Excellent service. They know what theyre talking about. Compared to the low-income garages and do-it-yourselfers that Ive dealt with growing up, it is somewhat pricey. However oh, it is worth it. They managed to preserve and extend the life of a vehicle which had no business lasting as long as it did and theyve already worked on my new vehicle and will make sure that it lasts for a long time as well.

Ricks Service Center diagnosed a series engine issue I had with my Hyundai Sonata. Marc the manager at Ricks was phenomenal in working with me once they discovered the engine issue. Marc worked with the warranty company to secure a replacement motor per the manufacturer warranty on the car. Marc and his team ordered, installed and tested the new motor and delivered it in a timely manner. Ricks is a great source for all types of auto repair. Theyre fair and they never push for unnecessary repairs. Ricks will continue to get all of my business and I highly recommend anyone looking for a auto service center to consider using Ricks.

I have used Ricks twice. The first time, about a year ago, I had an issue a previous mechanic had fixed 4 TIMES! I was beyond frustrated and losing hope. I came here under recommendation of another (during peak COVID) and within a week the problem was finally and TRULY fixed; at a reasonable cost. I could not have been more pleased with the kindness, professionalism, and work done. Because a week, to fix the damage done by the prvs mechanic, was lighting fast!However, due to the previous issue...my car has additional issues. I dropped my car off Monday (5/23) and received a call EOD, Next day. The news is bad, very bad. But not to the fault of Ricks....their previous work has held true.So, after I got my assessment from Ricks, I asked my hubby to read over it... (my hubby is a commercial vehicle mechanic) and he confirmed everything Ricks told me was wrong....& confirmed the quoted price. Mark was not only understanding that I couldnt afford that HUGE price tag, but was patient with my irritation- concerning the prvs mechanics follies.In short- even if I dont get this vehicle fixed, I will NOT take future vehicles anywhere else but here. Theyve earned my business, but more importantly, theyve earned my TRUST!I HIGHLY recommend.

Took my car there because another shop, that will remain nameless, told me I needed a new engine. I just really needed a second opinion. Marc told me to come in & hed provide second opinion. By the way, Marc is absolutely gorgeous, but thats not the point. The point is that they looked at my car and told me that it only needed some sort of solenoid, an oil system clean, and an oil change. And, thats what they did. It fixed my problem!!!! I wouldve paid the other shop thousands of dollars to put an engine in and Ricks fixed it for a few hundred. This shop is now my go to shop for everything. And, the best part is Ill get to see that gorgeous man every time I go there. Ricks is wonderful!!!!

Needed serious work done to my car. Called. Man who answered was so professional & so nice. Got me in right away. Called to tell me what was wrong & the price to fix it. Not only that he explained exactly how it happened. Got work done right away & had me back on the road next day. Came to pick up car & was blown away by the owner or manager or whoever he was. Seriously, dude was hot! But that has nothing to do with the great level of service he provide me. Just thought I should let him know it!

Came in from Chicago. Had transmission go out. Was one mile down the road from this shop. Needed truck back by end of week to get home. Marc made this happen. Told me no guarantee, but would do his best. This could have been an opportunity to gouge me. Because I had no other option. And Marc knew it too. He gave me price for new Jasper Transmission. I called around to get price for rebuild, used, etc. Ricks was cheaper AND I was getting a new Transmission. God blessed me with breaking down close to this shop. Marc is as honest as it comes. Just needed a brake job done. Their quote was way way way better than dealer. So, I took my Honda Accord to them. Marc even called me to let me know that the rear brakes really had a little life left and I could get some time out of them. I chose to just get them all done. But man, what honesty!!!!! He told me he didnt just want my business for today. He wants it for life. That is honesty at its finest! Well Marc, I think you got it Buddy!

They do not install customer supplied performance parts. However, they will install those same parts if purchased from them (aka price markup). No warranty was asked for or implied by me.

