I made appointment online and they confirmed my appointment right away, reminded it the next day and fit me right in when I got to the shop. They explained what service and the price for it thoroughly, and sent me text for each time they performed service on my vehicle. I wouldn’t say the charge for replacing my battery is good comparing to somewhere else but their customer service was what keeps me going to them. They were willing to bring back the vehicle after completed the services when I asked for a free alignment check . Overall I would strongly recommended this place. I’m definitely coming back whenever I need services for my vehicle!

I went this establishment yesterday in need of getting my brakes done. When I tell you Mr. Roddy is the best, I mean he is the best! I came to get a second opinion and so glad I did. Roddie(hopefully I spelled his name right) was super professional, clearly experienced and all around good guy. He showed me my brake parts so I could make an educated decision on what I needed and what I could afford at the time. On 3/25/21 I had my oil changed and after my oil change they somehow left 1 and misaligned of my undercarriage shield Screws. Which allowed the undercar draft wind to cause it to drag and potentially and fly off? Luckily I was able too pull over to the side of the Highway. I had to pull over on the Highway to finda temporary fix.And I had To go to my regular brake check mechanics the following day to get full diagnosis confirmation 👍with an undercarriage look and see 👀for myself.The mistake that was made.

They didnt do my car BRAKES RIGHT. The manager told me to change the brakes and he will use a PREMIUM brake pads, resurafe the rotors, flush brake fluid (which I didnt need). After paying $240 for just the front wheels, the front brakes started making noises and it is my 3rd visit to them to fix it. Last time I went they told me to drive the car for ten days and if it was making noise, we will fix it. Total waste of my time and my money.

Service and price was good. However brake pad on right front was installed improperly with one return spring positioned on the chamfer on the face of the pad rather than the metal base. After pad wore down some, the spring cut a groove in my rotor.

I came in to have my brakes replaced due to grinding. I was immediately met with a friendly face, and a professional attitude. Brian M. Was great! He talked me through the process, and explained the importance of having my vehicle serviced more regularly. I purchased the lifetime brakes, and will definitely be back soon for an alignment! You have lost another customer. I spent $400 only to find out they didnt fix my issue. I scheduled another appointment and when I went in to drop it off they told me they couldnt do anything. Apparently nobody there can drive a standard transmission. I should have checked these reviews before going in the first place.

I have a lifetime alignment warranty and I cant use it because they always want to up charge and find a reason not to do it. You tell them your parts are only a year and a half old and he is still try to sell me on 400 dollars worth of parts extremely bad business price gouging and up charging terrible service. Then he was removing choks from my truck before letting the lift down until I started watching him.

My vehicular required an alignment after I purchased new tires from another place. Brian the manager at this location of Brake Check, was super helpful. He was very informative and knowledgeable. The service was quick, affordable and great customer service.

My entire family deals with this company when it comes to our breaks. Weve been coming to this particular location for a couple of decades.It is extremely easy to schedule an appointment and when it comes to their customer service, they have some of the friendliest employees around. The prices are fair and theyre flexible.They are in need for a remodel, or just some upkeep, because it looks a little run down, but dont let that prevent you from visiting this establishment.

Point blank - I dont trust mechanics! This dude Robert seems on the up and up. Hes straight forward and seems to know cars. Breaks it down in plain English whats up with your car. No pressure. So we got the work done. Everything seems fine - no issues. Wed go back again for service.

The only reason why I’ll give them a 5 star is because of the young man in the front area. The person working on my car had an attitude when he told us it was done. He must have been upset because I asked that the person training watch and not train on my car. He had to actually work poor guy! Yeah well that’s what you’re there for. I may be back we will see.

I missed my opportunity to actually go to the place. I have an out of town number and it was being ignored several times while i was trying to get information about alignment prices. I used a different number and that was finally answered after 2 attempts. The man answering the phone was very nonchalant about everything, when i brought it to his attention, and all he had to say was I dont know. I asked if maybe they were really busy this morning and he was like why would you say that? Just the phone call experience made me not even want to deal with it sadly.

