Mike, Ryan and the manager went above and beyond. I came in with an appt made labor day weekend and the system was down. They still got me in, even though we waited 4 hours for a filter and I had to wait there with the guys during a pandemic. It was a great experience. Good conversation, learned a lot about cars and because of the wait, my next oil change is free. They had great customer service and extremely knowledgeable. Great multitaskers. I came to this location on 8/21/21 I was in route to go to an special event until my check engine light came on. I immediately Google for a Pep Boys and drove here. I inform Mr. Bradley about it and he checked to see what error code pop up and it was just my gas cap not probably tighten. Thanks to him I was able to travel to my destination safely and no issues since then. Excellent customer service. So if you are in need of help definitely ask for Mr. Bradley Jarrett he will take great care of you.

My son hit a bump and the underneath engine cover was dragging...and I needed a brake light replaced...service was done and NO CHARGE...then we locked key in car!!! I chose this location due to convenience, being located near my office. I was having a difficult time finding a replacement part for my truck. A few days ago, we got all 4 tires replaced at Pep Boys. Unfortunately one tire failed, and I called Pep Boys and they immediately said they would replace it. We arrived and the tire was replaced and done in less than 10 minutes. Brad did an awesome job! Will be coming back for any future car needs.I’ve never seen such quick, friendly car service.

Went in for a tire issue that I thought might be able to be fixed. Turns out I had to replace both front tires. Mike was great at showing and explaining to me why they had to be replaced. He was honest, realistic, and had such great customer service! The only reason for the 4 star rating is that I had an appointment set up, and I ended up waiting for a little bit to get in.

I stopped in because my tire was leaking when I would take the cap off the stem. I thought it might be the stem core and was hoping for an easy fix. Brad checked it out for me and fixed it so quickly that I was on my way again in less than 5 minutes from the time I parked. He was super nice and had great customer service. My family and I were heading to NC today when we discovered one of our tires had a leak. We brought our car in this morning to have Pep Boys check our tires. They assured me they’d check everything so we could have a safe trip. They kept in contact with me through the process and ended up needing to change the tire valve. Really enjoyed my experience here. Brad the service manager was really knowledgeable and polite. I had tires I had purchased online delivered to this store and needed an alignment as well. Brad made sure I had ordered the right tire size for me and explained the advantages of each level of alignment service. I told him I was concerned about my brakes, but he checked them and told me they were in great shape vs trying to oversell me. I was able to wait and was done in less than 2 hours. Exceptional!! So Brad at Pep Boys delivered exceptional, courteous, caring and safety first service!!! Friday evening I had a nail in my tire and it couldn’t be patched because of the way the tread had worn the tire out. He encouraged me to check into my tire road hazard warranty with another company who had the tire in stock, yet at a price I could not afford. He offered to put the spare on until I could get a new tire. I explained I commuted on the highway and he said it would not be safe for a week to drive back and forth. He was adamant about my safety on the road and was able to find a tire in house that would work for my car at a price I could afford. He and the team completed the service, let me pay partial payment with cash, so I could safely go to the bank and come back with the rest of my payment before closing. This is the kind of trust, loyalty and service minded way a company should be run! So impressed with him and his team and how they went above and beyond to take care of my car and put my safety first!!! I highly, highly recommend this location!!!!

My cars power window wasnt going up. I took it to the Baymeadows Pep Boys. The store manager Brad was very professional and courteous. The technician found that the window track guide was misaligned and was able to fix it without requiring any new parts. The wait time was minimal. I was very impressed by the professionalism of the staff and highly recommend this facility for all auto repairs.

This is the first time Ive felt comfortable coming by myself(without my husband) to get work done on my car. Brad is always very nice and tells me exactly the time line to expect. Brad Jarrett, the service manager listened to my concerns, made recommendations, quoted a estimated price and said how long the repairs would take to complete. He completed the repairs in the time estimated, and the cost was actually one dollar less than the estimated total price. Very professional! Feels great to be treated as a valued customer.

