To keep it short and sweet, I LOVE living in my Neighborhood Rentals apartment. If I have any issues with my place at any time, Kim (manager) is always quick on the draw to have them resolved. So is maintenance when necessary. And our community is always looking terrific because she stays on top of it. In the most professional manner, of course. The community itself has great tenants and takes pride in itself. Neighbors are friendly if you extend a hand and as a senior lady, I feel very safe. I moved here from out of state last December and Kim made, what could have been a mess, an easy transition. Oh, and did I mention I love it here!

I rent through Neighborhood Rentals and they made it so easy to get a place! Yes, the market is really hard right now but they’re not taking advantage of it. They only take an application fee IF they actually have a rental for you. Getting a place, moving in and living here has been so nice because they make me feel like a person, not just someone to take money from. Shawna, specifically, really wants to find you a home and make sure you’re happy there. We had a couple issues right when we moved in, but she fixed them right away and kept us in the loop the whole time. She’s really the best!!

I have lived in the Mountain West subdivision for almost 2 years now and I love it. Im close to work, shopping, and the gym. Its perfect for a senior citizen like myself. I dont plan on moving anywhere else.

Absolutely AVOID THIS PLACE. Unacceptable, unpredictable, and unprofessional. I hope I never have to speak to the property managers again after this is finally settled, thats how hard its been.My bf & I traveled from Indiana for work. When we finally made the trip, met up to get the keys, walked in, and were immediately hit with a very bad smell. I noticed it right away as cat urine. I have cleaned the floors 3 times on my own since weve been here and havent been able to get rid of the smell. Our socks were black after the first night walking around and we later found used cat litter splattered in the trash can. We assume this is the dust we kept finding on the floors. Pretty unacceptable.Being very allergic to cats, this is now a health concern.On the bright side, Kim Kennedy offered a different property for us to move to.However they were only able to take 20$ off the rent of the other address and give us 100$ account credit(which costs us more, even though THEY moved us into this address that clearly was not ready to be lived in), instead of price matching completely which I feel is more appropriate given the situation. What a warm welcome.It is now currently three weeks later and we are just now starting to move into the other address. Delays were caused by poor communication, email avoidance until pressured, we were once given the wrong keys and couldnt get in for a whole weekend because the past tenant must have changed the locks and now despite clarifying what we would be paying at the new address, our account is now being charged ANOTHER 500$ deposit and 10$ late fee. Despite speaking previously in an email that the deposit would be transferred over. Hopefully this is corrected easily, but this entire process has been a chaotic stupid nightmare. Every single time I think something is working this awful company messes it up again. I originally thought Kim was helpful and making the best of things as she could, but I am now doubtful. Only so many things can go wrong before it seems to be purposeful, or at the very least, vastly unorganized. No business, especially not housing, should ever conduct themselves this way. I wish I could write a longer review fully detailing how much of a CONSTANT HASSLE this situation is.DO NOT TRUST the nice and friendly appearance. Only correspond with them via written email for proof and document. Do not bother calling. Check the property before signing ANYTHING. And if you do choose this place as a last resort, then please check your rent portal account and make sure they didnt miscalculate your rent and fees. My trust is broken with the rental agency as a whole. I am very frustrated that I moved my bf and our two pups to this, &I am very certain that this is my worst rental experience ever. (And I move often for work, so Ive been at quite a few rentals already).I wish I had picked anywhere else to move to except here.All of our belongings now reek of cat piss smell, we are still living out of boxes without wifi (had to reschedule because we were locked out of the new address) and now we are being charged incorrectly. I went here to rent a patio home. They said it was $35 for the application fee. That was for each person, they also said the main person was the one they were going to do a credit check on. Well that was not the case. My credit was above the 650 score they required yet I was told it wasnt. Funny because a couple days later I checked it and it was 15 points higher. Unless you want to waste money I wouldnt go through them.

There has never been a time when we had questions or small new construction issues that weren’t addressed immediately by Sam. Sam is a great asset for this development and watches over everyone’s well being in a quiet well maintained development. The units are well built with a stylish modern design. The garage is an extra bonus that separates each living space that is a nice design feature for total separation of neighboring units. The back patio is great for grilling as well.Give them a look for sure!

As an overall property manager they are relatively reasonable and helpful the one piece of information I would like to provide feedback to all current and potential tenants is do not expect to receive any type of refund for your security deposit they are absolutely and completely unreasonable with bogus cleaning and repair charges that are charged at an astronomical rate. Be Very Careful.

