Called randomly to get a tire leak repair because all the places I called were booked and busy for days and they said no appointment needed, fixed my tire for free in 10 minutes. The best. They are so nice!!!! 10/10 recommendation
Robert and Jason were so helpful! I had to make a 20 hour trek on my own to LA and had a chip on my sidewall that the internet said I absolutely HAD to get repaired. They helped me evaluate and gave me all possible options + suggestions on how to proceed without breaking the bank. They also helped me look at the damage in person to better assess and were so friendly and professional. Thank you!
Robert and his staff could not have been more helpful with both of our teenagers cars. We needed diagnostics and help figuring out a variety of issues and they not only did great work - they gave our kids a good experience (which is amazing!). Robert is a frequent name in our household now! Thanks so much!
Amazing service - Robert at the front desk is phenomenal! So helpful, kind, and efficient. I will be back time and time again because of this!
Completely unprofessional ripoff! I brought my car there for what I thought was a radiator repair and replacement. They gave me an estimate of $3800.00. Said blown head gasket and so on. No proof of testing provided. I know what a car acts like when it has a blown gasket. I said NO and picked my car up. To add insult to injury, the guy said to me I know this is a big project for you, Ill take it off your hands for $500. I just took it to a qualified repair shop and they did all the testing and provided proof. Just as we thought, its just a radiator problem. Only $540.00. BEWARE!
Friendly service! Went in for a tire patch and had an very enjoyable experience! I would not expect this from a nationwide chain but this place is an exception.
They’re rude and dishonest. Most of the good reviews are probably fake based on what others have analyzed
Very friendly staff, and high quality work. I didnt expect a chain-store auto shop to be able to do custom work like they did on my exhaust. They were upfront about costs and try to help you out where they can.Robert is a super swell guy, I believe he is the shop manager. Give him a call youll see what I mean
Nice guys, doing good work
Alex was great, Did a good job.He was knowledgeable and friendly.
I came with a staple on a tire and was leaking air slightly. Guys had a lot of work but still helped me with respect, professionalism, and didnt want to oversell at all. I will definitely come back to get my car serviced here.
I dont know a lot about cars so finding a shop I can trust has always been a high priority for me. I started using Midas about 3 years ago for oil changes and performing an overall maintenance check of my vehicle. Even though I dont know a lot about cars, I do my due diligence and often times got a second opinion. It turns out the second opinion would always results in additional items getting added to the list. When I took it back to Midas they always let me know why those other items were not important to get fixed right now. This last time around, they went above and beyond, helping me strategically prioritize a break replacement that needed to get done along with giving me a discount I didnt even know was being offered at the time. After 3 years I feel comfortable giving them a review that attests to their knowledge, fairness and proficiency.
Superb service from these guys
The team here took care of me quickly, professionally and were all very nice. This where I will do all my auto business moving forward.
SCAMMERS. Quote way above any other shop and try to fool you into believing their lies about why the cost is so high. They also lie to you to buy additional parts that you don’t need. Leaves you livid. Also, Rob is a rude fool.
Fixed my flat tire on the spot, filled my tires and sent me on my way. Everyone was very helpful and personable. Can’t say the same for the other tire shop down the street.
Good group of people. service was fast. everyone seemed honest. good price. the other customers that visited all seemed happy. great shop.
I got my exhaust fixed with an estimated price that was already lower than what I had expected. Got a call and found out they found an easier way to fix it and lowered the bill even more. Great service and work at an excellent price. Will be coming here more often.
Manager wasnt wearing a mask, I had to ask him to put one on. Felt like I was being upsold to go with the more expensive option. Wasnt consumer friendly, will not be returning.
Great service! They are not jokes !, They are pros ! Fast.. Skip the dealer . Go to them...
My car failed the emissions test so I took it here to have it checked. Our check engine light had been on because our gas cap wasn’t sealing all the way. We knew this beforehand and I told him I thought this was the issue. They verified that it was and replaced the gas cap. They get two stars because they fixed the problem and did it in a timely manner. The reason for the low rating is what they charged. It was about $15 for the new gas cap but they charged $150 for labor. For literally screwing on a new gas cap like you would when you are filling your car.We asked about it and they said it was “just in case” I needed to get a waiver for the Washington state registration. If you don’t pass the emissions test again you can get a waiver if you prove you paid more than $150 for repairs. If you guarantee your repairs and the car passed your tests why do you need to charge so much “just in case”? I definitely felt taken advantage of and frustrated by their treatment. I do not recommend going here if you want honest pricing.
