The move from Chicago to Indianapolis started out great. Bracken was very responsive to every question we had and Faith kept us informed on all steps of the move.Packing day went very smooth. Larry was the driver and he had two helpers. They were very efficient and pleasant and we all got along great. The problem started moving day when one of the helpers didnt show up. The plan was to be on the road by 1pm but because they were short a man they didnt leave till 4:30. By the time we cleaned up it was 7:30 so we didnt arrive in Indianapolis till after midnightBy the time we got to the house we were tired and run down and fell behind in the unpacking and became very frustrated. Kim came out later that day and saw the position we were in and said she was sending two men the next morning to unpack at no additional cost to us. This helped but of the ten moves we have made this was the most difficult. Nothing was missing or damaged.I would recommend Morse Moving as they were great in the beginning and responded quickly to the problem when they became aware of it.
My move was flawless and on schedule. The driver Raymond was the best I have ever had in the last six moves. He was calm, on top of things and helpful to pack it so there were no issues. He was also great to up set up a couple of things that were heavy. I give this moving couple a ten for their help!!!
The move started off good, then I think these guys got tired, lazy, careless. They moved our dresser just fine from the old place with it covered being handled by both of the two guys. Once at the new place I only seen one of them handling the dresser on a dolly at a rapid pace without it being covered. BOOM! the dresser was damaged in several areas and damage to multiple drawers. The company only sent a measly $90 check to compensate us. This caused me to highly NOT recommend them to anyone for moving, pursue other avenues. The only reason they got 1-star is because it is the only way the review could be submitted.
Brad and his team were great. All very professional and hard working. We had some very heavy items snd they handled it great. Highly recommended
Move scheduled several weeks in advance. 2 hours before move I was asked to reschedule for 4 days later because of mechanical issues. Problem is I had to be out the next day. They called me the same evening as my original move date to say they felt bad and would be at my house the next morning at 8. They again failed to show. I called and was told it would be better if I moved myself and they sent me a text with the numbers for guys who would help. I called the number, because what else was I supposed to do on short notice, and got no answer. Worst moving experience ever! I would not hire this company!!!!!!!Managers response on this site about a COVID test is the first I have heard of this. Told they were booked solid because of the July 4th holiday, nothing about COVID at all. I was told a truck broke down. I wouldn’t believe anything they say as it appears they are trying to do a CYA so they don’t look as bad as they really are.
I am happy with my experience with Morse Moving, especially because this was my first time using a moving company and because it was a long distance move. Price was similar to other companies, but there were factors that set them apart from competitors. For example, they were more accommodating with scheduling, offered free used moving boxes, were very responsive, were extremely punctual, and were kind, patient individuals all across the board. I had a few items with slight damage upon delivery, but I attribute it to the cross-country move in the semi. They were very careful with my stuff. I would recommend and would also use again if needed.
The packer and loaders, Brad, Colby, and Abby were prompt, friendly, and efficient. They worked steadily and were careful with my items. They finished in good time and were thoughtful like leaving vacuum to load last so I could vacuum after they moved furniture. Great team.
Stop looking and use these people! Everyone was great: From Bracken, who first responded to my online inquiry and got me scheduled for a quote; to Rich, who came out to give me an honest estimate; to Faith, who coordinated and followed up from the office; to Dave and Logan, who did the heavy lifting, I couldnt be happier!
Morse Moving did a great job on our move. The crew was very friendly and professional. The whole experience from start to finish was top notch.
Doug, Darrin and Tellis were absolutely terrific! Outstanding customer service and all three went above and beyond to help me!
Guys were polite, efficient and careful as can be with picking up and loading my items. This was on the beginning part of the job. They were a local pickup arranged to take to an Allied facility to be picked up and delivered to me. What took place after them I cant speak on.