I am new to Texas and I decided to give them a try without checking BBB! I come in ask about hours and pricing. The following week I come in for an alignment, the guys does it and doesn’t test drive it. I leave my car is still drifting so I call back and the manager said they can rotate the tires. The next day I bring it and their worker breaks a screw. Moving forward no apology, no empathy from anyone in the facility. I ask for corporate number or an email, the manager goes to say they will fix it. So I ask again and he gives me the number. Than he justifies the wrong doing of the employee and I say unto him no need for any justifications. After fixing the broken life in which it’s already been an hour I am at this location, the manager finally gets the screw out and temporarily puts one in place. The manager then makes me aware the part can not come in until tomorrow but he may not be able to do the alignment because he doesn’t want to break another screw. Again no empathy to apologize, to refund my money or anything. Not only did the service suck but the customer service as a store manager as well. No wonder where the employees get it from. I would never suggest to go here. It could have been better if he sprayed the screw with either PB Blaster, WD 40 or some other spray if it was not coming out.

A grease monkey greezed up my door the cloth on my door the carpet on my floor mat and kept my lug lock socket I had to go back instead of offering to get the carpet and door cloth cleaned said they would be more careful next time

On October 17 my daughters car was taken in with very mushy brakes and the master cylinder was replaced for $455.46. On December 5 in League City the brakes failed completely almost causing a serious accident. Car was towed to the Brake Check in Webster, Texas, where they found air in the brake lines which had not been completely cleared when the master cylinder was replaced. Additional repairs were made for $80.30. Additional costs as a result of the first incomplete repair: tow truck $85.00, numerous Uber charges for my daughter to get back and forth to work while having no car...there is no price for the mental and emotional stress caused by having brakes completely fail while driving in heavy traffic!!! I have contacted Brake Checks corporate office numerous times by phone and email requesting a refund for original bad service and subsequent expenses but have had NO RESPONSE AT ALL. Their website stresses brakes done right and they they love to hear from you. Apparently not!

I have been a customer of brake check in San Marcos TX for well over 5yrs. Never had a problem with them, always knowledgeable and helpful. I was in Houston for work and needed an oil change and tire rotation I found brake check # 535 on Highway 6 north and drove in. Richard drove my car into the bay and the 2 people, definitely not mechanics, started work on my car. They raised my car up and proceeded to remove wheels. The very first lug nut removed got stuck in the, apparently wrong size, ratchet. They had to cut it out, which damaged the lug nut. The next lug nut removed was misplaced for about half an hour. Then they proceeded to tell me the lug nuts were swollen!? So they could not finish the tire rotatation. I have never heard of swollen lug nuts! They replaced the damaged lug nut and finished the oil change, I had to remind them several times that they had not tightened the lug nuts. I paid the, overpriced, Bill and was not offered a chance to review. No surprise there! I took my car to another shop to have the other 2 wheels rotated and was told that 2 other lug nuts had been stripped! I paid the additional price for the rotation and 2 new lug nuts. I then proceeded to call their corporate office and received a call back from a Carl who asked for invoice number and specific problem. I described my experience and was reassured all would be resolved. Carl then offered to refund the additional money I spent at 2nd shop. I agreed to accept that as resolution. After waiting a month for that refund, and not receiving it, I called Carl back and he explained there was a mix up in the office and now he was going to double my refund, from $25 to $50. Again, I agreed to that offer. It has now been almost 3 months and no refund! I will never visit that location again and I advise any and all who need service to look elsewhere. Very disappointed with brake check.

I got there at 7:37 am on Saturday for an oil change and it took a little over and hour, which I felt was a little long, but overall service was good. They do have a special where you get 10 dollars off your first oil change and then the 4th one is free which I feel is a pretty good loyalty program. I will definitely go back, but I have seen faster service on the Westheimer location, but I think that was a weekday. Maybe they should have more people working for the weekend.

I took my vehicle in for brakes they have replaced all four rotors on my vehicle and brakes and during the service they damaged my hub bearing there mechanic was trying to takeoff my rotor with the hammer and a big screw so now they are giving me the runaround about reimbursing me for the damage they did to my vehicle I dealt with the manager there his name is William he call himself Bill I at first he was trying to help me to get reimbursed and now he’s giving me the runaround and he don’t answer my text messages no more bad business i am never going back to this place for service

Used a 1/2 price special. This place is not well ran. People always seemed confused about the software on the computer or what step of the process you were waiting on. Glad I only paid what I did. Below average experience.

