My experience at Foothills Dental has been nothing but great. Shannon who has cleaned my teeth the few times I was there was amazing. I’ve had experiences at other dentists which would normally make me shy away from coming back but Shannon made such an experience where I do like coming back for my cleanings and dental work.

I’ve had a great experience with Dr. Bell doing preventative care and invisible aligners, and give his office 5 stars for my experience.However, my husband had tooth extraction under anesthesia and trying to get things scheduled was difficult. Communication after surgery as far as after care, expectations of healing progression or even follow up has been non existent. We are hopeful to get more information when he can speak without pain, but even finding a email address for him to communicate with them has been hard to pinpoint.Communication needs improvement

I have severe anxiety about going to the dentist, but Dr. Bell has been amazing. He is very skilled, knowledgeable, caring and attentive.

Horrible place they don’t care if it’s an emergency they will let you suffer they have bad service unorganized and they don’t know what they are doing as far as insurance goes

I absolutely love them! The staff is super nice and friendly. Once I was taken back my appointment went smoothly. My cleaning was nice and Brittany and Petra were very nice and delicate. My gums werent sore afterwards. And I didnt have to wait more than 2 min to see the dentist. Big plus! I would recommend them 100%

I have been taking my kids here for 14 years, with one child needing the hospital sedation in the beginning, whon longer requires the sedation. I would trust my kids with no other dentist. Amazing dentist and staff. They were so inviting and kind and helpful. I have a really bad tooth that I was told to pull previously by another dentist that I get to keep. I am beyond ecstatic. My teeth are very important to me and he is willing to do what it takes to save it. Also, of by some off chance the cap doesnt last, the cost will go towards taking different measures. I am impressed and look forward to having the healthy teeth that matter to me.

Dr. Bell takes his time to discuss options in dental care or dental work needs. Then the staff discusses the cost and which option would be financially best for you at that time. They take their time to help you understand the insurance part. They are all friendly and looking out for your best interest. I truly enjoy this dental practice.

I love how happy and clean the dentist is. I always look forward to going. ☺️. Last year I was having severe problems with my wisdom teeth and had to get all 4 pulled and insurance wouldn’t approve even though we tried over and over but Foothills didn’t stop until I could get all 4 pulled at once because I had work and school. They are truly the best dentist that I have ever been too.

My husband and I have been seeing Dr.Tyson for years. Recently, we brought our 3 year old in for a visit. She was TERRIFIED before going. She cried for ten minutes while we waited in the lobby. The hygienists showed her great patience and were great with her. Beth went above and beyond to turn her frown upside down. By the end of the visit she was all smiles. She was very proud of her visit all evening and we were constantly reminded that she LOVES the dentist and cannot wait for her next appointment. Dr. Tyson, Beth, and the other staff were all great! They took extra precautions to save my tooth so I didnt have to have a root canal. Saving the tooth also saved me some money. Double Yay! Everyone was friendly and accommodating. Would recommend very highly!

Great dentist and great staff. Very personable. We have a special needs child and they are show so much patience with him even though it takes longer to clean his teeth and do his check up. They fully explain and recommend other services but are not pushy or demanding if we decide not to do them. Would highly recommend Foothills Dental Care to anyone.

My daughter had a filing (placed by our former dentist) fall out on a Sunday. Monday morning, I called and got her in that morning with Dr. Bell. He is such a good, gentle dentist and got it fixed promptly. The whole office is so friendly and caring! I highly recommend them!

My children and I have gone to this dentist office for years. We love it! Always comfortable, calm, and clean feeling. They are very personable. And they tell us what we need to know along with a wise time frame for resolution in order to avoid further problems, but being mindful of potential financial challenges they never pressure us to get a treatment or procedure. They always very beforehand what the insurance will cover and they inform us up front what we can expect as to out of pocket cost so that we can make an informed decision as to what we want to do at that particular visit...avoiding any surprises!

Incredible!!! Anyone in America who happens to be passing thru Idaho falls or living nearby This is your dentist.On July 20, my husband and i (were from San Diego, Ca) were on our way back from Yellowstone national park. My temp crown had broken the day before and I had not slept or eaten due to the pain and sensitivity and feeling miserable. I saw a great review on google and called the Foothills location. They were able to see me within 1hr and locate my insurance info .Dr Reid and Kiley and were amazing, courteous, friendly, professional, and simply made me feel special. I walked out of there with happy tears. My husband asked why i was crying, i told him Ive just had the Hallmark movie experience in Idaho falls.Dont forget to have breakfast or brunch across the street at Abracadabra. The dentist isnt my favorite way to pass the time. However, I was treated in an amazing manner at my last appointment. Very good staff, the ONLY dentist around that has a non credit payment plans. Only bad thing is I did not receive my $75 gift card after becoming a new patient like your supposed to. Other than that amazing.

