Ive been to Maldives twice and both experiences Ive had awesome services. Every one has been friendly and the shop is very clean and well managed. Both visits I used nail tech Chloe whos been great! Chloe has listened and provide great service, nail art and great quality. I would definitely this shop!

This was a lovely nail salon, nice atmosphere. They even had a bar area for drinks. It’s super close to my place so I thought why not try them. I go for a pedi & dip manicure. These are my nails NOT even a week after I got them done. I was told dip lasts much longer than gel etc. I’d say 4-5 days having his set they started cracking then chipping. To the point my friend told me I should go back into the salon. I’m disappointed because this was $45 and didn’t last a week. Waste of money. Day to day i sit at a desk so no strenuous labor on my nails. I haven’t even washed dishes 🙄 I don’t think I want to return here. Even though it’s so close. Not good quality.

Super friendly and pretty inside. You feel very comfortable, they offer drinks. Been there about 5times now and while prices are a tad bit high, the service& quality match it! I use tech Chloe and she is super friendly and helpful. And very patient because Im not the best in deciding lol. Would def recommend you visit the shop!!

For the past 2 years I have enjoyed coming to get my nails done. Kristen is so kind and great at what she does.

I came to get a new set right before closing. Chloe took great care of me. We laughed, had great conversations and she stayed late to finish my nails. Shes the best. Thank you Chloe!!!

Meggie is AMAZING!! She’s attentive to the details of my nails, especially my cuticles. She works with my schedule every single time, never complain or get frustrated with me. I love her work and recommend her to anyone. It says a lot that I’m driving from Sugar Land just to see her!!

I had such an incredible experience with Chloe today for my dip powder mani and spa pedi. She is an absolute professional with a strong attention to detail and a desire to please her clientele. My experience here was not great. I went here to get a pedi as well as a change of color for my existing dip nails. When I first sat down, the nail technician seemed in a huge rush, she sanded was nails so quick that I had nail powder all over my arms. Then she proceeded with my pedi and she was still rushing and of course she ended cutting me. My toe was bleeding and she kept apologizing for it, I understand things like this happen but then she ran the nail file over my wound again... terrible. My manicure was ok, but my nails were glue to my skin and she would just use a nail file to separe which was quite painful.Overall, my toes had different shapes, some square some rounded and same to my mani. Usually getting a pedi or a mani are suppose to be a relaxing experience but that was not what I experience here. I paid a total of $97 for the service and I was not satisfied.

I literally come here all the time for pedicures. I’ve never had an issue until today. My technician was Angela. I felt she was in a rush. She nipped my cuticles and even went over a second time and she saw my cuticles bleeding. She tried to take out a nail that was not ingrown. I told her my toenail is like that because I’ve had surgery from a ingrown nail before. She then proceeded to mess up my toenail even more. During the “shellac” application she was in such a rush that the first coat of the shellac was still wet. I literally just peeled it off.. Gel polish should not come off that easy. Hopefully the manage can figure something out because I am in so much pain.

I got my nails and toes done today and while they were getting done I noticed that the employers had sharp nails and which pierced my skin and I told Chloe about it because hers really hurt why she pierced my skin which was quite strange to me and unprofessional like don’t why you have to use your nails on my skin. I wasn’t feeling any pain before until this evening when I woke up from my nap and both of thumb are really sore. Although everything else was really good like they were really nice and the nails were really cute.

Very nice. We have been a using their services for several years. The continue to provide excellent work and customer experience. We will be back.

This is what I wanted and this is what I got. Did them so ugly, so thick and literally spent 3 hours for some short nails. Never coming again literally paid $110 for this and pedicure.

They are great at taking appointments and made sure my hands, and my friends wax were done very well!I didn’t like my toes as much though - my bad said they could have done it cleaner but who’s really looking at toes that close? lol

1000⭐️ for Chloe!!!! I been biting my nails since I can remember like BAD BAD!! I’m new to this whole nail business and I was turned down at several locations due to the how chewed down my nails were. One look and they were like nope! It made me just want to give up. Glad I found this spot and they referred me to Chloe. She looked at it and gave me several options to help me restore my nails back to glory! It’s going over a month now. I just can’t believe how it’s turning out. Looking forward to my future appointments. Words can’t explain how thankful I am for everything Chloe I really appreciate ya!!!!!!

