I don’t trust many people with my buddies Hardy, Grady, Bengi and Shelly but I do trust the professionals at Pennington. I have never felt pressured or guilt-ridden into services they didn’t require. With five pets, four of which live inside the home, we need the best care at the most affordable price and we get it here.
Set up care for 4 month old puppy and VERY pleased with every aspect of the experience. The receptionist was polite and seemed well versed with services offered. The 2 techs we interacted with were gentle and seemed to enjoy their jobs. Dr Pennington was very thorough and spent around 45 minutes with us, went over a lot of information and gave me enough time to ask questions. We will be utilizing their dog bathing and nail trimming services monthly - that is how nice the experience of the first visit went. 7am to 6 pm weekdays and Saturday hours allow flexibility. They obtained medical records from the rescue vet as well, which was convenient. Highly recommend!
The receptionists, vet techs, and Dr. Pennington could not be more compassionate and helpful! Transitioning to a new vet was stressful but they made it SO easy and were so welcoming and kind. They genuinely care about your animals and will make sure every question/concern is answered. Couldnt say enough about how great this vet is!!!
We have used Pennington for decades, from our six pound cat to our 180 pound Great Dane and all the critters in between. They are always responsive and helpful and dont push unnecessary treatments. They do a great job of keeping the animals happy for their age bracket. We just adopted our 4th dog in almost 30 years and there was no question hed be going to see Harry and Wendy.
Dr. Harry and his staff do an excellent job at keeping your dog healthy and protected. Dr. Harry keeps very good notes about your dog. I have taken my dog to him for the past 7 years. I have not had the pleasure of working directly with Dr. Wendy as she is mainly the cat veterinarian. The staff is always very sweet and attentive.Thank you Penningtons for caring for our dogs!
Dr. Wendy and Dr. Harry have been caring for our fur babies for many years. They have taken excellent care of our many pets and I trust them implicitly with the treatment of our fur babies. It isnt easy to diagnose animals that cant communicate a lot and owners who may be imperfect communicating their observations. There are other good places to take pets, but I am very happy with and appreciate the Penningtons compassionate care.
Not being from Huntsville when wondering about a new place I always relied on google reviews. I felt like the staff here always went above and beyond and wanted to brag on them a little bit. So this maybe long. We first started taking our sweet Honey girl to this vet. She was a well mannered loving dog that was easy to take care of. Later on we added Badger he is very loyal to us but worried about people he doesn’t know. We took him to Pennington as a pup for shots but later on took him to a different vet to be fixed because they were running specials. That was a terrible idea and made us love Pennington even more. Having a dog who is not people friendly you’d think this other vet would know how to handle cases like him. This other vets office that wasn’t Pennington was so rude to me when picking Badger up they called him aggressive and he can be if he is provoked. Later on I took badger back to Pennington for a check up and told them about my event at this other vet and they took precautions not knowing how’d he act (muzzled him) and I was okay with that because I didn’t want anyone to get hurt. After being there for a minute with the muzzle on the Dr felt he wasn’t a threat and took it off and guess what? He did fine they were so good with him and understood his behavior. The veterinarians treat your pets with love. When moving to Guntersville we sadly lost our sweet girl Honey. Pennington emailed me reminding me it was time for honeys check up and I informed them that she had pasted. Today I received a letter in the mail just showing how much they care. It stated that they made a donation to the Morris Animal Foundation in her name. These people don’t just go to work and go home they truly care about you and your pet. Thank you for everything. -Chelsey
I’ve been using Pennington Animal Hospital for about 6 months. They’ve treated my dog and me with respect and concern. The staff has been friendly, responsive, and knowledgeable. I really like the doctors and they’ve given my dog excellent care.
Both of my dogs were and continue to be cared for and loved at Pennington. Their staff is excellent and the vet really cares for your animals. I highly recommend Pennington. Their boarding service is excellent as well.
Im very happy with the care that my dog has received for the last 5 years. My dog also enjoys their boarding services and seems happy and smelling fresh when I pick him up. The staff is very caring and friendly. I would definitely recommend Pennington Animal Hospital to anyone looking for a veterinarian.*Note: I have the same last name but Im not related to the owners of PAH.
I took my cat in to be neutered and have his front de-clawed. I was very impressed with the level of care my cat received. They were so helpful and informative. I could tell they had my pets best interest at heart. The staff at the front desk are very professional and its a pleasure to work with their office.
We have been using Pennington Animal Hospital since they first opened. Dr. Harry and Dr. Wendy are alway compassionate and professional. They have expanded the practice several times and always hire very caring staff members. Their facility is always clean and comfortable.
Really amazing vet - super friendly staff, great prices, and they really care about the animals! Definitely glad to have found such a great place to take our dogs here in Huntsville!
Really great people and really great VET! They all care about peoples pets and always explain every option to you.
Criminally negligent thieves. My partner and I have been followers of Dr. Wendy since we first adopted our cat, Lucca in 2002. For over 13 years we took our beloved pets to the Penningtons and trusted them completely. Last week Lucca began showing signs of lethargy, she wasnt eating, and had lost a great deal of weight. We rushed her in and the vet on duty informed us that Lucca had a mass inside her, but their facility lacked an ultrasound machine which is crucial to make a diagnosis. The only option Penningon gave me was to take her to a practice in Nashville, TN, where an ultrasound could be performed for, at their estimation around $1000. The cost of this advice and 2 x rays? $462.50.After calling a few other vets, I found another one, in Huntsville who gave Lucca a comprehensive diagnostic ultrasound at cost of $88. Sadly we found she was suffering from cancer, but in their estimation it had been growing for years and could have been discovered through a physical exam, which he said was routine in his practice. Lucca never missed a shot and never missed her physical exams with Dr. Pennington. This, coupled with their inadequate facility leads me to believe they seriously compromised both my pocketbook and my cats quality of life.SHAME ON YOU DR. WENDY.
Best receptionists ever!!!
