This is the worst place I have ever been. The lady in the receiving is so rude and don’t know what is she doing she is old as hell
I typically dont write reviews but this is the worse company ever. Their response time is poor as well as their service. On two separate occasions they delivered a T.V. to me from a company I purchased it from. Both times I took off of work only to be told at the last minute that my T.V. would not be delivered on that day. Please steer away from this company. They are horrible. I would give it a zero if I could.
I was to receive freight from Colorado but the sender did not include my information for the scheduler to set an appointment to deliver. I called the corporate office and they were supposed to make the arrangement at 10:00 a.m. for me to pick up at the terminal at the terminal on Railwood. I waited for an hour and a half with no one doing anything on either side administratively. Finally I went to the will call and two guys took it upon themselves to expedite the approval, personally pull the order and load me up so I was not sitting there waiting all day. Both guys were black, one guy had glasses and a gray beard and I think the other guys nickname was Trashcan. Regardless, I really appreciate those guys going above and beyond so I wasnt wasting my time waiting all day. Thanks for being the only good part of my first experience with Saia.
Dear god whatever you do DO NOT pay these people to deliver something. They give you a window, you miss work for the delivery, AND THEY DONT SHOW UP ! THEY HAVE ZERO RESPECT FOR YOUR TIME. AND HAVENT EVEN THE COMMON COURTESY TO GIVE YOU A HEADS UP! RENT A TRUCK AND GO GET IT YOURSELF !! ITLL NOT ONLY BE CHEAPER BUT YOU WONT BE LEFT SITTING FOR HOURS WAITING FOR SOMETHING THAT DOESNT SHOW THE DAY THEY SAID! LET ME TAKE MYLTIPLE DAY OFF TO HAVE A TOOL BOX DELIVERED, THATS REALISTIC! ROBOTS CANNOT REPLACE THESE PEOPLE FAST ENOUGH!!!!

This will be the fourth day in a row that the delivery has been confirmed and they have no showed.Hate writing bad reviews but theyre the worst freight company we have used.
Worst freight company in Houston. Security directs you to go to the ramp in the back. Then you wait. For an hour for someone to acknowledge your existence only to tell you to go to shipping and receiving and they can help. You have 1 person in shipping and receiving that you can deal with...Peggy. And what is she doing... Sleeping. Everyone else refuses to help and God forbid someone else help or wake her up to do her job. They may be a cheaper company for freight but I dont recommend them at all. Dont waste your time with this company.
When it absolutely has to be there on time - best try a different carrier. So far its taken them 6 days to do what they claim to do in 2. And the big number is subject to change - without notice. Surely Saia must mean Sorry in some strange language.
The truck driver was extremely rude to our employees in regards to a delivery. We let him know that we would have someone there in a few minutes, our guys get to our warehouse 7-8 minutes later, and there was no driver. They called, and let me know, we attempted to call him back, then they leave after waiting for an extended period of time. The driver then called the store back, and was rude, and said that he was a couple doors down doing another delivery. Warehouse guys do not see any trucks on the road, or near or around the corner, so they left. Saia driver then calls the store and is extremely rude to the both of the girls at the store (on two separate occasions while they were calling the warehouse people to come in.) Driver was snarky, rude, combative, and would speak over the women on the phone. The energy was partially reciprocated (not to the same degree), then the employee apologized to the driver for reciprocating his rude behavior. Truck gets unloaded within 6-8 minutes after last phone call conversation, truck driver then decides to be rude to the warehouse guy who came in on his day off to handle this, and then made the comment of if someone is to catch an attitude with him, that we can drive to Houston to pick up our things. IF THE TRUCK DRIVER SIMPLY WOULD HAVE WAITED NOT EVEN TEN MINUTES, NONE OF THIS WOULD HAVE EVER HAPPENED. IF HE WAS NOT RUDE ON THE PHONE TO ANYONE IT WOULD NOT HAVE HAPPENED. This is by far some of the most unprofessional behavior we have encountered. I do not recommend using this company to anyone, and Im going to look for new manufacturers that do not use this service. We will not have our employees talked to like that.
We ordered three different filing shelves all from same manufacturer but different distributors. The first two came through UpS and product was damaged, boxes were torn, and drivers were complaining about the weight. We had to help them bring our product into office. The third was delivered by SAIA and they called us the day before to ask our business hours to make sure someone would b here. Their driver Adrian Beltran knocked on our back door with package already on his dolly outside our door, No complaints and in a very good mood. I was very impressed. He even explained a few things about delivery. Thanks Adrian.
The roads are terrible leading here!!!!
No stars for them sit in a dock for 6 hours to get 39 pallets unload and when they did start took them 45 minutes umloaded there trucks in before me
They had trailer ready to go. I was in and out inside of 15 minutes.
No show Thursday reschedule for a Monday pick up and no show today!! This is unacceptable service.

