Price to change out fader on controller $300Got it done somewhere else for $120, definitely not using them,
If/when you rent a uhaul truck there, better make sure they are open, even if your reservation has been confirmed. I learned the hard way and found myself with a moving crew in front of a closed gate and no truck.If/when you rent a truck there, realize that they won’t let you in to the front desk. They only do business via the phone and you’re kept waiting behind a locked gate. Mind you, it might take you 6 call to finally get an answer.If/when you rent a uhaul truck there, make sure the number of the truck matches that in your contract. Trust me, it becomes a nightmare to check-out if the 2 don’t match. Dont expect any help from APM Electronics in fixing this by the way.If/when you rent a uhaul truck there, … once you finally reach them on the phone, you are asked to go back to your car and wait there. Dont expect them to walk up to your car and hand you the keys. No, they’ll likely walk out unnoticed and place the keys on a little table inside the fence … if you miss this you might find yourself waiting for the keys of your truck for a long time.Uhaul, you must really have very low service standards to allow APM Electronics to represent you?
Very unprofessional! They are so RUDE!
Positive: they did eventually fix my AV receiverNegatives:-terrible customer service. Had to drop my expensive equipment off through a fence. (Covid protocol). I was not given a receipt or record of acceptance. Just told to call back in two weeks.-my name and phone number was recorded on a scrap piece paper but when I call back to get an update they had no idea who I was when I provided them the same information.-there were entire days where I tried to call and no one answered. Sometimes the automated message was that the phone line has been disconnected.-I got my equipment back three weeks later by going to the building (I couldn’t get through to anyone on the phone for days). No paperwork was provided. I asked what was fixed and they person giving my equipment back said “I have no idea”.It’s just a really shady operation. For all I know, they could have replaced a cheap part to fix my issue and gutted all the expensive parts out of my system.I can’t believe a highly respected brand would choose this place as their official warranty repair service. There is nothing official about it!To give you an idea, this business doubles as a Uhaul rental store.
If you want to rent U-Haul here, take your business somewhere else. The front desk was rude and condescending at best. We reserved online and she couldn’t find the reservation. Once we completed all the reservation steps again inside she wouldn’t let us decline the U-Haul insurance and use our private insurance even though we just went through this process seamlessly at the Louisiana street location 2 days ago. Customer service went out the window at this site.
Closed gates and doesn’t answer their phone. Do not rent a U-Haul from here.
Less than impressed. These guys were referred to me on the chance they might be able to repair my speaker. I asked if I could speak with a tech to see if they serviced the speaker I was going to bring in and was told no, all I can do is bring it in and they will look at it but the minimum charge is $75. I asked if I could at least ask them if they were familiar with my speaker as I was told parts were hard to come by and was told no, bring it in and it would cost $75. I would move on to someone else if you can.
Rented U haul truck. Quick fast and uber covid safe. Truck was ready to go after booking on u-haul site.
We left our gate key by mistake with their key, they deny that we did just to not look for it!
Sony 55 inch 4K. Brightness and contrast flickering slightly. Took it here per Sony’s chat technician request. Didn’t contact me for 2 weeks until I called. They said “it’s the main board which is around 850$”!! Having a main board issue is pretty serious. Tv turning off or on randomly, huge picture issues. This was a minor brightness flicker. I said no thanks and picked it up and drove to a well received place in the woodlands. Dropped it off 12pm and they called 4:30 pm informing me it was my led driver. They fixed it for 220$ and I picked it up within 24 hours. The problem has been fixed. I would heavily not recommend this place. To think I would’ve been out 850$ is insane!
Ive had multiple interactions with APM Electronics and its always been a pleasant experience. Although I could not come to an agreement with the manufacturer of my TV to resolve the issue, any contact I had with the staff at APM was very respectful, professional, and courteous. Not sure why there are so many complaints about rude staff. Id definitely would like to do business with them as necessary. Big thanks to you guys!
