Life had different plans for me and BJJ no longer become part of my life, but it was the most fun hobby I have picked up over the years.I explained to Colin I had to quit in the middle of the contract due to health issues and as I was reaching my pocket for the early termination fee, Colin said dont worry about the fee and stuff, just stay healthy. Maybe well golf sometimes and we said our goodbyes.This was in 2019 and I still remember fondly of how Colin cared so much about someone who was there only for 4 months. Truly a great mentor and a friend.I moved to CA so that golf thing never happened, but I have nothing but praise for this place.I wish you all the best.p.s: when i become super rich, Ill buy a neon sign for your gym~!

The techniques here are different than elsewhere. Ive done jiu jitsu for a couple years, and for a long time had trouble with some of the basic techniques. Elsewhere, the guidance for more advanced techniques was detailed, but for the basics was, Yeah, you just do it. The Caio Terra method is much more methodical, and it worked for my body and proportions (58 ~150 lbs). With that step-by-step process, I found that training partners who beat me regularly could barely keep up with the series of attacks I could throw at them. Why? Because I finally understood the small intermediate steps that set up the basic technique. Caio isnt the instructor here, but the instructor is great. I highly recommend this gym!

I’m a student at Sloth Jiu Jitsu, an affiliate with Caio Terra, and I just wanted to say how much I love training at this facility. I was welcomed with open arms by Professor Collin Grayson, as well as his students. I usually attend the morning class, one of many available times he has on his schedule. And even at 6am in the morning, you get 110% from coach Grayson. If you’re looking to get started, and you’re in the local Irving area, drop in, and I promise you, you won’t regret it. He will treat you like one of his own, and so will his students.

Absolutely, loved visiting this school. I was in town for a work trip (one week) and was looking for a place to ground me in something familiar. These guys were among one of the top rated in the area and totally lived up to their reputation. Collin and his crew were VERY inviting and treated me like family from the minute we spoke on the phone. The training was technical and the atmosphere focuses on camaraderie. Will, Paul and Julian were among some of the other people I met their. Great school, great vibe and overall great time. Thanks for making me feel at home guys! Ill be back next time Im in the area.

CTA-Irving is a rare facility where it’s a Team over me Attitude. The teaching is as good as they come and they care. Friends and family for life no matter if your just beginning or an expert- but please leave your ego at the door because they are really good at what they do.

Joining Caio Terra has been nothing short of an amazing experience.I have never had the opportunity to take any form of martial arts before Jiu Jitsu and I could not think of a more welcoming and informative experience than the one I received from Collin Graysons gym.Each class flows and builds nicely on previously covered material.