My go-to neighborhood oil change establishment. Schedule online, fast service and reasonably priced.
The managers are always straightforward about costs and they schedule my car in right away. I had been searching for a mechanic for my newest car and was pleasantly surprised to find out Midas provides all the same services a mechanic shop does. I highly recommend Midas Issaquah!
Great
Refused to take used oil. Respectable shops take used oil. When a quick lube shop is willing to do the right thing while a full service shop like Midas refuses, you know there are other problems behind the scenes. I will update if they respond to this and correct their way. Otherwise the one star is well deserved.
Eric was great to work with. Honest with great follow up.. Fair pricing. Would not hesitate to go back
Eric the manager and his team have worked on both my cars doing the brakes. They are courteous and their work is excellent and fairly priced. I always thought Midas just did brakes but just discovered they do it all. Oil changes, shocks, tires, suspensions... basically everything. Highly recommended
Honest great team
Thank you so much for taking care of my daughters Jeep! You guys are great!
I would rate this place a 10 if I could! John exceeded my expectations when I went in to ask about an oil change, I mentioned I had a trip coming up and he set me up to have my car checked out. He said it was complementary!! Nice! Ed also helped me out with a rubbing issue on my truck fender, he spent about 45 minutes working on it and also did not charge me at all! I have finally found a place where they take the utmost care of their customers, their vehicles and do not charge for anything unnecessary. They are very knowledgeable, have a positive atmosphere and are professional to work with. They have my business from now on and I have been handing their cards out. Yes, they are that good!
Excellent service. Excellent price. But I will continue to take my car here because of the customer service. The manager and the other mechanics are great!
More than five years after trading my pickup for a car, and more than six-and-a-half years after I no longer worked at the Safeway that gave my coupons for cheap oils changes, the man at the front desk (whose name I forget - dang it!) still remembered my face and truck. Super friendly, huge smile, and very helpful. Two days later, the car had a light come on (which I think had nothing to do the the oil change), and driving by on the way to work, they were able to fix the problem and have me out of there in about ten minutes. Thanks, guys!
Prompt, professional and compassionate. Eric,Andreas,Kanaan and Jerimiah helped me fix a major brake problem. They were very..flexible with payment options and didva great job. They are honest and dont try to tack on anything past what you ask for. A wonderful team at a wonderful shop. I highly recommend using this mechanic service.
Awesome customer service and support!
They treated me well, worked fast and accepted a walk-in. I am pleased with their service.
My experience with them is Ok. They were super nice to offer a free patch for my tire. However, they did it wrong and it was leaking after two patches. I had to replace all four of my tires as it’s an AWD vehicle. I will definitely not going there if my tire need patched next time.
John is friendly, fair, and honest. All you could ask for in a mechanic. I have been to several different garages in the eastside area, and Midas is the best priced, quickest service, and most informational. I wouldnt want to take my 11 year old car anywhere else.
Great experience here, owner was super friendly and straight with me. Repair was cheaper than estimated. Would go back if my car needed help!
Honest and up front very much appreciate the non service needed on my vehicle...thanks again
Great service and, it seems the price is pretty competitive. Ive been using them for my last 2 cars since 6 years ago
I met with a clerk up front on a late Friday afternoon right before the store closed. He was unable to help me, but offered to take my car if I were to leave it there and told me he would be able to fix it by end of Saturday. He was very apologetic as there was not much else he could do for me. This gentleman was very kind, however. I would definitely visit this place again.
