Crazy reading all the negative reviews. This place doesnt come across sketchy nor did any of the employees show any type of disrespect. Matter of fact they were all pretty awesome and extremely helpful. They went out of there way to help me and allowed me to jump my car. Even offered me a jump box to help me. I have been to alot of other tow yards throughout the years and this one was by far one of the better ones if not best. Thank you guys again for all your help and understanding.

Area 5 has some very rude customer service. Called and spoke to Carlos tried to explain what happen with my vehicle that was towed and he kept cutting me off and not even listening to my concern of my vehicle that was told several times it was not there . And it was and had been there for several days . I did a police report which lead me back to this place that originally stated it was not there . Called again spoke to Joe some what helpful but short also. Than I had to call back spoke to Stacy she was nice and helpful she stated the reason it was not told it was in there location was due to the lady just didn’t look . Than transferred to Donnie who was suppose to give Dan a message to call is back regarding the account . No respond yet

Rude and unprofessional front deak staff. Almost as if they are hiring anyone. Talking nicely only helps people and makes their day better. Please educate your staff.

If you have to get your car towed this is the place to do it. The gentleman working the front has been the most helpful and understanding of any that Ive ever experienced in my entire 43 years on Earth.

Nope. No good. The front desk was NO help at all. I was having payment issues and the ignorant stooge just shrugs because its not his problem, meanwhile its almost midnight in Houston during winter and were almost freezing. To me, that means either this company prioritizes profit over peoples safety, or they hire employees who dont care. Lastly, it doesnt matter if this impound lot is affiliated with the towing company or not, because they still are a part of the miserable experience that myself and every person in the line with me had to endure. They still collected my money so that I could drive home with my own car and my own belongings. My only regret is not being able to rate with 0 stars. Hopefully I will never have to deal with this place again when I visit Houston!

Went to meet with officials but they didnt make it by dark. 2 hrs wasted! The attendant was horrible and I had cash to pay the bill but she refused to give us the vehicle and called the cops on my Granddaughter and myself because I wanted my change back of $ 2.80 cents! This business is a terrible place we were treated very ugly and charged 50 dollars extra for a fee for a notification that never arrived in the mail!!! We were crime victims and to be victimized by the impound lot the Houston police department used to store my Granddaughters Infinity in after recovery from being stolen in the first place was a horrible thing for a company to do!

I would have given them a 5 star, but some called them about a parking spot that was already ours, and they towed our new car that we just got it cost us over $200.00 which took away from our rent that was due, but you know what God is still good aa the time.

My car got towed and was delivered to this lot. Friendly service is not their high priority and helpful atmosphere is not part of their mission statement. I could not even see the face of the lady i had to pay. There was no help with locating where my car was placed - i had to find it myself.

I would give this place 0 stars if I could. They locked my car keys inside the vehicle and charge $20 to get it unlocked. When I spoke with the towing company they said that it is not standard practice to lock the keys in the vehicle and that they are not sure why it happened. The Area 5 supervisor is a real piece of work and told me first that the cops probably did it and then said that the key was “stuck in the ignition” and that they did it. She also said that I shouldn’t be mad bc the person who did it is an old man. Sounds like they do it on purpose to get $20 out of people. They require the $20 in cash and do not give you a receipt. Super sketchy! Also, you cannot lock my vehicle with the key inside the car which means they put a lot of effort into locking it.

My car was towed to this place. The operator (Ahmad) at the window was professional & courteous. I was respectful to him & he was respectful to me. Area 5 DOES NOT tow cars. They are NOT a wrecker service. Wrecker services USE Area 5 Vehicle Storage as a facility to store the vehicles that they have towed. Area 5 has nothing to do with why your car was towed. You need to call the actual wrecker company AND the owner of the property, where the vehicle was towed, to discuss the why and dispute any issues that you have with them. My car was incorrectly towed because we forgot to put the handicap plackard on the mirror. It was in the glove box. 😩 The wrecker service was doing its job to the best of their knowledge. I wish this didnt cost me $302.56, but it did. What can I say? I would love to have the wrecker service give me a break and have at least part of my money returned out of compassion because it was an innocent mistake, and I was parked on property where I pay rent. But, if that doesnt happen, I understand. At this point, I just have to take this on the chin.

Its not their fault when your car gets towed for parking in the wrong spot. The stress of having to go through this for the first time I thought would be brutal. I spoke to a nice lady on the phone who directed me where my car was. I was also helped by the guy at the window in a professional manner. Its a simple pay the few, be courteous, and they will be just as courteous back.

Saw the reviews and was nervous about going to pick up my vehicle but I have to say this was the easiest storage yard to get my vehicle back from. The fee was really high but I was in and out in like 10 minutes with no issues.

It was quick for them to release my car but they shouldnt have picked it up out of my apartments anyway.I had a parking sticker

Bunch of cons and the people are very rude. I was asking how much it was to get my car out and he started telling me what I did wrong and what he couldnt do other than just giving me a price. I had to curse him out just to get the answer I was looking for.

