LOVE LOVE LOVE this barber shop! Been coming here since Ed opened it in the 80s, been a regular with Joe for probably 20 years. Hes the only barber Ive found who really understands my hair. Fantastic no-nonsense mens barbershop!

15 $ a haircut I personally give them 20 they respect covid 19 social distancing they are incredible go they dont have a website so you have to call for a appointment and they only take cash which kinda sucks but you have to go with Joe he will cut you good and send you home looking fresh

He was a great caring man who even made housecalls & even came to the hospital to cut hair for me.,etc. . I have known him for many years back when he had one barber chair. He cut the astronaut s hair back in the day. I met Ed & his wife at a antique car show. R.I.P. . The barber shop is still going, new owners.Take care, R.

I’ve been going to Joe for about 3 years. He does an amazing job and my son loves coming here, he gets a treat every time. Prices are the best in town for the quality of work but don’t hesitate to tip for their great work.

Th is place is traditionally old style barber. Warm soap, straight razor, hot towel shave. Traditional barber style cut.

Something at rating and really good comments, but the reality is that there is a woman in there she cut my hair yesterday and it is the worst haircut I have got my entire life she told me she had 30 years cutting hair so I trusted her but now I have to use hats because of her I was not going to pay her but Im not like that just a recommendation do not go there .The kid photo is how I ask her if she could do it and she said sure I can do that the other photo is what my haircut looks like trust me do not go there

This is a classic barbershop with some very experienced barbers. I got a great haircut. I walked in, and was seated for my haircut immediately. I was pleased when my barber pulled out a straight-razor to clean up my hairline. Cash only, but theres a store with an ATM in the lot.

Barber shop is in a great location, shopping strip has plenty of parking available. The staff is warm and greeting. I was only disappointed to learn that they do not accept credit cards, definitely not good for passersby customers. Definitely looks like a hidden gem inside the area. My dad had been coming here for as long as I can remember. I now take him for his monthly cut. This is a true barber shop. The crew are all very nice & have been there for years. They charge between $10 - $12 for a basic cut.

Ive finally found THE barber Ive been looking for all my life! I have been to Anita twice now. Shes quick, convenient and has done an awesome job both times. She fades my hair perfectly, which is hard because my hair is thin and light blonde. I definitely recommend checking her out.

Wasn’t impressed at all with the women’s work, she left me with a cut I didn’t ask for and leaving a bald spot at the back of my head. She will have corny jokes and way too much excitement. (Do we really have to pay if the job isn’t done right?)I wouldn’t recommend this place unless you wanna get your hair done by the guy who only takes reservations.

Been getting my hair cut by Gill for almost 2 years. My little brother also really liked getting his hair cut by Gill, he said it was the best hair cut his ever gotten and did not want to go anywhere else. Nobody has given me a good hair cut my entire life until Gill cut my hair. He was absolutely the best. Unfortunately he will no longer be working here. Came in on 12/19/2015 at around 10:40am to get a hair cut. I didnt care who was going to cut my hair, I just wanted my hair cut. Ive waited well over an hour, kept on seeing people coming in getting their hair cuts before me even though I got there before them. Left the place at 12:15pm without my hair cut. I will never be coming here again. They lost a customer that loved this place. I will never be coming back here again.

A Step back in time, When a Barber shop was a barber shop! This place beats hands down any TGF and SuperCuts, and all of those fashion spots that give out horrible haircuts...You will not go wrong taking yourself or your boys down there for a mans haircut. Bring me back to the 50s and 60s when a striped barbers pole outside really meant something!

This is my favorite barbershop to go to, nothing can beat this place, BEST CUTS and Shaves (if you need one) great pricing. Ive been coming here within the last four or five years. There was at least a three year period where I hadnt came in because I had kids. I came in this month for a cut and my same Barber Joe since day one remembered me and made me feel like I havent to miss a day, best feeling in the world and best service in the world.

My husband went there last week. First barer cut in 20 years but my sheers broke so he got his hair cut by Gilbert, fantastic cut Gilbert took the time to make sure it was the way he liked it cut. Goof prices would recommend this place to any guy who doesnt want a womens Salon. Update Gilbert is out for a medical procedure so Leonard cut Johns hair give him a try till Gilbert gets back. Added attraction vibrating neck massage. 😃 Also there is a lady barbar who is good as well. Update Gilbert is back in action after his medical leave feeling better good to have him back and cutting Johns hair again.

My barber is Joe and he takes great pride in his work. My haircut is always top notch and just how I want it.

My son finaly find a hair style done that he like to have. They are very profesional and caring. Pricing is little bit a lot, but looking for the job that done that with it. It is not like your $3 hair cut by the way. You have to wait to be seated first and it takes little more time to be done. Place is vintage, you feel like you are in your grandpas barber.

Best haircut Ive had in Houston. Leonardo took great care of me this morning for my first cut in years (Ive been self buzzing it myself for years).Be aware that they only take cash and check, no CCs. Luckily I had just enough cash to cover the cut and tip (cut is $13, shave is $13). I didnt have enough cash for the shave but Leonardo still cleaned up my goatee for me. He was even open to me running up the street to my bank if I didnt have enough cash on me; thats trust you dont see much these days in customer service. Got to love that old fashion business sense.This is my new hair cutting place in Houston; no doubt about it.

Ed was very courteous and gave me a very nice haircut. The price is very reasonable at $13. Quick friendly service and it reminded me of the barbershop my grandpa worked in back when I was a kid.

Received a haircut here yesterday, had to tell the barber to stop because he messed up and tried to fix his mistake which made it worse. He said sorry man but I was ready to leave on how disappointed I was then he charged me $30 on the half of hair he only cut. Didnt want to make a scene in respect of the barber that use to cut hair here before passing.Never will come here again half job barbers now that run this place 👎Had to go to the galleria area to finish the job.

Been going there more than 3 decades. Its a timeless old fashioned shop with great Barbers.

I asked for a low fade and the old lady cutting my hair asked, With a one? I said no with a zero. She said, Thats not a fade make up your mind! On top of being rude she was sick coughing everywhere and limping using me to hold herself up. I just got over a shoulder injury but unlike her I didnt want to be rude so I said nothing. At this point I knew I should have either left or at the very least picked someone else to cut my hair. I was trying to give this lady a second chance but then she took the zero all the way to the top like she was giving me a high and tight. After that I finally asked for someone else to cut my hair. Needless to say I left this place livid/angry/upset. I can honestly say, after 45 years on this planet, that this is the worse place I have ever been to. The worse service and haircut I have ever received, or else I wouldnt even bother to write this review. So be warned or just ignore this place at your own risk/peril. Signed, DISGUSTED!