Dr. Reid is absolutely amazing! I had a horrible experience as a child that has made me terrified of dentists. He listens to my concerns and makes me feel very comfortable! I have brought my kids to see him as well. He is very interactive with them, makes them smile and feel safe! He goes everything that he is going to do and shows all this tools to the kids. I would recommend Dr. Reid to anyone!

I have gone to this dentist office for 23 yrs now. I dont believe that in that amount of time anyone will have an absolutely perfect visit every time because they are all human that work there. I dont go there for the freebies or promotions. I go there because they are all an awesome group of caring human beings that treat me like a fellow human and with care and empathy. Even through all the growing pains going from a one man practice to 2 offices and lots of personnel, theyve never totally failed me like some of these reviews describe. Its interesting how many negative people arent even actual patients!!

I love all the people that work at this office- always very kind and professional! However I do feel like there prices are way higher than alot of dentists in the area! I went in this week for a cleaning and was told I had to get some work done on my teeth and the costs were huge, after going to another dentist I found out that the work I needed was very minimal and would be a third of the cost! Will definitely be going somewhere else from now on!

I saw Dr Josh Bell for tooth pain in my wisdom tooth. I never had them removed as a youth because there was room and had caused me no issues. Unfortunately I had a 3rd cavity and it was time to have it extracted...which I was very nervous about. He did an amazing job, it only took about 20 min including sedation. Today should be the peak of the pain and Dr Josh Bell I just have to complement you on the fantastic job on my tooth. I have taken a total of 6 200mg ibuprofen...and I have taken nothing today. Honestly I think the shot is causing more pain than the tooth extraction. You are spectacular!

Got my wisdom teeth out today. Dr Bell is amazing. He is the only dentist Ive met who has understood that Im hard to numb, and he has waited until Im numb to do anything, even if it means repeated numbing. Ill continue coming back for all my needs! His assistant, Shauntel, was amazing as well and made sure I was comfortable!

Dr. Bell was great. After going to another dentist in pain and being treated bad because I had no insurance. The staff at foothills dental worked hard to figure out what was wrong. Even if I didnt have insurance they figured out a way to cut my costs and got my pain taken care of. They helped me get some cost cutting saving plan and it was a great help.

My 4 yr old, 7 yr old and myself all went to get our teeth cleaned at the same time. We all had a wonderful experience and my 7 yr old daughter said she wants to go back every week! We have been very happy with Foothills Dental at each of our visits.

Probably one of the best overall offices I have been to in the health care industry. They call me by name when I come to the office, and are always happy when I see them. I have had a complicated case with an implant and feel I have been taken care of all along the way. Dr. Tyson has answered every question and taken extra time and care to make sure I was having the best experience. Even when I have had extra complications I was treated fairly and never up-charged or taken advantage of. Integrity is the best way I can describe how I have been handled and am happy to refer family and friends because of the way I have been treated...I wanted to add a little more after a couple of months. Like I stated I had a complicated case. Dr. Tyson did a great job fixing my teeth. Since my case was long and confusing there were some diffences in what I thought originally was going to be charged as to what was charged. There were mistakes made on both sides. The office manager Donna, sat down with me and we went through everything and were able to work it out for both sides. I was very pleased with her and everyone who did what it took to make it right for both of us. No office is perfect, there will be ups and downs but I am very confident that this office wants to do the right thing when it is in their power to do so.

Absolutely fantastic dental work and service!!!I had a PAINFUL, cracked back molar that needed to be fixed ASAP. They got me an appointment the very next morning (13 hours from when I made the appointment the previous evening), and gave me a veterans discount. As a recent US Army retiree, my dental insurance doesnt kick in until May 2018, and the veterans discount was very, very welcome given our tight finances.And, my tooth no longer hurts, I have a crown on it, and this work should last decades and not hurt like the fillings.Overall EXCELLENT work!! Thank you!

I had a toothache that was progressively getting worse. I called on a Thursday and they were able to get me in on Saturday morning. It was perfect as my work schedule is pretty busy. They were so kind and professional and even gave me a gift. The laughing gas was a plus, lol. Definitely recommend. Wonderful experience I will be returning and wouldn’t hesitate to recommend.

I’ve been going to this dentist for 3 years now. Each time I feel that my needs are met and my questions answered. Last week when I went in, Dr. Bell took a good 30-45 minutesntalking to me about options and making sure all my questions were answered. Then he even answered a quick question about one of my kids (who didn’t even go to his office yet) and offered to fix fluorosis without hesitation. This appears to be a rest place to work and it sure is the best dental office I’ve EVER been to.