Bradley Jarrett is the best. I took my truck in for tires and while there the mechanics discovered my brakes were in desperate need of repair. Mr. Jarrett informed me of the situation and I approved the repairs. Lest someone think they were tricking me to jack up the price, I knew my brakes were getting close to needing replacement. The mechanic found a problem that could have left me stranded on the road and they repaired this in a timely manner at a fair price. This is my second visit to this store and I will continue to use them in the future and recommend them to all my family and friends.

I thought I may have needed to replace the original battery that came with a new car bought in 2016 that sits parked most of the week after it didnt crank . Got a jump and drove to Pep Boys. PB did a diagnostic on the battery and the test showed the battery was good. No charge, no waiting on a Wednesday around 11:10 am

I had a leak in my tire, which they were able to fix at minimal charge (second time they have been able to do this for me). Most other service companies want to sell me new tires (which I dread). The store manager Brad was very professional and courteous

My boyfriend usually goes to pepboys but this was our first time at this location. He made an appointment for an oil change 1-2 days before the appointment. We dropped his car off 20 minutes before 2pm (2 was his appointment time) and went to a few stores to wait for a call. We ended up coming back at 5ish to check on how much longer (because oil changes dont take that long. I go to Midas without an appointment and I wait 45 minutes max and also we had to be somewhere at 530) He goes inside while I wait in my car and he asks the front desk how much longer and he tells him not too much longer. Hes almost done. Meanwhile I check his car from outside and I see the guy AT THAT MOMENT taking his his oil out of his car. We ended up waiting for his car for about 45 minutes more. I know yall can be very busy but when we arrived there to drop off, it was not that busy (because Ive seen Midas busier).Very disappointing experience.

Brad is an awesome Manager he is very polite and attentive to his customers and really tries to work with you. My car was worked on by Bryan who is also very fast and polite and now my car runs like new. I would definitely recommend taking your car to them. SUPER PROFESSIONAL AND COURTEOUS. I have been changing my oil there for about 3 or 4 years and every time I go in, Brad or the young lady up front are very helpful and make me feel at home. I can tell they try to do their best to squeeze me in and they call me when my car is ready. This last time I went in was for a flat tire. Other places mightve said I needed a new tire and tried to sell me one. But Brad fixed it for free. They always help me find coupons too on their website and make sure they give me a great deal. Great people make this Pep Boys a great place.

My power steering went out and I didn’t want just anyone fixing it. I was close by pep boys, which I knew services cars, so I stopped in. I dealt with Tony, the store manager I believe, he got everything ready, priced, and my car back. They also got me a Lyft back to the house due to the wait time. The mechanic was able to get started right away, and also got ahold of a part that wasn’t where it was supposed to be in an amazing amount of time! They made sure to ask if everything was done right, which I have no complaints. That’s definitely got to be one of the busiest stores, but they all still did everything they could to get me finished on time to pick my daughter up from school. I would definitely recommend them, but I’d also recommend being patient. They’re super nice, just busy.

I am not a mechanic nor do I know a whole lot about cars. From the first time I spoke with Brad, I was treated fairly and politely. Unlike most car shops, Brad isn’t out to get your money and will work with you on your situation no matter how big or small. I went in for an oil change and a diagnostic. The problem was the exhaust/camshaft actuators. All parts they buy are original for the vehicles they’re fixing, which is important to know. Brad will work with you and he doesn’t talk to you like most shops do-like a used car salesman. He doesn’t make you feel like you’re wasting his time. He genuinely cares about each customer and wants what is best for your vehicle. I will definitely be coming back!

Great customer service! Our car was serviced here last august and it broke down again. We got it towed back to Pep Boys where the alternator was guaranteed. We were not charged for anything not even the tow. Had us back on the road in no time. Brad is professional and courteous. We will be back!

