This company needs to retrain their management company who does the rentals of property. They are not professional they stay behind there computers to communicate with their tenets. The manager has told us she was too busy to talk to us in person.Rent was always paid on time but the respect was not given to us as great tenets. Things that should have been address before us moving in was not ie holes in the wall and doors, grass not cut, house not pressure wash, locks on the door didn’t work, house was not clean. These are just a few things that was wrong with this home. They have taken part of our deposit for covering the holes and something else we were not told about a sensor. This company is horrible.

Jose Maldonado was outstanding to work with! He sold our home and helped us find the perfect new home! From the time we listed to the time we moved, it was only just over 2 months! He genuinely cares about his clients and was so understanding with our unique situations. Highly recommend Jose!!

Genuine crooks. If you own a home and want to rent it out, do not use these guys. They allowed someone to stay in my home without a proper lease agreement, then when that person didnt pay for 6 months and they were instructed to evict him, they didnt start the process for another 6 months. The house was wrecked. I mean totally destroyed. They had their own contractor come through and say it was about 14k worth of damage, but they refused to pay for any of it, missing rent money, or maintain responsibility for ruining my home. I explain to them that I need to go to court to remedy the situation, and they understand but then fast forward to hurricane Florence and all the hard work I put back into my house was wrecked again, only now I needed more professional help. They had the gall to say we cant help you if youre planning on taking us to court...taking full advantage of a natural disaster. I dont live in NC mind you. OK so I agree to drop the litigation, but they agree to a three year deal at reduced commission. they then help by suggesting a contractor who charges me 4k to do work in the house then tell me hes done, but he needs more money to do other things.... I agree to pay him for other things and he finishes only to find out he didnt even do the first group of things, he left piles of trash in my house, he messed up my flooring and ran out even though I had plenty of extra (I assume one of his guys has new flooring in their home now, if you get my meaning). They say they cant get ahold of this contractor, yet they still back him up....WHY???? Oh...then they email me to ask me what my plan is with the house and before I even read it they say since I didnt respond, they cancelled my contract now....this is a violation of the agreement we came to for 3 years of representation at a reduced commission but honestly...good riddance. They were incompetent and they support crooks/charlatans as contractors. These guys are a perfect representation of all the corrupt businesses that get away with murder in Jville, keeping it from growing. I genuinely hope these crooks go out of business.

Great real estate company. The agents are super friendly and communicate well. Highly recommended for all buying, selling, renting, and property management needs.

The staff here is one big family. The atmosphere is positive, supportive, encouraging, and so much real estate experienced. The agents vary in age but I am amazed at how knowledgeable everyone is, regardless of age.

Wont return emails or messages. Drove an hour and half wasted our time. Thought we had someone good . Turns out it was a bad one. after reading the reviews seems like everyone in that office is terrible at rental properties. So anyone reading this review dont waste your time. Just figure the rental properties yourself. Thanks for wasting our time. Hope you get better at it.

We just closed on our new home last Friday and we could not be happier! Mandy Mowery helped us through the whole process as new home buyers! She made our home buying experience fun and stress free. She is knowledgeable and always available to answer questions and give guidance. We’re so thankful to have had her as our agent!

I was with ReMax for 3 and 1/2 yrs. They was very nice and caring until they merge and thats when it went down hill. They dont answer phones, email responses are delayed unless you owe money, disrespectful, spread your business around the office, prolong fixing item as I went over a month with no stove and had children, threatened to put you out if you late on payment(days not months. They just done have no care for the tenants. If I could, I would rate them 0. I would not recommend them to home seekers. Its a waste of time. I have moved on but I really hate leaving Kimberly because she was the best all around. I appreciate all she did.