The staff is friendly and they have some great perks. We just had to switch after several issues. Any one would have been something we could have probably overlooked, but when they started piling up it was time to leave. I went in for 4 filling and ended up having to go back at least 5 times to get my bite adjusted afterward. One of the fillings ended up needing a root canal. After talking to several other dentists I understand that happens occasionally, but I have to wonder with the other issues we had. My 5 year old went in for 4 fillings at the same time that I did. She just lost one of the fillings and when we took her in there was infection under where the filling was. They covered the warrantee for the filling and then did a pulpie on the tooth. Dr. Murdock was clearly rushed when he did the repair. I am pretty certain it won’t last. Again, I understand that this can happen, but wait, there’s more. Just a week later, my son broke a tooth in half that Dr. Murdock filled. There is infection visible inside the tooth. I had a military dentist complete an exam recently that show 2 more cavities. I just can’t bring myself to risk the pain and frustration of having Dr. Murdock fix them. I can’t think that all of these issues would be the standard of care at any dentist. My recommendation to foothills and river west is to encourage Dr. Murdock to retire. He’s a nice guy, but he is clearly past prime as a dentist.

Absolute worst dentist i have ever been to! They over charge and try to sell you dental work you dont need. They wanted to do 3 root canals and crowns on me. I got a second opinion and all i needed was 3 fillings. They also wanted me to come in twice a month for orthodontic therapy. Then came the phone calls, the called me frequently pushing for me to come back. The first time i went just for a cleaning the secretary came up to me before i even had my teeth looked telling me i needed to call my insurance company to authorize all these different procedures they wanted to do. I went to this place for three years and every time i was there i felt like i was talking to a used car salesman. Never again!!!!!!

I feel that in most cases dentistry can be a two way sord, thats insurance via out of out pocket expense. Hopefully the priority given to saving the teeth. So far Dr Tyson has done just that. Thanks again!

I hate Going to the dentist because I’ve always had bad experiences. I decided To go there because a coworker told me they were good. I have Been going regularly for years now and they are very nice and do anything they can to make you comfortable.

I have brought my family here for many years now and couldnt imagine going anywhere else. The staff is friendly and remembers who we are each time we come in. Dr Reid is all that I could ask for in a dentist. Thanks for all that you do!

Worse experience ever! Went in on Saturday 5/6 had my teeth cleaned, decide I wanted to get my teeth whiten also. They did the Sensational smiles with the UV light. According to the sensational smiles web site I should have had the light on for 20min well they did it for 30min. I woke up on Sunday with my lips 4x there size. On Monday my lip was full of blisters and very swollen still I could even feel them in my throat. I called them on Monday asked to talk to DR was told I couldnt and he was to busy. Tried calling again see what I can apply on my UV burn still was not able to talk to him. His assistant finally called me in the afternoon and asked what was going on I explained she told I must have hand and foot. I told her that was not possible she said thats the only thing it could be. I went in after work and the DR agreed it was a UV burn. All they said was here is a prescription that I would have to buy to heal. In other words I paid for whitening, paid for my prescription and today day 3 still have a fat lip full of blisters. Really dont think they cared seemed it was something that always happened. DO NOT GO FOOTHILL DENTAL OR RIVERWEST DENTAL. I will be reporting them.

My girlfriend decided to try this place because they offered her a free dental exam and cleaning. Watch she ended up with was dishonest service and bullshit. The dentist at foothill said she had 4 cavities when in fact after she went to a real professional dentist in Salt Lake City, said she only had 1. On top of this the dentists at foothill wanted to charge her anywhere from $212 to $260 per cavity whereas the real professional dentist in Salt Lake City charged her only $150 for the 1 cavity he could find. And to make matters worse when we actually TRIED to get foothill to send us the X-Ray exams just to make sure this REAL PROFESSIONAL dentist in Salt Lake City could find out just where these other cavities could be guess what foothill said? First they said it would take 5-7 days and the approval of a supervisor and doctor just to email the records after we sent them the privacy form allowing for transfer of the exams, and when they still didnt send them what did they say? They said it would cost $150 dollars to e-mail the x-rays they had already done. What a joke! What a bunch of con artists. I am going to tell all my friends to stay away from this place and fill a complaint with the Better Business Bureau. My girlfriend was in some serious pain with her cavity and she got nothing but bullshit from this dental practice.

I 💖love the team at foothills and riverwest I always receive the best care I just had to have an emergency extraction done Saturday on an abcessed tooth and and they came in after hours to take care of me I will not go to anyone else!!