My husband and I had our doubts about taking our SUV to a mechanic due to getting horrible service from prior mechanics. But I am here to say that we are extremely pleased with the service we received from Bradley. From the very first phone call we made to Pep Boys to me picking up our vehicle was an awesome experience. We have a SUV that would not start. I did a google search for the nearest mechanic in my area and Pep Boys was one of the many that pulled up in the search. My husband called Pep Boys and was greeted with a nice toned male on the other end. My husband told him the problem we were having and asked asked if we can have our SUV towed to their location. The rep said yes and I contacted our insurance company to have our truck towed. The truck got towed and then the mechanic began to work their magic to see what the issue was with the SUV. My husband and I were both praying it was a small and quick fix. And it was. And they were able to find out the problem very quickly. I was given the option to either pick it up that night or the next morning. When I picked up the SUV the next morning I was greeted with a very welcoming good morning and he even knew who I was before I could tell him. Thank you Bradley and the rest of the staff at Pep Boys. My husband and I will definitely be bringing our SUV back if there happens to be any other issues in the future. 😁😁😁

Traveling from Virginia, had a blowout on 95 in Jacksonville, they were awesome had us in and out in less than 30 minutes with new tire!

My new favorite tire place! I came in with a tire that was brand new, but while driving through construction zones new tires are not immune to screws, I had already removed the tire and put on that pesky donut. That was no problem here..they let me choose between dropping off the tire or waiting. My life is hectic so I dropped it off so I can spend my time my way. When I returned they remembered me and swiftly returned my tire good as new!

I happened to show up to Pep Boys after closing hours yesterday with a tire that had blown out (under warrantee) and a spare that was flat. I needed help badly. I saw that the manager was still in the store but with the lights dimmed. I knocked on the door to get the managers attention and told him about my situation. The store manager Brad could see I was in rough shape and although having been closed already, offered to help me at least try to fix my tire so that I could at least make it home. Knowing he had pre-existing responsibilities outside of work, Brad still took the time to help me in my dire straits. At this time all I wanted was to be able to get home knowing that my tires were shot and I was keeping Brad and his team at work later than they planned. I was then told by Brads team member that my tire after re-inflating could possibly get me home but more than likely would blow due to the current state the tire was in. I was thankful for the advice and told them to not worry about it and Id leave my car there overnight and take care of it in the morning. As I was in the process of calling Uber, Brad came back inside and told me not to worry about getting a ride because he had an extra tire that hed switch out for me (because of my warrantee). Not only was I extremely surprised but I was extremely grateful for his exceptional customer service. When it was all said and done, about 20-30 minutes later, I was on my way with my new tire and a smile on my face.Thanks again Brad and team! You all definitely made my day and also made me a customer for life!

My car was smoking and I was scared there was something wrong. So I pulled into this pep boys. They were amazing! So I had not done an oil change in a long time (opps) and my car needed oil bad. They were honest and fixed the issue, they also gave me good advice and next steps!! I went there because one time my O2 sensor turned on, I called a different shop and they told me they could do a $249 diagnostic. WHAT!!! Then I called this shop and the gentlemen asked a few questions about my and the last time I got gas. He told me to tighten the gas cap. And that was the issue!!! They proved to me they were trustworthy!!! Thank you so much!!!

So I drove from the Orlando area to Jacksonville for an appointment. After my appointment my car wouldn’t start, I tried everything and just couldn’t get it to turn on. I called around and the few places I called they were rude or made it seem like I was bothering them. Finally I called Pepboys and the first person I got was Bradly. He was not only patient with me but so, so kind. He explain everything to me as best as he can, and even was able to get my car towed to his shop. Bradly kept in touch with me the entire time letting me know the status about my car, and he told me the problem was way smaller then I thought and was able to fix it quicker then expected. When I got to the shop he just hand me my keys and told me everything was taken care of!!!! No charge for absolutely anything not even the tow. I DEFINITELY RECOMMEND THIS PLACE!! He made sure my vehicle was worked on in a timely fashion and his employee did an outstanding job on my vehicle and in explaining to me the cause of the reason for my service visit. I had a tail light out on my car so I went to a Tire Kingdom. The guy wanted to charge me $45.00 to put a new one in for me! I drove a mile up the road to this Pep Boys location. I almost paid it just because I work in outside sales and drive for a living and it was the middle of my work day. Not only did the Service Manager Bradley Jarrett replace it for me, but he didnt even charge me!! He just put me back on the road! Thank you Bradley!!

