I visited for the first time last week and couldnt be happier with my service. The humidity and sun in Houston is brutal on hair. Combine that with pool time and curly, frizzy hair can be a nightmare to deal with. I came in with my hair a hot mess and walked out with beautiful color, a fabulous keratin treatment, trim and smooth, tamed hair. My stylist Margaret was kind and took her time to do a good job. I felt comfortable and all those who work there are friendly. I was able to take advantage of a back to school special and with everything I had done the value for the money was outstanding. I joined the keratin loyalty program which is a great value so I look forward to return visits regularly.

I have never had any hair treatment before this was my first time. I drove almost one hour to get there but it was worth it. I got keratin treatment by CC if u go there ask for CC she was amazing at her profession. As long you want results and u don’t about money they you should go here. I paid $390, but I paid that much bcz my hair is thick but first time they just charge $280 bcz they give u 20% to first time customer, but then if u hair is long and thick it’s depends how much extra ounces they u in your hair that way they add in your total amount. It was best experience

I went in for a keratin treatment for my hair, Dee helped me. He went over prices 1st. I said Id like the 350$ treatment. On the website they give you 20% off 1st treatment. So as he was putting the product in my hair Dee said he needed to use more ok fine didnt think of anything until the bill came later. The price should have been $280 with the 20 %but he charge me an extra 35$ without even asking me or telling me and this was during the treatment not before he got started. So it came out to be $ 315 . I just felt he wasnt honest.

This is a top rated Salon! Very professional.. high end products.. owners and staff are highly trained and honest. Ever since I moved to Houston in 2013 and this place is the only salon I can trust with my hair.

I had the Belma Kosmetik treatment done today by Dee. It was a much better experience than the other keratin treatment. It’s a newer technology - organic and smells so much better, no burning eyes, and you can wash the same day! My hair was dry and frizzy with uneven waves, but Dee worked his magic and now it looks so much better! I really appreciate that he takes the time to address your hair concerns and issues as well.

I had a great experience in this salon, i had keratin, hair color (caramel/blond), haircut and bought some products. i was very satisfied with all the services mentioned and i am writing this review months after applying the keratin because i wanted to make sure that the keratin will hold as promised by the salon and it did ( 4 months)

Love this place! Dee is amazing. This is my first time going to a salon for color and I was worried it would damage my hair, but Dee had very good advice and end result was fabulous! There was almost no damage to my hair and all my friends went gaga over it ! Color went well with my skin tone according to Dees suggestion.I am there right now for my 2nd appointment after 2 months for root touch and trying to get it more beach blonde to flaunt for the rest of summer !😍😍😍

Take it from me, this is a salon that you can trust to do a FABULOUS job on your hair. The 5/5 stars I feel that they deserve, cover my experience from the hospitality, timing, skill, atmosphere, and price etc. I drove all the way from Louisiana, and it was worth it. D (one of the owners) did my keratin, and a much needed cut, I have extremely curly frizzy hair, and I can literally now just wash and go. Of all the keratin treatments Ive gotten, this one beats them all. The atmosphere is very classy, spacious, and is like something Ive seen out of a movie. Everything about my experience was of high quality. What really impressed me was how courteous the entire staff was to me. Absolutely love this place, had the organic keratin treatment done by Dee. I LOVE the final result, “have very fizzy hair with curls” I walked out “in Houston’s weather” with completely different hair texture.What I really loved about this treatment is the fact that I can wash my hair immediately, I don’t have to keep it unwashed for 3 days.Anyway, I can’t wait for my next visit to dye my hair & fix its color.I definitely recommend trying this place.

This Salon is the BEST! I had a keratin treatment done with Dee and he was Great! I meet some of the staff and they helped each other out whenever they can. I thought I was going to stay there for a long time, because I was getting the keratin treatment but it was quick. After a week my hair is way more manageable now and the frizz is gone, especially out doors in the Houston heat still no frizz. Love the fast and friendly service, worth every penny. I look forward to coming back here.

As I am not an expert on hair and treatments, I often thought I had received good service at other previous salons. Now that I frequent the keratin salon, I understand the difference. Dee and Brooke are outstanding. They are a step ahead of the rest with their expertise and their service. Do yourself a favor and give this place a try!

WARNINGStylist sold me a hair straightener for $180 and stated it was worth $280. Found the Keratin Complex straightener for $80 at Wal Mart. This man was deceptive, and continuously made in appropriate comments to me while my sister was getting her treatment done. They also added up charges onto her bill. This salon is a scam.

The treatments provided at this hair salon dont work. The products sold at this hair salon dont work. The prices are outrageous. Coupons and offers are given for marketing. However, once your total is added; you end up paying higher than at a most expensive hair salons. This is is a terrible hair salon. Owners are rude and have zero understanding of customer service. No talent whatsoever. My hair got destroyed by their treatments and products, and I was threaded really bad and harassed for complaining.