I wish I could give them zero stars because they take their time putting maintenance request in and no that we have moved out they have not sent a move out sheet or our security deposit. It is a nice office, but do not work with Mandy

Best property management experience in Jacksonville! I have dealt with two other companies in this town, and RE/MAX exceeded all expectations throughout every step of the process. Their listing agent quickly found us a house, set up the application, and we were signing a lease in no time. Additionally, their online portal makes paying rent and communicating service requests incredibly easy. They always took great care of us, especially when our landlord went into foreclosure. They immediately helped us navigate a new home (that we ended up buying) with no hiccups or delays. I really appreciate this team.

So when I bought a house from Stephen Skakandy here it was an awesome experience. 9/10 would recommend. However, after renting from this place my opinion changes. Shortly before moving out a windstorm partially tore the front storm door off the house which I reported immediately upon coming back to the property as I wasn’t really living there anymore. I then received a letter regarding my security deposit that stated that $595 dollars of it had been withheld to fix the storm door as it was determined by the home owner and relax agent as a “tenant cost”. When I called and inquired about it they told me it “wasn’t wind damage”. I don’t think it makes any logical sense that a 145 pound skinny kid from Ga could or would have any reason to rip half the door frame off the house. It sounds to me more like the home owner just didn’t want to pay for it.

I really wouldnt recommend renting through here. Takes forever for them to respond to repair needs, they make you put it in the online portal, never get back to you and then the system rejects the request automatically. They did not clean the carpets when we moved in and expected us to apparently make the place spotless upon move out. There was also significant wall damage that was never repaired and they tried to get us to pay for that too but fortunately I took pictures. Theyre customer service is pretty bad and I had to wait 3 months to get the lock fixed on our front door, ended up having the actual home owners father do it. I dont know how they are if you are purchasing but renting from them is not something Id recommend.

The group at this office have done an outstanding job assisting us through two moves. Amber and Tim were wonderful and patient as we looked for houses to rent, and Ashley and the property management team are excellent. We were so impressed, we decided to have them manage a property we own in the area. Great crew at this location!

Called x2 and promised an email of current listings of the type of property we were seeking. Both times, different agents, failed to send anything nor was there any return communication or follow-up. I dont give x3 strikes and apparently the agency and the agent(s) do not need thousands of dollars in their pockets.

RE/MAX Elite was the property manager for our home for the last 5 years. During which the property manager changed 3 times. From the beginning we had some sort of issue but being in a different state it just seemed easier to stay with the company than to try to find a new one. Finally, we had had enough. They dont know how their system works and when asked about charges and/or amounts on the ledger, their response was that is what the system does, which is an extremely unprofessional and unacceptable answer. It took days to weeks to get responses about things and when asked specifically to get a phone call back, the majority of the time I received an email or text message at the end of the day (usually on Fridays) that never actually answered my questions. I rarely received my payout on time (according to the letter I received from them with the payout dates that were based on when the tenants paid) and was once told I would get it when I get it. Upon moveout of our last tenants, I was told our house was in bad shape and had asked numerous times for pictures of the damages, which I never received from them. I paid for many damages and regular maintanence items which may or may not have even been completed. Upon transferring our property to a different agent, they were quick to take my termination fee but took more than 2 weeks and multiple phone calls (from the new property manager) to get the pertinent information transferred.When hiring a property manager to take care of your property you want a company that treats that property as their own; one that cares for you and the tenants leasing the property. Short and simple, RE/MAX Elites property management team is not that company. Please save yourself the trouble and agony.

THE WORST AGENCY I HAVE EVER EXPERIENCED IN MY LIFE. Ashley and Emily in Property Management are nice nasty. They gave me the run around about a rental unit I was trying to rent for a week. They advised me that a rental unit had no applications on it and that I could submit an application, just hey said that they reached out to my old leasing office for a rental reference, little do they know my sister works there and NEVER received a reference referral from them. The ultimately called me and said “they had a lot of applications” on the unit and went with someone else. But why waste my time and MONEY if you are allowing “A LOT” of people apply for the same unit. Stop wasting people’s time and money.

