Ocean checked us in and gave us instructions and absolutely made my daughters first visit to climb time AMAZING!!! As a proud parent it was incredible to watch my 4 1/2 year old climb to the very top over and over and over and.....The 2 1/2 year old had fun just watching and I cried a couple times because Im a sap...You get it Im proud and it made my day so I had to share. If youre looking for something fun to do with your kids I cant recommend this place high enough!!!Thanks again Ocean!!!
This place is really awesome for indoor rock climbing. They have a mix of different difficulties. Its definitely a work out and can challenge any level if climber. I set up a bachlor party for my friend at climb time and we had a really good time only 15 dollars for an all day pass!
Ocean is the man! He made sure my brother and I had everything we needed to have a blast. The climbing community is super friendly too. This is the universe telling you to get over to climb time. Cheers!
During my visit to Indy Climb Time, I met a employee named Cadien, his behavior was some of the most altruistic and kind behavior I have ever witnessed. He had the most trustful smile and the most sincere way of showing us how to be safe and also have a good time. He left us speechless as we left this establishment and it made us want to go back the next day. I really do believe this one of a kind employee deserves a raise as not only he has shown us incredible hospitality but also is very experienced in the field of rock climbing. I definitely recommend coming to this place as it provides excellent service!
I was skeptical at first. The holds were more retro and felt like difficult grades, but I quickly found that the routes are set very well. I have also come to appreciate the community and how much stronger I have gotten as a climber here despite only being free to go once or occasionally twice in a week. I will dearly miss this gym when I move away
Great welcoming place - I came in just for the weekend and they were very friendly and accommodating.
Helpful staff. The variety of walls provides a challenge for many skill levels.
This was my first time rock climbing, and Climb Time Indy was a fantastic place to start. They made the challenge of rock climbing seem easy and non-threatening. They give you a training lesson before you start, and they explain the different courses and challenges available. My nephew, who is 6, was able to jump right in and try almost every climb they have. And for myself, someone in half decent shape, the climbs were still a solid work out. I love it. They have a ton of different challenges available. We were there for almost three hours and could have kept going if we weren’t so tired! We will definitely be back.
Super fun place as a first time climber. Affordable, not overly crowded, and easy to get started. Will likely be back in the future.
Such a fun place to indoor rock climb. The staff is chill and helpful. I love the variety of courses and difficulties. The Slab of the Week has been incredibly fun! We became members very quickly because of how much fun we have every single time we go to Climb Time. Highly recommend for any brand new climbers - great place to start.
My family and I love this place! We come here pretty frequently and enjoy it. The walls are fun because they have all levels and self belays too! The boulder selection of the gym is also nice because it is so large. They also have a whole young kids section with all self belays. The staff and atmosphere is really nice . Although the price is a bit high it is so worth it. I cant wait to come back for the millionth time and would recommend this place to other climbers!
I love this place!!! Helpful staff, easy to understand climbing instructions, and everyone there is super kind 🥰
Love this place. So much fun and very clean.
They were great. We had all first timers and they walked us through everything. So much to offer.
Absolutely loved it it was a great experience I went the first time with my family and the second time with someone else both times were great amazing employee service and they explained everything so no need to worry
Climb Time Indy is a great place. Helpful staff, freedom to try a variety of climbs, and a relaxed atmosphere make it a perfect place to spend some time doing something unique for Indy. We are novices but felt welcomed and encouraged by the staff and other people that were much more experienced. Go check it out and what a great resource for a great sport city
Amazing place to get out and do something fun. This place is definitely worth your time and money.
Great spot! Fun routes, clean, and affordable to join
Stumbled into this place about a week ago looking to purchase some wears; mana potions and the here or there bag of charms. My curiosity was peaked as I walked in the door to be greeted by a smaller than average fellow. He said his name was Jake and that he had been working at the establishment for some time and was quick to ask what I was looking for. I proceeded to spout off 2 or three of the consumables, he quickly stopped me with a wave of his hand. Pressing his index finger to his lips, his eyes scanned the area for onlookers and bent down. With a pop of almost cartoonish fashion he emerged with a small bag of what seemed to be talcum and a matching pair of thieves shoes. I could only conjure a smirk let down of my brow what am I to do with powder and slippers? The short Jake man leaned in, the room seemed to fade to darkness the closer he came. Now everything but his lips and sweaty mustache shrouded in darkness he whispers ...climb. A chill came over me as I turned and proceeded to the mountain behind me.Ive been climbing for 4 years now...Im sure my family and friends miss me, but for now I must continue as the wise sage Jake spoke, I must continue to....climb.
