You will regret moving here. Its the worst place I have lived. Not a good place to move too if have young children. Mouse infested. They live in walls and stuffing falling out of the vents. The lock on the door isnt the best and looks like someone tried to open it. The lighting doesnt work outside or inside by the front door. Hot water goes out a lot. The air has gone out. The appliances are old and fridge is broken too but they wont replace due to not having the money for it.I am editing to add that they have faulty wiring too. There is exposed wiring outside by the air conditioner fan and they hooked inside wiring outside. It is taped with exposed wire. Was not correctly connected. They paint over everything too and our fire alarm was painted over. It had to be ripped off the wall in order to change the dying batteries. We are sadly stuck here in bad living environments. Dont feel like we matter as we have brought our concerns up, but nothing comes of it.We have no electricity now and our food is going to go bad. Cant contact office as they have their number out of service and no emergency number available.

The health department has been here numerous times due to infestations and poor maintenance on water pipes, my entire living room ceiling fell due to mold under the toilet & they make you pay a full $200-700 deposit just to say they already sent it in the mail when you move out and charge for damages that were already there on move in date. roach & mice infestation!! lived her 2 years & wouldnt recommend to anyone

This place is disgusting!! Endless your okay with living with roaches then this is the place for you it’s soooo nasty I’ve tried so hard to get them out of here with my own money not the maintenance cause they absolutely do not do anything but fix a sink or a AC border of health would not accept

The apartments are getting better with time, the new management is trying and doing a good and fast job, but i think the community is the one that sucks, you see people staring at you in the nigh, trying to see what are you doing and stuff, mysteriously walking 🚶‍♀️ on the back of the apartments late at night so i dont really think management can control that but they are trying hard, “yolanda” one of the office clerk is really sweet and nice 👍I used to live here on 2014 and if u think you know a bad place to live omg you haven’t seen this place

We have no heat. We called the Emergency Maintenance line. But, we had no response. Whoever writes positive reviews claiming good customer service is posting fake reviews.

This apartment complex is filled with crime and impolite work staff especially Antonio. They will take days to fix anything even the sewage line. Also the 99% of the apartments have been infested with bed bugs

There are a lot of problems yes but I have yet to find the same amount of sqft with as low as rent is here. Our ac does work but I wouldnt be suprised if others dont. I see a lot of apartments with window units. Maintance takes a few days for sure but they usually fix the problem quickly. Some of the light sockets are loose or dont work because the building is old. Our biggest problem is that this place has so many cockroaches. We spray home defense weekly at this point and it helps but they come from light sockets and drains. But again the rent is so cheap for how much space you get. The area can be rough and we def see reports of shots a few times a month but we personally havent had any issues. Its really nice being right behind a shopping center. Theres 2 laundromats near as well because the laundry center here isnt up and running. And the pool as been closed the past 2 summers for maintenance.

I wouldnt recommend this place to ANYONE! Id rather sleep under a bridge.

I love it here, Im not only a resident I also a vendor and I want to say thanks to the new asset manager, he has made things easier for me as a resident and a vendor. Things get done very quick around here now days. Keep up that great job Capital Place.

I move here since 2013 and I can say I love it, yes things have not always been great but with work orders and things that can be done around the community. But Im really happy here and Im extremely happy with the people working in the office and maintenance. You can tell the difference between the people that are here now and who was here in the pass. Thanks Antonio for all the good changes you brought to the Capital Place.

Maintenance is very unreliable, property manager and leasing agents are very unprofessional and do not care about tenants. Lived here for a year simply because the rent is cheap, and no issues with bugs or anything. With the weather dropping we have had multiple drug addicts sleeping in our hallways and the office has done nothing about it. Another tenant in my building had to get his dog on one last week because they were sitting at the bottom of our steps shooting up dope! Two families in this building have young children 5 and under and obviously the property doesn’t care if they get hurt, step on a needle, or even consume drugs! Would not recommend moving here unless your like me and a single mother with no other options! Can’t wait to get out of this hell hole of a property!

I looked at the two bedroom townhome today I liked the apartment and but the yard and the pool needs work. The Office people were very nice and I the tenants should keep the apartment home clean and kept up

I lived here a few years ago. There is a wait list for maintenance, and our air conditioning was out for an entire summer. There was a lot of apartment space, though, and the office people were nice.