I took my DJ board for repair to APM Electronics, they told me upfront the fee & that they were 1 week behind. I waited and call a few days later, I was told we will be on it in two days. sure enough. Technicians are very straight forward in regards to repair detail & cost. Long story short, they are professionals & very knowledgeable, my equipment is in perfect working condition and they are good people. I will continue to bring my equipment to them. Great job & Thank you APM.
Rude and unprofessional
Referred to this place by LG to do repair on my Sound Bar. They charged me a little over $80 to just look at my device. $50 of which would go towards the repair if I choose to continue with repair after diagnosis.5 days after leaving the equipment with them the receptionist calls me on a Friday and tells me it will be over $200 for repair after the $50 was taken off.(Why would someone charge that much to repair a sound bar that is only worth $150 on its best day brand new out the box?)I voiced my dismay then hung up. She then calls me back a few minutes later to say she misquoted. The price drops to $80. I agree to the repair however the one stipulation is I pay with a card over the phone right then and there. I was uncomfortable with that and told her Id prefer to come in and pay. Her tone changed over the phone. She tells me the technician will not start work till he receives payment. I totally understand.Fast forward to the following Tuesday Morning. I come in to make payment so work can start. I am met by the same receptionist I talked to prior over the phone. Mysteriously my service history has been erased and the price has increased back over $250 even after calculating in the $50 from diagnosis . $179 of which is just the cost of labor. Not including parts. (Note: labor cost more than the purchase of a new unit).I guess my biggest frustration comes from lack of transparency in pricing and the constant fluctuations in price. And theres no price balance.Youre charging me big ticket pricing for a small ticket item. And the lack of knowledge from the receptionist part. Seems like she was making up prices, rules, and regulations as she was going along.
I don’t normally post reviews, no seriously, I never do. (Also posted on yelp)My occupation is in customer service, and I know when a company is incapable of providing healthy customer service.First off, I wasn’t nearly upset when I called APM Electronics.I was told by Pioneer to send my equipment in to this third party company (APM) they contracted to do their warranty work. You’d think it’d be a seamless process. To anyone reading this, have you ever had a product (so dear to you) under warranty, sent it in for repair under instruction from the manufacturer, and then have the contracted third party repair company contact you because they don’t have enough proof that you’re the owner of the product? First off, no. I paid for the equipment. I proved this to the manufacturer already, otherwise they wouldn’t have paid for my repair and shipping. On top of that, they’re getting paid by Pioneer for the repair. You’ve done this before. Why are you contacting me and not the manufacturer who informed me to send this to you? If APM isn’t getting paid by pioneer to carry out the repair, it would make sense as to why they’re taking their frustrations out on me, but I know they’re getting paid because they’re contracted at either a flat rate or on an individual repair basis paid out monthly or however long. Rude receptionist, too. Very inconsiderate to the circumstances, she was taking out her frustrations on me. Why are you frustrated? I just sent you over $1k worth of equipment and you’re frustrated? I haven’t seen my equipment in 3 weeks. I am allowed to be frustrated, and I am now; but I was respectful on the phone, unlike the receptionist. When I asked once, nicely, for her to repeat the email address for me to send my additional information to, she asked “are you done yet?” I laughed after she hung up, but I was very respectful the whole time, explaining my frustrations exactly without being rude, informed her that pioneer had sent them an email on my behalf that would clear everything up, to which she claimed they didn’t receive. You didn’t even look. You’re ridiculous. I don’t wish bad upon people, and I still won’t, but if I did, I’d request for you to be fired. In an age where most markets and industries are over saturated, decent electronics repair companies are tough to find, apparently. If you value your time, your money, your sanity, and respect from customer service, do your homework and find a good one that isn’t as confusing as this one.Highly unprofessional. Horrible experience. Feel bad for the owners, hire a young person who’s more motivated to treat customers properly. Hope I see my equipment soon...If someone from the company sees this, I’d love to discuss in more detail what exactly happened, and if you have recordings of the phone call, I’d love to review it with you.