They have good products, decent prices, good service. However, after the guy tells me I can be okay with 2 tires instead of 4, and I start to consider it, I get the hard sell to take 4 tires (dont know if Ill have them again, cant promise the same price), then another hard sell on replacing motor mounts. I hate high pressure sales tactics like poison. I couldnt care less about your commission or bonus.I needed wiper blades today. I went somewhere else for them.

I truly had a WONDERFUL experience with this pep boys. Ive always trusted pep boys with my car but today they truly made my day. I live in an awful condo complex and my car got towed FROM MY OWN DRIVEWAY!! And I had to pay $200 just to get it out and my car wasnt starting on top of that. I brought my car in and they evaluated that my connection to the battery wasnt good and fixed and also fixed a torn seal on my tire since it was flat. It was all on Christmas Eve and they let me go free of charge after the repairs. Truly warmed my heart and restored my faith in humanity. I could truly cry how happy it made me. Definitely bring your car here for service! They have amazing customer service and take great care of your car. Im relieved to say my car is running again and Im having a wonderful Christmas Eve as well. Thank you pep boys!

Dropped my car off at 9 am (with an appointment!!) for a diagnostic and 7 hours later they still haven’t checked my car out.

I went to Pep Boys today to get a new set of tires and they really took care of me. I’d purchased a tire from a different location the day before. The manager recommended a better tire and offered to credit the tire I bought from a different location the day before. When I came to pick up my car, they advised me they found out after I left that the tire they recommended was out of stock so they upgraded me to even a better tire. Thanks Pep Boys for the excellent service.

I used to have a Nissan Sentra with all sorts of problems showing up. Corey helped me SO MUCH here! He was pleasant to work with and even when they were extremely busy with the phone ringing off the hook and a whole line of cars outside he and the team did their best to help. They were quick at getting work done in my vehicle so I could go back to work and the prices were very reasonable compared to other places. I’ve grown to trust this location more and more and when something happens to my car I would definitely trust taking my car here vs. tires plus or other places around here that have charged me $1000 when pep boys would get my problem solved for so much less and were nicer helping me too. Thank you Corey for your help. I’ve since traded in that car for a new one so I can have a touchscreen but this pep boys location was a lifesaver when I was experiencing issues with my last car.

Made appointment online. Showed up and was told they could not do the service because there was not an appropriate tech there. Said I should have called to confirm bc the appointment maker will let you make appointment no matter what. Drove 20mins for nothing.

I was making an 8 hour trip down to our new house to drop a load of our furniture off while pulling a huge enclosed trailer. I had a blowout on one of the trailer tires and searched for the nearest tire places. There was one place closer to where I was coming from and they told me Sorry, we have a four hour wait. So I went a half mile to Pep Boys and parked anywhere I could fit. I walked in and they were slammed busy. I felt the same thing coming. At first they quoted a two hour wait due to busy technicians which is understandable on a Friday afternoon with no appointment. I sat there for about ten minutes tired and stressed. Bradley Jarret, the store manager, heard what happened. Realized I was 8 hours from home and have been driving through the night and needed to get straight back to North Carolina to spend time with my daughter. He stopped everything he was doing personally. Walked out the trailer and told me he would change it right then and there. We then realized the rim was bent too. He drove me in his PERSONAL vehicle to get a rim. Waited in the parking lot for almost 20 minutes. (while his store was slam busy) Drove me back to the trailer and changed it on the side of the building in the 90 degree heat and asked for NOTHING in return. I was able to get back on the road safely and within an hour and fifteen minutes all said and done. If he goes above and beyond for a stranger from out of town, I can only imagine what he would do for his repeat and new customers. (which I will be when we complete the move) I would give 10 STARS if Google allowed!

