Very helpful here. Super good customer service. He was helped me get squared away super quickly and she was very friendly.
I didn’t see the reviews until after I rented. And I don’t understand. The gal was super nice and helpful. It was an emergency needed van and they made me feel so relieved. The van was perfect. The timing was perfect and the service even better. I will absolutely be coming back when needed. And when family comes into town I will send them there for sure. Thanks so much and don’t listen to the other comments.
I do not recommend to rent a car from this place. I had a terrible experience, rented a car and then was hit on my credit card with additional charges over $700. Scammers! They already lost their BBB accreditation and failed to resolve multiple complaints. They violated their owe rental agreement and added additional charges to it. My rental had unlimited mileage, and I have it in writing, but they decided to change that later and charge me for mileage. They also illegally store my credit card details after I swiped it to pay once, they kept credit card information in their system and charged my card without my authorization. DO NOT rent a car from Allied-Rent-a-Car!
The absolute worst experience I have ever had with a rental. First they gave me a car that looked like it was in 5 accidents, but I was in a rush, so had to take it. Keep it mind I live local so barley had to use the car. So then I Return it and then get an email that charged almost $100 in over mileage fee!!! Saying I drove it over 600 miles!!!!!!!! I barley drove the car! NEVER EVER RENT FROM THIS PLACE!!!! All I can say is they better refund me my money!!!!!
Please do yourself a favor by not renting a car from here. First the man at the counter said I had to buy the insurance unless I showed him proof of insurance. I told him that that was not true so he dropped it. The first car they gave me reeked of cigarette smoke. I almost gagged. The man renting it to me told me it was the cleaning agent they use.... I know how cigarettes smell. He told me this was the only car they had in that size so I took it. I was one block away when I noticed that the car would not go out of first gear and the engine light was on. I returned it and wanted to cancel my contract. I was told they would charge me for it anyway as the contract had no refund. He came up with another car..... this is after he told me they had no other cars. At least this one did not smell like cigarettes. The car was so bad I returned it a day early. No credit for early return. Yesterday I looked at my credit card and there was a mysterious 25.99 dollar charge. I have no idea what it was for.
Been with them couple years, first time thinking putting a review.cause they have really good car and service. I think car rental most time you pick up and go,you never will need to seat down. Most the time people will never leaves good reviews. Also there price always the best in town.
It should be a rating of Negative 5. Beware of the low prices because you have to give them a credit card deposit of $200. That gives them the opportunity to overcharge you. I had a problem with the car and when I complained, the clerk offered to bring me a another car. I was not told they would charge me $35 for a service fee and $38 for gas!!!!! I drove 10 miles how can that be $38 in gas. The fees were deducted from my deposit and I have been fighting with them over a refund ever since. The car had high mileage - over 48,000 and the replacement car had over 35,000. The replacement car smelled of cigarette smoke. The original car had a stain on back seat. Avoid this agency, low price is not worth the poor quality of cars.
If I could give half of a star or if negative stars existed this place would get that type of a review. This place is a total scam. Do yourself a favor and go to a more well known rental car establishment. At first I thought they were on the up and up because they had the car I asked for, the agent and I both examined the car before I drove off. Now mind you, the car ALREADY HAD minor dings/dents and scratches here and there but I was fine with that especially since the agent took pictures as proof of the condition the car was in before I drove off. Boy was I wrong.Heres where they got me. I return the car and while I doing the return process with one agent, another agent goes to examine the car without me upon its return and comes back with current photos saying the car has a new scratch since its been in my possession. This scratch is VERY SMALL and till this day I believe that scratch was there before I got it and they used an older photo of the car door before it had that scratch. We go back and forth disputing this scratch and they finally say they would have one of their specialists who deal with claims to call me and that my $200.00 hold would be put back on my credit card once this person calls me. Especially because I made it CLEAR that I want my auto insurance to take care of this scratch they accuse me of and I DONT WANT my $200.00 hold to go toward this scratch.Long story short, NO ONE FROM ALLIED EVER FOLLOWED UP WITH ME ABOUT THIS SCRATCH THEY CLAIM HAPPENED DURING MY POSSESSION OF THEIR CAR. And I get my next credit card statement and Im charged an even $500.00 from Allied.