Called to get a quote for Pioneer electronics repair, and was told I could pay $75.00 to get a quote for repairs. I could be wrong about my diagnoses, but I would like to know before I pay $75.00 if the repair is even worth doing. Customer service was rude, and did not care about getting new business. Read other reviews, this company does not care about repairing items, only making $75 for bringing your electronics in. If they were so successful as an electronic repair shop, why do they have to have a uhaul rental place as well? Would not reccomend this this company
Nothing matches WHATABURGER if burgers are on your menu. Quality has improved over the past 3 to 4 months. Fast, prompt service.
Extremely rude and unprofessional. I called to confirm my U-Haul reservation and the response I received was, “I don’t know who you are or why you called, but I’m going to put you on hold then transfer you because we’re only a neighborhood dealer.” She proceeded to put me on hold for almost five minutes. Another operator answered and said, “Hello, my name is Michelle. How can I help you?” Immediately followed by, “wait, it’s busy. Hold on.” I was then hung up on. Terrible service. I cancelled my reservation with them and chose a different U-Haul facility instead.
I brought my home theater receiver in for repair and received excellent service. The staff was courteous and answered my questions honestly. A part had to be ordered to fix the receiver and within a week I picked it up for a fair price. I would recommend APM to friends and family.
I took in my receiver to find out what was wrong with it. I’m pretty handy with electronics, but this one problem I couldn’t figure out. After leaving it with them for two weeks I called to see how it was coming along. They said they were still looking into it. After two more weeks I went to store and was told the technician was on vacation. After a month and a half of hearing nothing from them I went to find out what was going on. They told me I was being impatient. I think 6 weeks is patient enough.Honestly I’m not even that mad that I dropped $75 to be told I wasn’t patient. What pissed me off the most was that they didn’t have the decency to reach out to me once. Every time it was me calling or going to them. In the end I payed 75 dollars to be told they’re looking into the problem.
The man showed up with parts ready to be installed in my TV at my home and on time. He was very helpful, polite and thorough. He was done in about 10 to 15 minutes. I would recommend this company to anyone out there. I was given a 6 month run around by another tv repair company so I was very greatful to see that this guy is not like that at all!
You ever get the feeling that someone really wants to rip you off? well, a combination of rude staff and that exact feeling sent me running off like there is no tomorrow. I would suggest that you find a more friendly repair shop or someone who wouldnt demand a $75 inspection charge without even ask you about the issue.
Worst place ever employees are very rude. Not helpful at all just keep asking for more money without fixing he problem stay far away from this place please
My TV couldn’t be fixed, but that in no way was APM’s fault. They were helpful and pretty transparent throughout the process. I thank them for their help!
Amazing service...fixed my receiver under warranty...hassle free
LG authorized repair? Waited around all day. No showed for an appointment. Didn’t answer the phone.
The receptionist is very rude and will not recommend them to anyone. I have no idea why LG uses a company that have just poor reviews on this page. Remember your first impression is a lasting one.
We used APM as our pick up location for our cross country move with Uhaul. We had a large 20 truck and we were getting a car carrier as well to pull carry a vehicle behind the truck. The service was great, friendly and very helpful. I recommend this location!
They came out for a warranty repair. After two mother boards not working correctly, (not their fault) the owner came back out and diagnosed that the new motherboard which could be used for several TVs was not programmed for our paricular TV. (Very uncommon). He researched and reprogrammed the board, the TV works perfectly now. I appreciate the attitude of wanting to get it right. Thanks to the owner for going the extra mile and not just ordering another mother board, that would not have worked either. Super nice and professional.
Came the next day. Mike was professional, quick and explained repairs and cost after he checked out plasma tv. Reasonable price to repair. recommend and would use again
Repairs were completed quickly, on time and at very good prices. They know various equipment well and can tell you what they feel the problem is before diagnosing. I was quite surprised that the person who didnt wait on us when we took our Marantz in knew exactly who we were when we picked it up!