I really cant say enough about how much I adore the Keratin Salon and the folks who work there. Brooke and Dee take extra time and care with all of their clients - and they are well educated with advanced product technologies - better than most. I am a long-time customer (since 2014); I would come regularly for Coppola Keratin treatments over the years. When Brooke told me about the Belma treatment which was a little more expensive, but offered a healthier and long lasting alternative, I was excited to try it. This week I had the Belma treatment experience and loved it. The way my hair looks and feels is extremely luxurious. It is different from the Coppola treatment; I like it better, and it is more natural and healthy for your hair. I think it feels amazing - and makes me look years younger. Thanks Brooke and Dee for giving me the 5-star experience with the Belma treatment. I love you guys - and I love my hair again!

Ive been a client at The Keratin Salon for over 4 years and wouldnt go anywhere else. My hair has never looked better, both with the color treatment and keratin. The Houston humidity is brutal on my hair, but the keratin has it smooth and non frizzy - alleluia!Dee and Brooke are the ultimate professionals and run an efficient shop. I highly recommend this salon to anyone who wants quality and experience.

I come from Austin just for this salon! They do such a wonderful job. I have super curly hair and they transform it to straight and silky hair. They are a family run business with a very friendly staff. Definitely recommend!

I am very disappointed that the keratin treatment at the Keratin Salon didnt work for me at all. I followed all the instructions given by them step by step to keep my hair straight and healthy, but didn’t work. Additionally, their keratin treatments don’t last more than 3 weeks compared to 3 months as they claim. Also, the ends of my hair look extremely dry. The Keratin treatment is OVERPRICED. I went to this salon because they publicize to offer the lower keratin prices than at any other salon in Houston; but I paid almost 30% more than the price that they initially offered. To add to the negative situation, the owner has a terrible attitude towards new customers. I was forced to purchase their products in an unkind manner by the owner. The products don’t work either. I am very upset that I lost all this money for products that don’t work, a keratin treatment that didn’t last more than 3 weeks and damaged my hair and a very low service to new clientele.

My girlfriend referred me to this wonderful salon. Brooke and Dee own it and are master stylists. I have very thick curly frizzy hair and Dee did the keratin treatment and my hair is totally different! I’m 57 and coloring my gray with my other hair stylist became misery with the chemicals making my scalp burn and itch. I thought I was doomed to go gray early! But Mr Master Stylist Dee knew the trick, applying a protective oil to the color saved the day! I’m so happy to have found the Keratin Salon!

My keratin didnt last more than a week. My hair looks frazzle and damaged after the treatment. Overpriced services. The promotions that they offered are to get you at the door. But you spend the same or more as if you go to a Elite Hair Salon. Rough people. Female and Male hairdresser with very bad manners and unprofessional.

I rarely write negative reviews, but today is different. I witnessed something so disgusting that I feel the urge to warn any potential or current customers.One of the stylists, Pam, walked up to the owner while he was sitting at the front desk, and she asked him if the AC was on (it was HOT and I was even getting uncomfortable as a customer). He yelled at her in front of everyone in the salon, “What do you want me to do about it?!” Apparently the front door was open and some of the AC was exiting the room, and he emphasized that the AC was on. About 30 mins went by, and I was getting my hair washed in the back. The owner, Dee, and Pam were maybe three ft away from me. He scolded her for questioning him in front of other customers (or questioning him period in my opinion). He proceeded to tell Pam to leave the salon and to never come back. Basically, he fired her in front of two other employees and a customer (ME!). Pam pleaded with him and asked Dee what she did wrong, as she only asked him about the AC because he was the owner. He didn’t budge his stance and told her to leave right away. She then asked if she could at least finish her appointments for the day and he surprisingly agreed. He then walked away, and Pam was crying with a box of tissues in her hand. My stylist and the other stylists definitely felt uncomfortable, but they didn’t want to say anything. I could tell they wanted to help Pam, but probably thought they would lose their jobs if they did. My stylist previously mentioned that Pam is “one of the sweetest people here”. At minimum, he should have talked to her in a private area. Another situation that I witnessed is when a customer was telling Dee that she had really thin hair. His immediate response was telling her that she still needed to pay full price. She was like, “I wasn’t telling you about how thin my hair is to get a discount”, with a very annoyed tone. Overall, this salon has an extremely toxic work culture as a result of the unprofessional owner with a big ego.My plan was to share my thoughts with the owner on my way out, but he was in the back for a prayer session. During my last two (and only) visits at at the salon, I learned that Pam works part-time and takes care of her elderly husband. I hope that she finds a better work environment that values and respects her. I will not be back to support this business.