I was very disappointed by the level of professionalism and courtesy I received when working with different agents with this company. I initially emailed with Michael Banks who took weeks to finally get back to me with the information requested. After confirming with him that renting would be the better option, he did provide me with contact information for a property manager (Kim). Ultimately, I decided to go with a different company that charges less fees, and Michael took it upon himself to treat me so unprofessionally in his responses to me. Appalled is an understatement. Do not do business with this company as the people they hire have trouble being respectful of the decisions made by the with whom they come into contact.

We love our agent. She really is an amazing person. We bought our home today.

We trusted Remaxx with our property for over 8 years and they are the absolute WORST! Our home was remodeled when we moved out. We finally ( 3 tenants later) got pictures of a move inspection and I wanted to cry. They allowed our renters to destroy our home. They assured us that our house was taken care of every time they went and did random inspections. They took our money and never really took care of our home. Also, we had a home warranty and they never used it but instead used their own contractors. They have cost us so much money because they protect the renter instead of the owners. We don’t live locally and trusted Remaxx and they have failed us over and over. Not I to mention their poor customer service. We had an incident where we needed the on call service only to find out that the on call person was on vacation in another state. She stated that she could not get to our unsecured property until Monday. Every since we told them we are selling our house they are showing their true colors. I can go on and on.

You can’t go wrong when you go with Remax Elite. Kim Has helped me buy and sell my home and is working with my wife and I on building our dream home! She is straight with you and that is something we’ve always valued about her. I would recommend Remax Elite to anyone! She has put together an all star team that does it all!!!

Terrible company! My wife and I applied to an house that only said no aggressive breeds but when we applied and already had paid the application fee they texted us and said sorry no puppies either! There was no where in the application where it said no dogs under 1 year old. Our realtor even said that our dog would be okay so go ahead and apply. $100 out the door for nothing.

I highly recommend Daniela Colina for your buying/selling needs, she was fantastic when we sold our house. However, I DO NOT recommend renting from these people. Mandy and Monica are crooks. We lived in a rental property for 2.5 months, it was DISGUSTING and in wretched condition when we moved in. Im talking shattered glass windows and holes in walls and doors, missing doors, urine soaked carpeting..with promises all of this would be fixed, and it never was. My husband received orders and we promptly moved out to PCS across the country. These women took 60 days to tell us we were getting $0 of our $1250 security deposit back. They gave us a list of all things they used it for- ALL DAMAGED THAT WERE THERE WHEN WE MOVED IN. We were told legally they can do whatever they want with our deposit, as long as that is what the homeowner wants. This has been a ridiculous battle with these crooks.

We moved into a rental listed by remax in 2017. This was not a typical neighborhood home as it was a horse property on 17 acres so we had the conversations of what would be maintained by them and what was our responsibility. This company not only is unprofessional but SHADY. The initial frustrations we dealt with, like rotten fence posts, broken appliances, normal wear and tear on a 30+ year old home, were nothing in comparison to the aftermath of hurricane florence. The home owner of the home was not returning phone calls from remax after the insurance adjusters came out and instead of working with us and communicating what exactly was going on, they left us in the dark, but they were sure happy to keep taking our 2k on the 1st every month while we lived in a mold infested home, sinking in floor, broken fences all around the property, leaking unfinished roof, we didnt have a microwave for a whole year..the list goes on. I was chronically ill of sinus and respiratory infections from october 2018 to when we moved out in june of 2019. We had to make several repairs ourselves to the structures and fencing that kept our livestock contained all while empty promises of countless work orders were being ignored, in fact after no calls regarding them, i went into the portsl to check on their status.. THEY WERE GONE. Monica is a joke and will lie right to your face regarding your repairs, your security deposit, or just play dumb. Clerical error and then more lies left us short 60 dollars and from other review i am thankful we made back the majorit of it. Slim pickings for property managers in onslow county. Save yourselves the hassle with crooks and buy your own home. Being a great tennant wont get you very far.