Ive picked up several shipments here and the staff is always great to interact with. They dont keep me waiting long and the guys are always helpful to offload the pallets and get my truck loaded.
Dangerous drivers and a safety department that doesnt care. One of their drivers tried to hit me head on. I reported the incident to their safety department, I was told that they would contact me about the incident. They never did.

Been here 5 hrs. Still not unloading me. Better park out on the street dont pull into the drive. You gotta keep it clear for there drivers. The security guard will make you back out on the bizy street. There are no signs for this. Ive read most of the comments on here an they are true. Hell I heard it wasnt a good company in Oklahoma. I see Houstons even worse.I had a chance to work for them a few years back but changed my mind. Its a very good thing I didnt. Lord help me out of this one.

Worst shipping ever.... they delivered my package at 9pm after telling me it would be around 1pm. The delivery guy had been working since 8 am and the poor guy was tired. He ended up dropping off the wrong package (which was a very large package btw) after telling him it was wrong right before he drove off he happily offered to give me the right one. After getting the right one in my garage upon inspection I saw a huge fork lift hole through the side and it destroyed my merchandise....it’s been 2 days and still Hve t heard what they are gonna do about it...told him to take it back, but nothing about a replacement yet..
Cant get their act together. These people are very unreliable. They didnt deliver my package yesterday when it was supposed to be delivered, this morning just got a call saying that it would not be here today either because this delivery company didnt have a delivery route in my area today and they would bring it tomorrow. What the heck kind of delivery company is this? Dont trust this company if you need timely service.
Always poor service. No effort or urgency to get freight out on time. Wont even contact the driver to get an ETA. I will be sure to advise all of our vendors to NOT use saia in the future.
Worst freight company ever, when you schedule your pick up they never show up!! When you call them and ask where your driver is at they tell you hes always 5 minutes away but the truth is they are hours away and they wont pick up your freight until the next day. Dont waste your time go somewhere else.
They failed to show up on 3 occasions and when they finally did come, half of the shipment was broken in half. The delivery man had a bad attitude and said, Yeah, I figured it was broke, leading me to believe it was his mistake. I wasnt upset about it because mistakes happen. But, he told us wed get a call the next day to schedule the new delivery. We didnt hear from anyone for four days so I had to call them. Apparently, he never logged our delivery or our refusal of the damaged piece so when I called the product company to get information on the status of a redelivery, they had no record of anything and didnt even know what part of the delivery we needed resent. I was eventually told by a manager that the original delivery man kept the damaged product on his truck for over one week, I can only assume because he didnt want them to know he damaged it. I was told wed receive the new delivery the following week, on Wednesday. I made sure to have him PROMISE. I took off work for the third time and we got a call from Saia on Wednesday, the day of delivery, saying theyd be there between 12 and 7 pm the next day. I said no because I made arrangements to be there today, like they promised, for the third time! The lady gave me a huge attitude and said, Well, was it actually scheduled for today? and put me on hold for the supervisor. She came back on the phone and said, The best we can do is tonight around 7pm. I said that was fine and she hung up on me MID SENTENCE. THEY NEVER CAME. They showed up after 4 oclock the following day and I refused the delivery saying I already called the product company to issue me a full refund. This delivery man had another attitude telling me I wish someone had called me to tell me not to come so I could have gone to another customer. I told him I would have appreciated not having to take off work 3 different days only to have them not show up. He also said. I dont know anything about that when I told him he was supposed to be here yesterday. Based on this experience and every conversation I have had over the course of 3 weeks with employees at SAIA, it seems they have no sense of responsibility or business ethics of any sort. Every single person I interacted with at this company was rude, acted deceitfully, lied to me just to get me off the phone, failed to communicate with each other or pass information on, and worked at their own leisure not caring about the customer at all. I will not only never use this company again, but theyve also lost every possible customer that has since heard my story. After this incident, I call every single company Im considering buying a product from to make sure they dont do business with SAIA in any way.
SAIA lost a shipment from New Orleans to Houston for a brand new client that was in a rig down situation. After I told SAIA not to deliver the lost shipment when they located it a day too late, because I had to purchase replacement material and it was already going. They did it anyway, so I got to look even more incompetent in the new customer’s eyes. I also had to pay $775.00 to send the replacement material on a direct hot shot along with the new material. SAIA added the ultimate insult by bringing back the lost freight that they found in Shreveport, completely damaged. In a nutshell, they did every aspect of this shipping process wrong. If I could give less than zero I would. NEVER use this company. Terrible treatment of material, drivers that are late and could care less about handling product, rude customer service, and incapable of fixing a negative situation. I ended up out of pocket $3,339.50 dollars. I am a veteran in year two of starting my new business. This hurt badly, and they could care less.
Never had a problem with pick up or delivery! They are one of the more reliable trucking companies.
When I drop off at my SAIA terminal, the item weighs 100 lbs. When its weighed in Houston terminal, they add between 50 lbs to 100 lbs and charge me between $100.00 to $300.00 extra. I filed for refund and finally got it after 8 months. Today I got notice of another shipment overcharge. Someone at that Houston office is crooked.
Be prepared to give DNA and a blood sample just to get on the property. Corporate and complicated. Much prefer Southeastern trucking or Roadrunner Transport.

