Best experience for my first time wax!! I was expecting the worst, being nervous and it was the absolute opposite. Helena made me feel so comfortable from our conversation to the process of being waxed. Answered all my questions, and even helped me with a few products for my after wax care. Will definitely be back for my second round.

I don’t write reviews often but I had to for Helena’s. This was my first visit to Helena’s but it definitely won’t be my last! I think I’ve found my official massage place in Houston!I booked this last minute and she was very accommodating. She and her staff are so friendly and professional. I got a massage from Joy and it was one of the best massages I’ve ever had in my life. The place very nice and I would recommend them to anyone. Thank you Helena!

As an EX-EMPLOYEE, I can say that even though we are polite with clients. We, ourselves got treated very badly by the owner. She may come off as a sweet person, but that isnt how she is with her staff. She treated us like a slave. She got mad because I attended to my client instead of making my client wait till I swept the floors. Even after I told the owner my client had already been waiting for 6 mins for me to get done making an appointment for another client that had called. And I felt like my client should be attended to right away instead of making her wait even longer to have her service done. HELENA is under staffed will always be under staffed. She keeps firing people, especially those that were loyal to her and her company. We bend over backwards to do everything she asked of us. Even that wasnt good enough for her.

I use this spa for Brazilian services. What I love about business is consistency and professionalism. Ive already experienced both at this spa. If you are looking professionals that are trained the Brazilian way, then you have found the right place. I first visited in 2008 as a newbie to Houston and living in the Galleria area. After leaving and returning to Houston I decided to go back to Helenas in 2020 for Brazilian services. It has been 12 years, but the great service and consistency remain unchanged. The staff are efficient and pleasant.I cant comment on other services, but I would find it hard to believe that Helenas doesnt exceed in all service areas provided.Keep up the great service during the pandemic.

I recently visited Helena’s for a private party. This place is a hidden gem in Houston. The decor and cleanliness of the environment immediately brings calm upon you. Helena and her staff are top notch! They are personable yet professional and incredibly pleasant. They entertained our event and frequently asked if we needed anything. The massage that I had was impeccable! I was so pleased with this establishment that I will plan to go back soon. You certainly get high level quality from this spa.

I LOVE HELENAS WAX AND SPA!!!! Hands down, its the best for someone who wants to pamper themselves. I have known Helena for over a decade. Recently, I tried European Wax for the convenience, it being close to me and thought I would save money. I will not be going back to European Wax. The drive and extra penny is worth me sticking with Helena. I feel comfortable and not rushed out. Helenas products are great for my sensitive skin. I feel clean, fresh, and like a princess when I go to Helenas Wax and Spa!

The staff is very professional in confirming online appointments via text. I was greeted by my first name when I arrived for a 10:00 am appointment. The staff was helpful in recommending (not pushing) post-treatment products. The staff was also not pushy in having me commit to a return visit. The facility is in-and-of-itself state of the art, and the owner(s) clearly work to keep the facility looking first rate. I have been to this business several times, always for the same treatment, and I have always been pleased.

Excellent experience with a Full Brazilian Wax. Reception is very kind and accommodating. The spa itself is very clean & relaxing. I felt extremely comfortable with Helena. She’s not only charismatic but an expert in her craft. Her technique is professional and hygienic. Just a tip: I once tried a different location with a significant lower price...you get what you pay for. I’ve even attempted to do it myself once ...another horrible decision. There’s a reason why esthetician’s are licensed. Go to a professional. I’m all for saving money but when it comes to something as sensitive as your lady situation ..DO NOT cheap out . 😏 I 100% recommend this location.

Ive been waxed by Tracy for a couple of times shes awesome. At my recent visit I was waxed by andrelina, shes awesome as well. Both make you feel comfortable and take their time to make sure they were able to get every hair. Im never disappointed, every time has been a good experience.

We booked a last minute appointment with Helena for a couples massage. They were able to make the accommodations for us, and it was AMAZING. The facility is very clean. Helena came in and greeted us and made sure we were taken care of the entire time. The couples room is complete with a Jacuzzi tub and a shower, so if you decide to do the couples massage do pay the extra money to enjoy the entire couples room. The front desk person was also amazing. My ONLY ONE complaint was the gentlemen who performed my massage was constantly applying too much pressure, on several occasions I had to tell him it was too hard. So next time I would opt for a female masseuses. This place have my vote, it was awesome!!!

