The worst place ever to visit. The owners daughter Jessica is rude and disrespectful. They dont value their customers at all. You are a liar. Jessica came on the phone disrespecting me to the point my teenage daughter stepped in. You messed up my food which she admitted and said I would receive a refund and didnt. I went off in her after listening to her constantly disrespect me and then she tried to disrespect my daughter. I dont care if you stick beside such a toxic person. I wouldnt ever want to visit that establishment again. I spent thousands of dollars in a two month period at your restaurant and I wish I never heard of you. Your bartender even admitted the night before that you messed up my food and requested I come back and get the meal replaced. Its only two things good to eat there anyway. You lie and say I complain every time. You also lie and say I call back on different days after I take my food home. I call you as soon as I get home and open my food. Ive also taken pictures of your mess ups. You all are trash. You never comp my food. Each time I come to your establishment I never pay under 60 for food for two people. I have paid over 80 dollars for two people so dont act like youre doing me a favor when you mess up my food. If I couldve rated a zero I would have. I waited for an hour and a half and spent my money.
Food was good ! The Martini cocktail good S/O to the bartender! Very extensive menu so, theres more to choose from when I go back😊 Jazz🦋
Amazing atmosphere, delicious food (huge portions), and the staff is super friendly. They are a bit short staffed, so bring your patience and taste buds. The tofu dish was amazing and I got to enjoy it as leftovers for a while! I will definitely be back.
Nice place to eat. Good food. Good people
Nah man….this place charges way too much to be putting out this kind of food…my son ordered pick up and when we got home, this is what the food looked like…the rice wasn’t even fresh…chicken thighs and rice are inexpensive…don’t charge high prices for day/days old food…will not be returning or recommending this place to anyone…
A large place to party a good food, they have large crowds every weekend, you can see you can dance and theres a lot of females out there to see so come on over and have fun see you guys there later
Good food, strong drinks & karaoke !! What else can you ask for ?!?!
There was no problem. Good food there. Karaoke bar also theres with groceries beside next to it
Nice and small ethnic store on side with stuffed buns and dumplings ready to steam. Good inventory a lot of thai progucts too.Restaurant is also nice with a diverse menu. Just took some evening snacks.
Great staff. Great food. Great space! They offer way more than just a sit down dining experience. They host parties, have a dance floor, host a Yoga class on Tuesdays, and Zumba on Saturdays!
I ordered an order of pandit and lumpia over the phone and was told is was going to be a 25 min order. When I arrived at the store my order hadnt been placed because there printer machine was down, and were apologetic and said it would be 15 min til I receive my order. I sat in there for another 30 min and still hadnt recieved my order, food is ok, but the service was terrible
First time, and it was great. Nick was amazing and was very at home. Food was even better! Loved it. Will be coming back next time in jax.
We only ordered lumpia but they were delicious and the service was top notch. If you want something different this is the place to try.
Awesome selection of food and drinks (Japanese whiskey). Very accommodating, stayed open a little longer so we could sing happy birthday.
It was nice and cleN. Friendly service
Cozy ambiance and a great place to unwind while listening to guests singing karaoke. Food is Filipino cuisine. A must try is their crispy pata and chicharong bulaklak.
Socializing and eating at Maharlika is ALWAYS a pleasure. Food is outstanding, environment is family safe and clean, wait staff is the best ever. The owner, Eddie Castillo, always makes sure that everything is perfect. Thanks Ed.
Great time and I will say that I have been satisfied with the service and I indulged better today.
Eggroll, monkey on the stick, TheBest fish Sisig and Kare kare.... appreciate the great food and service...
Love the food and Service!! Yumi is mixing up some great spirits and vibes!! Wonderful family run business food is made from scratch father and daughter knock it out of the park in the kitchen.