They are not clean at all and my dipped powder manicure started cracking the next day. Guess I expected more for $40. This is not where I normally go. This is close to my boyfriend’s house and I needed my nails done. Won’t be back. My nails started chipping within 3 days! My nails normally last for 3-4 weeks when I go to my normal spot. Horrible!

There were 2-3 separate visits where I was given a nail technician had done obvious work that was poor quality. Dip nails were different shapes and thickness levels. Also went and got a pedicure where the polish was painted on and was thick and you could see the lines in the polish. Went I showed the manager each time he would get an attitude with me and act like I was the problem (that’s just your nail bed, it’s the polish you choose etc.) he would eventually redo the work and it would turn out right when he finished. I just got tired of being blamed for poor quality. They are too expensive to only have a handful of good nail techs.

I went to this shop yesterday. As i was sitting and waiting, the owner brought me the colors to choose from and he asked me “why are you so skinny?” I was shocked. I said “what??” And he repeated the question and laughed at me. I’ve never been more uncomfortable and embarrassed in public. As the owner, for him to come and body shame me in front of other guest and in general is ridiculous. People think saying someone is too skinny is ok, but it is the equivalent of saying someone is too fat. I’ll never go back to this shop.

Expensive but mediocre at best. Explained what I wanted and couldnt execute. Wanted nails reshaped after looking at my nails the following day, and am going back today but when explaining to the manager, over the phone, that I wanted the reshape (no attitude or confrontation, work in the service industry so I know how people can be) I mustve been too long winded because he responded with Are you done? twice. I said yes, and then he said he said that because he was busy and just wanted to get my appointment down. I did comment on how that shouldnt have been the response to any customer

I was not impressed with the service. The place is elegant, however. I did not like that my technician painted nail by nail and asked me to place my hand in the Shellac UV lamp after each nail. I am concerned about too much UV exposure for my hands and this was very uncomfortable for me to know I’m overexposing my skin to this lamp just because the technician needed to paint and dry one nail at a time. I was also not asked to wash my hands after she was done with the filing. I am used to other places allowing me to wash my hands before they start painting. Overall, eh okay, not great.

Meggie is the best!!! Before moving to Houston I went to the same nail place for 7 years and when I found Maldives Spa in Houston it was just amazing... even better! Meggie is very professional, patient, respectful and clean. Ask for her!!!!

$63 for acrylic and polish with design (2x heart), price is on the high side. with tip you are at $70 just for nails. It’s a very friendly place, modern, clean. Pedicure quality & time spent on one is a hit & miss. Had some great and some mediocre. Design is not their strength the bellow took 3 people many attempts, pretty much same experience at every visit. Some will correct “mistakes” others need to be pushed. Unfortunately just as with many other places staff speak Vietnamese constantly between each other in front of clients about client, I say unfortunately as it didn’t used to be like that. I am not suggesting they speak ill of clients but it’s unnecessary especially when discussing client. Owner is great, does make every effort to help, insure happy customers. Drinks are offered even mimosa, unfortunately feedback on drink preference didn’t seem to sink in. It’s a hit and miss for service quality but customer service is right on point.

I really wanted to like this nail salon since it’s right by my house, walking distance in fact. However, I just cannot get past the poor customer service and shotty work. I have given them a try on three separate occasions and each time I was disappointed. The prices I think are a bit expensive considering the amenities that they give you. What would be considered a basic pedicure is $36. And even the escalated prices would be bearable if the work was good. Which it is not. My manicures feel sloppy and not polished. Which is the entire reason you’re paying for getting your nails done. Well last time I went was my breaking point. I went mid day on a Saturday for a simple express manicure, which is essentially just a nail polish change. Upon arriving the reception area is in an awkward location. When I finally spoke to the Asian man at the counter he told me they didn’t have any room for me. He didn’t even indicate a wait time, just that my business wasn’t wanted. I was shocked turned right around and left. They won’t be getting any of my money. I believe the only reason they even survived this long is because they are the only nail salon in the neighborhood. If they were bought out and got new management and employees it could be a success. But as it is now, AVOID.