They moved us after living in our house for 25 years. After the move, I had several necklaces missing/stolen, a damaged gutter, a damaged gun safe, and several dishes broken. While they agreed to pay for the gutter, the repairs have been completed and the bill has still not been paid by Morse/Allied. The gun safe was only reimbursed at half the cost to repair due to limited liability. Broken dishes were not replaced since it was our fault for not checking all the boxes (over 50) to ensure nothing was broken after a 9 hour move. The necklaces were somehow lost during the move - they were at old house but never made it to our new house. They were very sentimental to me and Morse/Allied didnt seem to interested in trying to make amends.I would NOT recommend them for any move. I have contacted their claims manager, sales rep that gave us the original estimate, and a customer rep to share my displeasure with the move. No one will return my call or email.Dave Morse - which employee was terminated and why? One of the actual movers or the claims manager? If one of the movers were fired for stealing my necklaces, it would be nice to have them back. They all hold sentimental and monetary value as they were all gifts from family members. Most importantly was a necklace that held the cremains of my aunt who I was very close to and just passed last May.
I am impressed with the conduct and performance of your crew in moving. Hope to engage your good selves next time and will recommend to others. Thanks.
They moved me last week and everything went very smoothly. Kyle Meagher got me started with a quote and Sarah Adams kept informed throughout the process. The guys arrived on time on moving day, and they took great care to move my things safely. I highly recommend Morse Moving.
This entire company needs to think about who pays their bills. As I read many of the other reviews, I had all of the same nightmare problems. The local Indianapolis office up to the corporate office has zero customer service skills. As I was trying to get to the bottom of why my stuff was not being delivered they leave you with the impression you are bugging them. Not only are you bugging them but they respond with attitude. There is zero remorse or compassion when you ask why they are not living up to what they said they would do. The moving coordinator, Chelseas response to why they werent delivering on their word was, I never said that. We went with this company because they ASSURED us we would get our goods delivered half way across the country by a certain date (the start of the spread). Not only did they not make that date they delivered after the contractual spread giving to us. In turn, I believe we fell for the old bait and switch. Their mission statement should read, Once we have your money, we will deliver when it is convenient for us. If there were one moving company left in the US and it happened to be Morse and Allied, I would make 10 trips back and forth across country with a pick up truck before dealing with this living nightmare of a company. Stay as far away from them as possible.
Excellent service! Friendly, professional, efficient!
Morse Moving & and Storage was great to work with. The estimate I received after their home visit was actually slightly higher than the total bill. Ive had issues in the past with other moving companies where I was estimated way less than what I ended up having to pay, this was not the case with Morse Moving. The moving guys were fast, careful, courteous, and fun. They knew exactly what they were doing with every piece of furniture and didnt waste any time getting the job done. I would recommend Morse Moving and Storage to anyone looking for help with your next move.
Our family has moved many times for our jobs-- This was probably the most efficient and pleasant move weve ever had. Del was even able to get us moved out and in-- all in one day, which we hadnt expected. They were courteous, careful with our belongings, hardworking, and pleasant to be around! Thanks for a GREAT move!
We had a very good experience with our 2 moves. First into storage then to our new home. The team was professional, communicated well and took care with our home as well as possessions.
I just wanted to thank you for the service that your team has provided me. I contacted Shannon Burnett regarding a job that is outside the normal operations at Morse Moving and Storage. She along with her team mate Scott Byrd took the challenge head on and made everything come together seamlessly. I really appreciate them going above and beyond to make me look good for my customer. They are both a great asset to your team at Morse Moving and Storage. I hope to have an opportunity to work with them again in the future.
Excellent move. On time. No damage - no blemishes. Presuming there is no extra charge the price was fair for the amount of material we had. Every representative from estimator through crew to coordinator were truly professional but the movingcrew, Adam and Tom, were superior in every aspect of the move. Weve made a lot of moves in our lifetime but this one was by far the best we ever had. We would have no hesitation to use Morse Moving gain.
Great, affordable moving company and friendly staff. They were fast and careful with our items. Unfortunately, after unpacking we did have a missing watch that was there the day before we moved.