I have been going here for over a year. I made finding a new stylist a priority when I moved to Houston. I am so glad I found this place and Paula. I get a keratin treatment every 3-4 months depending on which one I get done. There is a GK one that youve to leave in for 48 hours and another that needs to be left in for 72 hours. Ive switched to the 72 hour one as it lasts longer in my hair. Paula is a gem and always does a wonderful job on my hair. She goes out of her way to make appointments for me since I am one of those clients that ALWAYS waits until the last minute to make an appointment. Give this place a try, theyre great. It is no surprise they have a great following.

Ive been going to the keratine salon for almost 7 years. Their service is great, they use the best products in the market. Everything, from hair cuts to color, highlights, and of course the keratine treatments are the highest quality possible. Theyll fix any hair issue leaving it beautiful and healthy.

HORRIBLE service, lack of experience by their only two hair dressers, and unethical charges. AVOID this place at all costs! They also claim to give you 20% off your first visit, but once you are there, they jack up the prices of the services and you end up paying double than a high luxury hair salon. Be careful with the keratin cost they charge you, they tell you its $280 for the first time and after that they will end up charging you high amounts per extra ounce and of course everyone needs extra ounces so a keratin that they tell is $280 ends up being around $400-450. Male owner is very rude. I wish I could put zero stars, but the system doesnt allow it, this place is the worst.

I love this salon...Dee spends a lot of time helping me decide how I want my hair cut...he follows my thinking and then I see that what he was suggesting makes more sense...and Im so happy with the result!!! On previous occasions Ive had my hair colored at this salon and got the color I wanted and hair that feels in great condition, which, believe me, isnt always the case in places Ive been before...Ive always been treated with friendliness and had great service, with healthy doses of great conversation and laughter...or I can be as quiet as I want and that is also respected...Id thoroughly recommend this salon...

This is NOT a NEGATIVE review, but just a little advise. I was going to make an appointment with this salon, but quite frankly, I was reading the reviews and the owners response to negative reviews and opted not too. I was a bit taken a back by the defensive backlash from the staff/owners to customer complaints.Just a friendly reminder to the salon: new clients DO read reviews. When I see a salon with high reviews and there are a few negative reviews here and there (which is expected at any place of business), a potential customer will always review how the business handles negative complaints. How a business handles complaints is a greater indicator of customer care than the positive reviews. It is best to address the concerns, apologize for the misunderstanding, and welcome the customer back to right the wrong. It is never advantageous for a business to begin giving a play-by-play of the days events and telling the customers, You didnt do this..or, you didnt do that...why didnt you...we didnt charge you for this... This implies the customers complaint is unwarranted; the customer is wrong.I have had keratin treatments by two hair care professionals in Houston, and each time my treatment has lasted 5-6 months when the correct amount of heat is used (I am biracial and have incredibly crazy, frizz-fest hair-yikes! My hair is also to my waist.) treatment costs were always about $350 and with hair color, cut and style usually about $450.00 (total)--with me leaving an additional $50.00 for a tip--so, yes, very expensive. This is why I only went twice a year to get my hair done. I never had to buy special products other than a keratin shampoo and conditioner that I purchased from Sallys. Anywhoo--I was in search of a new team as both of my favorite hair stylists have moved: one back to NYC and the other back to Denver. (I hope it wasnt my hair that caused the relocation!)I left you 5 stars as Im hoping this will encourage you to rethink how you handle your customers negative complaints. Customers are not out to get you. They came to you and entrusted you with their hair. They just want to be heard and want to feel that a solution can be found. Even the imposter--I know how aggravating this can be! The better way to handle the imposter would be, Dear Sir or Miss, We would love to have a second chance to earn your trust; however, we are not seeing you listed in any of our appointment logs. Please contact our salon so that we can better serve your needs. We greatly value you as a customer and work very hard to ensure every client has a positive experience. Do you see how this is LESS confrontational? It automatically places the salon in a positive light in a negative review--which is ultimately what you want. Even an imposter would stop in their tracks as they are not getting a rise out of you (which is just what they want). Dont fall for those traps. When customers are complaining of the owner being rude (more than once), and potential customers see the way the staff handles complaints, it only confirms the complaint.Besides that you seem like a wonderful salon, and I hope you make the necessary changes to gain the trust of new clients. Meanwhile, my search continues...good luck.

Worst service ever !!! Rip offf

I went to this salon to make an appointment. While the manager was blow-drying his customers hair, he asked me to speak very load in order to make an appointment and get my information rather than asking me to wait or come and greet me for second to get the information. I did not like his manners and customer service and decided to go to other place.

Complete ripoff....they took 350$ for a keratin treatment that last only for 2 weeks...they were very nice when taking the money while when discussing the issues he simply called the police so be carful when dealing with those people they are theives