I visited this place twice and the service was trash I’m very disappointed! They won’t be getting my business anymore and as matter of fact I hope they business do not succeed and shut down!!!!!! Ive been a customer at Maldives for three years. This is the longest relationship Ive had with a nail salon. It is always clean, and the service is always great. I go to see My every two weeks for a mani/pedi, and she is fantastic. They are taking precautions for coronavirus, including social distancing between customers, mask requirements and partitions between customers and technicians at the manicure stations.

I enjoy getting my nails done here. Its a walking distance from the rail too. Its close to places to eat as well. The women are very prompt. I came early for an appointment and they were ready.

I love it here! Chloe is my nail tech. She does great designs and takes her time when doing your nails. She is amazing. Always make sure to book an appointment if you decide to go to her! She stays busy!

I just left this beautiful establishment, and while the vibe was great the service was not. I really want to like this place because its close to my home and the staff are friendly, however my nail tech was so rough with my nails that Im walking out of there with bleeding and peeling cuticles. She never apologized for hurting me and they were unwilling to provide me a discount for giving me open wounds on five of my ten fingers.Im disappointed that I had to pay $70 and Im walking away from an experience that was supposed to be relaxing and pleasurable, but ended up being painful and frustrating.This was not my first time there and it was not my first experience of mediocre services, but i wanted to give it another chance. the fact that she made me bleed on a file board and then put it back in her drawer to use for the next client was also disgusting and makes me question sanitation practices.Theres potential there and I wish this business best of luck. As stated above the energy and vibes are relaxing but the services that I received left me stressed out.

I decided to try this place for the first time and I was really looking forward to this experience based off the reviews and I was disappointed. The massage during my pedicure was fantastic. But the technician messed up my pinky toe nail polish and she corrected it but forgot to put a top coat. Then the place started to get full of people and I felt that my manicure was rushed. My shellac nail polish looks bumpy and I aske that one of my rings fingers be a glitter and she forgot to do that to. I feel that every technician needs to take their time even though there is people waiting.

This is the 3rd time Ive visited this salon. The 1st time they had only been open for a month, so I figured the subpar pedi I got there was maybe because they werent really yet established. So, I tried again several months later for a mani/pedi - still not good.This will be the last time I come in, as by now, the salon should have it together. I came in this time for a manicure and brought a male friend with me for a manicure with nail buffing. I got the Classic Maniure and he got the Express. Once again I am disappointed. The only difference between Express and Classic is that the nail tech rubbed some lotion on my arms and hands. I guess it was supposed to be a massage, but it wasnt.The tech did not clean all of the polish off my nails and did not thoroughly clean under my nails either. She shaped my nails, but left the ends rough. The polish application was OK, but I had to tell her to clean up around my nails as she left polish on my cuticles and skin. Im pretty sure the polish will chip within a day.My friend had it even worse. Though the tech cut his nails, buffed them, and took care of his cuticles, the ends of his nails were uneven and rough. They charged an extra $5 to buff, which Ive never even heard of before.TL;DR - this place does not give good manis or pedis. Go elsewhere.Edit: I was generous thinking it would take 24 hours to chip. Nope, 2 hours later doing nothing that should cause chipping and already chipped. Total waste of time and money. See 3rd pic.

Pretty expensive which is fine .. but twice I have been and gotten the pedicure that includes a shoulder massage and twice have not gotten my massage.. so I do not like paying extra money for services that I don’t receive. Probably will not be back

This was my first visit to this salon and I will be back for sure. Chloe was my nail tech and she did a wonderful job. I got acrylic tips with dip powder. (I think thats what its called. Ive never gotten dip before) they look so natural and she worked really fast with good conversation. She made me feel very welcome. The salon itself is really new and clean and modern. Very good value for the price and location. I also got my eyebrows waxed. Overall a great experience.

I called for an appointment and was told to come in now. I live 8 minutes away. When i got there there were 5 people waiting and a packed house. Why couldn’t they have said that over the phone?

First time here and I walked in at maybe 6:15. Did a full set-color and a deluxe pedicure. Maggie did my pedicure and she took her time and gave me one of the best pedicures I’ve ever had. Jay did my full set and shapes them nicely. Definitely coming back! Most places I’ve gone to I feel that my service is rushed but not here it was great! Prices are a bit on high end. With tip it was about $105.