I always wanted laser hair removal and I chose this place of course and what I can tell you is...... HELENA IS AMAZING, it was a bit painful but other wise best experience I ever had. She made me feel comfortable throughout the whole procedure and I definitely will come back again to get more sessions done by her and the massage therapist Cindy is so good she found every knot I had and explained to me how I could manage my stress. Overall amazing experience 5/5

This is the best wax service i have ever had! They know when to use hard wax and soft wax with ice for different areas, make sure all the hair is gone going back over with tweezers, use high frequency to prevent inflammation and treat pores, and use amazing after care products to prevent any irritation. Helena’s wax technique is far beyond the level of any other wax spa. The spa is beautiful and clean! I will never go anywhere else!

During my recent visit to Helena’s I was treated like Royalty in every way. Only thing missing was the red carpet lol. My husband passed away a couple of months ago and making a trip to Helena’s Spa was more therapeutic for me than I even realized it would be, because I truly had not been in quite some time, but the level of excellence has not changed, if anything it’s only gotten better, like a fine wine!!The gracious, compassionate and truly knowledgeable Esthetician’s Karen, Vanessa and Penelope treated me with the utmost care. Each service was expertly and carefully prepared and delivered in a professional and safe manner. No detail was left out, the fragrances of the each product used, the thoroughness of the waxing experience, the truly thorough facial, that left my face glowing, right down to the hemp body wash in the shower; every detail was pleasurable, esthetic and expertly administered.This was not just your run of the mill, hurried Spa experience, no this was an “Epic Experience.” And this was not my first time experiencing Helena’s and it definitely will not be my last. I felt ministered to just when I needed it the most.You too will absolutely be floored by the quality of your experience at Helena’s!!

Tracy did a fantastic job on my wax. Highly recommend to any guys on the fence. Minimal pain, good conversation, fast but not rushed. My experiences with other corporate wax locations left me questioning whether waxing is worth it, but Tracy got rid of any doubt I ever had. Helena is awesome. She explains the process and she is very patient with answering questions even if you may think it is a a stupid question. I usually get the Brazilian wax but this time I received the laser hair removal treatment. It wasnt painful at all. Helena is very detailed with her work.

This was my first appointment with Helena’s but it was the best experience ever! I used to go to European Wax Center religiously and they were good but no where close to the experience I had. Helena ( the owner ) she is very caring about you and she takes the time to care for whatever type of skin you have ! She takes her time and is very knowledgeable and uses natural products of her own to care for you. She does more than what is required and meets the individual needs of each client. Glad I came because I was used to one place and didn’t want to change. I am going back for a laser treatment in 4-6 weeks, she is the one who looked at my skin and heard my concerns about my skin and catered to my needs and concerns. The prices are very reasonable and they also have packages & specials that are great as well. Also, Helena personally trains her staff so everyone who works there is like a replica of her !

I am a Physician/Surgeon who drives over 70 miles to undergo my services which should speak volumes as to Helenas work, professionalism, & focus. She uses the correct settings on the laser machine since she was TRAINED to do so - there are NO TECHS performing this service. She invested the time/energy/money to ensure her clients are undergoing the correct procedure. She is always personable & its very evident she loves what she does. Her facility is clean, similar to a sterile operating room - and its evident she invested in her business just like she invests in her clients. To top it off - if you are a hugger - she gives pleasant hugs when you leave! As a surgeon who performs laser surgery on patients in the operating room - I entrust my own body in her hands.

She is so awesome, she took her time waxing and at the same time she made sure that i was comfortable. So far, Ive been to this place twice. Each time everyone was courteous, from the people at the front desk to the people who performed my treatments. The first time, I had a manicure and a sauna treatment. The second time, I had a mani and pedi. They also offer you wine or tea during nail treatments. Wine was good. Havent tried the tea yet. Overall a nice relaxing atmosphere, and I would surely recommend this place.

Ive been going to Helenas for the past 4 months for waxing and I could not be happier. The location is serene and beautiful and the staff are cordial and friendly and I am very happy with my service every time.If you go there ask for Melissa, she does a great job. If it wasnt for her I would not have any waxing done. I dont normally get waxed but went there for the first time because I was going on vacation. If it wasnt for Melissa I wouldnt go back but she makes me feel comfortable and I trust what she does. Being from the middle east I have a lot of stubborn dark hair and I feel sexy after each visit because all of the hair is gone for a good 3 weeks.