Not military friendly.Definitely jerked us around for months while we were waiting on reparations on our home. Wouldn’t recommend this place to handle anyone’s time or money.

Should honestly leave zero stars but I cant. We leased a property from them and the home owners constantly wanted to stop by and asked the neighbors if they seen us doing anything that was against the lease. Never repaired anything we reported. In the end they took over a grand from the security deposit from repairs that werent needed because we provided receipts from us hiring professionals to have stuff done and also charged us for a repair that we noted in our move in inspection. Overall the office and the homeowners are absolutely horrible and are only out to steal your money.

Kim was our realtor to sell our house, she was nice originally but that was it. Our listing had terrible pixelated pics attached to it, which they didnt even notice until I mentioned it to them. Even after I brought it to their attention it took over a week to get fix. All communication in regards to the listing was initiated by me. After 3 month on the market and no updates from them, we made the mistake to list the house for rent with them under Ashley. The claim they will inspect the house monthly to make sure it was taking care of. After the 12 month contract was over, it was clear that they were not doing their job. Multiple families living in hour home, multiple unauthorized pets, and extensive water damage in the house. They never once visited the property to do what they were getting pay for, but gladly collect their fees every month. When it came to repair the damage, which was about $5000, they were little to no help. The property was out of the market for two month because of the mismanagement of the repairs. I could go on and on about the erroneous charges I was billed for and etc... but I just say this. This is by far the worst real estate and property management company I ever encountered. Do yourself a favor and stay away from it, specifically Ashley and Kim.

I would highly advise not using Chasity Debarber, when buying a home, it should be the best experience you should have when looking to buy a house and this has honestly been a nightmare for me and my husband he is active military and we had to move across country and do a mail away half the time I was chasing her for information and or questions that went unanswered for weeks and she would give nothing but excuses after excuses on top of that lying and saying she never said things and then when I would screen shot our conversation catching her in these lies she would disappear once again for weeks to be unheard from she would give false information about add ons to the house and say you could put certain things in the house added for free and then what was added to the house wasn’t what we wanted and or agreed upon she wasn’t any help what so ever in the whole process but definitely got paid for us buying the house and if it wasn’t for the binding contract she made sure we signed in the beginning she would have been fired the house we finally moved into now has nothing but problems and she stated she sall the house and did a walk through and there were no issues she found the woman is nothing but a liar and a con artist needless to say save your self a headache from this nightmare and use another realator.

The company is a joke. We applied for a rental. We were told we were the only ones that had viewed it and applied. They told us we would have to wait 72 hours for an answer. They never called. The fourth day after calling their office the manger who never does her job finally answered. Not only did we have the approval of the house we also paid the 80 for the application fee. Our application was approved first before anyone else yet the manager told us she waited to see if other apps came in and chose someone else after us that she thought would be better. They literally steal your money. The home we told was rented out from under us I called the next day bc i saw it was listed as new . We were told it was still available and to fill out an application. They didnt know it was us calling. Funny how they still accept your application money for homes theyve already rented from under you. A very sorry excuse for a company with very simple minded management.

Before moving into the property, I wasn’t disclosed certain information about the neighborhood and had my place broken into. The agent said it was a nice area, yet the insurance claims agent filled us in on the fact that property has been broken into previously