Run the other way!!!!! These guys are horrible. Received part of my stuff 3 weeks ago while most of the important things like my clothes, washer/dryer my wife’s office sits in Indianapolis in a warehouse because the sales rep can estimate a load...
They did a great job moving me from Virginia up to Wisconsin. They packed us up and loaded everything in a day, got our stuff there in about a week, and got everything unloaded (and the crib put back together) in one day. They took great care of everything, especially our breakables. The driver was very friendly and pleasant to work with. Id definitely recommend them. Just as a disclaimer, the company I was joining paid for the move, so I have no idea how their prices compare to other companies out there. Their service was great, though.
The move was excellent. The crew and driver were exceptional. Careful with packing, worked quickly and efficiently even though we had some difficult to move items. Nothing was broken or damaged. Give them and A+
Move was not without its issues but Morse (Allied) and the service rep provided good communication throughout the process. We DID pack out own items so there was no breakage. Morse packed up 4 flat screen TVs and they all made it with no damage.Movers and drivers on both ends were professional and respectful.I would use them again.
They kept me informed throughout process. There was a hiccup on moving day but as I said, was kept informed and a solution was presented to my satisfaction. Professional. I recommend. Sara Adams was coordinator and always kept in touch.
Morse Movers were excellent. Top notch service with a smile to boot. Took great care of my stuff and were very polite. I felt well cared for and even a few months after the move when I couldnt find my mattress pad, they reimbursed me for it.Way to go.
This is our second move with Morse Moving & Storage, and just like the first, we were extremely pleased. We found the pricing to be very reasonable and the packers/drivers were amazing. Hopefully a big move is not in our future any time soon, but if so, we wouldnt waste our time calling anyone but Morse. Thanks again for a great job!Brad & Debbie Peddycord
They professional, friendly and extremely helpful, even to the point of give us in formation about the surrounding area being new to Indianapolis. It was not just a drop of and go. It felt more as if friends where helping you move in. which is a good feeling to have when some one you dont know is essentially taking care of what you work for.
The employee were on time They evaluated the situation and went right to work They were friendly and very good qt what the did The spoke highly of there company and how much they loved there job They said they got satisfaction and helping people out in there time of need The I explain to the owner over the phone to another company backed out on me and that I had to be out by 5:00 pm He worked his schedule around me when he could have said there was a way they could do it Thanks again from helping me out and making a stressful situation a re good experience God Bless
The one down side was the huge amounts of packing paper. Its been over a year, and were still getting rid of it. I have joked that the packers must own stock in a paper mill. The moving crew were very polite and professional. Not to mention strong. There were a few pieces damaged, but Morse replaced them with no hassles. All in all, a good move.
We finally settled into our FL home without any hiccups thanks to Morris Moving & Storage agent for Allied Van Lines. The Sales Manager, Michael Knowles, coordinators, our driver Bill Scott and both his IN and FL crews were unbelievable awesome. All of them were so professional and caring. We were treated like family. We truly hated to give our final goodbyes to Bill and his crews. We had so much fun that hugs were a must. When Michael originally said dont worry about your move well handle all of the worries for you he was absolutely right on. From the estimated cost which was actually less, pick-up and delivery being on target, and having no lost or damaged articles, it certainly made our move a breeze. We were completely satisfied with everyone involved in our move. I would recommend Morris Moving & Storage agent for Allied Van Lines to anyone. They are truly a 5 star operation and deserve recondition of their superb work ethics.A BIG heartfelt Thank You to all.Wayne and Charlet
Professional movers who took all requests in stride. Great experience!
Excellent experience. The Morse drivers were responsive, on-time, kind and very efficient. The after-service was equally wonderful with fast responses and customer service. I am very pleased!