I cant begin to explain how amazing this little hole in the wall place is...we randomly found this place and Yumi was our server. We tried all kinds of different food which was all super yummy filled with flavor and the best part the food was fresh no cold food everything was hot which is important to me lol she informed us on different Filipino drinks and Filipino favorites I will definitely be coming back here and highly recommend this place the portions are big and its reasonably priced this is the type of restaurant u go with a group of family or friends and just have fun.
A nice new experience. We went to the Valentines event here, and what a find. Great friendly staff, good food, and wonderful entertainment. We had dancing, a DJ, and karaoke all in one night.
I loved it so much!!! The food, atmosphere, and service were all amazing. :)
Fantastic food but the service tends to be very slow. Takes so long to get drinks refilled.
Do you guys answer the phone at all??I called like 8 times!
My boyfriend’s family comes here frequently. Karaoke and line dancing every time we come by! Nothing makes you feel closer to the Philippines than this restaurant surrounded by friends and family. Some years ago, my grandma (her name was Esther) passed away and we had food catered from here. Ed knew of her and helped us out with plenty of food! Very friendly people and environment. I love going here.
We always have a good time here and the food is great!
I love this place! Great food, the lumpia is incredible.
The restaurant is connected to the convenient store (different hours) but during the daytime, you could go into the store and they have meals already made (just pick your combo platter) Friday and Saturday nights, the restaurant turns into a dance club with karaoke until 2am (with a full bar and DJ) and you could host any events or party there too! Its definitely a fun place and the food is excellent. Ps: Call your orders in advance if you do not want to wait too long for bigger parties. They do catering too :)
Lechon kulai, pancit Canton both good but service was slow due to understaffing. We were there 9 to 11pm, Sat night April 6th, 19. Little slow really, a few karoke singers, mostly Kano-kana, line dancing was a big hit perhaps cuz of the single babae mga. Worth the trip if your not too far away but go late maybe 10pm to eat then dance, I was probably the oldest there but enjoyed it.. Ingat ka.
The food was not good took to long to come
No one there on the weekend. Karaoke host was nice but did not have a clue.
The BFast menu states is served all day but not during BFast hours in the morning. The grill opens at 3PM more like merienda time.
Order trays of pancit they were delicious and great portions. Each tray for sure feeds 12 people with normal servings. And you may have leftovers.
Filipino food is great!!
Staffs are very hospitable and polite.
Great food
I had a great experience! Sheilay(my server) made me feel at home. The food was great! Just know that when you walk in just take a sit where ever you feel comfortable. I loved the karaoke and dance floor. The DJ was pretty awesome too. I recommend for anyone wanting a nice time with family and/or friends where you get food and entertainment 😊
Good food
Mmmmm sooooo good!
The food is great! Definitely will keep coming back!
I love this place a lot. there is a happy spirit. The kitcen is splendid. the service is powerful and the team is very professional. The pay is decent. deeply recommend.
I will share my experience and let you be the judge. We walked into the restaurant and nobody greeted us at the door. In fact it was completely empty, save what looked like a few musical instruments setup for a band. After approximately 10 minutes of standing around awkwardly a member of our party went searching for help. A few members of the kitchen staff stood around in back looking confused and we were finally shown a table. We sat down, and after another 10 minutes a server came by and asked us what we would like to drink. Water for the table seemed simple enough, but apparently this restaurant was fresh out. At the same time another party entered the restaurant, was promptly seated, and within 5 minutes their drink order was not only taken, but filled even before our own! Naturally we sent a member of our party out again for service after which we were provided water, sans apology of course. Our food arrived a day later, or what seemed like a day. We had 4 very small children in our party who we had to keep entertained during this extended waiting period. Naturally they brought the adult portions first and proceeded to place the hottest plates directly in front of the smallest children. Luckily no one was burned. Finally they bring out the scalding hot spaghetti on glass plates complete with a giant serving fork. As for the food, since the owners of the establishment dont seem to value their customers or their time, I will decline to comment. If you have half a day to spare, feel free to try it yourself.