Called multiple times about a listing that suzi just posted. Suzi never answers the phone, doesnt clean out her voicemails so you cant even leave her a message. Was told to come into the office by another agent, so we called ahead just to make sure someone would be there as weve stopped in multiple times and was shooed away. We are just looking for a place to rent so we can have a place to live. Called the office, someone picked up, said suzi was there with a customer, I then passed the phone to my wife and the man told her she was out of the office as soon as she said she wanted to stop in and get the application process started. She then mentioned that another agent told her to stop in, and the man said he would check to see if she just walked in. Low and behold she just walked in. Once on the phone it became appearent that little suzi wayman or whatever her last name is wasnt wanting to deal with rentals. A house she literally just posted was all of a sudden placed on hold because suzi is trying to convince them to sell. Suzi was rude on the phone, brushed us off and remax lost a customer and achieved a bad review. GOOD JOB REMAX I WILL DEFINELTY NOT BE DONATING MY BONE MARROW TO YOUR CAUSES AS YOU TRIED TO CONVINCE ME TO DO. Who does that anyways. Show up to try to rent someone where and get asked to donate bone marrow instead? Horrible company, and will definetly be contacting other bbb and MLS sites as well, do not fall for the scheme owners you had a renter that needed a home so he could put his new born daughter in and raise her. But suzi stole that from you so she could sell the house and make more money for herself.

Very unprofessional. They list homes that are not even available to be viewed. Management is unwilling to work with you nor do they take responsibility for realtors they contract. Highly recommend you go elsewhere for your realty needs.

Moved into rental at 7 dewitt street with urine on walls, blood all over bathroom, countless roaches and droppings. I was told that property management had seen the place prior and deemed it move-in ready (HOW?) Owner of property or slumlord came with bucket of water and a rag to clean roaches, as if that would kill any germs from roach feces or human urine. I deep cleaned for 3 days to make it livable for myself. That was my first experience with remax elite and countless problems through my year lease between vial treatment from property management and slumlord they admitted they have no record of seeing the property Ive rented in 3 years. Now upon my LAST month in the lease, how convenient, they want $300 for an imaginary pet fee. Long story short do not rent a place if it is managed under Remax Elite. Was going to wait to post this review until I got my security deposit back BUT now they will not schedule my final walk through until AFTER I have to turn my keys in for the property meaning anyone can have access to it for 3 days and in that time I am sure Remax Elite will make it impossible for me to get my deposit back any way. Save yourself a lot of stress and money by taking your business somewhere that it is appreciated and you are a respected as a customer. Negative 5 stars.

I usually dont right a review, but Re/Max Elite Realty is the worst Realty group I have ever dealt with WHEN IT COMES TO COMMUNICATION. These people like other reviews said, did me the exact same way gave me the run-around for over a week for a rental saying they havent got to my application, havent had time to call my references, everyday sorry we havent got to it, in the meantime Im missing out on other houses. Then text me to send an Id which I had already gave them one the first time I filled out the application. Just anything to give me the run-around. Week passes I decided to call again to get the status of the application only to be told we still dont have an answer we busy and would have one by the end of the day which was Friday, didnt hear anything getting close to closing so I called, Im sorry we still dont have an answer but the house is still available you are the only one that have an application in but you dont have to worry because were closed on the weekend and monday we should know something 🤔 the patience that God gave me and the friendly person that I am, I said ok that makes me feel better TWO MINUTES after getting off the phone I get an email from Monica vinson saying I was denied lol because of rental history and credit history lol They didnt bother to call Any of my rental references, or ANY references! I have very good past rental reference and why give me the run-around for over a week! just to tell me this! Im writing this to save people from wasting their time with people that dont care. I really wished that I would have paid attention to the people reviews, it would have saved me time and money. PEOPLE READ THESE REVIEWS BEFORE YOU WASTE YOUR TIME AND MONEY! Go to someone who doesnt judge you for things that happened years ago. I work hard make good money and pay my bills and have EXCELLENT past rental history and references! LIKE THE OTHER VIEWERS SAY STOP WASTING PEOPLE TIME AND MONEY!!!!

Wish I could give this place less than one star . Subpar service from people who could care less about what you want or need unless you’re buying . My husband and I almost ended up homeless with a dog 2 cats and a 3 MONTH OLD BABY .... didn’t hear from the lady who was supposed to be helping us, no matter how many times I texted after day 2 of meeting her in person . We ended up dropping them and settling for a place that was our last option . Screw this place . Don’t expect anything from them .
