I brought my Lucy in for what appeared to me as a seizure, which she was in fact having, but due to her getting into my sisters recreational medicine… I of course was completely embarrassed and felt like the worst dog mom in the whole wide world and just knew in my overdramatic mind, that they were going to call some kind of doggie protection services or something of that sort. She ended up having to spend the night here and get IV antibiotics, special fluids, and antidote to the marijuana. They did not call any DHR like services for my pup to my relief (lol) and made it obvious they were not judging me at all. They took such great care of my pup girl and she came out of there almost back to her completely normal self again. I can’t thank Dr. Gaub and the techs that took care of her enough for helping my girl through her visions of white elephants and alien heads ❤️

My cat was running some sort of fever. I drove an hour away since they were the only place open on a Sunday. After getting a quick check up, the only thing they were able to do is give him a shot to keep the fluids out so he could breathe better.Welp.. not too long afterwards he started drooling. His breath getting more and more short. Thinking that he wasn’t going to make it on the way home. He did however.. but not much long after that. He collapsed on the ground, peed the floor, fluid running out of his mouth and had what seemed to be a heart attack of sorts. Sadly.. he didn’t make it.I don’t know if it’s what they gave him, but I will say that it was one of the saddest things I’ve ever had to witness in my entire life. I’m not blaming them on what happened, but it could’ve very well contributed to the sudden cause. Rip Levi, you were an amazing cat

Amazing experience! The staff here are so efficient and caring I was extremely pleasantly surprised. My little puppy was ill and I brought him in on a Sunday afternoon. I waited 10 minutes, if that, before they took my Gizmo in and within another 5 minutes they called me back and asked a few questions. A few minutes later I spoke with Dr. Baxter (I think that was his name) who was quick and thorough and answered all my questions. I was in and out with Gizmo and his prescriptions within 45 minutes. I was concerned about the cost of an emergency visit on a Sunday but it was surprisingly affordable! Thank you all so much! Y’all rock!

My dog was vomitting and having problems breathing. So, I went here and it was the middle of the day. I guess it was for animals that had eye problems. There were no other animals there to be seen. Though my dog was breathing better, I would think a dog having respiratory problems would have been a priority. I waited 30 minutes and left with 3 prescriptions for vomiting, antacid, and antibiotics in case there was something else going on. This was a $466 bill. The vet was thourough was she was seen and that is the only reason I gave it a 3 star.

We took a kitten in to see the vet because some children had purposely smashed it in the door. As a foster for a rescue, we unfortunately see things like this often. People reach out to us for help and will not see a vet due to lack of funds. Back legs and tail were flaccid, this kitten is approximately 5-6 weeks old. They did nothing, they never once came to speak with me, NOTHING. I will never take another animal to this vet. A complete waste of time and money!

We used the clinic in a emergency for our puppy, he had broken his leg and needed vet services and our local vet was closed. We arrived there about 6pm and spent the next several hours waiting to be seen and waiting on some answers to his injuries. At about 11pm we were finally wrapping everything up. During our time there we were given a estimate for service and reluctantly agreed to let them proceed the estimate was for $777.00 and some change for X-rays, pain management, blood work and a splint. We left feeling like we were overcharged for the services and we still needed to get our puppy to our regular vet the next day. They patched our puppy up but we felt the stay was way too long and was over priced

Absolutely the worst place to take your beloved pets even in an emergency. The front office staff were friendly and Dr. Gaub certainly was too however I feel they lacked experience and unnecessarily rushed into an extreme case scenario with my puppy. Told there was a sock in his intestine with vomiting and after $3000 and emergency surgery there was zero sock and no answers. During discharge a tech brought him out to me and literally gave zero information leaving us befaffled. After asking to speak with an office manager the doctor in clinic spoke with me at first with a very strong attitude like I was bothering her wanting to know what was going on with my puppy. She did eventually get the chip Off her shoulder and speak kindly but at what cost? I had already paid for the hack job they did and will never go back. Our regular vet feels they hastily rushed unnecessarily. They are about the money and put my 6 month old puppy at risk. Save yourself some aggravation and go somewhere else.