I wanted to love this so much because it is rare to find a Filipino eatery... However, they were out of what I originally want to order (okay, it happens when certain quantities of delicious food are made, I get it.) So after QUITE awhile after ordering I was informed of this and picked something else. My drink ran out and I didnt see our server anywhere for awhile. Then when our food arrived, the dish was room temp and, no, its supposed to be hot... After another long period of time we got to relay this to server and she did bring out a hot plate of food relatively soon and explained how she brought out the wrong plate before (???)Please, please, please attend to your customers and Im sure you guys would have a plethora of rave reviews. I need pork adobo in my life but I get frustrated when I feel like my presence is unwelcomed.
I eat here a lot, I mean a lot!! I love the food, the lunch buffet they serve is always good. And the owner Eddie care about his company and his clients. If you don;t like the food then you dont know anything about original Filipino cooking.
Great Pinoy food delicacies! Eating out is great feeling without a mask, this is what freedom is all about.
I always come purchasing some food in this spot. I enjoy the prompt customer service and well prepared food. Highly recommended.
This is one of the weirdest and coolest restaurants Ive ever visited. Its Philippine food, which is not easy to find in my area. Theres a deejay, and after a certain time, they start playing j pop, k pop, etc. Theres a crowd of regulars who dress appropriately and dance. Its a nice scene.
The food here is a hidden gem! So fresh so home cooked. When food is that good, I dont mind waiting a little extra. The wait wasnt bad though. The server wasnt the best server ever, but she was friendly and did nothing wrong. People leaving this place bad reviews over petty things are doing everyone else who values good food a disservice. Five stars all the way. My new favorite place. Get the lumpia. The beef maharlika was also phenomenal. Like soul food from the Philippines.
Maharlika is our new favorite spot! I loved the fact that I could go somewhere on a Saturday night and have a great time with my teenagers! We sang kareoke until 2 am and the crowd had me feeling like Beyonce! There was so much love!! Line dancing was amazing and it really was a family environment!! But there were still drinks available for the adults. Havent had this much fun in years!
I tried their food for the first time at the Riverside Arts Market on 10/29/2016. It was beyond delicious. Take it from a chunky person because we know good, quality food. I wrote down their information and found their page immediately after I got home. I will be going to the restaurant tomorrow and its a 30 minute drive from where I live.
I love this place. I wish that I could say that I have explored the menu more but I have not. I cannot get pass the luppia and the pancit. The food is so good.
The food is good, but you do feel attitude if you are not of the same nationality.
Great food. Home cooked taste and many difficult Filipino dishes that require long preparation time. The food taste like my mom home cooked food.Friendly staff.
The food was fantastic 😋
I gave a 3 to average my two separate experiences. 4 stars for their lunch line item offerings, and 2 stars for their sit down dinner offering. For lunch, this was a good deal. They had the basic line item offerings. Good price point, yummy, and quick. One downfall was that lumpia was separate and on the expensive side. For dinner, this was not a good experience. Went here for dinner w my family who was visiting from out of town. There were ten of us and we were the only ones there. We ordered a good amount of food but it took forever and the portions were on the smaller side. Our meal cost over 200 dollars and my mom commented that it probably would have cost 50 bucks for that in San Diego. Will come back for lunch but never again for dinner.
Honestly the food here is really good. The service here is garbage though. Ive had decent service at the bar later in the evening but any other time...there is nobody helping anyone hardly. I watched workers mess up payments and along with many others, I was waiting for anyone to help with a drink or food for a ridiculous amount of time. Its amateur hour. The 2 stars is just because the food is good. Otherwise, probably not coming here again.
The food is great. They could use more servers during the weekend, especially when there are group parties going on. We were told there were only 2 servers that night and from what I heard there were 3 big birthday parties at the same time. We were told to be patient, which was fine, but we ordered at 730 pm and did not receive our food until about two hours later--and at that time, what I ordered was not even complete. Our drinks were in cans ( not sure if we needed to request glasses with ice ) and the music could be better to appease just more than the usual line dance crowd. Line dance music I can understand, but mix it up with Top 40, 80s, club, etc. could have more people on the dance floor. I havent eaten there during the day, but hopefully the service will be much better.
