Lm tile easy to deal with ***** 5 stars

We originally used LM Tile to do flooring on the first story of our home and in our bathrooms as well as to update our master bathroom, which turned out great. That was in 2016. Since we had a good experience the first time we decided to use them to remodel our kitchen in May 2021. Unfortunately, this recent experience was not the same or even close. The work was supposed to be completed in 2-3 weeks and carried over into 2 months, which Im not too concerned about since its a whole remodel and things come up. Where I take issue with this experience is the lack of communication, the numerous people coming in and out to do different parts of the remodel, and the incomplete outcome. I attempted to communicate my concerns but they were ignored; however, when it was time to collect money, I magically heard from Alex. On top of that, to spend as much as we did for a kitchen, I expected top notch work, but fell quit short of that. Im completely dissatisfied with the work and mostly dissatisfied with the lack of effort to rectify the situation. Needless to say, we will never use this company again.

We had Alex and his team at LM install wood-look porcelain tile floors throughout our entire house in February 2015. Google just reminded me of my review, so I decided to provide an update. Six years later, the floors still look amazing! No issues at all and we LOVE them. We are so happy we went with LM Tile for our flooring installation!

Alex and team installed waterproof wood flooring in my entire home the week of Thanksgiving. They were quick, consistent and trustworthy. I am very happy with my floors. They are the center of attention when you walk in my home.On another note, LM Tile is in the process of remodeling my master bathroom and we seem to have a communication problem. I will see how this project turns out. But all-in-all, I am very happy with their work!

LM Tile was recommended by 2 of my neighbors so i decided to give them a try. Bought tile and had it delivered. Some boxes had broken pieces. They were suppose to pick up Monday. Did not show up nor received a call. I had to call owner and he confirmed delivery Tuesday. Material was picked up but still had a couple broken boxes. Decided to go pick up my self to avoid any other issues. Owner was suppose to come to my house to quote on kitchen cabinets and counter tops and never showed up the 2 times appt was rescheduled. No call to cancel both times. Very poor customer service and lack of communication. Will not purchase from here again.

We really loved this place from selecting the flooring till finishing the job. It took 2-3 weeks for the whole process but now the house looks really great.Alex was a great guy and replied to our texts very promptly and also showed up at our house to look at the work done and to answer questions we had. Flooring guys also did a great job, moved the furniture for us and put it back when they were done.Really recommend this place, they also had better pricing and material.

The job was done wrong and the owner took no responsibility or even apologized for extensive damage to my home. I do not recommend.Update: Correct, job was done in 2016. You “fixed” an issue after water started pouring from kitchen ceiling (bath above). You did bother investigate the shower bench after you realized it had ZERO sealant. You sealed the water under the seat and eventually it started leaking again under the seat and inside my the close. Poor quality job and terrible “warranty repair”. I could not let you touch anything anymore. Cash compensation is a standard thing to offer - along with s sincere apology. Avoid this company. When something goes wrong they will not have your back.

We recently moved into a home with carpeting that my children were allergic to. Alex came the same night I called him and the install began the next day. Alex is reasonably priced and responds timely.I was a bit worried about letting people into my home to install flooring while I was out of town. BUT his team was fast and in 2 days they did the entire upstairs. They were respectful of my home and cleaned up nicely.Very happy with the outcome and quality. Best of all, children woke up without allergies! Thank you.

LM Tile has great selection of building materials needed for flooring, carpet, household renovations and home improvement projects. Alex Halis, who is the owner of this place is very helpful, communicative and responsive to customers needs. Alex also has good taste, when he takes a look at customer premises and whats needed, he recommends his selections. Most of the times in my case his suggestions really turned out to look good at the end once work was completed. I like the place not only because of its quality materials but also quality workforce that Alex sends, hence my 5 star recommendation.

If we could give 10 stars we would.My wife and I walked in to LM Tile not knowing what to look for.Our house was hit by Harvey and we were going through a complete remod, so of course we were overwhelmed.The manager asked us a few questions pertaining to our likings, and made 4 suggestions.Each one was perfectly fit to match our home and now the hardest part was deciding on which of the 4 we wanted.Once we finally decided, we were able to finance the job at %0 interest. We were only to do the kitchen and bathrooms, as the bedrooms were to have carpet, but we love it so much when the job was completed, We decided Not to do carpet and to do the rest of our home in tile. We are so pleased to have found LM tile. My wife and are always looking to support local business and this is the reason why. They are always willing to please the customer. They listen to what you want and make it happen, and they treat you like family.I will refer them to anyone who will listen. Thank you LM tile for the great workmanship. We truly are blessed.