Excellent indoor gym with a variety of routes! Incredibly helpful, knowledgeable staff made our out-of-town visit a delight!
Loved it. Clean. Informative staff.
Great place to learn climbing skills. Casual and fun. Very helpful staff. Give it a try.
Awesome place, great equipment, fantastic prices, better walls than other places, and even better employees.
Awesome place and people.
I was hesitant coming to Indy climb time because I have experience with high ropes courses and belay instruction. I was dreading sitting through long instruction because belaying is on your own. However, the process was very simple and easy. The rest of the night was a blast with a friend of mine. Also, a lot of times, I feel like for beginners there aren’t enough rocks or they’re poorly positioned, but this place has great sturdy holds. It also had a lot of room for growth. Great for adrenaline junkies and thrill seekers alike. That height and really having to trust your body, it’s great.
Great place 👌 to climb!!
Require you to wear a mask when you climb. Thats is absurd.
Really great place for a climbing experience in the Midwest. $40 monthly membership vs. $18 for single-time climbing, shoes, and harness. Definitely recommend. There are some experienced climbers that frequent this place. Help and tips are available. Great workout. Would recommend and will be back.
Super friendly staff and community
Understaffed and busy this Sunday! But fun.
A nice facility with friendly staff, however many of the routes are poorly marked with tape. It would be nice if they used all of the same colored holds on routes so you knew where to put your feet. Also, the routes are only marked in difficulty grade with ranges, for example 5.8-5.10. Personally I prefer there to be a more specific grade assigned to each route. Overall it just feels like they could try slightly harder to make it a much better experience and worth a monthly membership.
Super fun.
Amazing, just go
The gym is decent quality. They reroute the walls weekly from what I can tell and the staff is friendly. Its also relatively clean. My experience however had some issues I think one should be aware of before joining. Upon first joining the gym I decided to get a 1-year membership, but my life very quickly got busy and I realized I wasnt going to be able to utilize it as much as I wanted to. After 3 months I decided I would ask them to drop me to their 6-month package and refund me the difference. They refused. To their credit, they were willing to extend my membership for the duration that I was gone and busy based on their records. However, for a number of reasons, that solution couldnt work for me. The take away is, if you intend to get a membership, be sure you mean it. I thought my request was reasonable, only 3 months into a 12 month membership switch to 6 month package at original cost, a refund shouldnt be difficult. They get 6 months of membership and I get some of my money back. Any business is capable of doing this, they just chose not to for whatever reason. Im saddened by this personally, otherwise theyre a fine climbing gym. Just keep that in mind if you get a membership there, be sure youll want it as long as you get it.
Such a great time for men women and children
Hadnt been indoor climbing in years and had a great time here. Went with a Catholic young adult group. A wide variety of walls ranging in difficulty fromMade it! toYou win for today, cave of wonders. to...this isnt even a wall.from my amateurs perspective. For planning:We went at opening time 9a Saturday and it didnt get busy until about 2/3 through our time. We were all amateurs and were pretty well climbed out in an hour and a half. For amateur endurance:When I tried to climb the wall I climbed to the top of when first arriving again at the end of our time here, I could only get about half way up. Fatigue and sweat happened for me (again, amateurs perspective). Our group was odd in number but the couple of auto-belay setups (belaying machine that tends the safety rope for you, usually instead a person from your group needs to do this) made the odd number less awkward.Plus for the boulderers in your group (bouldering: low areas and/or with thick pads to fall on), no belay required but make sure nobody is near the pads under and around and behind you for safety in case your climb comes to a surprise ending. The bouldering walls look low from the ground but upon getting up near the top of one of them I found it surprisingly high, so I encourage you to be aware of what youre comfortable with. Might try climbing up a bouldering wall just a bit and jumping off the wall to ease into what that feels like, and if you feel safe go a little higher each time until you find your comfort level (but never go above the red line per the safety rules).Have fun and be safe! :D
We had a great time, and enjoyed the workout 😊 We as first time climbers (2 adults in our 20s) spent over an hour there because there’s lot to do. The gym manager was very helpful and friendly.