Nice environment but food prices are too high
Love the place, the staff and the food. We eat here almost every day every time were around town. Been to different Filipino resto around Jacksonville and this place is by far the best and authentic Pinoy resto.
Traditional Filipino favorites available for dine in or takeout. I still prefer Mom or Dads home cooking. Theres a Filipino grocery adjacent to the restaurant that serves from the same kitchen if you crave something quick during a shopping visit.
Love this place
The waitress are too slow, the food are not good this time, no meat on pinakbet, no meat on minudo, no meat on pancit noodle, the waitress dont know what shes doing.
This place seems very advantageous for a large gathering such as Event presentation, birthdays and other functions. Well equipped with Monitors and sound system. Owner is very hospitable and accommodating. Most specifically the Service that was provided was awesome! And guess what, Food was excellent and very tasty. Feels like am in A signature Filipino restaurant with a twist. I Highly recommend to all kababayans Fellow Pinoy.
Food is good. Atmosphere is nice, even the kerokee they provide. Only complaint is slow service. Every time I have come it takes a while for food and drinks. The servers dont try to go that fast.
Fun and quirky. Decent food, definitely a great place to get started on Filipino cuisine if youre a beginner. Awesome decor, so very Filipino! Woohoo!
Food was soo yummy and fresh
Really interesting and tasty food! Each plate serves 2-3 people. Very family-like restaurant.
Its a good for just relaxing the music is good and the foods is good also
It was just like what the majority of the commented said - SERVICE IS HORRIBLE! After an hour and a half, they told us one their cooks left. There was a large party there too. It would have been nice to let us know at the time we arrived they were short staff, we would have decided to go somewhere else. This place needs to read all these comments and do something about their service. Sorry great food does not make up the difference. THE PROBLEM IS FIXABLE IF THEY CARE ENOUGH TO DO SO.
What can I say halo halo better than jollibee no line fast service..you eat and shop at the same time awesome
Good food. Slow service... The portions are generous. Overall a good value.
Eddy and Devine are great hosts and go above and beyond to make guests feel like royalty.
Authentic Philipino food, decor and feel. Dont expect to be greeted and seated, just relax and help yourself and enjoy great food and atmosphere. They have a bar and karaoke if thats what you into. A lot of space to accommodate big parties. Lumpias are great, plates can accommodate 3-4 people easily.
Great place for good times and great foods and drink s.
Entertainment is good but food service needs to improve.
Great place for karaoke. Had wings and they were good. Tried San Miguel & Red Horse beer from Philippines.
I was here on Wednesday night and it was a bit of a wait on the server (10 mins or so) at the beginning but the food was worth the wait. The portions are pretty big (they serve in a family size), so don’t worry too much about the price. I would definitely recommend to a friend or if you just want break from the norm.
I feel at home here. Good place, fun and people!
Super friendly staff and clean store this will be my go-to spot for Filipino foods
Drive 3 hrs to enjoy the weekend at jax. Bring my friends and the whole maharlika is reserved and closed for public... on a Saturday..
Marharlika has one of the best unique menu with a great customer service, and a cheerful environment! Will definitely visit again 👍
Great food good staff always something going on
Karaoke and line dancing plus a nice atmosphere with good food!
Went there for a birthday party. What a fun place to eat and enjoy friends. The food was delicious and plentiful.
Just like what everyone has already said. They really need to IMPROVE on their customer service. Also, expect to wait 30 mins to 1 hour on your food. Other than that, the food is good.
Love their Pancit
The slowest service in history! We had my brothers birthday dinner there, reserved it and they triple booked the restaurant along with a big singing competition finals. It qas an unorganized chaotic mess. The food was delicious, at least what we were able to try because they cut to a VERY limited menu without letting us know. We were extremely disappointed.