I mostly worked with John, during my earlier visits, he was an awesome person in Customer Service, not sure why he is not with this company. Today I went to fix little stuffs they just removed the hanging plates from bottom of my car and put rim back to my tire, this was not even 5 minutes work and they charged $70 for this, this is ridiculous and they overcharged me. I was going here because I built a trust over time that they dont overcharge and always suggest right things that others dont. But Today I was overcharged so giving 3 stars. and will suggest to check the price first before going there because later they may give you a shock by overcharging you.. Another suggestion for Midas, take good care of your good employees else you will keep loosing your business, by the way I am not going to this place again based on my todays experience! I went there several times because of John earlier, and 3 stars is because of my earlier great experience with John and team, but as now staff got changed and they started to overcharge, I am going to avoid this place!
There is a general anxiety that seems to rear its ugly head when dealing with anything automotive, even with something as seemingly simple as an oil change. There are so many horror stories out there that even when you see a company with good reviews there remains a sense of doubt. It was time for my daughter to get the oil changed in her 2005 Ford Escape. The place she normally takes it is not open on Saturdays. We decided to try another location and this shop was highly rated.I called them up and scheduled an oil change for Saturday morning. They explained they also perform a quick check of other systems when they do the oil change. Great!Saturday morning came and we dropped off the car. They said it would be an hour or so until we could pick it up. They would call when it was done or if they found anything during their check.Received a call about 45 minutes later that the oil change was complete but they found some filters that needed to be changed, a bulb by the rear license plate that was out and that when she has her brakes worked on next to change the brake fluid.Great - had them change the filters (glad we did as they turned out to be filthy - it was a used car when we bought it two years ago and we dont know when they were last changed, if ever).A bit later were were called the car was ready. Took my daughter down to pick it up. She paid for the work and we were on our way. She decided to go home via the freeway because she was going to stop and get gas. I get a call from her that she was on the side of the road as her car was having some issues. I made my way over to her and checked things out. I could not find anything wrong but called the shop. They said to bring it by and they would take a look at it. I drove it back with no issues. They came out immediately and took a look. My daughter mentioned that she thought the battery light might have come on when it lost power. They plugged it into their computer but there were no errors. They also checked and cleaned the airflow monitor to see if something, like a pine needle or spider web may have broke loose when they changed the air filter. They did another quick inspection but couldnt find anything wrong. Car was working fine so we headed home. This time I drove her car.On my way home I pushed the car hard so that I could see if I could produce the same issue. Turns out that I did. Going up the big hill to the plateau I heard a thud and it felt like I ran over something. I lost power steering and the battery light came on. I made it home (just a short distance) and we saw that the belt was dangling down. They did give us a coupon for a free oil change!I called the shop again and they said not to drive it and asked if it could be towed back (so glad we paid for AAA for our daughter! They were great too as well as the driver from Rubys Towing). A couple of hours later we were back at the shop. They brought it in and changed out the broken belt. They drove it around, including on the freeway to make sure it was 100%. When the mechanic returned he handed me the keys and said there was no charge for the belt or the time to fix it.I was shocked as it was truly not their fault. It was just happenstance. I tried to pay but they refused. I am now a customer for life! Great service.
RatingEek! Methinks not.I took my truck in for a new muffler and to repair some exhaust leaks. They put a new exhaust manifold gasket in and put bolts in place of the factory studs and nuts. One of the bolts was cross threaded in and not even tight. The other 2 bolts backed out 2 days later and my exhaust leak came back.Furthermore, I was pretty disappointed that they merely clamped the muffler on. Most shops seem to weld the mufflers on. I could have clamped a muffler on myself and saved myself a ton of money and hassle. Definitely will not be going back or recommending them to anyone
I called a couple of weeks ago to get a quote on installing my rotors, calipers, and pads on my vehicle. All of the parts were previously ordered from Amazon in a kit. The price quote Id previously received was 165.00 per axle. Yesterday I called to make an appointment and was told the price was close to 300.00 per axle if I had hydraulic because they would need to be drained. After reading the numerous reviews here I see a theme.Look at the majority of good reviews, do you notice a theme? There isnt much detail and this leads me to think in my personal opinion the majority of the positive reviews are fake reviews. Now look at the negative reviews, they are detailed about their experiences and the common theme is scams and overcharging.
The customer service here is amazing! I found out last minute that I had a nail in my tire so I called them up after being turned down by a couple other places. They told me to bring my car in to see what they could do. They were just about to close too. I was patched up good as new within 15 minutes! They genuinely care and it’s apparent! Without them I would have been stranded. Thank you Midas Issaquah!