The area is not the best but also not the worst. I can honestly say the staff is great. The apartment manager is available all he time. The lady who does the payment is very good at what she does. Also they have a maintenance line that someone answers immediately. If I could change anything I would change the outside look. Even though they have done a lot of renovations. I enjoy living here.

I been here over 12 years seen so many managers, maintenance and office staff come in and out of this place. But now I want to tell management you guys a great team inside the office and the maintenance guys. I see the guys every morning picking trash and working like ants trying to get the issues resolve. I keep having issues with the hot water but u guys are promp to get the issue done and when is going to take longer you guys let us know. I could not say nothing else but a huge THANKS for everything you do for us.

Ive been here since 2011. Ive seen management come and go. Since Antonio our property manager showed up u can see the change. Things actually are getting done. Finally. I really appreciate how the team give their all for the tenants. Great job. Antonio. Finally a happy tenant.

Maintenance is doing pretty good, I think it is getting a bit better each time myself, never had any bedbugs and management is pretty cool, rent also isnt too bad, most places charges more than what theyre worth

Capital Place has been my home since 2013, this is the longest Ive ever stayed put somewhere. I have noticed a drastic change since Antonio became the apartment manager, not only is he working hard to make our community a much better place, hes awesome!!! I love walking into the front office to his smiling face. Yolanda is just as awesome, they are both a pleasure to work with and make you feel at home. They make a great team.😃😁 Ive even noticed a change in matinance getting things done, it takes time and patience, but they are making it happen...

I do not recommend anyone with morals to move here! This place is a joke; as well as the office management are liars, they do NOT fix anything for at least a week! Maybe not even that! I wouldn’t even give them one star! DONT move here!! It’ll save you some trouble

I knew when I read the reviews of this place that I shouldnt have moved here, but I thought oh its probably just some old jaded tenants who didnt pay their rent on time. Nope. Nope nope nope nope. This place is DISGUSTING. Every other neighbor has bed bugs and is throwing their stuff out. Maintenance? What maintenance. I dont think they even have anyone working! Nothing ever gets done. I cannot break my lease fast enough. Dont move here.

The lady at the front desk Yolanda is very nice and always has a smile on her face. I enjoy seeing her everyday because she waves at me and makes sure Im good.

The service is very very low,the carpet dirty,old if u are looking for hot water u not going to have it!they lier about everything.

This place is infested with mice. The health department has been called several times but nothing has been done. The grass is so high because no one has cut the grass this year!!! It looks like you’re entering a forest. There was a trail of sewage spewing out from the sewer that smelled like death and it took them 4 months to correct that issue. There is mold in the walls and nothing has been done about that either. The air conditioning does not work. The paint is on the carpet. The stove wasn’t even working and got water didn’t work for three weeks. I am not a tenant but my sister moved here 2 months ago and I pray that the Indiana Health Department steps in to help the tenants!! In this condition this entire place needs to be shut down!!!

My wife and I haved lived out here since 2011. Our property manger Antonio is awesome. Hes the why we stayed. He takes care of the tenants. Things are getting done and done right.

Do not move here unless this is your last option, and Dont be fooled by the pictures or the model that they show you. Everything in my apartment looks like it been here since it was built in 1976. Oh and the mice run the place, they have evolved to the point that none of them even attempt to eat the poison. Move here at your own risk, gunshots every now and then seem a little projectish but hey its only double the price of a mortgage .... stop on bye................NOT!

Outlets to plug in ..dont fit they are loose. Other peoples bathroom sewage ran into our apartment twice. If you move here after reading all these bad reviews..your fault..Im getting out of here quick ...

I move in here last summer and you can def tell the difference. Any issue I have gets done ASAP, the office staff is great always respecful and caring. I want tk congratulate Mr. Antonio for everything he is doing he is a man of many tittles. And the maintenacr staff is great even tho Im a little upset Cuba is not working here no more. Last but not least I want to say thanks to Jamar for fixing my heat, always with a smile and polite.

