My friend was looking for a used suv and found one she liked. The problem I have is that they would not budge even a dollar on the price. I have dealt with them before and they tried to sell me an SUV that needed major work (loose timing chain).

Purchased our car there and get out oil changes there, so I was previously satisfied with their service. However not long ago when I went in for an oil change, I was told my brakes were shot, the rotors were bad, it needed to be fixed asap, and the cost would be around $400-500. I didnt have the money to fix it, so I postponed it. My brakes sounded fine, felt fine, and from what I could see without taking everything apart, looked fine. Took my car to a different mechanic and they said there was nothing wrong with my brakes, nothing wrong with my rotors. They had no idea why Smith Group would tell me they were bad. My guess? A woman is an easy mark to make an extra $500. What would she know about cars? Hint: more than you think.

I am really a Chevy and Honda fan. My guy has a wonderful Chevy Silverado and I have a terrific Honda Accord. The sales people were terrific and we worked well together. Everyone was very friendly and helpful.

They helped me and replaced my recalled airbag, they were very friendly. My car has been very well taken care of and they gave me a list of around 3,000$ worth of things that needed fixing.... I highly doubt all of that was needing replacement at the same time so I will be going somewhere else to check and make sure Im not throwing money in the wind.

Super cool and good service

My husband and I were getting ready to start a family and new we needed a bigger and more reliable car to fit our family and our dog. We got to work with Ron Brown who listened to all of our needs and showed us the best options that would suit us. He made sure it was in our budget and that we felt comfortable with our big purchase. He was great at answering all of our many questions and putting our minds at ease! We purchased that car and have loved it since the day we drove it off the lot! Two years later we found out we were having twins and we needed a bigger truck for my husband so we went back to see Ron and he found the perfect truck within minutes of us getting there. We will always be giving The Smith Group our business and will go back to Ron Brown for any new car we need!

To the jackass that was chewing out the parts and service guys on March 8th, 2018, your introduction is justified as it reflects the attitude and terrible manner you presented yourself to these hard workers. I have been to numerous dealerships and parts and service counters across the state and I know bad service. The only thing sour and worth going to any authorities over was your attitude and ensuring people like you are locked up. Everyone at the service counter was being fair and honest with you. They were telling you things regarding your vehicle that you refused to listen to and you automatically assumed they were trying to steal your money. If you took two seconds to get your head out of your own ass you would realize that what they recommended for repairs on your vehicle suited the climate and region you live in. I worked with cars long enough to know that harsh conditions like Idaho Falls require heavy maintenance to make sure your vehicle runs properly. Get. Over. Yourself! Each of the guys here have more class in their middle finger than you do in your entire family line. If you dont like the service go somewhere else or better yet learn to fix it yourself because with your attitude no one with half a brain would touch you with a ten-foot pole.Smith group you guys are awesome! I have never been disappointed with the Chevy service Ive received when visiting you. Its always prompt, reliable and affordable. To anyone out there who possibly reads a review about these guys trying to rip someone off around this date ignore him and shame him in public. Called and made an appt for recalls to be done on my chevy cruze. I also requested a quote for the replacement of my water outlet because i knew it was leaking. After dropping off the car i got a call that stated the repair would be $300+ with parts being 60 of that. When i informed them i would need to think about it they said they would charge me an $80 diag fee if i didnt do the repair. What diag? I asked for a quote on a specific part. No diag was required. He settled for employee pricing of $45 after i specifically told him i did not request a leak check. Its pretty bad when i can call any shop in town and get a quote over the phone for nothing.To top it off they did not have the courtesy to clean the car after the recalls were performed, even though they do that for all services performed. I also did not recieve any paperwork for the recalls so have no proof anything was actually done. Will not be returning

My wife and I had been looking for cars for quite some time until we came across a Pontiac G6 from Smiths. We found what we were looking for online, called and made an appointment with a salesman, and drove away in our new car that night. We have loved the car. They are excellent at detailing their used cars. The day after we bought the car I noticed that one of the headlights was burned out. Since we live an hour away, our salesmen met us halfway with a new bulb for the headlight free of charge. Im positive they would have popped it in for me if I had been in Idaho Falls. A week later we have found a small mechanical problem. I called our salesman and he said bring it in and we will do everything we can for you. This has been the only car dealership that I dont regret doing business with. An easy 5 stars for me. Also, I would highly recommend John Brooks as your salesman.

I had a great experience at Smith Chevrolet. I really like Sloan, my salesperson. Every time I am there, I stop in to visit with him. The service department does a great job assisting me and answering questions. The detail shop does a great job cleaning my truck. Overall, the people at Smith Chevrolet are good to work with.

I bought a brand new Chevrolet Cruze premier from them and its been the best car I have owned. The salesman i had was so knowledgeable, kind, and never forced me into buying my car. And to this day, he still gives me the occasional call to make sure my car is running great and asks if I need anything. Definitely left there satisfied and with a new set of wheels.

