Inspector Richard Boyett is wonderful. I would surely reccomend him. He was very informative and thoroughly took his time to explain everything to us. He made sure that all our questions were answered. He is also very kind and friendly.
Cancelled my service today after months of issues. Scheduling appointments was random and automatic, ignoring times we specifically requested not to. Fees changed after only a few months, and to top it off, we still have fleas! How are they still in business?!?
Even i had agreement with Surepest which its was bought by Orkin they omitted that agreement and tried to rip off, no showed up for service, not professional at all, they messed up their services and ignored all agreements as well. Even i requested supervisor, GM or Customer head contacts they ignored and they did not help as well, Please AVOID ORKIN and find better one, even no earned any star for Orkin in Houston.
NO stars for you Orkin.. very very disappointing in your service!! Service tech does not call or notify before showing up..this has happened several times and I have been telling them over and over do not show up before 3 pm and it still continues. IT is written in my contract and also he writes it down each time. I am about ready to cancel the service
Avoid Orkin - they will not deliver, send you random technicians, never answer the phone, and charge you for their lack of service. 10 years ago, Orkin was THE BEST you could get. We never had a bug problem, always had the same technician, and their customer service was responsive and helpful. Now? You cant speak to a customer service person because they will put you on eternal hold. You will have a different technician every time and they wont arrive on time. Scheduled one of our last appointments 4 weeks in advance; did not receive follow up of any kind and then when the technician completely missed his window, their office could not get a hold of him. Finally, they come back on the line and tell me that he will call me directly. Weird. He calls me and says that he didnt know he had an appointment and to just contact him directly from now on. THEN I needed service in between visits, called and left a couple of messages, never received a call back and they never showed up. The final straw was when they did not let me know they were coming out for their bi-monthly treatment, the tech just shows up at my house and they call me when he is already at my house and ask if we need treatment indoors as well. Supposedly he treated outdoors, but 2 weeks later I have bugs in my house now. Needless to say, I have cancelled, they wont give me a refund because their manager is ALWAYS out of the office and I am going with a different pest control company.
I requested an estimate. Set up an appointment time and day. THEY NEVER SHOWED UP. I WOULD DEFINITELY NOT RECOMMEND THEM FOR ANYONE !!!!
I called to set an appointment up. I had seen a few roaches in my kitchen. I wanted to take care of it, before it became an issue. I have been living in my condo for 4 years. This was the first time this has happened. I called and they gave me two choices, pay $250 (one time visit) or pay seven payments of $77($539). I have a small one bedroom condo, (They dont even factor that in).I asked if they could do 3 visits?? She said, no. I honestly think this is price gouging. This company is using its iconic name to take advantage of people. So I did my research and found a Groupon for Preventive Pest Control for $59. Came the next day, the tech was very knowledgeable, pet friendly and no hidden fees AND now... Im BUG FREE. :))
Great customer service.
Poor poor service
Great job
Very disappointed. I picked them over the other two pest control companies bc they were seemingly thorough in explaining what was going to happened. Were a good price and were available on a weekend. Did the online estimate, got the call, received a call from the local Orkin guy and scheduled it all. We waited from noon to 2pm on our day off (Labor Day Weekend) and NO SHOW. I explained to them I was going to do asap bc I am terrified of spiders and needed pest control asap. A NO SHOW. Going with another company.
Set apt. for 10-29-19 @3pm. Around 3:10 called to confirm and was told it’s a 3-5 window. At 4pm the tech. called to tell me he thought it was for the next day, 10-30-19 and if I wanted he “could come out” with very little enthusiasm, more like “if I have to, I will”. No thanks Orkin Houston. They may have pest control down to a Science but they certainly do not have customer service.
GREAT mosquito service. Initiated last year to include fleas. I can actually enjoy my backyard again.
It was advertised to me that once the contract was up, I could cancel at any time. When I called to cancel, they told me that, yes, but, the terms and conditions require a thirty day written notice. It was my understanding those terms and conditions only applied while I was under contract. While Ill fully admit it was on me for not reading more closely and Ill find a way to pay for the last service, I dont appreciate the misrepresentation and when were in a position to get pest control again, it wont be with them.
