Im new to Houston, having moved here from Cleveland, OH. I took my car in to RPM because it was making a strange sound. The mechanic determined that it was the alternator, which he stated looked new and asked me if it might possibly be under warranty with another shop..IT WAS! I appreciated the heads up prior to them doing any work on my car. My warranty from the other shop covered the repair, but ALL repair work for my vehicle will be done at RPM from now on! My mom has been going to these guys since I was in first grade and Im 35 now. I, too, have gone to them for most of my driving life, the only exception being times I lived in other cities. Going elsewhere really helped to reaffirm what a gem I have in RPM; they are trustworthy, honest, punctual, and friendly, and they truly go out of their way to take care of their customers - all of which can be rare qualities in a mechanic. I cant over-emphasize the importance of trust in a mechanic; they will tell you exactly what your car needs, fix your car perfectly, will always give you a fair price, and most importantly, they will keep you safe on the road. They are like family and I am so grateful for them.

Excellent service. Came in for a faulty battery that was still under warranty through AAA. This shop was listed as a AAA approved facility. Tommy got vehicle in right away and replaced the battery in less than 20 mins. He was very professional. Inside waiting room was clean and well organized. I will use this establishment for future use.

Updated review for RPM -- this is a great shop that you can trust to provide excellent service. After 14 years on Houston roads, my car is not as pretty as she used to be, but she has staying power. The last time I reviewed, my car had 104,000 miles on it -- she is now at 180,000 and still going strong, thanks to the TLC she receives from RPM. Have been coming here for years, and I would not trust my car to anyone else -- I have even had oil changes go wrong elsewhere! You will not be disappointed in RPMs services or prices -- be sure to ask about their Car Club package -- a fantastic deal!

We always take our vehicles for service at RPM, they are the best!A few months ago my son, who attends college in Austin, was in need of some major vehicle repairs & was unable to get the car back here for Tommy to fix. I called RPM with some questions regarding the service required, price, etc. & spoke with Paul & Tommy. Tommy suggested I get the quote emailed to me, then forward it to him so that he could review it. I am relatively new with RPM, but I know that they will be my auto repair as long as I am needing one. They seem to know how to fix most problems in a complete and short period of time which we all need with the busy lives we need. The staff all are helpful and friendly and as someone who knows a limited amount about cars, I feel confident that they are doing a good job and not taking advantage of me. That goes a long way with me. I can usually get them to work on a problem right away or the next day. I feel that the prices they charge are reasonable for the work that is done. I am happy my neighbors suggested them to me.

I didnt actually get any work done at the shop. But thats the point here. Im from ATX and I was in town for work. I got in my car to head back to Austin but my car wouldnt start. So with AAAs advice, I had it towed to RPM Automotive. I called in the morning and Paul let me know that theyre checking out the car and they would get back to me. When he called, he mentioned that once they got the car up on the bay, it started perfectly and it continued to do so every time they tried. So he said he could only really guess what was wrong but he wouldnt do any work to the car under that premise. He said that the car was ready and it was good to pick up. I got it all the way back to Austin and hopefully Ill figure out whats going on.My point of this long story? He could have told me anything. I was stuck the proverbial rock and a hard place. I had to get home. I had one car. And it was in his shop. I fully expected to pay a lot of money to get my car fixed. And in the back of my mind I expected to get hustled because of my predicament. But in my opinion, Paul did exactly the opposite. He walked me through what happened and what he thought was wrong in layman terms. He proceeded to advise me on what he thought I should do and let me go on my way.I couldnt have asked for better service and a honest experience. Im thankful for Paul and the crew at RPM automotive

I have been taking my vehicle to RPM for service for many years. Last week since I was working from home due to the Houston lockdown, I thought is would be a good ides to have my car serviced for general maintenance. Tommy picked up my SUV form my home in the morning and retuned in the afternoon. As always good service and honest assessment of what needed to be done.

Paul Stafford at the front desk is a good guy, he wont jerk you around. Good atmosphere, an old coke machine and a dog in the lobby. Did quick work on my F-150 and repaired what I had wrong when they could have easily upcharged for a replacement. I recommend whole-heartedly.

Great and to the point. Finally honest mechanic ! I was sticker shock to first was told of the diagnostic cost but after I was impressed of check up and answers to problems Ive been having ongoing.

If you are looking for a repair shop that is Honest, Reliable and wont over charge you or sale you parts that you dont need then RPM is the shop for you.I went to RPM after going to the Honda dealership and being told that I needed CV Boots and a brake job at the cost of $ 1200.00. So I left he dealership and called RPM because it was a ASE certified mechanic. I also figured it wouild be cheeper than the dealership. I dropped my car off at RMP the next day I told them that I need my CV boots replaced they quoted me a price that was much cheaper that the dealership. To my surprise they called me back and hour later asked me who told me that I needed CV boots, because I did not. So I asked them to check the brakes also since I had been told that I needed brakes. They called me back and said while my brakes did show some wear their was no imediate need to change them.I was very impressed with RPMs honesty. They could have just did the repair work I requested and made the money. RPMs honesty spoke volumes. That is why RMP is the only place that I will take my car for repair.That was 3 years ago that I had my initial contact with RPM and they have done all my maintenance and repair work since then and I have been completely satisfied.