I made an appointment a week ago to get my car transmission flushed. I brought it first thing in the morning before the owner was even there. They had my car for 5 hours and didnt do nothing. Told me it would be in first thing in the morning 5 hours later nothing done tell me whos going to wait for his guys to get back from lunch yet when I pulled up they were already off lunch and working on other cars. You told me if I brought it in first thing in the morning that it would be done for my appointment at 1. You had my car for 5 hours and did nothing but give me excuses why it wasnt done even tho it only takes two hours to do as you say. As far as my ac you give me a price I paid it then when it was all over with you charged me 30 dollars for a bolt. You werent that much cheaper.

We have been customers for over 5 years. I have tried many shops in Indy, including several dealerships. None compare. Rick and Mark do quality work. They are honest and upfront. We never had a problem with any repairs or regular maintenance items. They are friendly and provide the best customer service.

I inquired about a tire sensor replacement for my scion xd 2010. Ricks place wanted to charge me $176.21 ($86 for the tire sensor). Highway robbery. My recommendation: shop around.

I have had my oil changes done there since I bought my car. It’s always done in a timely manner. When the time comes that I do need actual work or parts replaced, I will bring my car here. Prices are very reasonable! Jonathon is a great mechanic!

Called Mark yesterday, my car wouldnt start (figured battery/alternator) - he let me know they could get me in asap, and even get me towed over there. Got a speedy return call that the diagnostic came back, it was a bad battery. They swapped it out, cleaned up the other mess from the battery and got me up and running in no time.This shop is amazing! They are honest, upfront with pricing, and do great work! Ricks is getting my business moving forward.

Reasonable great prices and they always get my car running the way it’s supposed to. Very pleased with my service!(Just to let people know because I’m reading reviews) Mechanics HAVE to diagnose EVERY problem when diagnosing problems... they can’t just fix the problem you came for. That’s why you are paying so much, some people let their cars go until there is a problem everywhere. They’re just doing their job cut them some slack!

I called them today about my rear main on my 5.3L Silverado. They told me they could fix it and about how much it would cost. Then they told me that they didn’t recommend me doing the repair because it would happen again in a very short period of time due to the way the 5.3L engine works. They recommended me not wasting the money. Very honest. They could have easily taken my $2k for the job and got return business when it went bad again but instead they chose to do the right thing and look out for me, the customer.

Rick and Marcus do a great job of taking care of my vehicles. Ive always gotten great service at a very fair price. They really do seem to care about taking care of their customers. I would highly recommend them for any automotive needs.

Wonderful Service, very knowledgeable, trust worthy & very reasonable price. My 9 year old car was making noise on high speed and RPM was very high. Before taking the care to Ricks Service Center, took the car to the dealer for a complete check-up. Dealer said, everything is fine, and you have to live with this noise and it is not anything serious.To get a second opinion took the car to Ricks center. Mark found immediately that the noise is coming from the front wheel bearing and it needs to be replaced. He also recommended to add some oil. With both, my car now drives very smooth without any issues. Thanks Mark! You got my business for lifetime!Highly recommend Ricks Service Center.

Ricks Service Center is an amazing place to get your car worked on! They are people you can trust and they are willing to go the second mile to help people. Plus, they are super at explaining problems and I should know we had a huge issue with our van and they were honest and fair! We cant thank Ricks enough for providing safety for our family through giving outstanding service to our vehicle.

My truck wouldnt start. After some basic diagnostics I determined it was something I wouldnt have the time to fix myself. So I contacted Ricks after reading the other reviews. I needed a tow to get my truck to the shop, so a tow was provided through Lawrence towing for $85. I had an electrical diagnostic, a starter and the labor for starter replacement. Total for everything including the tow was $420. They got it done quickly and I was very happy that they provided an estimate for my 100k tune up and servicing without me asking for it. Ill definitely bring my vehicles here in the future. Staff is professional and knowledgeable.

Ricks has been servicing our cars for over 10 years. Would not go anywhere else. The claims of yelling, gouging and racism are outrageous. These guys are professional and courteous, and I trust them completely.

They do great work. I was from out of town and had a water pump go out on my van and they got it done very quickly. I cant say enough for the whole staff very professional all around.