Took my fiancé in this morning to have a tooth pulled. Their phones and internet were down. We had to remind them that he was a new patient, and ask for the new patient paperwork. We sat in the waiting room for a good 20 minutes when we over heard the receptionist tell another patient they needed to reschedule due to the fact they couldn’t preform x-rays. I asked the receptionist if I needed to reschedule for later, or if I needed to take him somewhere else. The receptionist went back and asked, they said they could “visually inspect the tooth.” When we got back to the room the hygenist/nurse/student(?) glances in his mouth and said oh that’s a surgical removal. I asked what cash pay would cost, they couldn’t tell me because yet again their computers were down. We left. We found another dentist that pulled his tooth with out surgical extraction. After providing a thorough exam, and X-rays. And was fair priced. If they simply would have told us their computers were down and rescheduled, or even When I asked if we should go somewhere else, had they been honest. I wouldn’t have wasted an hour for nothing to have been done, and even when we asked pricing, the nurse/student(?) made it seem like we were below her or the practice to have even asked.

The staff was friendly and the service was good, however, they didnt hold up on their promotion for a gift card. They also didnt inform me of the possibility that I wouldnt qualify because of my insurance, even though the insurance covered it. (I have two insurances. One covered part of it, and the other covered the rest.) They told me prior that my primary insurance should cover everything but the fluoride treatment, so I would qualify once they paid the account off. They said nothing about not qualifying because of my secondary insurance. Very disappointing.

We had our 4 year old have a checkup with my brother who is a dentist and he said that she would need to go to a pediatric dentist because one of her cavities was so deep and she would need to be put under. We called around Idaho Falls to different dentists getting quotes on the services my brother said she needed. We received a quote back from Foothills Dental that was cheaper than most of the other places, but on top of that they were extremely friendly and made sure that we knew how everything was going to go.When we showed up for the surgery, Dr. Justin Bell came in and talked to me and my daughter and made sure we were aware of what was going to happen during the surgery. He made sure my daughter wasnt scared, which was a huge help.After the surgery Dr. Bell pulled me aside and let me know how the surgery went and what to expect and watch for once we left. They did a great job and we would recommend their services to anyone!

Never trust a dentist that needs to offer ipods or iPads to get you on the door. Need I say more? There are those that fell for it then believed them when told certain costs would be reduced. Didnt happen. Dont go dont trust these people. They are crooks!

Dr Reed was great, I lost my crown over the weekend, called monday and got right in, he got it back in there, no pain and i was in and out inunder a hour, I would recommend there office

I went into foothills dental on 6/16/2015 due to some excruciating pain on the right side of my mouth. The dentist did an xray and stated I had an infection into the nerve of my tooth that needed to be treated right away before the infection spread. My insurance had just become active and I had yet to receive my flexed spending card to pay for my portion up front. Even though I had an infection that was threatening my body the dentist refused to do the work even though I had insurance and was going to pay my portion of the root canal in 3 days. So I waited for days, still in pain. Got my card, scheduled my appointment and got the root canal and crown done all in one day. As soon as the Novocaine wore off the tremendous pain came rushing back, I figured it was healing and would take a bit to ease down. I waited a week, unable to eat, sleep or think and decided to go back. Dentist said the crown was sitting too high and that was causing the pain, so he filed down the crown and assured me pain would go away in a weeks time. A week later, no relief, once again I go back to foothills and see the same dentist, they do some more xrays, at this time I had just found out I am pregnant. The dentist assured me again, everything was fine, even the molars in the back that the main pain felt like it was coming from that had very visible cavities in he said were fine and not the cause. He said it might be my TMJ so I went and saw a TMJ specialist, spent $400 out of pocket on bite blocks thinking that would help, after a week of bite blocks, no relief. At this point, I then lost my job because I couldnt function to perform my job properly with all the pain. Went back to dentist who assured me once again there is no visible infection or causes for my pain. Now I go to my dr since the pain had spread to my ear, Dr checks my ear, ear is fine. Off to the chiropractor, spent the $200 on chiropractic work and laser treatments thinking the cause was an inflamed jaw muscle, once again no relief. Second trip to my primary dr who said I had an inflamed trigeminal nerve, prescribed steroids, anti viral and Vicodin ( I am pregnant but in so much pain Its all we could do) I am on this regimen for a week, no such luck yet either. I make a trip to the er, er dr presses on the gums by the tooth I originally said was bothering me the one that the dentist assured me was fine and what do you know, puss and blood ooz from the tooth. The next week I schedule an appointment with a different dentist to get a second opinion after going a full 48 hours with no sleep, shaking and crying in pain. Within minutes the new dentist could see I had a huge abscess without having to look at my tooth at all. He pulled the tooth for $300 and less than 24 hours later I am feeling great! All the pain is gone. Foothills/ Riverwest did a $1,000 root canal on the wrong tooth when the problem tooth would have only been $300 to pull, caused me to spend hundreds of dollars in unnecessary medical appointments and medications, my job and the health of my unborn child when all it would of taken to help me was a small tooth extraction a month ago.

My husband needed a tooth pulled really bad called in the morning and they got him in within a few hours thank you so much for giving him the help he desperately needed!!!