My windshield wipers quit working while driving down I-95. I pulled off the interstate and pulled in to the first repair place I saw. They said it was almost closing time and parts could be hard to find being Sunday evening. They said they would look at it right quick though. They quickly discovered the a nut had come off connecting the blade mechanism to the motor. The guy stood out in the rain and helped me fix it so I could get back on the road. They would not let me pay them a dime. The manager and employees were very polite and helpful and went above and beyond to help me out. I highly recommend this shop. Whereas the Tire Kingdom on Phillips (by the Avenues Mall) and the Mavis Discount Tires (on Village Lake Circle) were unprofessionally dismissive, this guy was on point great. His technicians worked fast, and I recommend anyone to visit this store. It is refreshing to see the level of pride, and professionalism on some individuals. These guys are studs!!!!!!!!

Very disgusted and obviously lied to by Rick and Corey the last two days at the Jacksonville Baymeadows location. After coming in a day ago for minor service, an oil change and brake check, pep boys and the boys are still at it a day later. 2 days for what should take 2 hours. Yesterday the problem was they didnt have the brake pad and had to order it. Yo - its a Ford 150 and your Pep Boys. Go to your store down the street and get them. Let it go, Rick says it will be done in the morning. Then I was told late this morning after calling about why its not done Corey says Your rotors are on the lathe now. Truck should be done in an hour, maybe 1 1/2 hours. 2 hours later, they want to add a wheel bearing replacement. They say a loose wheel. This should have been noticed yesterday when checking the brakes, not a day later. I verify with them first that the truck will be done early afternoon, then OK the extra work. I come to the shop late this afternoon and see different - the rotors are still on the truck, brakes not even done, basically the truck has hardly been worked on since my check on it yesterday. No one even working on it. Obviously lied to. After voicing my frustration with this, mechanics come work on the truck. I watch the back rotors come off and over to the lathe. Lied to about that. Stand in manager Corey says they ordered the wrong bearing part, mumbles the truck didnt need it anyways. 2 days for minor work. Would be 3 if I had not come in and called them out on it. It seems the only way to get them to work on it is to sit in the shop and glare or its back to the end of the line. No apologies on the way out. No real manager on site to talk to. Very disappointed. Had good experiences at Pep Boys before this. Definitely not coming back to this location ever again. Good mechanics, very bad management.

Bad experience made appt took off from work and when I get there guy tells me they are short staff and just blew me off. Was surprised since is the one at mandarin. Was very rude will never give back there lost a day off from work for nothing then expects me to come back next day. Should had at least call me to cancel. Very unprofessional .

Thank you Pep Boys. The rear windshield wiper was not working properly, so I stopped in to ask for some assistance. They helped me out and tightened the loose screw. Such friendly service. Thank you again to the crew there.

Replaced 4 tires and front brakes. Rear tires didnt have correct pressure after their install. Off by 30lbs.

My truck broke down on an out of state trip and I used Pep Boys towing service to their shop. From the first encounter to the last the staff was absolutely amazing. Store Manager Bradley Jarrett went above and beyond to make my experience top notch. I needed a rental car as my truck would be a day or two all rental companies told me they had no cars and Bradley not only got me a rental but Enterpise gave me a ride at closing time and they hooked me up! Thank you Enterprise. Thank you Bradley and your staff for a wonderful experience in a difficult time.

These guys are great. They really care about getting your car fixed correctly and they are not trying to run up your bill. They are honest and they have helped me out now on numerous occasions. Roberto is an excellent mechanic, and he goes the extra mile. The management is good too. Rick is very understanding and really listens to the customer. Junior is the assistant mgr. I think, and he does a great job when Rick is unavailable. I would definitely take my car here again, and I plan on doing so.

