The staff and service at Oak Ridge Dental Arts is wonderful. I came in with dental visit anxiety and can now say that with the help of the team, I no longer have that anxiety. Dr. Allred did an incredible job showing patience and understanding and really listening to my needs.I have just this month completed my Invisalign treatment with fantastic results that I am very happy with. I would strongly recommend Oak Ridge Dental Arts in Huntersville to anyone I know, including family!

I would give this business a Zero star rating if that was available. We have been patients at Oak Ridge Dental for about 5 years. If you are needing cleaning or some x-rays, they have got you covered. If you are needing anything other than that, run as fast you can to another dentist. My experience was that my 17 year old son had a cavity that needed to be filled. The dentist drilled out too much of the tooth, so much so that when he filled the cavity, he laid the filling directly on top of the nerve. It took a little while for the infection to pop up but when it did, the damage that was done due to the negligence of the dentist on his tooth/root/nerve caused him to have an infection in his entire left side of his jaw under the gum. He was in so much pain. Before we were able to do any work on this teeth to rectify the situation, the other dentist that we took him to had to drill a hole in the center of his tooth to relieve the abscess and let the jaw drain. After waiting another week to try to heal the infection, he went on to have to have a root canal and a crown placed on that tooth. This practice and their dentist are totally unqualified to perform any dentistry procedure that needs to be done outside of regular cleaning. To top it all off, they said that my insurance co-pay was going to be a little over $1500 for the root canal and crown (that they caused!!). The new dentist that I took him to only charged me $139 out of pocket for the same procedure and my insurance did not change. I think that they are out for money and overcharge and upsell at any given opportunity in addition to being completely negligent and unqualified!

I haven’t been to a dentist in about 6 years. I was anxious and worried about going. The staff were all extremely friendly and professional. The hygienist was so gentle and accommodating. The dentist was so kind and informative. I’m extremely impressed with this practice. It’s a relief to know I’ll be taken care of for all my future appointments. I actually feel comfortable going to the dentist now. Thank you!

As someone who has a fear of going to the dentist, I try to avoid it at all costs. Recently, I developed a severe tooth ache and couldnt hold out any longer. I chose Oak Ridge Dental Arts because of their close proximity to my home and I couldnt have been more pleased with my experience. When making my appointment, I informed them of my fears and that I was sometimes prone to Vasovagal syncope (fainting) before, during, or after medical procedures. Dr. Kmetzsch, Yasmine, and the rest of the staff went out of their way to make sure I was relaxed and comfortable during my appointments. They reclined the examination chair more than normal in order to keep my feet elevated and even allowed me to choose my favorite music to listen to during the procedures. I came away from the process with a beautiful crown on my cracked tooth and a new dental office I am no longer afraid to visit.

I had not been to a dentist in quite some time and my son was also going for the first time. We had a wonderful experience here at Oak Ridge. The staff are excellent and friendly and extremely accommodating and do not rush to get the job done. We were constantly asked if there was anything we needed and the procedures were done in a timely manner and they made you feel like you were the only patients in the office. Dr. Kmisch is the type of long term dentist I want my family to see. He is very professional and lays out options vs telling you this is what you have to do. I would highly recommend him, his staff and this practice as a place to go for your dental care if youre in Huntersville or the greater Huntersville area. Happy to have my smile back too!

It’s weird to say I had a great experience at a dentist office, but I did! Paige was great with my cleaning and Dr Allred did a good job on my filling - he was very focused on making sure my bite was good.

I had a root canal done today, I have to give them two thumbs up 👍🏾👍🏾 Dr. Kmetzsch & Jasmine took very care of me through this procedure! With my first visit I saw Paige 2 thumbs up to her as well! I will definitely be back and recommend them to my friends....

Oak Ridge Dental Arts provided top service for my 7 year old daughter who came to have some cavities filled. She experiences “white coat syndrome” and they went above and beyond to make her feel comfortable. The hygienist took the time to explain each step before it actually happened, which eased her anxiety immensely. She also made a little dentist kit for her to take home to play with her dolls!Hands down, one of the best experiences we have had at a dentist!

A great experience from start to finish. When you walk in the door you feel very welcomed. Everyone is pleasant and friendly. The hygienist did an amazing job on my teeth and answered any questions I had throughout the appointment. I used to dread going to the dentist, but now i look forward to my appointments. What an amazing team this establishment has. Not being from around the area, and not being a patient at this practice, they swiftly got my son an appointment the next day for his teeth as they were in pain. Upon arrival I was greeted with such kindness, they took him back within minutes, checked him out. I wasnt anticipating the cost of what my son needed done, and the insurance/payment coordinator helped me to make things doable! Their main concern was that my son got the treatment he needed, I am so grateful to have booked his appointment through them :) happy pain free patient & happy mom.

I’ve been coming here for a couple of years now and I’m so glad I found this place. Such a great practice with a fantastic team! Everyone is so nice and I’ve never felt judged or looked down upon (like I have at some other dental practices). Dr. Allred has a great sense of humor and bedside manner, Paige is super sweet and always has great advice on dental hygiene, Tracey is so knowledgeable and helpful and friendly...everyone is just so nice! And it’s pretty easy to get an appointment when needed. I recently had to have a tooth removed and I didn’t even hesitate to call them (like I may have in the past) and make an appointment to get it done because I know they take fantastic care of their patients. They got me in that week and I came out of it feeling pretty good about the whole experience (despite the tooth being utterly uncooperative during the removal process haha). I recently moved to south Charlotte and I happily make the drive to continue seeing them. Highly recommend!