At Morse Moving & Storage, the service was exceptional. There employees were very professional and prompt. We were very satisfied and pleased. We will use their services again and highly recommend them to other people looking for moving and storage companies
Had a local move a couple of weeks ago and honestly everything went well, until we realized we were missing a box of about 30-40 DVDs. We looked and looked everywhere and the last time we saw that box it was placed on the moving van. Havent had a resolution to this issue yet but it has definitely ruined the experience of the move. It wasnt so much what was in the box, it was the point that there were missing items, which is completely unacceptable in my book. Customer service has been good, but again, having a missing items from a local move (15 min apart) is very concerning to me.
We contracted with Morse Moving & Storage (Allied Van Lines) to move our home belongings from Benton, AR to Parker, CO. They were not the cheapest moving quote and not the highest.Morse made the decision to use the weights provided by United Van Lines quotation and Mayflowers quotation instead of coming out to the house and taking inventory themselves. Unfortunately both quotations were underweight. The truck arrived two days early and asked if they could load the storage units. We agreed. They then came to our home and found they could not load the entire house. They made contact with Morse and arrangements were made to pick up the remainder the second day (approximately 20% of our home belongings). We are almost thirty days past the day of pick-up and we still dont have the second load. Unfortunately we did not know two loads were going to happen so could not plan accordingly (i.e. make sure all essentials are in the first load). Therefore we have partials of almost everything. Example: Ironing board but no iron; computer but no keyboard or mouse; shirts but no pants; mattresses but no bedding; some pots and pans but no dishes; etc.). In addition, medicines, medical supplies and our household financial records are in this second truck. When I called Joseph Browser, in effect I was told they could keep our belongings as long as they wanted. They would get here when they get here.I am astonished at this companys handling of this move.I am doing everything I can to be a squeaky wheel but there has been no movement. I have been given multiple delivery dates with every one of them missed. Today was another delivery date promise broken. We have used Mayflower and United in the past and we have NEVER had this experience. I would NEVER use Morse or Allied again and would recommend everyone steer clear.
Morse Moving Company in Indianapolis has done an exceptional job for us. They were able to pack and load our home on short notice. Michael Knowles was great in meeting our changing timeline. The packer team Gary Borge, Scott, Adam, and J. P. were courteous and treat our belongings as if they were their own. We appreciate their long, hard work and professionalism. We would love this same team to deliver our household goods to Georgia.Thank you!Reed and Joan Ellmer
I have not had a great experience with this company, although I didnt end up choosing them to move me. I was given an estimate of 1000 dollars more during my in-home estimate than what I was quoted using a phone inventory despite having far less than the minimum weight. Although I understand that mistakes happen, and it was clearly a mistake or mis-communication from Morse to Allied Vans, It really inconvenienced me and set back my timeline.I will say, on the other hand, that they were polite and professional throughout the issue, which as someone who works with irate public, I can appreciate. If it had fit into my budget I would still prefer to have moved with them.
Morse sent only 3 to unload. I carried a lot of things into the house myself. Quite a few boxes ended up in the wrong place (or wrong floor). Put the piano in the garage and didnt return to move it into the house for 3 days. Said someone would be in touch regarding damaged property, but weve have never heard from anyone. Worst of all, they left the van parked in the narrow residential street for more than 2 days after unloading, completely blocking our driveway and access. Based on this experience, well never use Allied Van Lines again.
Don’t use them. Had a terrible experience from packing. Late & not enough packers. 14 days late on delivery. Rushed unloading. Broken furniture. Crushed boxes.
It was a great experience! Very respectable drivers. Kind customer service staff. If i move again, I will use Allied Vans.