I couldnt feel more victimized had I been taken hostage, beaten, and left for dead! This place is criminal. They lied to my 18 year old daughter as to how much it would be to get her car released (parked in a fire lane, while she unloaded her car, a month after having knee and still on crutches due to absolutely no parking at my apt complex). Had to call back to ask if there was a daily fee for storage as they did not offer that info. And paid $60 more than they quoted us on the phone for notification fee (registered letter that I never got). PLUS in order to receive her wallet from the car to pay these thieves, she had to hand over her cell phone! The car was there exactly 22 hours and we paid for 2 days! So, a half day of missed school for her and a half day missed work for me, and $310 later, we have absolutely no recourse. Criminal! Shameful business. No wonder the clerk hides behind a tinted window.

The female that works there is very rude and disrespectful to customers that are just trying to retrieve information about there car. The employee was very unprofessional and your vehicle is stored there I suggest you have assistance in case things get out of hand.

Places like this would be a good reason for negative stars. They hide behind a dark window, you cannot even see the person you talk to and they treat You knowing they can get away with anything. If they towed your car for no good reason, You are not alone. This place will also make up totally invalid reasons to keep your car as long as they can. If you had a rental, might as well bring the agent with you, they won’t release it to you.

Everyone will say 1 star because they got towed. We give them 5 stars because theyve just been a pleasure to deal with from a customer perspective. Timely payment. Good general management who knows how to deal with situations.

What they will NOT tell you over the phone is that half your payment needs to be in cash and the other half via card and the cash part must be EXACT. They will not tell you this until you show up to get your vehicle. I believe this is done to inconvenience the owner of the vehicle in an attempt to keep it longer and charge you more. If you can avoid this place, by all means do so. If not, I’ll pray for you.

Does anyone like this place? Haha doubtful. Be glad its only 2 stars. Lady was so crazy rude it was astonishing but they were fast so they get 2 stars. Totally shady, they have to have an agreement with the apartment complex I live at. Theyve towed like 5 or 6 of my friends.

Gave us false information and a runaround.When I mentioned how the SUB truck was stolen the employee moving the vehicles.went in the office and said oh s*** were in trouble now and started talking in this foreign language to the manager. Oh the manager was giving the Mexican group free access to look at one vehicle but would not let my boyfriend in to look at ours even gotten sleeting information from the police in trying to go and pick up the truck a clear case of theft by tow truck is listed on the report. Our bed we have been phoning around all the junk yards to get parts for this Model Truck apparently they were ready to prepare the the parts we needed by stealing our truck. The 4-person guys that kept knocking on my door trying to buy the truck stop knocking right before the truck was stolen.

I am at dave and busters...They will tow your car if you park there and go to another bar!! I am watching the guy at area 5 vehicle storage tow one after the other while one guy is working the parkinglot..there is one sign up..all the way on the building. No other signs up and this dude is ducking behind cars like a shark to get these people towed!!!

This place is opened by GANGs. They have horrible attitude and treat you as a criminal. My car was flooded and towed. When I tried to pickup my personal belongings they just gave me a hard time and pointed me to a wrong location. 1min job took me 1hour.

I have to agree, this place is sketchy! I was, of course, upset that my car was towed in the first place. But beyond that, I had to stand in the dark for almost an hour waiting for the ONE GUY taking care of the line. And for the record, that one guy was not nice or informative. He was clearly just there for a paycheck; which is not entirely surprising. But when I’m spending almost $300 ANYWHERE, I deserve at least eye contact and an informative attendant. He literally said nothing to me except my total and “go in the door to your right”.It was also VERY poorly lit outside and I got at least 10 mosquito bites. Lastly, as I stood there for almost an hour, I saw tow truck after tow truck RECKLESSLY voom up and down the street with others cars. I can only imagine they treated my car the same.

One of the scariest places I have ever been in my life - I would strongly urge anyone, and especially women, to bring friends and, if it doesn’t offend your sensibilities, a firearm.However, then exercise judgment when dealing with the staff, as you will he surely be provoked to outright wrath.I have personally seen them tow in numerous vehicles carelessly, lending credence to the numerous accusations of vehicle damage I have read here.I’m not sure how helpful reviews are, since if you are involved with this location in any way, it probably isn’t by choice, but if the universe has afforded you any way to not visit this storage center, take the universe up on the offer and thank it for the chance to skip the jaunt in hell you’d have otherwise been in for.Nightmare. These ppl are absolutely horrible. They will joke with you on the phone knowing you desperately need to get your car out because I needed it for professional and personal matters. Worst customer service. Even when I got it out I had to go all over the lot for it and didn’t even tell me until I had to figure it out myself. The fees are ridiculous as well they need to re-evaluate that honestly.

The man had the nerve to try and crack jokes with me as he charged me an arm and a leg ($230.00) for towing my car...mind you they had just dropped it in the yard when I got there so there were no storage fees included in this price.If you are parked at the Dillards at the Galleria, get out before the store closes or else you will have to cough up major bucks.

I dropped my buddy off to pick up his vehicle that was towed. It wasnt the best circumstance but the employees took care of my buddy in a matter of minutes. This location is easy to find so I didnt mind driving, it was just a bonus these people were helpful and had us out of there in under 10 minutes.