Great Service. I came to this Midas through a recommendation from a friend. John was super friendly and did a great job fixing my brakes!
John is my favorite car gentlemen. He is always happy and takes good care of me. My family also goes to Midas because of John.
Very fast and nice people. Fixed my tire in about 30mins and got me back on the road in time for work. Would definitely go back.
Quoted $1000 to do rotors/pads. Ended up saying Just tell me a price ..Tried to tell me I should just sell vehicle. Took to my mechanic in Bellevue who fixed pressure sensor/leak in Tx, and did brakes all for $400. Nice guys at Midas but overcharging or slow to try and get $800 labor cost out of $250 part job which takes an hour. I mean Id rather do it myself. Really shocked at the terrible quote for routine job, wouldnt go back. They didnt mess my car up though so 2 stars
I give it a 5/5 every time I’ve been there it was great, my dad works there
Went in for a Saturday appointment at 8am to have spark plugs replaced, oil changed, and tranny fluid flushed. They knew exactly what work was going to be happening, on exactly what type of vehicle for over a week, but still didnt even start gathering information about the parts needed until 10am. At noon when they finally had the parts required they started work, and finished in the 5 hours I had expected it to take. I was mostly disappointed by the lack of concern for an appointment that I made with them well in advance. Why should I bother coming at 8am on a Saturday and sitting in the waiting area for 9 hours, when I could have just come at noon and waited 5 hours? Shows a lack of professionalism to not be prepared for an appointment with this kind of prep time.
These guys are awesome. I got a flat on my rear right tire on a car I just purchased. On the Saturday after Thanksgiving when they were swamped with other cars to fix they fit me in. I called in and they told me to bring it in. I dropped off my car and was just hoping that they might be able to get it fixed the same day. Less than 2 hours later they called to tell me my car was ready to go. My wife dropped me off at their store and John hands me the keys and says its on the house. These guys went above and beyond. They will definitely be getting my business going forward. Thanks Issaquah Midas.
This place is phenomenal, quick service, at a lower cost, they provide honest advice that always saves you Monday at the end.
So, Im leery about taking my car anywhere. I have a shop. But this shop doesnt do brakes/tires so I suspiciously brought my car to Midas. John was ridiculously friendly and after an hour I got a phone call that my rotors were warped, but my pads were fine. John said he didnt want to charge me so hed have the surfaces sanded and I should come back when the pads were lower. No charge. What?! Oh Ill be back and Ive got a new shop. O highly recommend their honest service.
These guys are really bad. Broke a part on my car just putting on my snow tires, which they finally fixed after 3 separate appointments, only to misquote me by hundreds of dollars and give me the runaround on a discount Erik had offered me for my trouble. Beware talking to Erik-- at least make sure you keep everything in writing.
Unfortunately for Midas, their chain will be judged on the actions of a single shop. This store evaluated my pickup truck today for rear drum brakes. This same store did the rear drum brakes at about 60,000 miles - today the vehicle has about 79,000 miles. After their free check, the store called me to say that the pads could be replaced under the warranty but that unfortunately the rear drums were so rusted out that they could not even be turned. The quote was $644.00 for new brake drums.I politely asked them to not do the work.Enter Les Schwab in Renton. They took the truck in with no explanation from me, just Please check out the rear brakes. Their diagnosis - no brake job needed, they wouldnt even sell me brake linings because they arent needed yet. I asked about the condition of the drums and I was told they are fine.Beware - this is apparently the kind of shop that gives the vehicle repair industry a bad name.
I took my 98 Civic in for an oil change and they did it on time and at a low price. Good place to make an appointment and then shop at the nearby center.
Really good place.
Have been going there for 20+ years. I trust Ed, Jason and his team on all of our cars.
I had a loose, rattling muffler and they secured it so that it is nearly silent.
