Left my 2020 G70 for a half day to get the navigation map to update using the SD card Genesis sent me. They were very nice and tried but couldn’t get it to update. Did provide a ride home and back to get car again. So the next day I tried using the instructions carefully myself and it worked fine. Genesis Corp needs to beef up its dealer network and training.

The service work on my Genesis G90 is typically done well. The customer service experience is average at best. Nice folks, but manage your expectations-- you are visiting a Hyundai service department that also happens to be the service department for Genesis. The Genesis cars themselves are luxurious and superb, but the Genesis of Southwest Houston service experience is strictly Hyundai. If you want a top drawer service experience, try another brand like Lexus.

I went to the dealership only to test drive a vehicle. My salesman, Sonny Greer allowed me to test drive three different vehicles. He was very patient and knowledgeable and allowed me to spend as much time as I wanted with each vehicle. I ultimately settled on a 2021 Genesis GV80. The buying process went very smooth with no pressure. The entire staff was very helpful and I would highly recommend the dealership.

Lisa Preist made this car purchase super easy. Due to time limitations i was under Lisa offered to deliver our new Genesis to our home. I was able to do the finance part of the transaction with Lily over the phone and Lisa brought the paperwork for me to sign along with the car. I have bought several cars in the past and this was the first time that level of service was ever offered. I highly recommend Lisa and Lily for any Hyundai or Genesis purchase.

I went in for a tire repair thanks tothe pothole I encountered. Johnnie Maldonado my service advisor was easy to work with, answered my questions. Repair was completed, spare tire returned to my trunk, all neatly done. Ive had good experiences so far with this dealership. Hope it continues.

If you are looking for a premium car-buying experience (like Lexus, BMW, Mercedes, etc.), Genesis of Southwest Houston likely isn’t the place to visit. The customer service is more like a Hyundai dealership (which it is) and was very disorganized. I had contacted the sales person two days in advance of picking up the vehicle asking for ways to speed up the buying process. This was to no avail since it took over two hours for a cash transaction – no financing paperwork to do at all. A majority of the time was spent waiting on a single person to do the paperwork and collect the money; the only person handling these chores on a busy Saturday afternoon was overwhelmed. After finally finishing with all of the paperwork, the sales person’s handoff to me was brief – here’s your keys and goodbye. I have owned many vehicles and this was the least attentive car introduction I have ever had. The Genesis vehicle I bought has an astonishing number of options and menus to learn how to use them, but there was no effort made or offered to help a new owner to navigate the process. This is a Sterling McCall dealership so they clearly know how to make car-buying experience enjoyable and effective. I hope that this dealership is able to step up their game soon; they have amazing products to sell, but the customer service needs to get much better.

Went in on three separate occasions and they don’t seem interested in selling at all. Did not provide me with any details, walked away for 30 mins at a time, had little to no information about the cars and purchasing options. Didn’t expect this kind of experience when being asked to pay 70k for a car.

I arrived for my service appointment a bit early. The sales rep helped me get checked-in and took a few minutes to go over the different service packages offered. The expected wait time was between 1.5-hours, however I was in and out within 45 minutes! Before concluding the service appointment the sales rep made sure I had everything that I needed done and answered any questions that I had. He did a wonderful job!

Great test drive experience with the G70. Carlos was very friendly and knowledgeable about the brand and the model. The negotiation process was pretty typical with the back-and-forth of I have to check with my manager but the payments were presented with the assumption that 0% APR was automatic (when the actual rate offered by financing was closer to 2%).

When I entered the dealership no one was there. I walked around for probably five minutes until finally someone walked by and I had to approach him. It turned out to be the sales person I was looking for. A very bad first impression. My sales person was friendly and attentive. However I was not showed all the amnesties of the vehicles. I was told the vehicle had the 3000 mile service. When I got into the vehicle later that day I noticed when I started it said I was 6 days overdue for a service. I texted my sales person who assured me the service was performed and he will let me know what was done and how to re set the vehicle. I never heard back from him.

Just a really disappointing experience. My 2021 Genesis came back from service with a cracked windshield and other issues. I have tried multiple times to reach the service director but he never calls back. This dealership does not provide the type of premium service you would expect with a premium vehicle.