We were recommended to talk with Paul Johnson at the Smith Group - he was awesome to work with - felt like we were old friends. He wasnt overbearing or pushy like some car salespeople. We got an excellent trade in our Sierra and are extremely happy cruising around in our new Impala. Nate was also very courteous and helpful when we did our financing. I am currently shopping for a truck. I want something that I can DO something with not some girly thing thats useless. This is what I told the salesman named Warren. Quite possibly Warren has cost this company a sale. I guess thats not a big deal whats one sale right. So, instead of allowing me to look at the stickers. See the specs and price I was distracted with leather seats, air conditioned seats, and back up cameras. This is all good and well, but I want to know what truck can do, what can it haul, how much can I load in the back, for how much. I told the man I was shopping, shopping as in looking and comparing and I will get back to you. 5 times during the conversation Warren tried to get me to go in and sign up to take the truck home today. Not impressed at all. Felt pushed and didnt feel as if I got any useful information to help me choose a vehicle that will fit my needs and desires.

These guys here at Smith Chevrolet are great! We stopped on in roundabout 5:45 looking to test drive a new Chevy Colorado. We didnt realise they closed at 6! Instead of simply telling us they were closed and sending us off with contact info, they greeted us at the door, let my wife and I both have an opportunity to drive the vehicle, and were exceptional in the interchange of information afterwards. Very easygoing dealership, not pushy at all. Highly recommended!

I had a problem with my head lights and Greg told me the sunrise would be earlier than 7:45, which was my appointment, and it was not. I was late for my appointment. He did not apologize. Then he said it was done and getting detailed. Even though I found things that were lost since 2005 (when I got the car) on my passenger chair, It seems it was not vacuumed. I must of assumed vacuuming comes with detailing. My windows did look like someone washed them due to the streaks across my window. The only person that did not give me any problems was the gentleman that drove me back to my house so I could go to work. I will say that they did wash the outside of the car well. When they checked me out at the counter both men was talking to me and another customer at the same time, so it was confusing.I will say they were civil, but when I asked for the list of what was done for my records, they could not seem to acquire as they were talking to each other about the computer areas. I used to get smiles and an understanding nod when I came in with a problem, but that might be old fashioned and therefore not provided anymore. When I was in Customer Service at Home Depot, I made every customer feel like I was there for them. I like that same attitude when I deal with others in the same capacity. I do understand that doing recalls dont give the guys any money, but the way I was treated, Ill go to Ribgy the next time I need help from a dealership. Thank you.

I enjoyed my experience buying my new 2013 Silverado ! I started by looking for a good used pickup. Warren our salesperson pointed out the good deals on the new trucks. I have had two silverados with the 5.3 vortex and was satisfied with their performance. Warren pointed out the one with the 6.2 and I am more than pleased with it for towing. Warren was a big help and wasnt pushy but concerned with our needs! If I decide to buy another truck or car I will return! Thanks Warren!

They seemto be concerned about customer service. I came in for a key reprogramming. It turned into a long ordeal much longer than I was planning for. I was told 30 to 45 minutes turned into an hour and a half. And I wasnt planning on them doing their complimentary 21-point check. They did that unasked and unbidden for and I think contributed to a significant delay. Just be aware!

Omce they get your phone number they will bomb you with repetitive calls and mail. I went in for a recall replacement and they have called me 2x a day for 4 days. I will try driving to the dealership 45 minutes away next time.

You guys scammed me. I bought a certified car from you only to have my bumper fall off after a week of driving then I had to Fight for you guys to pay just half of the repair costs. Then today I learned the car has 4 open recalls from before I Purchased this car. You sold it as certified yet didnt even bother to check on the recalls that is pretty dishonest and I will never shop with you guys again.

Most trustworthy place in eastern Idaho to buy or service a car. Really friendly people.

Where do I begin, We saw an ad on the website for a 2007 Dodge Nitro that had been inspected and looked at prior to our visit. This ad said it was in top notch shape and ran great, blah blah and so on. My husband and I took a test drive and decided to purchase the vehicle thinking it was well maintained and everything had been checked so of course it was safe! We dont even get 2 minutes off the lot and the brake lights do not work, the window motor is broke in the back and the windows do not roll down, cruise is broke, heater doesnt work and the check engine light comes right on. I got a hold of the Service manager and he agreed to have it brought in and fixed, we brought it in, they fixed it and we came to get it. Brake lights still do not work, heater blows cold and now there is a rear noise grinding in the back and still a check engine light. I call again, and we bring it in... they had to take it to Dodge because they couldnt figure out the problem, and when we got it back I got a feisty message from the Garage/Parts Manager saying he cant keep throwing parts into this vehicle. These salesman probably knew damn well all the issues and were trying to push the POS off the lot as fast as they could.... but what they fail to realize is, this is someones family driving this unsafe vehicle, would you put your children in the back with no brake lights, a check engine and no heater for in the winter time? I have never been so aggravated at a company in my entire life. For all the bull they put on their commercials saying we are 100% for our customers, I would have never thought that since my awful experience

This was my first time purchasing a car. Sem, the car salesperson was wonderful to work with. He was patient as I tried to make some final decisions. The most important thing I can say about Sem is that he is an honest salesperson. He followed up and helped me in any way possible. After I had gotten my title, he put my license plates on for free. He was willing to help with anything after I had made the purchase. Smith Auto Group makes you feel important and puts you first when you have concerns, questions or problems. Great experience!

Awful service. They have given us a terrible time the last 5 years when we try to use our extended warranty. Theyve even charged us for services which shouldve been covered under our extended warranty.There are still parts that arent repaired, even though it would be a simple tightening, etc.Dissatisfied for sure.
