Fantastic quite community with caring neighbors.
I lived here from January 2018 until December of that year (11 month lease), and it was great. The apartment was a little dated, but I loved the proximity to downtown, broad ripple, and Fishers. The community was quiet, and I always felt safe, even when I got home at late hours—it’s really well lit along the paths.I only recall calling maintenance once, and it wasn’t a huge emergency issue, but they responded in a timely manner. There was always ample notice if they were going to change the vents or anything like that, and my neighbors were friendly. If you want a low-key place to live, I’d definitely check this place out. Oh, and they were great to work with when I moved out too. I was going to Boston for work, and it was super smooth. Got my full deposit back and all that. MMV but in my experience, Buckingham was a great landlord and their management team was super friendly!
I love the unit I am in. However when we first signed the lease and did move in inspection the apartment was filthy and things we promised would be taken care of were not. We were compensated and chocked it up to the ball being dropped. However 2 months in and things we made leasing office aware of at time of move in are still not taken care of and the last few times we have gone to the office the staff acts bothered to assist us. The fact that they act this way really bothers me because I love the neighborhood and that its so quiet.
My husband and I have been here for about 6 months now and really enjoy the apartment and the community. Our unit was recently renovated- very clean, classic and modern features. I always felt safe walking getting home late at night. All of our neighbors are very friendly and no one makes a lot of noise. Its close to Broad Ripple, but also to Castleton, while still maintaining that neighborhood feel. Maintenance comes quickly and they are always hosting things for the residents! In the summer we frequent the pool (though it can get crowded on the weekends) and the gym.
This was a lovely, quiet place to live. My apartment was recently renovated with new appliances and my neighbors were quite, but friendly when we did run into each other. It was close enough to Broad Ripple to be able to get a cheap ride, but far enough away that I didnt have to worry about club go-ers on my door step. Maintenance was quick to respond the one time I needed them. The only negative aspect of living here was the mail delivery persons apathy as to whether my mail was in the box, or scattered around it. Overall, I would certainly recommend.