My move with Morse Moving and Storage (Allied Van Lines) was a big rip-off because their “Total guaranteed not to exceed price” turned out not to be guaranteed at all. Their estimator, Tyler Feree, seemed nice enough when he estimated the job and gave a low bid for our move from Indianapolis, IN to Eugene, OR. We did have other bids for this job and Mayflowers weight estimate was significantly higher than Tyler’s looking at exactly the same stuff. The bait and switch happened when they weighed the load and it was more than they expected. Tyler then called and in an infuriated tone and accused me of having more stuff than he estimated, though there was nothing that he didn’t see on his physical assessment. He essentially told me that the “Total guaranteed not to exceed price was just a fiction and that they would either leave part of my load behind or make the driver pay for it (asking the driver about that later, I found that this part was a bald-face lie). This may not have been a purposeful bait-and-switch, but this was his job as an estimator to get the weight right, not ours as customers. It would have seemed fairer if estimate overweight was charged the same rate as underweight that would have been refunded to us if the load was lighter than estimated - instead it was about 4-times the rate. They also left hundreds of dollars worth of garden tools behind, even though they were packed together and stickered for the move, and they were also noted on the final walk-through as needing to go. Morse asked me to bring the items to their warehouse myself so they could be added to my load and I did, but they still didn’t ship with the rest of the load. They did ultimately send some of the tools by UPS, but left out all the heavy or awkward tools (axes, sledgehammers, pole pruners, etc.).In the end, I was forced to pay more than $4,000 above the “Total guaranteed not to exceed price I had been given in writing. I would never work with these guys again and warn you not to either!
I have always used the Kentucky caravan method, (you know - 3 or 4 pickup trucks with multiple trips) to move my offices. I got referred to Jack at Morse Moving so I called him for a quote. He was there the very next day. They use a computerized program that built the estimate as we walked through the offices. Jack was extremely helpful with tips to help keep cost down, as well as offering some advice on things I had not considered. My estimate, based on the time to move my offices, was extremely fair. With all of the business things I have to worry about when moving, I am taking the actual move off my list. Thanks.
We were very happy with the service the Morse team gave us during our move all the way to Oklahoma. Not a single item was broken, and the move was quick and the delivery date was clearly communicated.
Bets move we have received. Both ends of trip were great. Would recommend them to anyone.
Complete disaster - fraudulent - we are going to have to sue them and we will. Stay away
Awful. Do not use them. Dont bother getting the extra insurance for $150 because that is worthless. When Jack came out to give us an estimate he told us the extra insurance would cover us so if anything was damaged they would send someone out to fix it. We had to file a claim since they damaged my sons bed and dresser. Tore the bottom of our king size mattress and dropped furniture down our stairs several times. We were sent a check for $100 after they charged us and extra $53 for moving time. It took them over 8 hours to move 20 pieces of furniture and about 15 boxes with 3 men. They came with the wrong tools to take apart bunk beds and left without us inspecting everything. Horrible
Service up front was ok... Then after delivery it all went wrong and I am very disappointed with the lack of customer service and response from the people working here. I would strongly recommend NOT USING MORSE FOR YOUR MOVE!We moved from Indy to Colorado and were told the mover would show up between the 7th and 12th. Well he decided to come early and showed up on the 4th so we had to cut our cross country trip a day short because when he arrived in CO we werent even there yet. He called and called asking us to get there so he can keep delivering and we told him what the contract said and we would get there when we can. Then, after agreeing to allow him to come on the 6th at 9:30AM, he shows up at 7:50 AM so I had to skip going into work for the morning. That was strike two. Unloading was ok, except when they unloaded one of our tall mirrors (completely shattered including multiple cracks in the frame) they didnt even bother to let us know, instead the put it in the back of our place and left it for us to find. I called Morse to try to get help filing a claim on this and still have not received any response to phone calls and emails... It is always I will have your customer service rep call you and they never do.Things get broken when you move, not disappointed about that, I get it. But the lack of customer service and the fact we still cannot get any response over the past 5 weeks is insane. I would consider picking another moving company for your move because Morse does not have it together and does not take care of their customers.