Driver called and said he was 25 minutes away. We waited an hour called and called the driver to find out where he was and had to leave. Left a note on the door to leave undamaged freight off of the skid in the driveway.The driver called said no one was home. He was at the wrong residence. gave him instructions to go to our house he did found the note said he would not leave it. I called the supervisor he said he would not leave it. After 20 minutes of arguing and understanding that I needed the items they were delivering and that they did not care I told them I would call the vendor and tell them not to use this delivery company any more. Terrible customer service!!!!!!!!
Worse service imaginable. We guaranteed two shipments with them and failed both times. When we wanted to rescue the freight, they assured us they would send it out for delivery the following day and failed again. The have very bad customer service. Do not move freight with them.

Just came down a residential street that I happen to live on in Spring, Texas. The speed limit on this street is 30 MPH and this driver was doing somewhere between 50 & 60 Mph endangering children, pets & residents with little or no concern. I took it upon myself foolishly to follow this truck as to retain all information as to REPORT TO HIS EMPLOYER & COMPANY HE IS CONTRACTED TO OF THIS !!The driver upon seeing me taking down his information who also had seen me yelling at him previously as he FLEW DOWN the street to SLOW DOWN, then approached me in a hurried manner and then told me THIS IS NOT THE TIME !! IN A LOUD & Threatening Manner while also Yelling Out I Did Not Know Who He Was !! To which I responded Oh, I know, who you are, you are the driver Im now reporting to your Superiors.Hence, my taking the time to report this To SALA LTL Freight And To Which I Do EXPECT & DESERVE A RESPONSE !!A TRULY SAD REPRESENTATION OF YOUR COMPANY AND IF I RECIEVE NO RESPONSE, IT WILL ON TO THE B.B.B NEXT - Thank You
Great company to work for if you are familiar with freight...opportunity to move up...I have been working here almost 2 1/2 years and have gotten a $7.25 raise.If your not lazy and can get to work everyday its for you.
Never on time... Ever... Seriously... Ever... No, really, just add 3 days to whatever they tell you and then cross your fingers and plan on the forth day. In fact, if you go on a week cruise the day after they say it will be delivered, youll return and still have a few days to wait.

Dell shipped our last server thru Saia and the tracking no. could not be tracked so I went to the Saia Live Chat line 2x. No one ever answered. Horrible experience for me so far. I cannot track our shipment. Contacted Dell, now Im waiting on them......so sad
We have a driver say we were closed at 1:24 in the afternoon. There was 20 cars in parking lot. Can you say simple minded person. Yes sloppy person and customer service just flat out did not try to help at all

They called me 2 times to set-up and confirm delivery of an item including day-of call, had me waiting at home all stinkin day and never showed up, very very inconsiderate. Would never use them again.
Take your scheduled delivery time and add 12 hours, and that would be on a good day for them so dont count on it.
This company has horrible customer service they lied to me more than once and dont care about deliveries.