I posted this back in May! I will continue to keep posting so this will not get buried. For the sake of your beloved pet, please make sure if you visit this clinic you ask many questions and get as much information as possible, we TRUSTED not one but TWO different vets and made a grave mistake doing so. We suffered a great loss that profoundly impacted our daughter due to the traumatic events surrounding our dogs death, it was a tragic death that COULD have been avoided. There were several mistakes made that caused Belle death, mistakes we have spent months researching. We will continue to warn as many as possible so sweet Belle Dogs death has some meaning. While there may be kind, compassionate, amazing doctors at this clinic, we unfortunately didnt have them.Do NOT use this clinic! Our 3 year old Golden Retriever died because of medication or “something” that was missed after a visit for a broken toe on her right back paw she was given Carprofen (Rimydal) for pain. 3 days later she was sick throwing up. We made an appointment for our vet the next morning however, that night she started throwing up blood. Rushed her back to the ER clinic. They didn’t run blood work, didn’t do X-rays basically gave my husband stomach meds and a shot charged another $370.00 at this point we are at $1000.00. She seemed better then the next day started getting very sick. Took her to our vet had X-rays ran. Vet noted something in stomach (possible ulcer) needed additional testing to be performed by specialist next day. Given another shot. All agreed a possibility that she could have had a reaction to the pain medication. But since NO ONE ran blood work we don’t know. Later that night she was sleeping and suddenly stopped breathing my husband and 14 year old daughter rushed her back to this clinic and it was too late. She died. Only explanation “ her lungs filled with fluid”. No I’m sorry for your loss. Nothing. I was out of state taking care of my sick mother and didn’t even get to say goodbye to my sweet dog. Seems that money is the driving force at this clinic. We are devastated and have since been told that blood work should have been run on our dog immediately. Needless to say we’ve changed vet’s and will NEVER return to this clinic. Please for the sake of your fur babies think twice before going to this clinic. They have $1000.00 and we have a broken heart!

We took our 6yo Beagle mix to AECC after a fall. She had no use of her back legs. Her records were sent over from her regular Vet. She does have a warning label on her chart because she is aggressive at the vet. And this time she was in extreme pain. After staying for 36 they sent her home with pain meds and referred her to a neurologist. The MRI was going to be $3500 and they didn’t even know if anything could be done to help her. We decided to wait. The next night we back. The extreme pain had returned and still no use of the back legs at this point they put her on morphine to manage pain and brought up the subject of euthanasia. She also told me that she was permanently paralyzed. She had only been injured for 3 days. We were not ready to discuss this. She stayed another 20 hours. A different vet called to check in with me and she asked what our “long term plans” were. I said I just want to bring her home. She too brought up the subject of euthanasia. When I went to pick her up, no one spoke to me. They put her in her crate and rushed us out the door because I’m sure she had been a problem. We brought her home and consulted with her regular vet for pain management. It’s been 13 days. She is now weaning off of pain meds and WALKING.**Edit** 4/6/21 I would like to say that they did take care of managing Sophie’s pain.

I left knowing how to care for him with excellent knowledge of the medications prescribed. I highly recommend Animal Emergency Clinic for emergency pet needs & will definitely use them again should the need arise.