Ive had this thunk in my steering wheel when I turn it. Another shop close by said it was strut noise. Quoted me $1400 to fix it. Took it to Ricks for second opinion. Turns out it wasnt strut at all. It was an intermediate steering shaft. Had it fixed and my truck back on the road the next day. AND IT ONLY COST ME $375!!!!!! They told me the struts will need to be done in near future but not today. It took care of the noise. I was about to spend $1400 on the wrong repair. Boy am I glad I found Ricks!!!!!!! Not only that they told me the strut job on my F-150 would be about $750. NOT $1400!!!! Again boy am I glad I found Ricks!

Great folks over there who are more than fair with their customers. Its the only place I go for repairs.

Great service. Got a hold of these guys, explained what happened and they immediately said Sounds like the serpentine belt. Popped the hood and sure enough it was off.A real shop with car guys who know the problem, just give them sounds and an explanation. Got it in there and they had it fixed in a day. Highly recommend!

Great group of friendly honest people. I was in a pinch with a cracked rim. They took care of it quickly and had the wheel repaired and back on the car the next business day!

My vehicle had an issue with a cylinder not firing and so I brought it in here and got it fixed. Good, friendly service and at a reasonable price. Mark handled everything professionally.

So, I was having problems with my oil pressure light and I knew I was due for brake updates so I looked on Google to find a place near where I work and Ricks had the best reviews, so I figured Id give it a shot. I also knew that NAPA is usually pretty good quality parts. Well, I would like to say that they certainly live up to their reviews. Mark (Marc?) has been so amazing with helping me. They did a great job on my brakes and have been working with me on the other problem which is most likely still covered under my factory warranty, which leads me to the big thing that has impressed me the most. Hes been completely honest with me about it. He could have told me it wasnt covered and take advantage, but he didnt. I admit, I am one of those people who knows next to nothing about cars, and its been refreshing to work with someone who doesnt take advantage of that and is honest about what they do. I recommend them highly without any reservation.

Was not impressed - my car was left car was was left unlocked ! I specifically asked you to lock it, it was left parked upfront unlocked (I assume) your shady guys were too slow to get to it. I left my golf clubs in the trunk and I came back to my vehicle after hours not locked! Not cool ! This is why I wrote the review! I will post the invoice as proof I WAS a customer!Just accept your 1 star and be professional about it!!!

Great service, no padded prices

TLDR: I believe they screwed me for almost 400 dollars and tried to get 800 more right in the middle of tax season. Was able to get my car fixed elsewhere for less than 300 and its been running great for a couple months.About 2 months ago I went to this place because it was nearby and my car was leaking coolant quickly. They were able to take my car quickly and got back to me with the problem. It was almost a 400 dollar fix, and I told them to go ahead and do it. They seemed trustworthy enough, my usual mechanic isnt answering the phone and I need my car asap. Well after they fixed the problem, within 48 hours my car has run out of coolant again. So I called them back and asked them to take another look. They told me more problems arose after the first fix. It was going to cost me about 800 dollars this time. I was appalled by this, and decided to call my mechanic one more time and he answered. He was able to see me soon. So I went to Ricks and asked them to explain the new problem, and they did and said it would need a new water pump and something else. I told them thanks for the information, and I was going to get a second opinion. When I said this, the man got very defensive and insulted my mechanics ability to do work while having no idea whether what he was referencing was my mechanics or anothers work. When I took it to my mechanic and showed him the receipt of the first repair, he believed he had already replaced the part they claimed to have replaced and that it was the same part. He also told me that the water pump was fine and the other part they wanted to replace wasnt the source of the problem. On top of that, he was able to fix the problem for less than 300 dollars. Like I said its been two months since this happened, I drive a lot, and my car is running great. I truly believe that they were trying to screw me out of tax return money and Im glad that I only lost 400 dollars to them. So sorry for posting this at the end of tax season, but hopefully this review will help people in the future.

I had an issue with my Jeep Cherokee electrical system and Marc was able to diagnose the issue and fix it quickly and also replaced my bad battery.If you have a problem, yo Marc will solve itCheck out the shop while Marc revolves it.