We took our car in to get the struts and shocks fixed on June 3rd. We spent over $700, but they broke our windshield wipers. They were apologetic and agreed to fix it with a free oil change. Super, except it is July 26th, and we have driven there 7 times and the wipers are still broken. We are currently waiting for a part to come in. We have called the GM to reasonable fix this issue, but we have not gotten a return call. We have lost wages from our jobs trying to resolve this plus all the gas money to drive there and home each time. I would love to post a positive resolution to the issue, but in the meantime be warned.

Stay away. Money hoggers. Do poor job and ask for more money when you say job is not done right.

I like the service at this location however they put the wrong windshield wiper blades on my car. It broke after just 2 weeks while driving. I could have had an accident. I ended up having to go to the nearest place, Pep Boys to get a new set. They were the ones that told me Brake Check put the wrong size blades on. Thats very careless. Will not be purchasing blades from their again.

Need to go back. My brakes have a catch when I stop.

Work had me waiting for 10 mins nd than sees I have a coupon to use for my oil change he wants to tell me that he wont do oil change til 3pm I think because I had a coupon nd if they gonna send the coupon they should allow customers to use them. This is the worst service I’ve ever had! The first mistake I made is I should have left when no one attended to me when I first arrived. I came for an oil change but left with my beautiful sounding car, now sounding awful. After the oil change the did not reset the engine light. I returned into their office and that took another 15 mins to figure out how to change. As I drove off I noticed my car didn’t sound right and accelerating felt/sounded strange. I returned only for the manager to have a dismissive attitude and even told one his workers who offered to check it out some more, not to bother. I will never visit here again. This store gives a bad reputation to Brake Check!

This store ripped me off. I brought my truck in 2 times for an alignment because I purchased a brand new set of 24s for my truck and it needed to be aligned. The first time I didnt pay any attention to the damages because I didnt see the scratches. The second time I noticed because I went to the car wash and cleaned my rims. They scratched all 4 brand new rims which cost 1850. I contacted management and they told me they would open up a dispute. I contacted them for a month straight...never received an update or an answer to what they would do to resolve the issue. I passed by the location 2 days ago to find out what they were going to do and low and behold brake check is no longer there. The next step is taking them to court for the damages. I spoke with a guy named Eddie Guy. Ive been texting him repeatedly and I havent received an answer or return call. Theyre ripping people off and not doing anything. I just want my issue resolved. Im irritated now, how can a store do business so poorly. I will never go to brake check again.

I took my car in for an oil change, tire balance and alignment. Nothing hard right; SIMPLE! I knew I needed tires so I ordered tires and rims from online and that process took 1 week to complete and mail out. So the tires and rims arrived and I took it to a well known tire shop to install and when this shop put the rims on they ask When was the last time someone removed your tires?. It was just a week ago I replied. They informed me the last place striped my studs them. As anyone would be upset, so was I. I called Brake Check and spoke with Rudy, Manager, and informed him what had happen and as any company would defend themselves and employees he ask me to bring the car in. So I did! In order to verify what had taken place a 3 hour job had to be completed. With evidence in hand Rudy did not have to repair my car at all. He didnt call me to discuss he just repaired the damaged studs and nuts. When I arrived to pick up the car we discussed what he found. To my surprise this national tire chain of stores had actually damaged my studs putting the nuts on wrong. Rudy at this Brake Check did not get upset with me nor did he charge me for the parts or labor. It was evidence that the studs was not cross threaded and in-fact the place putting on the rims had striped the studs putting on the nuts. All in all Rudy stood by his word and repaired the studs for free. You may say thats cheap and you would be right but labor on a 2005 Cadillac STS; keep it real people nothings cheap to repair on this car. If you stop and think about it labor is what cost the most anyway. I thank Rudy and his employees at Brake Check #535 for working to please and satisfy a frustrated customer and standing by his word.