LM Tile did my entire kitchen. I had gone shopping around this area for flooring because I just moved here from California. I had an amazing experience from start to finish. As soon as I walked in I was greeted by the owner Alex. I am extremely picky and he was very Patient as I made my selections. I showed him a picture of the granite that I really wanted but he didnt have it in the yard. He assured me he could get it for me and he did. I was able to select all my slabs. The part I was nervous about was the installation. Back in California I remodeled my entire house and the installation was a disaster. Its took five days from start to finish. They did my kitchen cabinetry and flooring. The finish was amazing. His crew was friendly and very efficient. They even cleaned up after they were finished I will definitely be coming back to finish my entire house and backyard with Alex. I will recommend them to everyone I know in Houston. I just want to think LM tile for the wonderful and pleasant experience I had.

We just had Alex and LM Tile install porcelain wood-look tile floors throughout our entire house and they are GORGEOUS. Alexs crew - Hector and David - did an incredible job. They started when we needed them to and finished a day earlier than promised. Their work was sheer perfection! Alex came recommended to me from someone I trust, but then I saw a couple of negative reviews and got worried. My friend reassured me and I called some of Alexs other references who were very happy with his work. I ultimately went with my gut and hired him - Im so glad I did. Alex gave us a great price, had excellent communication before and during the process and our floors are stunning! We couldnt be happier. The only two super minor issues we had were that Hector and David bent one of our window screens and when replacing doors after tiling, switched two of the doors. We brought it to Alexs attention, and he said he would make sure those items were taken care of. I have no doubt he will since he has fulfilled every promise he has made to us, but if not, I will let you know!

Alex is the go to person when you want to get your house ready for market. He has great service, choices and great prices and a good solution for all properties that we have SOLD.

The vinyl flooring was much more expensive than the other places I got quotes from but I went with this guy because what he showed me in the show room was really nice and textured, but what they brought to my house looked just like what you get at Home Depot. They installed efficiently but they did a sloppy job putting the house back together and really wanted to leave stuff a mess.

We love the job Alex and his and his guys did with our new floors. I was a bit worried at first about doing the floors with a newborn in the house, but the installers were really considerate. When the job supervisor saw our 2 year old, he immediately told his crew to pick up every nail that they pulled up as they worked. It was super sweet. I don’t know how or if they were actually trying, but it seemed like they didn’t made much noise in the mornings when they came in early. It was always later in the day when we started hearing a lot construction noise.

I had wood floors put in my house by LM Tile and they were great to work with Alex the owner was great he came by the house helped me and my wife pick out colors of new wood and then from there I was curious how the process would go but Alex was there every step of the way and a pleasure to work with. My wife was extremely happy and floors looked great I would 110% recommend LM Tile to friends and family.

I had my floors done two weeks ago and I love them. My house looks completely different, the floor choice was perfect and I am happy with Francisco who was always nice and did a great, great job. I would absolutely use LM Tile in the future. The only issue that we had was that originally we set a date to start and then they changed it, thats why Im giving them 4 stars. I wouldve given them 5 otherwise.

This review is for the work done by LM Tile several years ago. I had a quote from Alex to install laminate in all rooms where there was carpet, and to install tiles in two bath rooms and the laundry room. At first, I already bought some tiles from Home Depot for $0.99 per square foot and was going to have a different contractor install the tiles because it was cheaper that way. But he said he would match the price of that contractor and let me pick any tiles in his store for $0.99 per square foot. So I agreed to let him do the laminate and the tiles also. When I selected the tile, he tried to convince me to pick a different one by giving me some accent tiles for free. But I decided to stay with my selection. After they started to work in the family room, Alex came by the house, looked at the supplies they brought over several days ago and said he forgot to measure the dining room and wanted about $300 more. I didnt want to argue with him because I didnt remember 100% if he came in the dining room to measure it or not. So I paid him that extra money to get the work done. Back to that later. Now about the works. The contractors who installed the tiles didnt do a very nice job. They started to lay the tiles in the far end of the rooms first which was easier for them and so we ended up with many small cut tiles plainly visible when walking in the rooms. As for the laminate flooring, they didnt float the secondary bedrooms so now the floor in one room sinks down a little at one area when I walk on. Finally, they didnt use the correct transition molding between the foyer which had tiles and the living room. There was a big gap between the tiles and the molding because the tiled floor was lower than the laminate floor. I went go back to the store twice to ask them to replace it. Alex said he would send somebody to replace it but never did. So I told him just give it to me and I would install it myself. He said he would drop it off in my front of my house by the weekend, but he never did either. Finally, I had to buy it from Home Depot and used a marker to match the color of the laminate. To this day I still feel he tricked me about the $300 to get back the money for the tiles. I should not have to pay for it because it was his fault not to measure it (if what he said was true) when I told him I wanted to replace all rooms that had carpet with laminate. He does this for a living. He couldnt have forgotten to measure the room. Stay away from this store.

