Steer clear. Dad had his ‘66 Chevelle bodywork finished and paint done at Rocket City. Dad took the frame home and finished it then brought it back to have the finished body dropped on it. After 18 months the car was finally “done.” Well, bodywork and paint were finished and he picked it up. He’s been building the car for the last year and has come across lots of shoddy workmanship from Mario’s guys. From breaking off a door henge bolt and leaving it, stretching metal and not replacing the gap with metal, not aligning the front clip properly, not cinching up the body mount bolts at all, unfinished interior paint, the list goes on. Now that the car is seeing the light of day you can tell that the body and doors, fenders, hood and deck lid were painted at a different time with a different mix and the shades are off by a good amount. $55K plus in this car and there’s a huge, glaring flaw that can’t be fixed.