They do their job well. It seems that I have to put in more effort than I should to get the rent amount due, as it changes frequently. Overall, they are OK but they are not a well oiled machine. Update: The property manager removed the late fees incurred when an Idaho Housing re-evaluation caused the rent due to increase by $1.00. I appreciate reasonable judgement... If you lock yourself out or have a water leak at night or on weekends, you will wait until regular business hours for service from them.

I can’t say enough HORRIBLE things about these people and their properties. Please look somewhere else. They are absolutely awful! Walk around the complex and ask and you will see how truly terrible they are. Go somewhere else. This is a last resort. And if you do, document everything. Record your walk through on your phone and record every conversation you have with their office. They are not smart, but they are conniving. Please don’t spend your money here.Please consider the 5 star reviews...do you use the word “freaking” and do you usually mention things that are important from a landlords perspective?They are derelicts...period. Give them your money at your own risk. They should be ashamed to be a business in this community. Thankful I moved away!!

Overall, my experience with Neighborhood Rentals has been extremely positive. Before renting with them I did read the reviews and was a little bit hesitant to go with them, especially as an out of state relocation - but I have been pleasantly surprised.Out of all of the property managers I contacted, only NR got back to me in a reasonable time frame. They kept in constant contact with me - especially since my turn around time from application to move in date was just one week. Their apartments arent over the top luxurious, but they have high quality materials, all of the amenities you need and are spacious and bright. While I do think their maintenance crew can be slow to respond to non-emergency tickets - theyve always responded with in the 3-day time frame that Idaho law requires. The manager of my specific building has always been super professional, caring and friendly (Tiffany, seriously, you are a rock star) and has always worked with me on every issue I have had (though they are few and far between because I am a very low maintenance tenant).To me, reading these reviews now - I have to ask: do any of these people understand the Idaho tenant laws? Do your research and read your freaking lease before you sign it. Idaho has very minimal protections for tenants, so dont sign something if you are not comfortable with that. I knew what I was getting into when renting in Idaho, and have been pleasantly surprised by the fact that many of the NR staff have gone above what they are required to do to assist me.

I have rented from this company on multiple occasions and have NEVER had any issues. I’ve been reading other reviews that are the exact opposite of my experience. I try my hardest to be an upstanding tenant and I feel as though it’s reciprocated with this property management company. I have always been taken care of when it comes to my maintenance requests. I have always paid my rent on time. I truly have no complaints.I feel as though these other negative reviews may be a reflection of the kind of tenants they may have been/are.10/10 would recommend this company to ANYONE and EVERYONE!!

Horrible landlords. I would never ever recommend renting from them. Document everything. They lie and will do anything to charge you more money. Everything is nickel and dimed. They didn’t ever take care of issues asked on initial walk through and then took my deposit for issues I asked addressed on initial walk through. I’ll be taking them to court. RENTERS BEWARE!!!!!!!My husband and I recently moved out of our basement apartment on 722 Garfield St Apt #2 in Idaho Falls. We applied to this apartment through My Neighborhood Rentals at a steal of a deal at $575 a month thinking it was an amazing price! We were not told, however, until months after we had signed the lease that our landlords were not their company but were our upstairs neighbors so they would be in control of our large security deposit. When we moved in, the place was a complete disaster. The whole place was dirty, greasy, and bug infested. On multiple occasions when Hunter and I were away for a few days, a “skunky” smell filled our apartment and made me feel like something “sketchy” was happening upstairs with our neighbors so husband and I had to leave our apartment and stay at my parents house in order to feel safe. On another handful of occasions I had to go warn my upstairs neighbors of them leaving on hoses and possibly flooding the basement (our apartment). Also, when we moved in, two of the heaters didn’t work in the apartment so we had to purchase a fireplace so we wouldn’t freeze throughout the winter. We bought all new light bulbs for the entire apartment as most of them were blown or about to be. We completely respected their rules for a quiet environment and a pet free home. We had the place professionally carpet cleaned per lease agreement and had my entire family come spend hours cleaning the apartment from top to bottom. I’ve always been taught to leave a place better than you found it, and we did just that! Just today I received a letter from our “landlords” spelling out not only all the damage we had done to their apartment and the fact that we would not be getting our deposit back (which they stated as much lower than what we actually paid) but also that my husband and I owe them another $495.00 for “repair” that they had to do to the apartment after we moved out!Long story short... be SURE to check out every little detail about your landlords and property before you agree to or sign anything! And please do not rent here! I know they have done this before and it would make me sick to see the people that I care about have to go through anything like this!