While our experience was far from traditional, Aaron Rincon was the best I’ve ever worked with fit any of my car buying needs. He was so polite and helpful and made us feel like a priority even though he seemed to be helping ten other people as well. The process was smooth, and even when I threw him a curveball the night of my purchase, he was responsive, helpful, and ready to redo a few things based on my needs changing. I will recommend this location, and Aaron specifically, to everyone I talk to about my new vehicle. Oh, and the vehicle is amazing too!

To begin. My name is not Ayers, It’s Payton Bauer and nobody Can seem to get that straight. The ONLY reason I gave 2 stars instead of 1 is because I was given a G90 as a loaner car. Otherwise it would have been a one. For the big boast of high service the Genesis brand, I am highly disappointed. I have had this car for MONTHS and now with 5500 miles, STILL have no floor mats. I have asked for them 4 times. When I arrived to pick up my car from this last service, nobody was there to help or greet me. And the best a man could do is text Alex to let him know I was there, but he never answered. Even the cashier couldn’t find my paper work because it was not in my name. All together it took over 30 minutes to pick up my car, and at least 8 or to signatures. REDICULOUS!

I had a great experience with the sales team. Ron Wilson treated me like a VIP. He was very knowledgable and professional. During the test drive, he rode shotgun like he was my friend, subtly pointing out features of the car without over-selling. (Actually, he didnt do any selling, which I appreciated.) I had a post-sale issue with a tire. Ron managed to get it taken care of same-day and delivered my car to me in the same condition it was dropped off, and with a full tank of gas! Whats more, he programmed the media to pick up my cell phone by default and deleted all the other numbers from the previous owner out of the call log. He even enabled common driver-assist features I hadnt figured out or set. Every frontline sales person I interacted with (Ron, Aaron, Charles) was awesome. Kudos to the sales team there for the excellent customer service! I love my car and have already spread the word about my positive experience with Sterling McCall Hyundai. I will be doing business with them again in the future.

The service at Southwest Genesis Houston was very good as always. The service advisor Cedric was outstanding by keeping me informed of my service completion. The only minor complaint was that it was a Saturday and I had a 8am appointment reservation so I thought my car would be done in the usual one hour time but it took almost four hours. All Saturday I seen a line of customers at three service advisors desks, however I later found out it was customer appreciation day where customers were receiving discounts on maintenance services, which includes my service that Cedric gave me without asking. Most customers had appointments but you could see their frustration on how busy the service department was handling a packed house. The dealership provided free Chick a Filet breakfast sandwiches and there is plenty of area to comfortable sit and do your computer work. When my service was complete Cedric professionally gave me the details of my G90 service and gave non selling recommendation of purchasing two rear tires which I told him I will on a non customer appreciation day because they were too busy for me to wait any longer today. Also I didn’t receive my normal courtesy car wash but it didn’t matter because the rain start pouring when I left the dealership. Great job to Cedric and the service department for handling such a busy day. I normally don’t do customer satisfaction surveys but after driving my G90 for almost three years and realizing this is the best overall car ownership experience I’ve had over my previous luxury BMW, Infiniti, Mercedes and Lexus vehicles in my 40 years of driving.

Hit and miss service experience. They are trying but having big teething pains. Brought car in for warranty service. After 7 hours, I called expecting it to be complete and was told part is not in stock. Wasted day. Will have to bring it back again. Good folks but they may be over extended. Poor follow up. I am sure it will get better. When it does I hope to give it high marks.

I took my Genesis in for its first service appointment though my advisor Alex. He was great but the overall service experience, especially in comparison to other brands/dealers is severely lacking. I was shocked it’s a Stirling McCall dealership as bad as the processes were, run down facilities, and general lack of anxiously engaged professionals.Nice well meaning people but it took 30 seconds to recognize I was in for a low budg - head scratching experience for sure. Take a cue from the Sewell playbook guys. Genesis deserves its own facilities in the same way Lexus has to Toyota.I’ll go there if that is my only option. Good thing it isn’t.