Bed bugs. Whole place is infested. I had to get rid of everything! Ive seen so many couches and beds by the trash all around the complex, I should have known. They came through the walls from my neighbors apartment, and they want YOU to pay for the treatment. $350! If you dont pay, they dont treat. I didnt have a furnace or a.c. unit, but was told I did when I first moved in. Also had sewage back up into the the whole apartment, twice! DO NOT MOVE HERE. Seriously, THIS IS YOUR WARNING!!!!

The office staff is really great and understanding works fast and with great service. The maintenance has made great improvement with new hires and works to their best abilities to get apartments in order.

These apartments are horrible the office NEVER answers the phone but when you walk in the office they are all sitting at their desks not doing anything! We have called maintenance 3 days in a row to come fix the AC that goes out everyother day right now my apartment is at 81 degrees inside Ive told them my baby cant sleep sweating really bad and very hot and again its been 3 days since our AC has went out this last time and not 1 maintenance guy has knocked on my door or called my phone.

This place has gone down hill since Antonio is not there no more. They have empty apartments with homeless stay in. You go to the office and reported and they dont do nothing about it. Issues at my apartment never been fix. I ask one of the maintenance guys and he said the issue was never reported. They have incompetent people working in that office, they dont care about what goes on. Grass building and parking not cut and when you complain the office and maintenance staff tells you if you dont like it do it yourself. I dont see how corporate dont see the issues when they drive through the apartments it looks horrible. The new manager is always on her cell phone and not at the office. I been there several times after work (3:00 pm) and she is never gone for thed day. DO NOT MOVE HERE.

Horrible curb appeal! Horrible management! Dangerous place to be, can only imagine how bad it would be to rent here, apartments are literally falling apart... I can only see currant owners selling this place, since they are allowing anyone to move in!

Yolanda in the office is so amazing. When ever I had a problem she got it fixed right away. She always has a smile on her face. She is the reason I stayed so long she never complained about the problems we had she was always on getting them fixed. She always has a smile on her face.

Dont waste your time, this place is horrible. My apartment was infested with roaches. 2 of the tenants in my building had bed bugs. Terrible parking. Maintenance does nothing. And there is CONSTANTLY police there. You would be better off living in a box then here.

Capital place apartment is the worst place I ever lived in my life. The home looks nothing like the pictures they show. Nothing ever gets fixed. And worst of all the team in the office is very horrible! I wouldnt recommend any one looks to live here!

I signed my lease last April and it is almost up and I CANNOT WAIT to move. This place is trash. The little girl whose room is above my townhouse, she throws trash onto my back deck area. The maintenance hasnt done crap since I moved it. The AC keeps breaking, so I just gave up. The front door has gaps and lets cold air in like cray. So does the back sliding door....they put duck tape on the gap to cover it. DUCK TAPE. People are always taking my parking spots. The police are in here every other weekend. The staff are rude. The walls are paper thin. You can hear everything. DO NOT MOVE HERE. Im a college student at IUPUI and I dont even recommend it to students let alone anyone else.

If I could give this place 0 stars I would. I have lived here for 2 years now and I can say it sucks they have changed management 4 times since I have been here and the office staff are not helpful at all. I live in the back where there has been a water leak for the last year that runs in the street and its under the building somewhere. I also had a water leak for a year that they finally got fixed in my bathroom tub and now I face the issue of my air on and my heat at the same time. I turn off the thermostat and the heat comes on by itself the furnace is hard wired so its 80 outside and my heat comes on unless I turn off the breaker to it. How dangerous is that. I have always paid my rent on time but getting these people to do anything is like pulling teeth. Very pissed off tenant.

If i could give 0 i would, they are very unprofessional and rude! The woman at front desk when you walk in always has a attitude, the manager is never there and if he is he avoids calls! Everytime i put a work order in, call back and everytime its “not in the system”, so it makes it seem like i complained about it later. They demand rent on time, but don’t want to ever fix anything you need fixed. I’ve been trying to get my son door fixed since I’ve moved in, and it has yet to be fixed i moved in sept. There is a big crack down his wall, and they haven’t fixed that yet either i let them know about that last week. I wouldn’t recommend anyone move into these apartments, they are horrible if i didn’t just have a new born and had the money i would move out ASAP and pay whatever i needed to later. That’s how horrible this place is, they are low staff because literally everyone they hire quits within two weeks of working because they get cussed out my tenants because of the office! Don’t even look at these apartments, seriously run!!