Great
Let me preface this review with some information: I have been an Orkin customer for YEARS. My parents have had Orkin for YEARS. Up until this instance, our service with Orkin was GREAT. My recent experience, and this review, pertains ONLY to the technicians assigned to the Richmond/Rosenburg area, and their dispatch office. Both of which I assume are tied to this location.I insisted upon Orkin when my husband and I purchased our home almost 2 years ago. Sadly, the service we were given in Rosenburg did not match the quality of service we’d previously received in Orlando, FL and Cypress, TX. Within the first 2 months of our contract, we had 2 of our assigned technicians get fired. We only found this out because of the very next technician, the 3rd employee swap in a 6 month period, mentioned it as an explanation for the inconsistent service we’d received. We can only assume that they were let go due to not showing up, which happened to us. We would wait around the house all day only to have them not show at all, or arrive well into the evening, far after the scheduled window. This was beyond frustrating given what we were paying, and the fact that Houston’s suburbs can be very “buggy” during certain seasons. The 3rd gentleman that came out seemed okay initially, but during a very brief exchange of pleasantries, wrote down his YouTube channel name and gave it to us, trying to promote his singing career (which seemed really strange…). As for the service itself: He would show up, treat the outside of the home, and leave. All without ringing our doorbell or knocking to try to spray inside the home. In one instance, I walked by the front door as he was pulling out of our driveway, realizing that he had treated and left. I would then try to reach someone at the office to have him come back and do the inside, which leads into our next issue, the dispatch office…Orkin has a policy that if you still see bugs in your home, you are welcome to call and have them come treat the house in between scheduled visits. I cannot begin to tell you how many voicemails I would leave at the office requesting additional service, trying to find out why our provider never showed, or just switching out our payment methods. They would NEVER call us back. The few times I did get through to someone, I would hear “Oh yes, we received your voicemail”, which made me question why they even have a voicemail service if they never plan to return customer calls.By this point, I had been defending Orkin to my husband for the majority of our contract, trying to reassure him that the service was worth it, that this was probably just a temporary management problem. We recently had a salesperson for another pest control company come up to our driveway while we were outside and talk to us about their service, cheaper and more reliable (according to our neighbors that use them), and we finally decided to cut ties with Orkin. I called that evening and left a message, requesting a call back when the office opened. I wound up waiting until past 10 a.m. the next morning, no call back, before finally reaching out again. To my relief someone actually answered, and we were able to cancel our service.Needless to say, we have had enough. I wish our service had been better, I wish the management of this location was better. We were loyal Orkin customers before this, but we are done. Maybe we’ll try again if we ever move, but I CAUTION anyone that signs up for pest control service through this particular Orkin office.
I’m going to keep this short.I had three technicians. The first was lazy and did the bare minimum. I called and asked for a new person. I got my second technician who was really good. He listened to my requests. He checked my antic, my yard. The exterior of my house. He sprayed and granulated and would put down traps and baits. I had almost no problems with bugs while he was the one doing the job. He apparently either quit or got fired and I was sent a third guy. I am the type of person to watch the people I pay to do work. So I observed this guy while he treated my house. No yard treatment. Sprayed a couple of rooms. No baits. No traps. No exapections. Just a quick trip. When I told him he didn’t do some things I needed he told me straight to my face he did them. Despite me watching him. I called orkin and tried to get the service manager (Mike) on the phone for three weeks. Never got a call back. When I did finally speak with him he had no idea I existed or had a problem but was going to fix it.... next week when he calls me back. Two weeks later I still don’t have a returned phone call or a person coming out to re-Spray properly for a service they charged me for.Cancelled my service. Don’t plan on ever going back. I could get a better result from Walmart poisons and a cheese trap than from this company. I would save a lot of money too because lies and incompetence is expensive.
I scheduled two appointments and both times the technician did not show up!!!! I waited all morning, and I am the one that had to call in to question if he was going to show up, just to be told that he was running 1 hour late, had I not called in, I would not have known. I demanded a manager get on the phone, just to be told there is no manager on site he will not be in until Monday 05/08, I told the lady have him call me and let her know that I will be contacting the BBB. Miraculously a manager called me back in less than 30 minutes and all he did was add insult to injury by telling me he could give me a $50 dollar discount, NO THANK YOU I TOLD HIM, I AM NOT ABOUT TO WASTE ANOTHER MINUTE OF MY TIME WITH ORKIN AND I HUNG UP!!! I went with one of their competitors and they were GREAT!!!!
Company only cares about the money
Dont waste your $. i had problems with mice. the tech just left glue traps, and didnt bother to identity how they were getting inside.
Scheduled an appointment. No one ever showed up.
I live in an apartment orkin every week come for pest controlbut i never saw a dead roach.
Bad customer service, talking with representative he got mad when I miss understood him charging me $48.35 monthly but visiting every 3 month and telling me he has been with me for 30 minutes but I didn’t get it, I felt insulted, this should not been mentioned, he has my credit card and hope no charges to be made, management need to listen to calls often this is not good starting with new client,