I have been a customer for over 10 years. Honest, reliable, trustworthy, friendly and fair are just a few words I would use to describe ALL of the staff here. Brian is the absolute best!!! I would drive all the way across Jacksonville to continue to get the service I do here.

We had a leaking tire on a Honda CRV. the vehicle is needed for a camping trip the next morning. The baymeadows shop had the tire and waited for us to get there and put the new tire on after closing. Thanks guys for going above and beyond.

Since my relocation to Jacksonville I was regularly going to Pep boys for all my Honda 2004 repairs and maintenance. Never had any problems. Rick is always polite and advised appropriate needs. Recently I visited for Oil change and requested them to check the reason for rocking sound from engine.I thought there might be blot lose in front. Rick came up with $1100 repair for lower arm/bar replacement both sides with ball joint. He was kind enough to consider for $980. It was a shock for me. So I told I will schedule apt on weekend as it needed more time and I have no other car.My friend suggested me to check price at Auto parts. There they gave price as $230 and said lower Bar/ arm never need ball joint. Then I got doubt about this repair.....I still trusted Rick. Then I called a local mobile mechanic for a second opinion, he came and checked my car while I was in work and said your car is perfect but your front wheel all bolts are lose, ... it was about to come out... you are luck nothing major happened...I tightened all .He charged $20. To my surprise my car has no rocking... it is perfect. But I trusted Rick so much that I decided to check in big place. Then I went to Good Year free 29 point check. They gave a computer report saying I need alignment and all upper, lower arms ball joint for upper arm are good. I still trusted my buddy Rick... then went to Honda for alignment and asked them to check control arms. They did alignment and said My car is in perfect shape.Then I realized the Pep Boys Scam. I would have been innocent victim of Pep Boys customer looting. I do not know why they wanted to do this to me. I was loyal to Pep Boys for 3 years. This could be the manager or worker inefficiency. What pissed me most was they could not even see my lose left front wheel. What ever defense they have ... they suck.... Please be aware and cautious about this place. One star for my 3 years service to them. I do not know how much they cheated me in the past.

I have used this Pep Boys a few times since moving to Jacksonville. The staff seems to do a good job and they always have a good attitude. The prices are pretty standard. I keep going back because I trust they are honest and thorough each time they look at my car.

Ive been going to this location for over 5 years here in town, and I can easily say that they are the best auto-mechanics in the area. They are fast, responsive, friendly, dependable and most importantly through. Their prices are also very reasonable for the quality of work they do here.I have had over 15 visits with this location with friends and family included, and each time they have provided the same qualities of service listed above. Id highly recommend this location and its employees to anyone. They appear capable of working with just about anything. These guys are expert professionals. Weve used the Baymeadows location for years for my husbands car. We moved to another side of town and tried to go to the Pep Boys on Atlantic. Weve had nothing but trouble from that location. We now make the drive from Arlington to Baymeadows because they are that good, even fixing other places screw ups, for free sometimes. At one point, the manager even contacted the Atlantic store to try and figure out what was going on, but was left as clueless as us.TLDR - Go to Baymeadows and not Atlantic

This place is awesome Corey the manager helped me with my car troubles and I trust him with all my car servicing needs! All of the associates are very knowledgeable and know what theyre doing! Great place to get work done!

The only pep boys Ill go to in Jacksonville. I didnt quite give it 5 stars because the last service I scheduled, the guy was a little snippy (my dealership covers my oil changes for 3 yrs but I have to get it done at a Pep Boys location. He pretty much complained about how they have to call and get the go ahead from the company first. Understandable! You run a business. But your company signed a contract with my dealership to provide a service- why should I have to hear about your dislike of them not answering the phone?? Im only here to carry out my contract... poor customer service. But honestly thats the first time ever that Ive had a bad experience with this location.