APM Electronics, is a nice & clean place to bring your electronics. I brought in my LG television which had been in and out for several months now. Finally decided to bring it to APM due to a recommendation of a friend. These people are very friendly & do go out of there way to help you. The owner tells you how it is, no run around. but bottom line he talked to the manufacture and within 4 weeks going back and forward with the manufacture, they got me going with my tv. Turns out my tv was still under warranty & fix it as so. Was not giving the estimate fee due to me not knowing it was still under warranty. They could have charge me full repair cost, but they didnt.Bottom line, I trust them & will continue to bring my electronics to them & recommend them. They are not very many places that will repair electronics & be honest about it. My thumbs up to them and I hope they keep going. They do know their stuff & what I liked the most, they work old school.Thank YOU! APM Electronics for keeping it real.
Very rude people here. They hang up in your face and talk to you like they are rushing you and belittling you as well. Reporting this people to the Better Business Bureau for sure today!
I brought my Sony tv to this shop for repair, they gave me all my options and possible parts might not be available. knowing that I still left it in hopes my tv could be repaired. After 2 wks, i was giving a repair price & possible be more since my tv came in dead. I approved to continue repair, i really love this television. A 1 1/2 wks later, I was called, my tv repaired & was less amount to pay due to them able to save one panel board. Otherwise I would have been out of luck.Great people & very straight forward. Like that type of business people.
Dropped off my receiver so far so good waiting for a estimate
How do i contact them for a pricing. ? The number given on the site isnt working.
I have been bringing my electronic devices since 2004 and always leave the shop really satisfied!!! Professionals, educated and respectful personel that work to help you everytime you need. I truly recommend them!
CAUTION STAY FAR FAR AWAY!!!!!AVOID THIS COMPANY AT ALL COSTS. THEY ARE INCOMPETENT, UN TRUSTWORTHY, UN RELIABLE CROOKS.THEY HELD MY ELECTRONIC APPLIANCE HOSTAGE FOR 2 MONTHS AND GAVE ME THE RUN AROUND. AFTER 2 MONTHS THEY DID NOT FIX IT AT ALL AND THEY HAD THE NERVE TO CHARGE ME FOR SERVICES NOT RENDERED.FOR TWO MONTHS I HAD TO CALL THEM AND BEG FOR THEM TO RETURN MY CALLS AND TO LET ME KNOW WHAT HAPPENED TO MY APPLIANCE. THEY KEPT LYING AND GIVING ME THE RUN AROUND. IT IS ALMOST FIXED IT WILL BE READY TOMORROW ETC ETC.AFTER ALL THAT ANXIETY AND GRIEF, THEY DID NOT KNOW HOW TO FIX THE APPLIANCE AT ALL. IT WAS RETURNED TO ME NOT FIXED AND THEY HAD THE NERVE TO CHARGE ME FOR SERVICES NOT RENDERED.LET ALONE I WAS WITHOUT MY APPLIANCE FOR 2 MONTHS!!!!STAY AWAY FROM THESE CROOKS.... THEY ARE UNTRUSTWORTHY AND UNETHICAL. THEY WILL GIVE YOU THE RUN AROUND AND STEAL YOUR MONEY......ESPECIALLY THE OWNER ANGEL ALVAREZ. IF YOU SEE HIM RUN LIKE HELL THE OTHER WAY. AND MAKE SURE YOU TAKE YOUR WALLET WITH YOU !!!!I WISH I COULD GIVE ZERO STAR RATING BUT ONE STAR IS THE LOWEST. THEY REALLY DESERVE ZERO.
Took 2 Months and 3 days to find and correct the problem. Had to continually call for updates on receiver and eventually called Onkyo Customer support to see if they could help. They were very friendly, but took way to long. I wouldnt have mind so much if I was kept in the loop of what was going on, but got no information except when I would finally call. They always said it would probably be done today and they would call later to let me know, then I would hear that same line a week later when I would call. They never call you even if they say they will.
