails or pedicures in the city..Try and see for yourself.You will walk out smiling!

One of the worst nail salon experiences Ive had in my life. I came here to have a gel manicure removed and get a regular manicure. First of all, they used the same emery board on me that they used on another girl, which is gross. After the gel manicure was removed, I asked for a regular manicure with no polish as I was in a rush. They cut my nails so short there was barely any white left, even when I told them to only cut a little bit (my nails had been growing out for almost three weeks with the gel manicure).Then the technician cut me with the cuticle clipper - one of the worst cuts Ive gotten during a manicure. It bled profusely for over 20 minutes.... even a few days later, the cut still hurts. Also, while I was getting the manicure, one of the pedicure tubs overflowed because no one was attending to it. Avoid this place at all costs!

Went there today I was told wait would be 40 minutes which was fine. I got a very nice lady to do my feet and I upgraded to a pedi with massage. Well the girl up front kept coming back and rushing her in Spanish. She didnt know I am fluent and understood everything. My girl didnt even finish my design or top coat because she was forced to start someone else. Needless to say I would give one star but the girl who was working on me was very apologetic and nice.

The technicians there really dont care about their clients or their job. I asked for gel removal, and my technician did not remove it completely. I can still see bits of it under my new polish. She also wasnt even looking at she was doing half the time and was chatting on the phone with a Bluetooth headset until it was time to pay. Extremely unprofessional, low-quality service.

This review is for the Washington Street location. I decided to try this place because I found a Groupon. The location is easy to get to, clean inside. Pedicure took about 30min and gel mani about 45min. I had to tell the woman doing my pedicure to scrub my feet a little more. She was not paying attention. She had not scrubbed well until I mentioned it. The tools seem like they need to be sharpened or replaced. Both ladies pulled too much when cutting my cuticles. I had to tell them to stop. They both did a decent job. Not my favorite place but they did the job. If I needed to Ill try them again, different people next time.

They kept looking at me then each other, say something in Spanish and then giggle/laugh. It might be some other joke going on, but it made me very uncomfortable. One of the staff understood very little english and could not follow my requests, I asked for French Manicure and she rudely said it is going to cost $5 more and I was like okay. and I think then she assumed I have no capability to pay extra or god knows what and continued doing regular manicure.In the middle of the process, she was like Pay. Have been here twice - my experience the first time was fabulous! However, my second visit was below average. She Seeme to be pretty rushed even though there was no one in the salon. No massage, did not apply cuticle cream, did not soak nails before taking off extra cuticles. Average for the price they charge.

Amazing and took their time, I had the honey spa pedi and a French Mani and they did an incredible job. I am a little OCD and they had no issues with me guiding them on my lines for the French and they did them perfectly!! Im definitely coming back with my friends and family, the quality was exceptional!

Ive been going for over a year now, I always walk in with no appointment, and the quality and service is always very good and flawless, I always apply OPI gel or Gelish and it last 2-3 weeks but because my nails grow so fast; they dont leave the thick borders other salons doThe pedicure was very thorough. I have a hard time finding places that give my cuticles a good cleaning. Most places just clean around the toes but forget to check the sides to make sure your toes are completely clean. Their regular pedicure came with a very long massage, hot stone massage and paraffin treatment, Awesome.They have the best products and a huge color selection !!I never had to wait more than 5 minsIm not going anywhere else, highly recommended!

Don’t go there, unless it’s really clear what you are paying for. Went there for a mani pedi, the salon had an offer 32 dollars on mani pedi, I upgraded for a gel color for the mani, i was informed that that would be the total of 55 dollars. She started doing the gel nails and then I really didn’t like them so I asked her to skip the gel and just do gel polish. She did a gel polish, 2 layers no top coat (and with filling apparently?) and then charged me 80 dollars, a price we never talked about. For a regular pedi and a mani that will last me for like 10 days this is horribly expensive. I’m very dissatisfied and will not recommend nor go there again.

I live in Brooklyn and have been visiting my friend in Newport at least once a month. I chose Polish Me over the other salons because the girls are nice, friendly and professional. They made me very comfortable every time I have visited. They are using only quality of products e.g. Opi, Essie and shellac. They gave me the best mani pedi ever. Cant wait to come back!

After couple of days my gel came off and it was supper disappointing. I don’t think I come back to this place again.