Gave them money to hold apartment, things didnt work out financially this month so I cant move. They be wont give me the deposit back said it was only refundable within 7 days. I went to get it over the weekend in which they were supposed to be open according to their hours of operation sign and no one was there. Do not mess with these people they are unprofessional and theives!

This is the Worst apartment complex I have ever seen. DO NOT Come here if you dont want to stress out. Their Maintenance is very very POOR. They take weeks or even months to fix a very simple problem. The Management is even WORST. No one seems to know anything. Your Complaints go to deaf ears!!! They make you believe they are going to resolve your issues; and once you turn your back, they come with a story that there were an emergency somewhere.... and they are going to solve your problems next. They keep you on LOOP until you get tired !!!Dont Wast your Time and Energy to come here because You are going to REGRET !!!!

They do not repair anything you file complaints in your file workorders and they never get taken care of yet they would demand the rent on time and somehow since Ive been there my electric bill is always high and I dont understand why if were never home my bathroom keeps flooding and the water leaks from the ceiling in the electrical socket to my living room and nobodys done anything to take care of it I had to call at one something in the morning because my living room was raining because of water

Worst run apartments Ive ever dealt with. Owners are slum lords and crooks and management is COMPLETELY incapable and soulless!! A Papa Johns delivery man was murdered here right when we moved in!! The maintenence was little to none and shotty at best. The electrical systems are suspect, there is asbestos in the ceilings with duct work running through there. The roof surfaces(shingles) have been replaced probably in the last few years but the flashing work you can see is horrible. The building behind us has a family of raccoons living in the attic because of a gaping hole in the flashing on their roof. We were told in January 2014 the gutters were getting replaced yet here it is almost September and the building behind us is the only one that was done( It faces the road)! *Just a note about the gutters, we have a slow crater forming in the concrete 8 inches outside of our front door. The apartments is well aware of the gutter issue here and even replaced our front door because of the 2 1/2 inch gap on the bottom were the contiuous waterfall out front rusted it away. We stuffed towels underneath considering the brutal winter we had this year coupled with a $200 a month gas bill.* It only took 6 months to get that done!! We also were rented this apartment without knowing the outside AC unit had been stolen in December a month before we signed our lease. We only realized it, without any notice from mgmt, when we went to turn on our AC in late May. This was then added to our long list of maitenence issues, Back sliding door had a 1 inch gap on a non-opening panel of the door and it had no real locking mechanism, No AC unit, Pipes in our floor ruptured three times in JAN and FEB( they filled the holes in our downstairs floor, in the concrete, with GRAVEL. The carpets a litlle lumpy in spots!) The water heater has gone out twice, we have two outlets that crackle and pop (one dosent work at all anymore), the heater went out once for three days in the dead of winter(it was fixed), the office staff is rude and unavailable and has flat out lied to our faces a number of times. They invite the scum of the southside of Indianapolis to there doors with scams and empty promises. The Greystone Properties in Indianapolis should be prosecuted for being slum lords but who am I, and who are they really? Our brand new car was towed last night because we got home with it after business hours and didnt have a parking pass for it. Its now costing me $175 to get it out of impound and the apartments wont even return our calls. Capital Place Apartments is the worst complex on the southside and Greystone Property MGMT is a slum lord!!

DO NOT MOVE HERE! Like many of you that are searching for somewhere to live Ive looked at the reviews of this complex and completely ignored what people were saying about this place. THE MAINTENANCE SUCKS!! When me & 2 of my roommates moved in we looked over the house and told the leasing agent everything that needed to be worked on before we moved in. That was in April it is now August and nothing has been fixed. There are no screens in the window which I think is dangerous since there are a lot of kids that live in the complexes also the main issue was the AC doesnt work weve complained and filled out many work orders and still nothing has been done to resolve the issue. Ive only been living here for 4 months and I already looking forward to my lease being up with this place. Everyone is so unprofessional. The leasing agents dont answer the phones so if youre calling the office to report an issue or asking about leasing information good luck getting in contact with them over the phone.

They take the cars with a sticker and they have to pay one x that the tow trucks take it away, they open your car and to ask for another they grab it a lot from the police report because I had and even so they took my car, the truth or them I recommend this place they will have many problems just because the contract is here if not since when would I be out 😤