They overcharged is by 300 dollars for a uhaul. I wouldn’t use them for anything ever again.
Very nice and knows my old Sansui and Marantz equipment. Bought his old personal plasma Pioneer Elite tv and it is one fine piece of equipment.
Horrible customer service. Got there 3 minutes before close but they whined it takes 10 minutes to sign for truck and refused to help.
I have been coming back to this repair shop because of the quality of their repairs. I love their repair men and the tech they use to help clients.
After a positive experience a few years ago, I have the complete opposite now. Theyve been unable to make a lasting repair to my Marantz receiver and each time want to charge a diagnostic fee to determine the problem which hasnt changed. Adding injury to insult, the fee has been $75 and now they want $125. Time to look elsewhere.
I’d give this place 0 stars if I could. The guy behind the counter is extremely rude. He doubled charged me for a repair on my pioneer controller and doesn’t even seem to care about correcting my transaction. I ended up having to dispute it with the bank... I suggest that if you need to repair your dj equipment, go elsewhere. Nobody likes being ripped off “Danny” but then for you to get upset like I stole from you is wrong!!!!
Reserved a moving truck and was confirmed booked at this location. I even completed the express check in. I arrive early to pick up my truck and I am told that they do not have my truck and then proceed to write down on a piece of paper the address where my reservation is supposed to be. I show them my confirmation that reflects their business and they stated that they have nothing to do with that and that I need to call Uhaul. I then ask if they know how far away the location is as I have movers who are waiting on me and they say they have absolutely no idea. I asked them why I wasnt contacted by anyone to advise me of the switch and they said that it has nothing to do with them and to call Uhaul offering absolutely no assistance or understanding and no offer to call Uhaul either to further assist. They said its not their fault as they are just a neighborhood center. When I said that I would be placing a review l the service received they proceeded to start yelling...literally yelling at me the customer that its not their fault and that its not fair. Yelling. I dont know anywhere where that is an appropriate response to a customer stating that they will place a review . My advice if you are renting a truck from Uhaul that you stay away from neighborhood centers like APM Electronics. Poor service and no accountability which is the last thing you need when doing something as stressful as moving. You may think you are saving money as they may be closer but the time and frustration experienced at these centers are worth the mileage you pay to go to a full Uhaul center.
Terrible... i was promised a remote control replace for a stereo system he knew he could not fix.still did not get my remote control for my car. Took them 6 month to repair. Did half ass job.Dont ever go to this location to get anything fix. I promise you will be pisted off!!!!
BE AWARE... the worst customer service ever. Giving this place a 1 star is giving to much. They had my TV for 4 months with excuses from wrong parts shipped to them twice to replacing the entire unit except the outer frame and still didnt turn on. How??? Like replacing a entire motor of a car and still wouldnt turn on 🤔. They dont call customers and rude when you call to check on your merchandise. My TV is under warranty and the manufacturer was told the TV at one point it was ready for customer pick up and when I went to pick it up it wasnt ready. Shady. They was going to let me leave with it until I ask them to turn it on. This place either needs new employees or a crash course in customer service fast. In the end the manufacturer replaced it.
I should havw read the reviews nefore i let these guys take my tv. If you want your tv fixed you should call Fine Tuning.
Easy check in process and super friendly customer service for our uhaul!!!
When it comes to electronics in the three years Ive been in the Houston Texas area, theres no where I go for repairs. Plus excellent prices on accessories.
Dreadful. No communication, they will sit on your equipment for a month and a half, and then tell you there is nothing wrong with it. Always making excuses and blaming the post office. Fixes barely last a couple of months before you have to bring it in for the same issue.
Very bad customer service the guy is very rude no patience at all to answer any questions you might have ....Oh!by the way if need anything repaired make sure you dont need it within the next week or so they are very busy!!!!!!!
Excellent service and not to mention quick !!!!
Rude, Rude, Rude! Go somewhere else where your business will be valued.
You’ll see very rude and hve very bad service I will never and I mean never refer anyone to get services done with you all
