This place isnt bad. The only thing I dislike is how they barely listen to people. I rate the service an 8.3 the freedom a 9.9.

Bad Experience - Robin Rents Huntsville North offers a 9 chipper rented for 8 hours of machine run time over a weekend. During hook up was told, ...it must be fed slowly, give it breaks between limbs. Used it 30 minutes, shut it off. During second 30 minute use, it began to smoke from the internal grinding wheel. Returned to store and was told they had no replacement and it would be a few days before they could look at it. After that they offered a refund of 65$ on a $261 rental. We attempted to negotiate a fair and equitable compromise but RR insisted we inserted green wood into the unit and would not provide another chipper for the remaining run time. There is no dispute to that fact, we cut tree limbs and fed them into the unit slowly, per their direction. Be advised, apparently wood chippers rented from Robin Rents are not to be used with fresh cut wood. This is not my first rental from Robin but it is my last; too many instances of poor customer service for my business.Update: After speaking with Anthony, the sales manager, RR North will be providing a 12 inch chipper for the remaining run time of our original rental, which is what we asked for originally. Anthony was professional and explained that the front desk folks should not have rented the 9 inch chipper for fresh cut wood and that they should have offered another chipper or a full refund initially. As of now, I’m bumping them to 3 stars for the management follow up and will consider another bump after the weekend.Final Update: Anthony delivered as promised and the 12 inch chipper performed flawlessly. I’m going to raise the rating to 5 stars based on the follow up service and support, but would still advise to stay away from the older 9 inch chipper unless your wood has been on the ground for several weeks first. Based on Anthony’s actions, I will rent from RR North again in the future.

Rented on Saturday at 10 for a weekend rental on an excavator. My fault in that I should have checked the weather. It started raining non stop Saturday about two hours into the job and it had not quit raining by Sunday morning when I returned the equipment. I have a huge muddy mess still sitting that I couldnt even come close to finishing. On return I asked the guy at the front desk if there is any way I could get a discount on a rental next weekend so I can finish the job because anything helps and he said no. I understand its not their fault, I should have checked the weather (4 of rain) so Its on me but on the flip side its not like I actually got to use their equipment that much and a good business practice would have been to at least give 10% off the next rental on a $327 bill. I spent more time with a hose pipe washing the mud off of the thing (it was spotless) for return than I did using it. All in all the people were courteous and it would have been a 5 star rating with a little understanding from the business but now I will definitely check out the competition when they open up 1/2 mile away.

I called them Sunday and left voice message about renting a tamper Never got a call back on the next day, Monday. Needed to level my freshly graveled driveway before the rain. Thank goodness the county came by that morning after I left them a message Sunday. Kudos to District 1 County.

Rentals where cheap and great if u rent on Saturday

Great customer service! Good prices as well. They have coupons on their website, make sure and check them out! The tiller I rented worked great. The guys at the shop.did all the work as they loaded and unloaded for me. They dont wear masks in here, fyi, and they didnt this time last year when I rented; if uncomfortable with that, probably dont want to go here.

We use robin rents for all of our rental needs. They almost always have what we need and if they dont they do their best to get it. We are content with what we get and will definitely continue business with these fine folks

Good service.... was raining the day I was set to receive a skid steer with bush hog. They called me and asked if I’d like to reschedule. No fees or anything. I took the machine on a Friday instead and got it for the weekend for the same price as a one day... same deal that UR offers.

WHAT THEY DONT TELL YOU WILL COST YOU!I reserved a storage unit online and was told that it was a $30 unit reserved in my name I just needed to show up and pay for it. I went to the facility and Gee Whiz! They didnt have any of the $30 units available! They could get me a $45 unit however. No kind of a break on price since they baited and switched. I paid it on the 15 of the month. I got a late notice about 2and a half weeks later even though I had paid for a full month.THEY DIDNT TELL ME THAT I LOST 2WEEKS RENTAL. All payments are due on the first day of the month. Meaning if you rent the 25 you pay for a full month but only get 5 days.I was charged a late fee of $15. They were the cheapest option when I searched for storage space. In the end the space has cost far more than the other places. I WOULD AVOID DEALING WITH ROBIN RENTS. What looks like a good deal will actually cost far more.

I have rented several large pieces of equipment from Robin Rents on Meridian St over the past couple of years - the most recent rental was a large ditch witch this past week - each time they took time to walk me through how to operate the equipment, it was ready for pick up as planned, the equipment worked and the Customer Service was outstanding - Shanika is the person I have worked with the most on the front counter and Roy is the gentleman that handles my equipment returns. I could not ask for better service and I will continue to use them for all of my rental equipment needs

Was in such a rush to get me out they forgot to put/give me attachment to hold pad on bottom of floor scrubber. Had to come back and get it and no apology or nothing., Thanks alot.