Great experience! Very good rate, personnel were very friendly, fast and accomodating, nice clean car. I would definitely recommend them.
After reading all these reviews, I was worried we would receive fraudulent follow-up charges from this rental car agency. Guess what folks - we did!We did not exceed our 150 mileage allowance each day. We did not do any damage to the car. We returned it on time. We were charged $217, four days after returning the car.We did a close inspection before renting the car. We made sure damage was notated closely - there was a lot of it. Although I dont think the agent had any intention of using her marks for later reference, in hindsight. She didnt describe any of the damage, she only created little dots in many locations on the drawing, where the damage was.We are furious and we will be filing a complaint with Better Business Bureau. I am not sure how to get a business shut down, but this business is clearly fraudulent - and Ill do my best to help get it shuttered!By the way - they have an F review on the Better Business Bureau. I will also be contacting the search engine where we booked the car, and request that they remove this agency ASAP.
Picked us up within 15 minutes. Paperwork was fine. Car was a noisy Nisson that showed a trouble light that went away the 3rd time I filled tank. Check in good and ride to airport without waiting. Price was good for 15 days.
DO NOT RENT FROM THIS COMPANY OR YOU WILL GET SCREWED! First of all the information they sent me via Priceline didnt include any information pertaining to a number to call to be picked up. Then the corporate company gave me a number for a non working cell phone. Then when I got my car the check tire pressure light was on and they glossed over that and forgot to write it on my sheet. So when I returned it I got stuck with a $50 fee to fix the flat when you could take it to any place and get it fixed for free. Oh and the cigarette lighter didnt work so I couldnt use my GPS. I was told that I could try to bring it back but no guarantee of a replacement car. Complete disaster of a company and horrible customer service. Pay the extra $3 for a reputable company.
Rent car from this company all the time, they pick me up and drop me off at airport, this location is really close airport, 3 mins away. i think most complain these people got is that the local people only have 150 miles, buduget only gives you 100 miles!!! the day i was at hotel i saw a guy crash the car but doesnt want to admit it..... they are the only cash rental company around the area though. their server are good, please be fair to the nice people who help us..... thank you for you guys again...
Full of undisclosed fees until you go to pick up the car. Debit card fee of 8.50 a day. If not renting at least 3 days, then an extra fee applies. California resident? theres an additional deposit for that. Under 25? theres an additional deposit for that. Close to airport? theres a fee for that. want to cancel the reservation because you dont want the fees? theres a fee for that!Dumb way to do business: hide the fees - its called bait and switch. Its illegal and these folks should be fined.
RATE - 000!!! NEVER BEEN SO TRICKED BY RENTAL COMPANY, from 9:30 PM till 2:30AM, we never get picked up by Allied shuttle, standing on a street in middle of nowhere...in LA...and useless to say than they never told us than their office is closed at midnight. Last time we spoke with representative in 11:41pm...who promised we will be picked up in couple minutes....NEVER HAPPENED - NEVER GET A CALL BACK, AND I GET CHARGED RENT!!!
BEWARE!! This place is a huge scam. They will tell you that you went on a toll and got a ticket. Its NOT true. Do not rent a car from this bogus scam company. When I called she was very vague and would not give me any information about the so-called ticket. HORRIBLE!!! All bad reviews!!
RIP-OFF ALERT: They (Allied, aka Economy) would charge you $50 for every toll road use. They would never forward a bill to you so that you could pay it on time, instead you would get a surprise credit card charge around one month later. If you happened to use a toll road 10 times and did not call the toll road company yourself within 3 days, you will get a $500+ bill from them.I spoke to one of their customer support managers and basically after a 20-minutes conversation I was told I have to pay the amount (almost $200 in my case) and theyre not going to do anything about that since it was mentioned in the contract that I should have read carefully. After a discussion about poor attitude she literally said Im OK with you not using the company and writing a bad review. So here is it - BAD review. Im also going to complain to Expedia. So, my recommendation to you - do not use their service, they will find a way to rip you off.
Very noisy broken car feels very unsafe and on able to contact anyone! Tried to call and extend I’m being hung up on laughed at and rudely handled by poor customer service agents! Juan Has poor etiquette and lacks mannerisms to be in customer service!