I was new to the area and found this place online. BUYER BEWARE! They are not good business people and their units were VERY poorly constructed. They offer the WORST customer service and I can’t wait to leave. I am a working professional with a good job and will do all that I can to get the word out about this shady business. It’s a shame that they couldn’t just do things the right way and treat people with respect. If you do decide to rent here: take pictures, document, ask to see your actual unit, be sure all communication is in writing, get security cameras, and whatever else you can think of to protect yourself. They are a sorry example of business in the area. Look elsewhere if you can. If you can’t, protect yourself at every opportunity! You’ve been warned...

Beware of the positive reviews you see below. They are likely from employees or people who have never lived in these apartments. If you can help if, DO NOT RENT FROM THESE PEOPLE. They are awful to deal with and extremely rude. The apartments are very poorly constructed and not well maintained and be sure you walk around the entire unit you plan to rent inside and out. False claims, terrible customer service, and just awful people. Spend your money elsewhere with people who actually care about others. You will regret living there...

Best place in town. They quickly got me into my home and were very easy to work with. They were very friendly and the maintenance crew was very quick at coming to fix the minor things that needed fixed. They have been very welcoming, friendly, and helpful anytime I have been in the office. I highly recommend them.

They are understanding and work with everyone to make things as easy as possible. The town house were in is very nice and accommodates our needs. Its been very frustrating this summer because theres a sprinkler leak in the front yard and maintenance has either deleted or marked off our service order without fixing the leak all summer. Our yard has small pools of water with algae covering the top. The bees and other insects have been constant living in our front yard marsh. We cant even let our dog outside because he tracks in the mud and algae. Didnt think Id be this annoyed and disappointed!

I am very disappointed with this rental management property in Idaho Falls. If I could give them zero stars I would. All they care about is receiving rental payments. Weve asked multiple times about maintenance issues, they dont get back to you quick. Took us 3 weeks to get a response. They have to abid by rules and regulations but obviously dont enforce it with the landlord. Shawna is not concerned with any of these issues, brushes them off and will make you feel like your not important. And she will put the blame and issues all on you. Plus will text you and not give you the professionalism to return your call. The only person that respected our concerns and understood us was the maintenance man. Im disappointed with the landlord they work for as well, what a shame. I am beyond frustrated with Rentmaster which is now called Neighborhood Rentals.

Never answer their phones, charge you extra fees constantly, and are never actually helpful or fix any problems you have. Dont waste your time renting with them. To start this companies old name was rent master and they went bankrupt cause they are so terrible. Take a look at those reviews too. Oh and if your place is filled with mold and aginst Idaho health codes they don’t care.. they say that is tenant responsibility and you can’t get out of your lease.This company has disappointed me in many ways. I was just informed on Friday night at midnight that our whole house which included our apartment was going to be fumigated on Monday morning for bed bugs. Our house has mold, ants and apparently bed bugs which they were not going to inform us about. We were told last night by a tenet they have had them for a month now and it’s spread to three out of the four apartments and they were all for warned 3 weeks ago this fumigation was going to be done. We were not.We have over 500 dollars worth of plants that I care for every day and our leasing office did not tell us anything about it ahead of time at all. Had my neighbors not warned me I would have been at home and all of my plants would be dead. Considering that the recommendation for plants even outside of the home within three feet of the building should be cut back so that the chemicals used don’t kill the plants entirely. The effects that it can take on the human body can be detrimental. Had I not been informed I would have either been home or forced to leave my home in short notice. This company has dropped the ball on communication, this being the worst of many occasions. Our entire apartment complex shares a ventilation system so if they were to only treat one apartment (which is not the case) it would spread to every single apartment through out the complex. We were told two weeks ago that they were going to do an inspection for pests but no reason behind it just a check up .. and no one showed up. I took a day off of work as of many that I’ve had to for no reason. They told me they were coming into my apartment with no response and not showing up, but they did not mention that anybody had bedbugs in the complex nor did they tell us we were going to be fumigating. I am completely out of trust for this company. I will be looking for other living situations as soon as possible. I would not recommend this company to anyone that I care about. If I could write this company zero stars I would.