Brakes Pad Change - Dont bring car to themOn July 28, I dropped my Mitsubishi Montero 2003 car for simple front wheel brake pad change. The shop called me saying they did complete inspection and the brakes system needs to be repaired. Quote: 2500Brakes work perfectly fine. Just needed brake pad change. They also told me that when they remove one of the wheels, the bolt that holds wheel broke. How can that be? It was holding fine before inspection, which I never authorized. After leaving overnight with them, they charge me 30 to replace bolt. I dont understand and still believe I was scam, because all wheels had fine bolts and after inspection oner broke. Makes no sensePicked up car on July 29, they replaced oner bolt, which somehow broke. I still think it is Shop fault. Sham, horrible serviceI would not go this shop anymore and dont recommend anyone to do it. It used to be good. Got worse beyond. Manager tries to always tell you stupid MIDAS policy of where they have to perform full inspection. What they told tell you. If they part magically brakes, you pay for it. Total sham. Parts dont brake by themselves when wheels are removed. Shop breaks it and they charge you for it.
Outstanding.
BEWARE - I think these guys are crooks. The first time my car was repaired by them and I picked up my car, I had a noise in my fan that wasnt there when I originally left my car. They diagnosed a piece of paper stuck in the fan. I asked them to save the paper they removed from the fan but, when I asked for the paper, they didnt have it. I was told it was accidently thrown away.I foolishly took my car back a year later for a squeal noise. I was told the exhaust manifold was cracked (which by the way was replaced 17 months earlier by another shop). When I questioned this, I was called the next day - again by the front desk guy - who told me the master mechanic took a look and could produce the squeal from the alternator. I asked about the crack in the exhaust manifold and he confirmed there was a crack. I gave the OK for the manifold to be replaced along with the alternator but, I was quite clear that I wanted the cracked manifold back so, I could take it to the shop that had replaced it 17 months earlier. You guessed it. When I went to pickup my car, the cracked manifold was not at the shop. I was told the owner came in and picked up all scrap metal earlier in the day and took it to recycling. Mind you, this was done on the same day they were suppose to show me the manifold AND apparently it was the first time the owner had taken scrap metal to recycling himself. I fell for a scam twice and the squeal is still there!!, Hopefully, you decide to stay FAR AWAY from this shop.
Multiple cars, multiple issues, all solved quickly and courteously.
My mother brought her car in for a free routine brake check up expecting to be told brake pads were needed. After a few hours of waiting they called and quoted her $1200 for new rear pads, calipers and rotors due to everything being rusted solid needless to say she was more than a little surprised since the brakes had been working sufficiently when she brought the car in. She called me and asked if I though she should give them the go ahead and I advised her to allow me to take a look at the brakes beforehand. Upon investigation I discovered no moving parts in the entire braking system, front or rear, had rusted solid. In fact there was very little rust if any at all. All in all it cost me about $75 to replace the pads for all four calipers and the brake fluid and the car is now braking like new. Neither she or I will ever go to Midas again after this experience. Had I not known anything about cars they would have taken advantage of an average costumer in an ordinary scenario which leads me to believe this likely happens often. My hope is that people in similar situations will read this and decide to get a second opinion. As it turns out shops apparently do this because they can replace decent parts with inferior quality re-manufactured parts (that will require more frequent servicing to maintain) for pretty cheap, charge a premium and resell your old parts either as used or to re-manufacturers to maximize profit margins.
My son took his car to midas to have the ride height adjusted, get a tire fixed, and fix a coolant leak. They insisted on replacing the suspension because they could not raise it (even though it is an adjustable kit) and they also told my son that the coolant leak was coming from the engine and that it needed an engine swap. They wanted us to spend around $3000 in repairs, we told them no and took the car home and now the car is leaking coolant from another pipe, the suspension is shot, and 2 of the tires were punctured... Yesterday my son took the car to a VW mechanic and he managed to fix the coolant leak, and the suspension for less than $500 (thermostat was leaking, and a pipe was punctured by midas) These people are extremely unprofessional, and crooks.
These guys are FANTASTIC!! They are my new Go To for oil changes, breaks, and tires
Great service
They asked for $700+ for fixing my right turn signal. I found another shop which only charged me $21 for replacing a light bulb. That speaks all.
Expensive
Ed was wonderful and they took care of everything so quickly. They didn’t charge me for repairing my flat tire! They took all the stress out of the situation and made everything so easy. Highly recommend!
Usually