These people are straight up thieves. Pulled my car from the complex I live at. Said I took up 2 spots with my car. Ive been parking in the same spot for years. Never had my vehicle towed before.

Monsters.Its one of the scariest-looking places Ive ever seen, and even given that, when I went with my 411 95lb gf to retrieve her spuriously towed car (not even Area 5s fault/responsibility - that would be HTown Towing for me - though theyre all in bed together, and its an ugly, ugly, sinful bed), they made one of us wait outside and one go into the scary, dark quasi-junkyard lot. The outside was filled with a long line of ANGRY, hostile low-income people (like myself), and inside the lot looked like the set of a Freddy Krueger film. Then they screamed at her when she hesitated and we made eye contact to see how wed process this little indignity.Whenever anyone says theres justice in this world, or it all evens out in the end, I point them here. How could a company do even a tenth of the things enumerated in these reviews and still stay in business and out of court?Someday, if I have kids, Ill show it to them. But only when theyre old enough, because it really shakes ones faith in humanity.

Never in my life have I asked a business for the name of the person I was speaking with on the phone and been refused that information multiple times with the employee stating, You dont need to know that. I called back multiple times to find out this information to no avail and was given the same answer. This behavior is extremely unprofessional and I would not suggest doing businews with the likes of a company whose employees wish to remain anonymous.

Money hole! The service was fair. This system stinks, for us. Random tow drivers drop vehicles off there. Tow could be legal or not. This place just wants your money for your vehicle. I guess they hope itll be too much trouble to follow up on an illegal tow. CAUSE THEY ALREADY GOT YOUR MONEY!!!!!

Omg. Sorry to say but not only is the customer service rude to questions but also less educated. They dont read the information they have in hand. I asked if they could give me a rag to clean the chalk off my windshield they wrote she told me she is too precious to be in the sun, and that I couldnt notice she was busy and cant attend customers under the sun. We stand outside, talk to you whilst you in the office who has to complain about the sun. Soooooo disrespectful both ladies today.

It’s not like you have a choice to come here if your car gets towed, but this was a pretty terrifying experience. The employees treated me like I was a criminal, snapping at me unsympathetically and monosyllabically. They yelled at my Uber driver to get out. My car was damaged when I arrived. Stray cats were hissing at me as I walked by myself, unescorted, at night through the impound lot littered with damaged cars and searched blindly for my own car. They don’t take Discover or partial payments. I wish I could rate my experience here negative stars.

HORRIBLE place. Glad i dont have to deal with this place ever again! The black lady at the dark window which makes you feel like your talking through glass to an immate in jail was rude and had a i hate my job type attitude. Anyways, i arrived and had my son in the car and was told by HER that i had to leave and drop him off which i couldnt at the time or leave him alone in the car while i went to see my vehicle which i said NO. So here comes a gentleman who worked there and helped me get my stuff out my vehicle. BAD SIDE : They made me put my son inside of a run down grocery cart and push him across this rocky ground inside the lot which was super bumpy but i had the gentleman help me. Very unprofessional! Getting your vehicle towed is one thing then dealing with these unprofessional employees is another. They tow your vehicle and can’t explain to you why it was towed. The women answering the phones shouldn’t be near phones wit their nasty a** attitudes.

Horrible Customer Service: i am NOT mad my car got towed. I am upset due to a lack if professionalism and customer service. 1st of all the phone number is a google voice side line number, the people are rude and nasty when you call. They refused basic information luke who id the manaher and whats your name. They demanded my insurance which is in the vehicle. And they would not let me get in the vehicle to give it to them. I had to contact my insurance company to get a copy. I needed someone else to drive me around to do something they could have helped me with

This is a 1-star (or worse) experience even ignoring the fact Im not thrilled to have been towed at all.Staffed exclusively by surly, shiftless monsters, this place is nightmarish to the point of surreality.The only reason they have a rating as high as 1.7 is the fact that Googles scale starts at 1. Runnnnnn, this place only accepts cash and doesnt let check for damages as they park your vechicle to close to others. Had to wait for them to tow it out of place otherwise there was no way of getting vechicle out.

They towed my carvand i payed 402.21 to get it back and when i drove off i noticed the transmission slipping and i stoped n saw thier was no fluid so i bought some and as soon as i did it poured straight to the ground this was my daily driver i spent my whole check getting it out now my car is broke thier so rude they wont help me now im waiting on the wrecker service to review the video n get back to me

I am highly upset I got a new car Saturday and I given my mother the old car by time we got back the office was closed and closed on Sunday so that she could get a sticker to put on the car my mother is having problems with her back and she have a Walking cane so she parked the car in front of her apartment cause where the vehicle have to be parked is far for her to walk and at the time the visitors parking was full Sunday morning I come to visit my mother and her car was gone they towed the car at midnight I had to come up with $230 and I feel like it was wrong I asked the man in the window why was it so high he got rude and asked me do I know how to read he told me I been calling him all day I told him man I never call you I told him to just give me my car so I can leave the windows was dark so you couldn’t see them really really bad and they don’t have to be rude!
