Staff was great. Forerunner handled well and got decent fuel consumption. However wish it would have had side mirror lights when someone is beside yo also auto seats would have been nice. Oil maintenance light kept coming in and was reported to staff eight after pick up along with small Crack in windshield.

UPDATED - Avis did the right thing and correct the charge. Thank you!!you charged me 231% more than my reservation because the car was returned a couple hours past the target time. How is that considered an extra day? How does this extra day cost 120% more than my total reservation for two days? Price gouging!

On a recent trip I got a flat tire on a weeklong backpacking trip. Roadside assistance never fixed the tire and eventually towed the vehicle while I was out of cell service without my knowledge. Avis never fixed my flat tire, towed the vehicle to a different state, and charged me for the entire repair. You have lost a customer. I am a Presidents Circle member and will never rent from Avis again and assure that none of my friends rent through Avis either unless the issue is resolved.The response and bill was completely unacceptable.

Very nice staff at this location. Easy car pick in Idaho Falls airport. Car was a Mazda CX5 and was fairly new, only 7,000 miles and very clean.

Watch out for the scam at this location. Prepaid vehicle, was late related to flight delay but I had no problem paying for vehicle to make sure reservation was upheld. At counter overheard employee Kerri stating they did not have class of car reserved and tried to convince me to upgrade which I told them I did not want to do. They then said they would upgrade for free. Then she tried to convince me I needed lost waiver insurance when both my insurance company and credit card company pay for this. Then she said that because I was from out of town I needed to buy roadside assistance until I told her I had AAA. Then she said the roads in Idaho are made of rock and I really need to get windshield protection. After a long conversation I left with no upcharges.Upon returning the vehicle she handed us a receipt with nothing else said. I realized that my credit card was billed for $48.29 after I had prepaid the vehicle on a separate card. Tried calling the location for 2 days and was either hung up on or sent immediately to a recording for Budget rent a car. I looked at receipt and realized that the prices on my receipt did not match my prepaid reservation. An email to Avis for help with no response. I am know having to dispute the charge through my credit card company.This is my first and last time renting with Avis, your employees do not know what they are doing have horrible customer service and deceptive practices. Shame on your company for deceptive business practices and scamming vacationers.

When I arrived to pick up the car, the attendant played on their phone and ignored me at the counter for about 5 minutes until I called out. At drop off there were no Avis spots open so I had to leave the car in a different companies spot, and the key drop off box was so full that we and other customers had to literally crush the keys and return slips into the box to even get them to stay in the slot, let alone fall into the security compartment.

This company has fraudulently charged me for cleaning fees the last two times that I have rented from them. Each time they have claimed that I have returned the vehicle dirty/damaged with a smell of smoke in the car. I contacted them both times and told them it was not possible. Neither time did I ever have food, drink, or tobacco in the vehicle. EVER! So, one of three things happened here: 1) they took false photos of the interior of the vehicle (7 hours after it was returned), or 2) an employee at the return location in Chicago OHare used the vehicle for a smoke and drink break, or 3) they never cleaned the car before I picked it up ( I did notice some interior during the rental but did not notify them of this). I tried in good faith to rectify the excessive cleaning charges with them, but it just turned into a my word against theirs. I am more than disappointed. I am totally disgusted with them as a company for the fraudulent charges. Whatever you do, please do not rent from them. They are liars and cheats!

The rep had not a care in the world with the rate, the condition of the car or my safety. First car the steel belt was frayed on front driver tire, I refused it, 2nd car once speed was up to 35 moh the front end shook and steering was unsafe. Rep did nothing to accommodate that I was over 3 hours late in leaving his terminal due to all these delays.

Worst experience!! The lady that “helped” us was so rude. I made a reservation on Priceline. She proceeded to tell us since we didn’t have a credit card right then, she cancelled our reservation and proceeded to tell us it would now cost $100 more. I will never rent from them or refer them to anyone I know.

Rating is a mixed bag.. ZERO stars for Avis as a company. 5 Stars to Sherry and Paula at this location who personally made a horrible situation better. We rented the first car from Avis in Fort Collins CO, everything was fine for the 1st 100 miles.. thats how long the A/C lasted. With it 87 degrees we had to have air, so after finally finding (very long story) the Avis in Jackson WY were given the first replacement car. After driving a few days noticed the scarily bald tires and contacted the Idaho Falls location (there was no way we were going to risk going over the Teton pass back to Jackson in such a dangerous vehicle). Sherry (who we talked to) and Paula the manager took great care of us and we had the second replacement car in which everything worked and was safe for our return home. (NOTE: The pictures are of the death trap the Jackson location gave us).Kudos to Sherry and Paula who actually helped us and did so efficiently and in a helpful and friendly manner!

Always easy transactions, walk to counter give name, they hand us the key, tell us where it is located, drop off walk in give key, its complete. One note is we always have a hard time trying to reserve a car on your web-site, one call to costumer service, we can get what we want.

Excellent staff and location. For being such a small airport, I thought I would be stuck at the counter for a long time. Instead, I was out the door and on my way to a brand new Dodge Durango with less than 100 miles on the odometer in about five minutes

Very shady...Its clear Im not the only person who would advocate avoiding doing business here. They are very deceitful and will over charge wherever they can. Just google Avis over charged me and youll find an overwhelming number of people being screwed over by Avis.We recently got a car for my parents and my dad was talked into getting their additional liability coverage even though he was already covered through his own insurance and through the card that was used for the rental. This wast the issue though as that was my fathers fault for not knowing. The issue came with the bill when it was apparent that they not only charged for the liability insurance but also road side assistance and loss damage waiver. This ended up being $783. Who would pay that much for insurance on a vehicle you only will have temporarily. That is almost as much as they pay to insure their two vehicles for the entire year. No one in their right mind would agree to that. Also dont try to work with their customer service as they will just tell you too bad and never even open up a case for you.It takes a lot for me to write a bad review for a company but this put me over the edge.What a JOKE!

Long story short, they charged me twice for my reservation and the manager wouldnt even speak to me, he didnt talk to the employee about her mistake, kept saying they sent my return to their financial department. I was calling twice a week. I called the main Avis customer service after a month of not getting my money back. Finally got my refund today and they didnt do anything to compensate for this mess they caused me. If you rent from them you better cross your fingers nothing goes wrong because they dont care about you. Worst customer service ever. But shout out to Patty who is the only competent employee there.

BEWARE!!! We rented three cars. For three days. They did not tell us about a mileage limit. We drove through yellowstone for two days. We returned the three cars. The next day they charged one of our cards $47, one $200, the third card none. When called they said one of the cars drove 1500 miles (impossible), the other car 650 miles, the third car under 400 miles. We all followed each other everywhere. With no proof we are out of luck. Never again will we rent from them. Dishonest and no communication. Horrible experience.

Was charged for insurance I didnt request or need as my own car insurance covers rentals. Talked with the manager and was told too bad it was signed for I said nothing was discussed with me about insurance, I never received any paperwork until I returned the car. They were dismissive and basically didnt care to discuss the matter. I will never rent with them again and will tell my business associates to avoid this company.