This whole thing is a real criminal scam. First, they try to get you with a secret rent a car deal on Kayak. They can not tell you the name of the rental company in Irvine, but the car Toyota Corolla is for 18.00 plus tax and fees per day UNLIMITED MILES. You have to agree to buy it before you get the name of the company. You have to give them your credit card number. I did. I was told afterwards that the name of the Rental is Allied rent a car located at 18800 MacArthur Blvd in Irvine. We drive there and we find out its a Hilton Hotel. We park and go inside. No where is there any sign, anything to warn you about California drivers are restricted to 150 miles a day. I told the 2 agents I was going to Las Vegas for a well deserve get-a-way with my wife. They never mention to me about the restriction on miles, never. I swear on the life of my children. The one guy, became chummy, and asked me if he can get a hotel discount for his mom and dad. I told him sure. I told we were going to leave our car in the hotel parking lot, he even gave us a bunch of parking passes to get out with the rental and our own car. Never, once did he give us any clue we were going to be charged per mile. I purchased the car due to the low bid. But, other rental companies in the area we normally rent at were only 2 dollars a day more. He gets some keys and tells me, oh by the way, we dont even have any corollas, we only have Nissan Verse. The Nissan Verse was badly damaged. He said it was not a problem driving it. I told him because we are going to be going thru the mountains and I want to make sure it makes it. He then ask for my company email address. I give it to him. We return the car back the next day, a few hour early. I bring back the paperwork. A young black girl walks with me to inspect the car. After the inspection, I asked her was everything ok? she said yes. I leave. I check my credit card statement on 4/28/17 and notice an additional charge of 155.82 on my credit card. I tried to contact them, and they were so rude and scam-mish, they were like, you should have read the back of the long contract. It has in it, a provision, that restricts the unlimited to only non-Californians. I never received a detail bill addressing these additional charges, My credit card company has no invoice to look at the charges. I would never think a Hilton Hotel would allow a scam like this to take place. They are preying on hard working Californians, who want to drive up or down the coast, or to Arizona or Vegas. They should have language and signs that warn of impeding addition charges. Why would you not? unless you are being criminally deceptive?
Very bad client service on the 21th of September 2018. The cars are not up to the quality of Economy, very dissapointed.
WORST RENT A CAR PLACE IN THE WORLD. A SCAM FOR SURE. THEY ONLY GIVE YO BACK A REALLY SMALL AMOUNT OF THE DEPOSIT AND IF YOU EXTEND YOUR RENTAL THEY CHARGE 4X THE INICIAL VALUE. DO NOT COME HERE!!!!!!!!
I rented a car with them and Ive had nothing but a bad experience with you guys since the beginning, it all started when I arrived to pick up the vehicle (as I had done the reservation prior to flying in from Colorado) at your location 18800 MacArthur Blvd, Irvine, CA 92612, I had asked for a booster seat for my kid, and they told me that they didnt have one so that I was going to have to go buy one myself, which I wasnt going to do, so they ended up going to buy one and had me and my family wait for about 45 min, took the car and went straight to my hotel, Tuesday as we were heading to the beach the car shut off on me on the highway, I called the corporate office and told them and they said they were going to send somebody that it would take them no more then 20 min, so here we were 1 hour and 10 min later when somebody finally showed up, so tried to talk to the Corporate office manager but they kept transferring me to somebody else and ended up hanging up on me, I wouldnt recommend them nor would use them ever again
Terrible service, Ive spent the last 2 months asking for an itemized statement of repair so I can send to my insurance company. They charged me a $1,000 for a $100 repair, and are now taking two months to send the information needed.
Don’t rent from this company they full of scam
This place is a SCAM! Do yourself a favor and DO NOT rent anything from these people! Youll receive a toll violation weeks after the rental. When you call in to find out how to resolve the issue or speak to someone about it, you will get a total run-around! Save yourself the headache and go to Enterprise, etc.
Dirty car, lots of dings and scratches, loud tire issue, 90k+ miles
Yes I agree with the girl about the toll charges they didnt send me a bill and I had to pay $50 for a four dollar toll what a rip off