Alex and his crews recently redid the entire house in wood look tile and recarpeted the bedrooms. Prior to getting any quotes, we had picked out wood look tile and were very happy with the color and size. Alexs store had a great selection and we ended up finding something there we liked even better and the material cost was the same. His quote came in a the lowest of 3. One of the other flooring companies advertised 50/50/50 percent discount on removal/material/labor and used high pressure sales tactics to get us to put down an immediate deposit despite having a limited selection and quoting $1k more.Alex quoted job start in about 1 week and 2 weeks job to finish the job. He ended up calling me back in 2 days and the tile and carpet crews finished the job in the quoted time working around the Christmas break. The both crews were very efficient and professional. The house looks amazing now.

The workers did a great job with installing, however my experience with the owner Alex was horrible. He did not communicate or follow-up with me. Plus the job was over priced. I would mot recommend any of my family or friends to do business with him. Again it was an absolutely horrific experience.

I have purchased services from Alex in a couple of occasions now. Although his initial service was ok, i.e. he shows up on time to have the project evaluated and priced, after which he sends out his sub-contractor to do the job. However upon completion, he does not show up to confirm that job was done right to the satisfaction of the customer. My last job was poorly done and all attempts to get Alex to have it address has been futile.I would not recommend this place if you care about being satisfied with the quality of your project after the workers leave.

I have purchased tile from LM before and the customer service was great and their products were top of the line. The staff were very knowledgeable about their products. I will definitely be a return customer and encourage others that need any type of flooring to do their shopping at LM as well.

I was very excited to have this company put in new carpet, tile, and laminate floors. The works! Unfortunately I believed the reviews that were placed in regards to this company. The carpet had a huge seam running thru the middle and the grout was cracking and the edgers of the laminate floor is already lifting after only a month after the work was done. I have contacted Alex and he keeps on giving me the run around. He never follows thru will calling back and stalls with coming back to fix his mess. Dont waste your money. Very rude owner.

They did a great job for my house and my parents house ..

Working with LM was such a terrible experience. My husband and I went into the store on a Saturday afternoon asking about granite prices. We were thrilled when Alex said he would come by that evening to measure our kitchen and give us a price. That’s where the warm fuzzies ended. He came over with the samples we picked out, measured the kitchen at (10 square feet above every other bid) and gave us two separate prices based on which material we ultimately decided on. We were super excited that the color we liked the most was the least expensive. He said he’d throw in plumbing, so that our kitchen would be back fully functioning by the end of the install. He also said he’d only require $500 down to get the process going. After getting a few different bids (LM’s being the lowest), we decided to go in and ask a few more questions. Every question we asked seemed to physically pain him, and he would divert it to someone else. “Oh you have to talk to Cathy to get the scheduling. Oh you have to ask the installer.” He had no interest in getting our business. Against our better judgment, we decided to hire him, even when he said he required $1500 down payment, not $500 like he originally said. He gave us two WRITTEN quotes, told us an installer would come by to do the final measurements, then we could pick out our slabs. He also said that the installer would meet us at the slab yard, so we could talk about where we want the cuts. When the installer came to do the final measurements, I had a list of questions, like do they dispose of the tear outs, where will the seams be, what about the edges. Although, he tried to answer most of them, 90% of his answers were, “You have to ask Alex.”We scheduled our appointment to look at the slabs with Tobin at MSI. After looking at our first choice, we weren’t completely sold. We wanted to see other options in the same price range, so we called Alex to find out what those were. He was nowhere to be found. Got in touch with Kathy in the office, and though she showed every effort of helping us, she just didn’t have the information. The person who did was completely MIA. Tobin was so great and patient with us while we vented about the complete lack of customer service our LM sales rep was showing. Although he couldn’t give us specific pricing, he tried to show us similar slabs that should have been in the same price range. After seeing these, I really decided that our original choice was the one for us. Tobin wrote up the order and we were on our way, because the installer who was supposed to meet us never showed up. Kathy contacted us immediately talking about install dates, some as soon as five business days later. My husband thanked her for all of her efforts in the run around and asked her to tell Alex to call us as soon as he got into the office.He finally did call back…two days later. He said that he could install that very next Friday, but he had swapped the prices on the quotes, and the slabs that we chose would be almost $1000 more. After going back and forth with him about having a written quote and needing it to be honored, he still refused and my husband demanded our money back. Although we know we could have ultimately made him honor the written (and signed) quote, at that point, we just wanted to be done with the company. Alex’s word (or handshake) meant nothing, and we didn’t trust him handling our business or being anywhere near our home. Live and learn…if it seems shady, it probably is. In this case, it absolutely was.