I have had a great experience with Rentmaster! Its been over 3 years and have only been treated with respect and friendship. I find the office to be full of positive vibes and happy staff. When I pay rent, Ive watched their interactions with other tenants, and Im not the only one treated like long lost family members. I am so pleased! We rented out our property by ourselves for three years, and found we are just not cut out to be landlords! Our tenants moved out a week late, after June, 2016. We were worried about having a vacancy. Rentmaster found us a new, high-quality tenant by July 1. Their expertise helped us get some issues solved with the property in a quick manner, so we had it ready for re-rental. Thank you for the smooth transition, Rentmaster! After managing our own rental property for 4 years and having a string of awful renters, we battled about whether or not to turn it over to a property management company. We have been renting with Rent Masters since Sept 2014 in our first apartment. I like how friendly the staff is on the phone and when I need to go into the office. I have had little maintenance that needed to be done in my apartment and it has always been fixed in a reasonable manner. If I were asked to rate Rent Masters I would give them a five star. Truly the worst and I’ve lived in 3 different states. it’s gotten 100% worse not gonna lie if they see an animal in your yard when they drive by your getting charged and that’s their quote. The worst company I’ve ever had the displeasure of renting through wouldn’t recommend to my worst enemy.

I have been very impressed with Rentmaster Property Management. I moved into my apartment in June. The process of paperwork was quick and they were very helpful with any questions. I also have been impressed when it comes to appliances breaking down. Two different times I had things break down and the next day someone was over to fix them. Whenever, I go into make my payment the staff there are very friendly and ask how things are and if I need anything.

I wouldnt rent a dog house from this management company. This is the same company as rent masters. Their maintenance is a joke, or non existent. They dont care about their tenates just the owners. They dont know law or code here in Idaho. Ask them a real question and they have to get back to you once they talk to the owner. Things I delt with for years. 1 a puddle in my basement that never went away, mold steadily growing, paint chipping inside and outside cracked foundation that flooded the basement every year. Trees way overgrown and collapsing on vehicles. I feel bad for Sasha great woman at heart but has to follow what these freaking devils tell her to say.

If i could put zero stars i would. Cockroaches infested in apartment build ing. Property Manager said just put traps out and deal with it. Huge heath hazard. He should deal with it. NO rent from us. Health department can deal with him.. Not happy with his attitude. No excuses just clean the apartments and fumigate. The apartment was filthy.

I reported to this company on day one of moving into their rental that it had a leaking toilet. After almost two years of renting with this company, notifying them of the leaking toilet several times throughout almost two years, it still was never fixed. I would be told it would be fixed, arrange a time, and no one would show up. I lost out on wages several times due to this. On top of maintenance that literally doesnt exist (and I have written proof of this), we were continually stood up during their semi-annual MANDATORY inspections that they will NOT re-schedule to work around your life/work schedule. I would again take time off work (because they refuse to work out a time that works for both parties involved) for someone to fail to show up. Lost wages again and NO apologies. I get life happens and things must be rescheduled but first, consider the other parties schedule and secondly, when you refuse to work around their schedule and fail to show up, FRICKEN APOLOGIZE. Instead, I would hear NOTHING until they would attempt to force another mandatory inspection. I have never been treated as though I am not a human being until I rented through this company. Worst mistake of my life but thankfully, it is mostly over now. All that matters is the company, not the tenant. So, I finally got sick of it and chose to buy a home and free myself of this disrespect. I gave a proper notice and I am now waiting on a deposit refund over 30 days later. The property was left in excellent condition, rent paid on time every month and I get treated with complete disrespect. I have worked with several property management companies and I always have an excellent reference in them when looking for another rental. I am a great tenant and this is by far the worst company I have EVER had to work with. If anything I hope this review will save someone from going through the hell I have gone through with this company. I never write reviews or give poor feedback but this company gets away with bullying people and I for one do not like a bully. I am now having to write a threatening letter demanding my deposit refund because anything verbal will not be honored and being polite with anyone at this company doesnt get you anywhere. I have called asking twice now for my deposit. I waited until after the legal 30 days that they have to provide it (according to Idaho code/statutes) and both times when calling I am lied to and informed it will be done today. Save yourself from the continual disrespect, disappointment, lies, rent hikes on a rental where they allowed holes in carpet, graffiti, missing doors, missing door knobs, missing light fixtures, exposed electrical, etc and choose NOT to rent through this company. I would opt for being homeless before EVER going back. I would encourage a close friend or family member to be homeless because at least that way, you can feel better avoiding these bullies who have no respect for anyone who they can no longer drain money from and save your money for something/someone deserving of it.