On behalf of my wife, Kara Goos.On Sept 3, 2020 around 8pm I brought my dog in due to an injury to his back. As I walk in the reception saw I was carrying my dog who could no longer walk in, and proceeded to say just fill this outta they handed me the papaerwork. Not offering a room or to have a seat she just expected me to set my dog down. Once the paper work was filled out I waited in the lobby when the technician came out, got the info he needed and took my dog back for the exam. When the doctor came out she was extremely rude. Proceeded to tell me that even though he had a back injury it didn’t sign the death warrant.i let her know I understand that but at the same time our family did not have the financial means to have our dog go through surgery. She talk real fast about what she wanted to do and not elaborate on anything. When the technician came out again to go over the estimate it turned into $1800, I let him no we could not spend that much so we settled for exam, xrays, two pain medication injections and prednisone to go home. After waiting 3 hours for the X-ray the doctor came out and gave his diagnosis, unfortunately is was not good, invertebral disc disease, the doctor said the disc had not ruptured and if it did he is either going to be even more paralyzed(which he couldn’t get even more paralyzed) or he could possibly, slim chance start getting function in his back legs again or we could opt for surgery at another facility. As stated before we could not afford surgery, so she said to cage rest him and if he did not show any improvement after 4 days, she would recommend euthanasia. The doctor would not let us euthanize him that night, wanted to give him a chance. After settling the $445 bill they brought out my dog. He was in so much pain, we did not get sent home with any pain medication and instead got told if it seemed like he was in pain we could call our normal vet to prescribe something. Once he was home he was in so much pain that he could not even lay down, he sat with his head sticking straight up to the sky. We could not let him stay like this all night wait For the vet to open in the morning, in 7 hours. We made the heartbreaking decision to euthanize at another facility because I did not feel comfortable having this facility euthanize my dog. I am all for giving an animal a fighting chance but this dog gave my dog a suffering fighting chance. Looking back if I had the chance again, I would of left after having the doctor do the exam, the front desk staff sat and gossiped, the doctor had no bedside manner. We felt like since we were not going to pay this huge vet bill the doctor decided to wash her hands of helping my dog. The only good experience I had was the technician, he was very kind, carried my dog out for me and seem to have sympathy, I will never go back to the emergency vet and would not recommend it. I have been in the animal field for over 5 years, and I am not saying I know it all because I don’t but you can’t not tell me that it was ok to send an animal home in so much pain that they couldn’t even lay down. We do not feel we should have to pay for the so called “care” we received.

Was very professional and efficient. My dog was a little over medicated but finally came out of it. Extremely expensive. I appreciated them .

The very rude vet suggested a $300 x-ray for what turned out to be an abscess. They noted no signs of blood or bites when there was a puncture wound and blood Im the carrier.

I dont remember exactly what day I came in, but it was undoubtedly right at my regular vets closing time as the weekend started- my senior cat knew to have a medical episode at the precise moment when itd be the longest possible time before her evil doc opened again. So, we came to Animal Emergency & Critical Care (AE&CC) with some trepidation- my cat wondering how a clinic could be open 24/7, and me wondering how expensive itd be. In the end, it wasnt that expensive. Doc Paula patiently gave us options for treatment, and was honest with the possible outcomes. If I had Scrooge McDuck money, obviously thered be no harm in keeping her there overnight. But Paula let me know that shed be just as fine going home, and I could bring her back in if needed. Ive been at another clinic on the east coast that made me feel like I was basically signing my cats death-cert if I didnt keep him at their clinic overnight for $2k- I listened to my gut and he survived just fine.AE&CC were understanding that although owners place a lot of emphasis on their pets health, there are simply limits to the amount of $$ that can be spent, and they didnt show disapproval at my needing to take time to weigh my options. Paula and tech Cat patiently listened to all of my concerns and really leveled with me, and I didnt feel like just some random client that would be gone/forgotten after the hour. This was especially noticeable when someone else brought in their pet with a much more serious trauma-condition. My cat was in clear pain, but that other animal very well wouldnt survive the night. AE&CC were able to handle both cases with the appropriate attention at the same time, with neither suffering more due to who came first or who was in more pain. That probably impressed me the most.I really, really hope to not have to come back for emergency care, but if I have to, I definitely would take my cat to AE&CC again.

I had what felt like an emergency over the weekend with my cat. She had been in labor for over 12 hours, with only two births at that point (according to the internet, very bad) and she was starting to spot blood. I rushed to the clinic. I can say I was a bit upset that the person that let me in told me the receptionist would be back in a few minutes, but go on an fill out the paperwork. I was panicked over my cat and it didnt seem too important. However, the receptionist came back and before she really even got comfortable at her desk - we were being called back to a room. So, even though it didnt seem as if they were doing anything, we were still being processed through.I did feel as if they thought I was crazy over her labor being so long, but I didnt worry until there was blood. They took an x-ray to let me know how many more kittens to expect. I honestly felt better after the x-ray and being told how much longer it could actually be.Happily, I got her home and within three hours, the other four were born. We lost only two out of the litter. Mom and babies are good. The really great thing that made me happy was that they called me tonight just to check to see how she was doing. I appreciated that even though I may not have needed to take her in, they still called me back to check on her.

Extremely overpriced. $109 for office visit was reasonable but $175 for 2 meds. Antibiotics which was too weak and meloxicam. About 1 ounce of each. Went to my vet this morning and meds was $24 for much stronger antibiotics. You better be sure before you take your dog to this clinic.