Extremely subpar, unprofessional and disorganized, especially Faith Toombs (moving coordinator). Move was to be start between 0830-0930 on a Friday morning, Faith called 9pm the night before and now indicated it was to occur between 1100-200. How is the time window increased from 1 hour to 3 hour, and LATE? Additionally Faith failed to notify us of the status of our truck, and lost one of my items in transit. Michael Knowles (salesman) was satisfactory, but was careless with important information such as correcting updated phone #s, and caused problems with communication with Montway vehicle transport. The actual laborers who were physically moving my items, and semi-truck driver moving my car were professional. It was the office staff that are completely subpar and unprofessional and would highly recommend against ever using Morse company again.
I work here any questions ask away
I would NEVER recommend Morse-Allied Movers!!! WE used them to move us and the packers and management were very unprofessional. We had A LOT of damage to our things and complained to management, Stacy, Tiffany and Tyler, who said theyd check into it and call us back and weve heard nothing. Mike the lead loader continuously talked about his tip and how much hed been tipped in the past. The way they handled our belongings was horrible... You dont move the furnishing of a $650K home and handle it the way this company did. VERY DISAPPOINTED and will NEVER use them again!!!
I have had an absolutely horrible experience with Morse Moving & Storage. I was given the standard 3 day load window (June 11-June 13) and 12 day delivery window (June 15-26). It is now June 26th, and I still have nothing. When I spoke with my move coordinator yesterday (June 25th), I was assured that my things would be delivered today, so of course I waited around in my apartment which has no furniture, TV, or anything besides an air mattress and a lawn chair all day. After continuously emailing and calling them without getting any answers, they finally called at 6:30 pm EDT and told me that I wouldnt be receiving my things until June 30th. Im doubtful that theyll actually be delivered June 30th, but even if they are, that will be 4 days after the last day they were supposed to arrive. In addition, I was told this evening that I wont be receiving any compensation for the late delivery since I only have 2,500 pounds. The only positive part of this whole experience was my interaction with the gentleman who came to give me the estimate. He answered quite a few questions for me and was extremely friendly and helpful. He was obviously a great sales man because he managed to sell me a horrible service.I will tell everyone I know who is moving to avoid Morse at all costs. They are unreliable and unprofessional.
Worst experience imaginable! The actual movers were professional, but the people in charge were horrible - to say the least! They were dishonest, my stuff arrived four days late which they didnt tell me about until the day it was supposed to be there, completely unprofessional when speaking, they were disorganized and uncommunicative.
I would highly recommend Morse/Allied movers. I moved from Indiana to Florida. From the Person who quoted, to the packers, to the loaders, to the drivers, to the movers, to the unloaders. Let me tell you...they were the best. Tim the driver was excellent. All of these people put me at ease. I was very nervious when I started, and everyone of them made me feel at ease. If I ever have to move again I will definately call them. They are definately the best. I did not have one complaint at all. The office called often to make sure I was satisfied and if I had any concerns or complaints. I had absolutely NO COMPLAINTS. Thank you Morse/Allied, you made my move uneventful and stress free.
This entire crew was a joke. Absolutely HORRIBLE. Not only did they far exceed their estimate (like double it), they damaged tons of furniture - for which they offered pennies on the dollar.Id hire 2 monkeys and a bicycle before these guys.
They will lie to you, mislead you, make you miss a lot of work. Over charge you and not take responsibility for damaging your items
I used this company to move my furniture and at the end of the move my couch was ripped in 5 diff places. I filed a claim with them value at $1000 and received a letter saying they will only pay $120. This couch was only a year old and I paid $1600. Contacted upholstering company and its $1000 just for them to come out and fix it. I cant buy a new couch with $120. I cant have anyone fix it with $120. Do not use this company!!!!!!!!!
They made moving quick, easy and painless.
The driver was a creep. The crew helped my friend move in in Avon and the driver creepily stared at me as I was leaving. He then cat-called me as he was driving out of the community. Very disrespectful. Have some class when representing a company.
I called to get Availability and the guy joe was short with me and jus hung up the phone
Nice people very good company
Great company and a great place to work
Great company to work with!!!
Suck ass place to work for.
Sloppy period
Didnt go