As many others have stated this is a great gym with wonderful staff. It was my first time back in about 5 years and I am glad that the charm of Climb Time Indy is still there. This is a real climbing gym with people and staff passionate about climbing. I always recommend this gym to anyone looking tp get into climbing and its safe to say I will continue to do so.
Smaller than expected, but it was super fun!
Super friendly staff willing to help you at the front desk and out on the climbing floor. Great climbing options for adults and small children. Strong family feel both in the patrons and staff. Climbing equipment for sale up front. Seems like a fair number of kids parties going on the several times I visited
Great place to climb staff is helpful and routs change regularly
Great place to climb with either clip-in spots or 3 auto-belay walls and lots of movement practicing surfaces and even more! The staffed very friendly and welcoming. Pricing is unbeatable, too. One downside - walls aren’t very high and aren’t perfect for lead climbing but overall this gym is worth every dollar!
Went for the first time with my wife and two girls (9 and 7). We had a great time! There is a quick and easy tutorial and then you’re climbing. There are plenty of “climbs”, so they can accommodate a lot of people without long waits, and they cater to all skill levels. We will definitely go again.
This is the place to go if you want to build a great trusting exercise with other people. The staff there is fun and great they really make you face your fears. It is a fun enviroment to be in and at. You also learn about other things as well. You should go there if you like to climb.
Challenging routes. Good people. Kid friendly.
First time climbing was awesome! Friendly staff and a good variety of walls to climb.
Super impressed. I’m an avid climber and frequent indoor gyms around the Midwest while traveling for work. The posted difficulty levels were on point, not buttered up. The time I brought the kiddos along they were very supportive and we had them up the wall in no time.
We started coming here over a year and a half ago knowing essentially nothing about climbing. Well, weve been going three nights a week ever since and have taken trips to climb in Vermont, Maine, and Kentucky. I love Climb time. It manages to offer a wide range of routes and difficulties and still feels very like home. Theres an awesome community and the staff are all super friendly.
My experience with Climb Time Indy has been second to none.Every time I go climbing I manage to find a new friend to talk to. All the staff is very informative, and knows their stuff when it come to climbing. They all are very social people and Ive seen them help new learners, and even more advanced climbers. Ive never had any complaints with anything there. No matter what age or level you are this gym is a good time, and always keeps me coming back.
Went today for the first time. Used their great Groupon special. Super friendly staff, lots of varied climbs for people of all ages and ability levels. Brought a teenage family member and he loved it! Did not feel unwelcome at all as a newbie - quite the opposite! We will definitely be back.
Dont listen to the haters! This place is the bomb. You can climb and climb and climb and climb and climb and climb. Reasonable prices everyones friendly and helpful. If youve been here before then you already know this, but if you have never been there before then you may just be learning it now. How come youre still reading this? You should be getting in your car and heading over to climb Time Indy where your adventure awaits
The staff is informative and helpful. They care about your safety and thankfully do not allow any monkey business. No pun intended. You may call ahead to see how busy it is if you dont want to be around crowds. They take care of the place well. Drinks are purchased from a vending machine and little lockers are available. Theres climbing with harness or without in designated areas. Good times for kids and friends.
The first day I walked into climb time I knew I wanted to take up climbing and since that day the entire staff has helped me develop more skills as well as mental strength. Theyve also taught me many techniques to keep me from getting injured along the way. All thats great, but the most important thing is the atmosphere. It seems as though the staff is always there to not only help you, but make a new friend in the process! All in all its the best service Ive had in a long time and its good to see such an open and inviting atmosphere!
Lots of fun
Fun climbing on Indys Northside. Now under new management so expect some new routes and new faces! :)
Great place
Awesome staff and a great place to climb. Great workout in a nice family atmosphere.
I fell in love with climbing here and while it is not my home gym any longer, I enjoy going back. This gym is best for bouldering and top roping as the walls are short, so there really isnt any lead climbing that goes on here.
Awesome place to learn to climb! Staff is super friendly and helpful. They have really great bouldering routes!
We went to climb time with our boy scout troop for an overnight lock-in. All of the scouts and the adult leaders that climbed had a great time.
Seriously my favorite place ever! Tried it one day with a friend and fell in love. I have a membership now and go multiple times a week. Its my number 1 hobby and a great workout. The staff is awesome and so knowledgable about the sport. They are also a lot of fun to watch, all great climbers that you can learn a lot from.