This company was not willing to work with us when a situation, outside of our control, resulted in equipment being “stolen.” We were strong armed into paying 4,000 for used equipment!! It appeared to be an inside job and we feel like we were given an unfair, raw deal!!! Be careful because the hide behind the “Fine Print!”

Helpful staff but their equipment is wore slap out. Be careful when you rent and take pictures of the equipment before you leave with it.

Me and a buddy rented a car dolly to tow his vehicle home, the fuel pump went bad on the Arsenal.We rented a car dolly and come alongTheir rental equipment is in terrible condition and the workers don’t seem to try to take care of any of it.They couldn’t find the bolt to keep the ramp up also the ratchet straps kept coming loose we had to stop every couple of miles to re-secure the vehicle.The come-along we rented with the dolly was in really poor shape too, we had to hold the locking lever down to ensure it would catch the gears otherwise we would lose all of our progress.Also, after getting the vehicle on the dolly we noticed the tires looked very flat. When we took a pressure gauge to it (after removing the vehicle) they were at 25 PSI.In short, these guys really need to overhaul their rental equipment, their dolly left us in a really bad position and turned an easy tow into a nervous 20 mile trip.

When i pickup the 61 bad boy mower and trailer the guys were nice polite and friendly I give them 5 stars.I give the mower 2 stars it cuts great and fast, could use the blades sharpened but 2 stars because it almost killed me. The only way you can stop the mower is with the control bars and the right one came close fell forward and the mower took me under a tree limb which almost knocked me out then crashed into my fence before i could get it stopped. When i called this morning march 30, 2020 to have the equipment picked up because my truck broke down the man was short, rude and thought it was funny when i told him about the mower control bar . I give him 0 stars.I received a call from the store manager around july 1st he was every sorry for the way the employee treated me and the lack of concern for my wellbeing. I told him it has been over 3 months im over it. He advised the employee has been let go due the his treatment of customers including me. Im sorry he had to loss his job as a result of his lack of respect and compassion. As i stated before all the other guys are great it was just that one and the mower . I have rented from them since the issue and will again.

I reserved a small storage unit because the price was $30 a month. When i got there they didnt have any small$30 storage units. How i was able to reserve it i dont know. I had gone way out on the edge of the other side of town for this bargain. It was cold and rainy. I didnt want to continue the search so i too what was available. No no it wasnt less it was $45 a month. This is called bait and switch.Reserving a unit online is no guarantee you will get the unit you reserved.

Beware this business will charge you your agreed amount of rental fee of $604 and in my case charge me an additional $860 when they come out and pick it up for a total of $1,464. I will NEVER rent from this place again! Trust me, look somewhere else to rent equipment!!!

The Meridian location used to be awesome, but it appears that there is new mgmt with a new hard line. The lift we rented would not operate the basket, the hydraulic fluid did not register on the sight glass, so we added the fluid. Then it seemed to operate properly then when we drove it to site it worked for 1 hour then it died and could not operate the hydraulic pump. This occurred at approx 1030 on Friday, the stated we needed to bring it in for them to service and check it out. Their findings were that the batteries were dead, and the hydraulic fluid was over filled. Obviously we had scheduled a full day of work for Friday, which was lost. To make matters worse the manager indicates that it is our fault that the lift battery died, (battery meter in the Green), and he will only let use it for 4 hours without charge. We did use it the whole day, and he charged an additional 4 hours.........I hope the $200 was worth it.

Stephanie has some of the worst customer service skills imaginable. Not very informative about the equipment and dry attitude is not cute. The guys in the back are great, but the 2 up front are a joke. talking bad about customers and other store managers......DONT EVER GO HERE.TRY UNITED RENTALS or ROCKET CITY RENTALS....😣

Horrible customer service and prices qouted are not the price that charge--they kill you with fees for everything. The guys in the back are great, but the people running the place dont have the people skills to be tax collectors. HIGHLY RECOMEND RIVER CITY EQUIPMENT OR UNITED RENTAL. Of course, this is just based off of my opinions having only rented one piece of equipment one time--miscommunication that piece broke down while I had it on rent causing me to have it fixed for which the nice folks at Robin Rents didnt even say thanks.

This location owes me a $148 refund for deposit made in equipment rented there. They refuse to pay the refund.

Was expensive $3 part but $15 shipping and it was going to take them over a week to order a part that I could have gotten next day ordering online.

We rented a skid steer and 2 attachments over a weekend to put in an arena at our home. The rentals were due back Monday morning, my husband had a situation come up with work so he called to see if it would be okay if he brought it back later in the day than 8, he was told that would be fine. He gets there just before 1 and he is told he will be charged the whole day for Monday for the skid steer and both attachments. My husband left ticked. I called and spoke to the manager to see if there was anything he could do, even said I’d be willing to pay half. Again, my husband called and got verbal confirmation to bring it back late. Manager said he would have to talk to the owner and get back to me. He never has even after leaving 3 messages for him to return my call. We were charged for the whole day. Talk about poor customer service and management. I’m beyond disappointed and will never use their services again.