I have been going to Helena’s for a few years now and couldn’t recommend them higher. The spa itself is gorgeous, new, clean and very calming. They have two floors, changing rooms, robes and a lot of areas to sit and relax before or after. I have completed a laser package and I am very happy with the results and the price is reasonable. I also enjoy the their massages and custom facials and always ask for Chantel who is amazing at her job. They use top quality products, I particularly love Eminence products, not many places in Houston carry those.Overall if you want a luxury experience, quality service and products and a beautiful atmosphere then I would highly recommend Helena’s.

Went to Helenas for the first time this morning. Beautiful Spa, very clean and modern. Tiffany gave me a Brazilian Wax, and she did an awesome job. She took her time and the experience was very comfortable and pretty pain free (as pain free as a Brazilian can be). I am definitely going to continue getting my waxes at Helenas with Tiffany.

I love this place. Helena was so nice and fun to talk with while I was having my service performed. I had a large skin tag under arm removed and it only took her a second to remove it. I would definitely recommend this place and I will be returning in the future.

UPDATE: After leaving a review the only response I received was managements response below. Not even so much as an apology.Called on a Monday to book 2 massage appointments for that Sunday. One for my sister (90 min hot stone massage) and one for myself (90 min swedish massage). The girl who booked the appointments was helpful and friendly. Saturday morning I received a text to confirm my appointments, I responded, and received multiple texts confirming. Later that day right before 5pm I received a phone call from the spa asking for 2 $50 deposits in order to hold the appointments. He had the massages wrong and booked it as a couples swedish massage, I corrected him and he ensured me they would be separate and one would be a hot stone massage. Leaving a deposit didnt bother me as Ive booked numerous massages and leaving a credit card on file is standard practice. Calling me at 5 the day before after already confirming my appointments however definitely bothered me. He told me the massage therapists were coming in on their day off for these appointments and thats why the deposits were needed. First, thats not my problem, Second, not something I want to hear, and Third dont book appointments if you dont have staff scheduled. He ended up charging me one $50 deposit after I complained. We show up Sunday at 12:20 or so for 12:30 apts. There was a sign stating to call to be let in. Once we were let in we check in and are taken upstairs to change into robes. They then call us back and its the same room. We just go with it. My massage was definitely one of the worst I have ever had. I wouldnt call it a massage exactly, more like a rub down. The round pillow for under your knees while on your back was left on the table while on our stomach, at the very least it should have been moved to under our ankles. Im only 53, in order for my face to be in the face rest the pillow ended up under my shins making me extremely uncomfortable. The massage therapist had no idea how to handle the sheet and no concept of modesty. Her hair was past her shoulders and left down, which continually fell in my face and on my head as well as grazed over other parts of my body. (Sister stated the same happened with her therapist). She had a bottle of what Im assuming was oil which she would place on my bed while not in use. Honestly I would be amazed if this person has a massage license as literally every aspect of the massage was less than amateur. My massage cost $175 my sisters $225. I left in more pain than when I walked in. Long story short, it was a complete waste of money and I will definitely not be back. They may very well be great at waxing but definitely not at massages.

I have been going to Helenas Spa, regularly, for waxes and facials, for a year. I have had a great experience each time, from the check-in to check out. It is a very nice facility - very clean and relaxing. The estheticians are very competent and personable. I recommend Andrelina (facials and waxes), Chantal (facials) and Tracy (waxes).

I had a horrible waxing experience at another location many years ago, and it really scared me. I figured perhaps my skin was too delicate to tolerate waxing. It terrified me so much that my next waxing experience wasnt until two months ago. I decided to try Helenas. I had the pleasure of meeting Helena; she was so personable and sweet. The pain was minimal and she took her time. We had a great conversation, full of laughs. It definitely put me at ease, which is what I needed because I still had anxiety from the last time. I will definitely be a regular here.

As a veteran spa junkie, Helena’s is my go-to for both the necessary as well as indulgent spa treatments. The atmosphere is both warm and serene without being too stuffy. Their hygiene practices are top notch and I always feel comfortable during waxing and other body treatments. Helena and her esthectians are knowledgable about the work they do and they are professional, yet personable. I highly recommend Helena’s for your self-care needs!!