I had a great experience here. I came in for emergency dental work. First I saw Mrs. Andrews, very kind and sweet. She took my x-rays and was quick about it too. Not every dental decision is a clear cut decision, and Dr. Ricker was very honest about that. Despite being numb, I noticed by the amount of pressure being applied, changing from one tool to another and manipulating it to get into such small areas, that he has some really good manual dexterity; like he’s been doing the same procedure over and over for a lifetime. Needless to say, I would recommend them. Everyone treated me like my pain was their pain. I was in and out relatively quick and I felt good about the decision I made. Don’t forget to steal cookies on your way out; and no, they’re not just for the kids!

I have been under the care of Oak Ridge Dental Arts for the last 23 months with braces. I am very pleased with the results. Dr. Allred and the entire staff are very welcoming. They listen and include the patient in the entire process so you know what the procedure is and have a voice in the outcome. My results are amazing!

My wife and I having been going to Dr Schmidtke for 15 years every since relocating here to the Lake Norman area. He is the absolute best. He has a great personality but more importantly he is a great professional dentist. He never recommends any procedures unless it is absolutely necessary and always explains all options. I have recommended him countless times and highly recommend him if your reading this post.

Ive been going to the same dentist for about 17 years. After being told I needed a crown that would cost $1400+ I decided to get a second opinion. I am SO glad I did. I made an appointment for a consultation and was told I needed a simple filling. Dr. Schmidtke was so nice and made me feel at home. Tooth fixed! Didnt break the bank! I have found my new dentist!

I took my five year old daughter to this office for a cavity filling. This was her first time having a dental procedure done other than a cleaning. My daughter was very nervous but Dr. Ricker and his assistant Jessi were amazing! They treated her so kind and helped to ease her worries as well as mine. Dr. Ricker took the time to explain in detail everything that needed to be done to ease my concerns and Jessi held her hand the entire time. The experience I had at Oakridge Dental in Cornelius was an absolute wonderful experience. The entire team is welcoming and supportive. The work I needed was handled in the exact time I was told it would be. I needed to have a tooth pulled and bridge 3 teeth. The temporary bridge was made so well you could not tell it was temporary. The bridge did not fall out between visits and I was so happy about that. The permanent bridge was matched perfectly to my own teeth, size and color. Im so pleased with Oakridge Dental and the out of pocket cost to get everything done. If you are looking for a Dentist, Oakridge Dental is it. I have had a wonderful experience working with Oak Ridge Dental Arts. I was a patient of Dr Schmidtkes for many years before the change to ORDA. It has been a smooth transition and I have been very happy with the entire staff and new dentist. I recently had a crown done and Dr Ricker was amazing! I am a nervous dental patient and he made sure I was comfortable and was very gentle and kind throughout the procedure!

After the transition from Dr. Schmidke to Oak Ridge they lost patient dental records and molds. Refused to take ownership of the mistake and were very rude and unprofessional. I’m obviously finding a new dentist and I encourage you to think about finding a more responsible dental practitioner.

I had been a patient of Dr. Schmidtke for approximately six years, and he provided excellent services. I was sad to see Dr. Schmidtke leave; however, Dr. Kmetzsch is a welcomed replacement. I have had two appointments in the last month, and both experiences far exceeded my expectations. My last appointment was for a chipped front tooth, and the office brought me in that same day. Dr. Kmetzsch and the staff are incredibly professional, attentive, and compassionate. The new office deserves my unqualified recommendation and I would not hesitate to refer family and friends.

I was recommended to come here as I am new to the area and looking for a good dentist. However, the moment the receptionist picked up the phone she was very curt and ugly. She told me that I would have to wait several weeks to be seen as a new patient, plus I could NOT get a cleaning at the time of this visit. She said that I would have to actually come back for a whole other appointment to get the cleaning that I was wanting. She sounded like me calling was a huge burden, and didn’t make me feel like I was wanted as a patient. So I took my business to Dr. Whalen. The moment the receptionist answered she sounded so happy and appreciative for me calling and even thanked me for making an appointment with them. Schmidtke’s front office staff should take a page out of their book. I got my appointment in a timely fashion and got the cleaning done at the same time too!

GREAT DENTIST!!As someone who’s has been to plenty of dentist in Charlotte and surrounding I have to say that my experience with Dr Ricker and Nurse lena has been wonderful. Nurse Lena has alot of experience and answer any questions I have which are usually a lot since I have had a lot of dental work in my life. Dr Ricker has been wonderful. He always makes me feel comfortable about the options I have with out judging me for my poor life choices that have caused most of my dental problems. He is honest with my choices knowing my financial issues.Recently I wanted to get a cavity filled but when I showed up he realized what I was asking for was actually staining from smoking and pointed that out to me before he worked on the cavity in that area. Not only did he save me from fixing something I didn’t need he also polished my other teeth which was AMAZING. Would highly recommend Dr Ricker and nurse Lena