Ignore what everybody else has said. The staff were very helpful to me, (I am a teenage male) and the place is cheap and lots of fun! Word of caution, you will be exhausted after two hours so dont expect to stay longer than that
Always have fun here with the family, great for children and adults. Good instructors too if it’s your first time.
Now, I by no means want to bash this gym for the sake of bashing it, but I cant understand why it has so many good reviews. The place is super small, very short walls, the gear is shabby and I was honestly nervous about using it at first. The routes are ok but the tape indicating the routes and their difficulty is horribly maintained and hard to understand, no one explained the classification scale to me. You had screws in unseen parts of some holds, just waiting to rip up someones fingers, rope hooks jiggling loosely in their holes in the walls. Overall the place is pretty dingy. Its a place to climb, fair prices, and the people seemed friendly but overall I didnt care for it. I prefer and recommend Hoosier heights. Maybe a bit pricier but the place is cleaner, bigger, taller, and has a lot more to do and also uses the 5.# and v# classification systems.
Excellent climbing gym. There is a laid back atmosphere, frequent changes to the walls, and the staff have been very helpful when asked. The membership cost is low, and there are quite a few regular customers.
Staff are nice, but arent even in the building most of the time. Shoes and ropes seem old. There are a lot of different paths to climb and a lot of different difficulty levels to choose from. Much cheaper than other climbing places in town.
I love this place!! I come here all the time, the people are always nice and ready to help you learn how to climb. They are the best!!
Dirty place, super used equipment, and the holds are withering away. One gal was helpful, but her shift was over as we were entering. The one guy left was wearing boat shoes, total douchebag that was on the phone or outside smoking the whole time. My friend wrote to Mr. Allen, the owner, and his reply was less than helpful. Ill try Hoosier Heights next time, never been there either...but definitely not going back here
This place is a lot of fun for everyone. The pricing is more than fair, and there is plenty to do. We have enjoyed multiple visits.
Great and clean location! They often change routes, which is great. Friendly staff.
Great place for a climb party or place to go with a friend if you love climbing.
Great place with good prices. Easy going atmosphere and a large amount of different styles and difficulties for all climbers.
Great climbing facility and friendly helpful staff. If you are looking for a great climbing experience for beginners or advanced this is the place to go.
I take my 3yo there for the Kids Climb on Wednesday. I know she three and we just do bouldering, so I try to make sure we dont interfere with other climbers. But it hasnt been an issue at all. In fact the staff was incredibly friendly and encouraging to her. All the people there as well were really supported. I was worried about being in the way but it wasnt the case at all, everyone was super nice. Plan to go back a lot with my child because she loves the place now. If you can get there in the mid day/afternoon on a week it is prime time because there is a lot of available room.
Big area, great friendly staff, AMAZING MEMBERSHIP PRICES. Walls are updated regularly, always a new path to take on!
Man do I suck at climbing, but I always have fun here with my friends.
Really cool place, sons boy scout troop went there, guys were really helpful to the boys at any skill level and worked with boys to get climbing merit badge. As far as climbing had a wide range of climbing walls for all skill levels, tricky overhangs, plenty of routes to choose from
Dirty and too many screaming kids. This is fine for kiddies but not for serious climbers who want clean holds well laid out problems and a mature environment. Other places in indy are better.
Lots of good bouldering, very newcomer-friendly, remolding is going nicely. Quite a few unmarked climbs and roped climbs aren’t very high :(
My favorite place to climb. Staff is friendly and helpful. GREAT community.
The grand kids really enjoyed themselves and after they were tired of climbing they played some ping pong while waiting for their brother to finally tire.
My family and I always have a great time here. The staff is great.
I have always had a great experience at Climb Time. The owners are helpful and Ive not experienced climber snobbery here. Even if it is your first time on the wall they will be happy to give you pointers and if you need more help you can schedule one on one sessions.
Whether bouldering on the ceiling piques your fancy or maybe youre wanting to learn what climbing is all about, Climb Time offers a welcoming environment to hone your skills and strengthen those fingers.
Climb time is a great time for people of all ages, they have routes for all skill levels and climbing ability. The staff was friendly and approachable for any questions
Its a great place that can provide hours of fun! Great place to take a date!
Must go if you love rock climbing! Great staff and the people who climb here are generally great people!!
Hardest routes, hottest staff... come climb