I was a regular of Q nails, but with them closing, I’ve been going here. Overall, it’s OK. Don’t count on an appointment meaning anything, especially if they are busy. Additionally, my nails have chipped after pedicures here faster than anywhere else. I only keep coming back because they are a bit cheaper and if they are not busy, it’s very fast.

Good pedicure but nothing out of the ordinary. We got 2 deluxe pedicure which said it came with shoulder massage but did not receive it. They offered us something to drink which was very nice. It was a very clean environment.

Calming placeUpdate: I go here on the regular but today I was highly dissatisfied. Normally, I dont have any complaints, but went in today (03/21/19) for a refill and pedicure. The tech I never had before. She was rough and handled me unpleasantly. She was unfriendly and when it was time for my nails told her I wanted the dipped power. She claimed I told her I wanted shellac, which I never get bcuz I dont like it and claimed I had to get a darker color if she did powder....she was literally tugging and pushing my hands away when she was done with each foot/finger. I dont like NOT tipping but if youre low key rude and passive aggressive to customers, thats bad business.

I always come here and I’ve never had an issue this was my 1st time coming back since Texas closed and i had made my appointment at 2:30 when i got there there seemed to be no one available and i was still going to have to wait to be attended. I’ve never been so disappointed in the service until today. I waited 15 minutes and decided to just leave after that because who knows how much longer it would have been. I know before when i had appointments before COVID they had a tech ready for you at the time you arrived. It sucks that i didn’t get that same service with appointment that should be honored even more to promote social distancing

The nail technician assigned to complete my pedicure was Angela. She did not greet me as I walked over to the spa area. During my pedicure Angela sliced opened my skin while cleaning my cuticles which resulted in pain and bleeding. She then proceeded to forcibly hold my feet down to prevent me from leaving after I expressed that they pain was too bad for me to continue with the appointment. At no time was I given an apology for my horrible experience by Angela or the manager on duty. I a firm believer in selectively patronizing businesses that respect its customers and Maldives Spa & Nails is clearly more concerned about making a dollar than the safety of the client. I will NEVER give my business to their establishment again. Its unfortunate that the only nail spa in the community has the wrong attitude about the people in the community it serves. There is never an excuse for POOR service.

After yelping around to find a quality nail salon close to home I came across Maldives... 8 minutes away from home so it met the proximity standard... Quality and service was perfect... My nail tech was very friendly and welcoming... Nice selection of mani and pedi spa quality services to choose from... I went for a regular manicure and pedicure which I was very pleased with... The environment was relaxing and spa like... Cant wait to return to try my usual dip mani and another fabulous pedi...

I have visited this shop several times before. Great services. Mimosas and wine. HOWEVER. This time I was seated at the bar to allow my nails to dry. On the counter the there are three jars with foot soak additives in it, such as chamomile and other herbs. THERE WERE BUGS CRAWLING IN ALL THE JARS. TOTALLY GROSS. I informed the nail technician. Who ignored me and continued to her next client.

The only reason why I went here is because my house is a block away, this place is overly priced with mediocre results. A refill for nails were $62 dollars. I asked how much it would be and she said $40 initially. After the service was done she continue to add prices, also added a five dollar charge of just extra.:: I proceeded to ask what is that for? I just went my initial thought of it just being a tip and added it for gratuity. So moral of the story will not be going again. I do not care how close it it, I will drive right past it.

LOVE the nail dipping here. My and Maggie are two awesome technicians who always give me quality dip powder nails which are both thin and strong. I come every 3-4 weeks and rarely have any issues in between visits with broken or weak nails. The best part about this salon is the friendly staff, and mimosas given when you book a service over $35.

We love Maldives’! As patrons for over a year, for our nail services, we’ve built a great rapport with some of the Maldives staff. The guys up front are personable and always ready to greet you with a smile. We’ve been serviced by most of the nail techs and though we’ve settled on our favorites, (which I shall not reveal—lest they’ll be too booked for me.) you’re sure to enjoy your experience with any of them. All are talented and patient when working with you to achieve your ideal nail look.

Only came for a pedicure but was so wonderful. The music is trendy and not too loud but a nice level that you can hear it and still be comfortable having a conversation or just relaxing. The chairs are a pretty color and comfortable. The technician was very accommodating and nice. Great drinks.