Ive been getting Brazilian waxes for years at Ninas Creations in Kansas City but when I relocated to Houston in January I was very reluctant to get the procedure done here. It goes without saying that is a sensitive area and you just cant let everybody touch your who-ha. Lucky for me, Nina has a sister that lives in Houston and also has a spa! I went to Helenas and was waxed by Helena herself and had a complete 5 star experience.The facility itself is beautiful, quiet, and private. Theres even a separate waiting area in the front vs. the back so you dont have to sit out in the open with everyone until youre escorted to your room. The receptionist at the front was friendly and knew who I was when I walked in (even though it was my first visit).The wax itself was different -- she uses a hard wax and then follows with a cream wax but it was the best most thorough wax Ive ever received. She even followed with a probe thing that helps eliminate bacteria in the pores. At the end of it, I was completely smooth. And the grow back process (that I usually hate) has been so seamless I didnt even notice that its almost time for a repeat visit.When you pay, the receptionist rings you up and you place the tip in a tiny envelope and put it in a box for the person that performed your service. I like this *so* much more than what Ive usually experienced which is the person that did the service ring you up and you have to say the tip aloud directly to them. I always tip well (they are, after all, taking care of one of my most prized possessions) but this seemed like less pressure.If I had to say one bad thing about the service is that it is not a quick appointment. Total my appointment (virgin not retouch) was about 1.5 hours.Love this place and would recommend it to anyone!

I didnt like this wax experience at all. The facility was nice and so was the staff but the process took entirely too long and my skin was damaged. Im not new to waxing so I had expectations based off past experience. The wax took over 45 minutes to complete. Holding the various positions required for a Brazilian for that much time is ridiculously uncomfortable and far from relaxing. Most pros will have you done in 15 min or so. Then the final product left my skin irritated and damaged. I wanted to enjoy the experience but unfortunately it was the 2nd worst wax ever (only behind what I experienced at a European Wax Center).

Helena is someone special and knows her craft to a T! Everytime I go she gives me tips and recommendations for my skin especially around my lady part. She maked my experience comfortable even in the midst of prettying up my my little part!

My first time using their services was this evening for their bikini wax. I truly couldn’t have asked for a better customer service experience. I met Helena at the door and they fit me right in before my trip back home. Olivia & Shantel were the absolute BEST! They need their own show to say the least lol. I almost became emotional because they didn’t get frustrated with me in the slightest and they are so knowledgeable and explained self care in detail after so throughly. Worst experience ever!!! I have been doing the brazilian bikini wax for more than 10 years. I tried many different places. The last service I had was the service from Helena and it was the worst experience I have ever had. First of all she was late, and did the service fast and very rough. She didnt even care that Im almost 7 month pregnant. She applied wax on very large areas and she couldnt tear off the wax with the first attempt. Moreover, the wax was hot and she applied it multiple times on the same areas, which caused me severe burns all over my bikini area. The next morning I discovered that my bikini zone is severely swollen and irritated. Some areas had no skin. I was in severe pain. Since I was 29-weeks pregnant at that time, I went to the Emergency Room. After the medical examination, the ER doctor stated that I had burns and skin bacterial infection.I asked Helena to compensate my medical expenses, but she refused. Moreover, she did not even apologize, she said that she did everything right and it was my fault. In addition to physical injuries, I also had strong emotional distress.Helena cares only about making money and is not willing to take the responsibility for hurting clients. She treats her revenues more than customer satisfaction. I strongly discourage you to deal with Helena and her Spa Salon.

I was a Brazilian wax newbie when I first came to Helenas spa. I am glad I chose this place for my first waxing. Helena was the one who did my waxing that day. She did a great job of calming my nerves and distracting me with casual conversation. Yes, it did hurt. However, it was the typical discomfort everyone experiences and now I am a regular customer!

Ive been going to Helenas waxing spa for over a year now for brazilian and full leg wax, and she is THE best. Ive been getting waxed for over 17 years and she definitely is an excellent esthetician. In France, where Im from it is very common to get waxed and I was surprised when I moved to the USA by how inexperienced estheticians are when it comes to waxing, but not Helena. I have yet to find someone as good as her.I started going to Helenas when I was pregnant for brazilian and full legs wax and was impressed by how she cared for me so now I still visit her spa every month.Her spa is exceptionally clean, which is not always the case in other spas.