IDK how you people sleep at night. You screw people over for damage that isnt done by them. Some of your guys property is so bad that they should literally by condemned. While you place the blame on ex tenants instead of yourselves and the insubstantial help you get someone could be dying; but all you guys care about is getting ahead and screwing over people who have no choice but to live in your crappy properties. You guys are terrible people and should feel ashamed of yourselves. Piece of crap slumlords. It took you 2mo to fix our AC while my toddler and I roasted in that crappy little trailer. Then when it got child much earlier than usually it took you 8 weeks to fix the furnace. We were told for weeks that someone will come out and assess the situation. Really? It took them over a month on several occasions for ANYTHING to be addressed. The people you hire to do handiwork for you are some of the laziest pieces of crap. They care more about picking up their new laptop. Not the family freezing at night with space heaters and the oven as the only sources of heat when it is near or below freezing. This is how you guys treat people... Your BBB grade is a low as it can be. I hope someone gets one over on you guys one of these times and you guys go out of business.

We were looking for rentals and when we were in the office they were not welcoming and almost hesitant to help. This was a couple months ago but I definitely felt like they didnt want us there. One property we visited had roaches outside the apartment, this was an apartment that was accessed inside a building, Im sure there were some inside too. The roaches was a big turn off. The other property looked run down. Needless to say, we went somewhere else for rentals.

If youre looking to find an apartment to rent Id advise you search elsewhere other than rentmaster. Their onsite laundry facility is poorly kept and its machines are constantly experiencing problems. Ive been having a terrible time with rentmaster so from personal experience Id recommend searching elsewhere for renting opportunities.

I’m so disappointed in how professional the Idaho Falls office workers were towards me today. I went in to ask for some keys to see an apartment and they were VERY unwelcoming towards me and literally tossed the keys towards me and rushed me so someone else could look at the apartment. Once I returned with the keys, nobody cared to ask if we were interested in renting the unit or how we liked it. I can honestly say that I will avoid these unprofessional jerks and rent elsewhere.

Refused to fix a furnace in a mobile home from January until Arpil of 2011. Had small children in the home. Didnt flinch. Somehow they weasled their way with suing my wife. A bunch of crock! Worst place to rent from..... If you have small kids.

While customer service was a little rough when we first began our time with rentmaster (one of the owners was a snarky old lady with a hard to read sense of humor... gruff but funny if you got to know her), in the last year (since the ownership change I believe) they have been extremely reliable in addressing our concerns, and the folks in the office are warm and receptive. Theyve been great in passing concerns and questions along to the landlord, and going into the office isnt anywhere near as intimidating as it used to be. I think as long as you have reasonable expectations as a tenant, namely that you know you need to pay your rent on time or pay a small fine, that repairs may take a couple days to handle, and understand that the agency cant give out special treatment to everyone, then you should have no trouble with rentmaster.Update: its now 2020, we are still renting the same location from what is now neighborhood rentals. They continue to be extremely reliable with maintenance issues, usually getting back to us on the same day. weve had trouble in the last year always meeting our rent on time and they have been wonderful and being willing to work with us. While I havent seen all of their properties, I can say that for us they have been wonderful.

Horrible service to customers. Took them 2 days to come and look at a broken refrigerator. Needless to say all food was spoiled. Finally got a replacement, and that one broke as well. $200 in groceries gone bad and they laughed at us when we asked if they could reimburse us for that. Very unprofessional.

HORRIBLE SERVICE!! I went into Rentmaster today to resolve a claim that I had. Instead of helping me resolve the claim they laughed in my face and told me I was stupid. The reason I went in was to try and get reimbursed for $200 worth of food that I had go bad due to a broken fridge and lack of response. It took them 3 days to bring a new fridge. That fridge was also broken and as a result more food went bad. They told me they were not going to just fork out money to help me with any of it.I WILL NEVER RENT WITH RENTMASTER AGAIN! And you shouldnt either!

Never rent threw these people I never do this but fed up the land owner switched to rent master mId contract and its been horrible I live the house and the neighborhood but to get these people to do there job is a joke we had a new toilet put in a month ago it has leaked since being put it we cant use it at ll called them almost daily to have it fixed to no avail now the bathtub will not drain still nothing from them absolutely worst renting experience Ive ever had.