Today was my very first visit here and will be my LAST! I walked in and asked if they had time for a mani and pedi because I knew I was a little late and wanted to be respectful of their time. They said yes, and who seemed to be the manager confirmed they could achieve the specific design I was looking for after showing him a picture. My actual nail technician told me she could not do the design. I then asked for her to do a regular manicure instead. Rather than losing the sale (I went from shellac to regular nail polish) the nail tech reassured me she could do the requested design. Once she started working on my nails, she could not wait to get me out of there and told me she could only do my shellac nail polish (and at the time, the design) and next time she’ll do a manicure.The color scheme she was going for was no where near what I asked. When I brought it to her attention she said, “it doesn’t have to be exact.” Um, yes. Yes it does if that’s what I am asking for. Long story short I was disappointed and bummed because this nail salon is walking distance from my apartment but I’ll rather drive 20 minutes to my regular salon than ever go back.The pedicure technician was an angel though!

Ive always lived in the area. I will say this is my NEW FAVORITE SPA&NAIL PLACE. JUST LOVE IT. yes its a bit pricey but its worth it! I went in for a walk-In. They saw me asap. & ms.chloe did amazing work. 5-stars !! Spend $160 (including $10 tip) great service.

So far, Ive been here twice. Once in May, and then today. The salon is very nicely decorated and clean. Everyone has been friendly and I have no complaints about how my nails look when I leave. I usually do shellac on my toes, dip on my nails, and eyebrow & lip waxes. My nail tech today did not give the greatest pedicure. The lotion/massage part was underwhelming. She quickly rubbed lotion into my calves, like I would do rushing out after a shower, and she didnt even spread the lotion to my feet or rub my feet at all. I dont care really, if I want my feet rubbed right, I go to Chinatown. So mainly, I just go to the nail shop to have my nails done. But, if youre really wanting a good foot rub, make sure you politely mention to the nail tech what you are expecting in that area before your pedicure, so that you arent disappointed.

This is THE BEST in this side of town. Great for big events; even when you’re the sole star. I feel respected, comfortable and treated well when I purchase services here. I have been going to Maldives Nail Spa since I moved to EADO almost a year ago. I love this place! Everyone is very friendly. Also Meggie is wonderful ! She does my nails exactly how I like them. She also makes me try new colors that I wouldn’t otherwise and I end up loving them and getting lots of compliments. I wish there were two Meggies so I could get my manicure and pedicure done at the same time! She also makes the best coffee!

For $98 (refill and pedicure). I should receive quality service. Instead I stayed two hours on 7-22-19 and left with a great pedicure by Yvonne but with square nails when I asked for coffin shape. I went outside to notice in the sun light that my entire left hand of nails appeared transparent so I returned 7-23-19 to sit and wait for Ti to ask me to sit and wait. Apparently, she didnt want to fix Yvonnes work. Never again! Youre a team and the first person obviously couldnt get it right. Terrible

This place is always very welcoming. Love how well it’s kept and the staff is always friendly. It’s definitely a place to come and treat yourself. Don’t let the neighborhood fool you, just stop on in!

Liked how my nails came out very much but they didnt do a uv gel coating on my dipping nails, like it says on the website. Ive had more done to my nails for dipping for less $$.So, I have gotten a better value elsewhere. However, its a beautiful salon and free drinks :)

Let me just start with WOW. I am very impressed. I called a few hours before I could come in, yes they take walk ins, and when I arrived I was immediately greeted. I was given one of the largest selections of dip powder colors to choose from, and they said they are getting more! I was able to get a full set and my eyebrows waxed in about 1 hour, and yes my nails and eyebrows look incredible. I could not be happier. I think I found my favorite place! Oh not to mention, the staff are so fun and interactive, you will feel like youve been going there for ever.

The salon is gorgeous, spacious and decorated in a smoothing ocean blue color. The salon always have soothing music playing and they have complimentary coffee, water and tea. Go see them!!

Ive been coming here for several months now and my experience is always exceptional. The atmosphere is relaxing, the spa is clean and inviting, and all of the technicians are professional. The average price for my services (deluxe pedicure & dip powder mani) is $80, but I enjoy an hour unplugged with a glass of wine and well-deserved pampering.
