DO NOT GO TO THIS PLACE IF YOU ARE A PERSON OF COLOR! They lied to me to avoid servicing my vehicle. When I called on the phone, I was welcomed to bring my car in for an inspection. However when I got there, they told me the machine was broken and that they had no way of letting me know (even though I had booked the appointment online and provided my email). So I waited a week and tried again. This time I called first to make sure their inspection machine was working. I was told to just bring the car in, I didnt need an appointment. This was in the late afternoon. Early the next morning I brought the car in. Once they saw me, I was informed, again, that their machine was broken. I told them I had already called and confirmed that it was working less than 24 hours ago. The guy stuck to his story and sent me away. Either they are bigots, or they have the shoddiest machinery in town. Although I live around the corner from these people, I will never be back.

He also let me know that there was an easier place to get my registration sticker done after and I never knew I could get the registration sticker done at Kroger or H-E-B. Definitely saved me some time and gas with that one. Also, his customer service was exceptional and I was in and out in no time. I think I’m going to come here more often to see what other services they offer should I need anything else done for my car. I’m willing to give this business a try. ☺️

Im giving 1 star because I cant choose -10. Dropped my SUV off at this shop because it was overheating and I couldnt drive it to my mechanic on the other side of town. They ran a cooling diagnostic and quoted me $1,300 to repair it.He said this was needed:Thermostat2 heater hosesRadiator seal is leaking coolantSerpentine belt needs replacingI asked how much to replace the thermostat and heater hoses, he quoted $600. I paid the $70 diagnostic fee and had it towed to my mechanic.My mechanic said the radiator (which was replaced less than a year ago) didnt have any coolant in it, he filled it with water to find the leak, he ran it and it didnt overheat and he found no leaks. The thermostat, belt and heater hoses were fine. He said I would need to replace the timing belt at some point but may as well get a new engine because it costs so much. Since it wasnt overheating and he couldnt find any leaks I had him replace the thermostat just in case. I paid $85 for everything. My SUV runs well, no overheating!I will always have my vehicles towed to my mechanic no matter how far I am from his shop from now on.

I drop my pickup off in the afternoons, pickup it back up before close. I don’t know what they do to my pickup in there but I’m never low on blinker fluid and my Dad says they always fill up the A.I.R. canister so I have fresh oxygen in the cab. I sure do need it with this cooler weather happening. Anyways there’s new management up in the office it seems. No more Jeff, so these new guys are cool they said my tires were low so I’m guessing they sang them a song to cheer them up. Really nice of them.

They saved the day! We just had our car serviced here and had a great experience! Our car had broken down and we were on a very strict time crunch as we needed to be back in Arizona the next day. They had our car in and out just in time! They were very curious and very helpful. Shannon was very polite and answered all our questions! Would definitely recommend if in need of having your car serviced.

I live in NJ and work on my own vehicles. I try to know my way around and when I purchased a truck in Texas it was a little hard to trust a place I had never met. These guys came recommended from another mechanic in the Houston area and I must say he was right. These guys did a car inspection for me and were so thorough I was absolutely amazed. I appreciate their honesty and time that they had spent on looking over the truck for me. I definitely would recommend them. A+ in my book.

Honest guys. Where other shops would have gladly taken me down the rabbit hole of parts I dont need, the folks at Auto Check have told me truthfully what I need to fix and what I dont need to worry about. They have taken me back into the shop to physically show me exactly what is going on with my car, which I really appreciate and shows their character. They have been able to diagnose issues free of charge. As a young first time car owner, they have been a huge help in saving money and headaches.

I have had my fair share of auto mechanic shops that i have taken my car to but this one has been the best so far. Connolly (dont know if i go the spelling right) was amazing. He was so genuine kept me updated with my car progress (really nice guy!!). Auto check will even take you to where you need to be if you have no other ride. Easily one of the best car repair experiences Ive ever had..from the 1st phone call explaining everything all the way until the last transaction everything was explained to me in detail. No Suprises except how great this place was..they fixed my vehicle and assured if have any problems to call them immediately. I would definitely recommend this place if you want honest quality work with excellent customer service.

First off, these guys hands down have some of the best customer service Ive ever experienced in a garage or anywhere else for that matter. I had them fix my a/c, and Id thought it was a little pricey but they did the job right and were really accommodating with my tight schedule. A few months later I needed exhaust work done. I went to brand name muffler shops first thinking I might get a better deal. 3 different stores told me the part was going to have to be ordered, wouldnt be in until the next day, and the whole job would set be back around $650. On the way home I stopped at Auto Check to see what they could do, and they were amazing. Whereas every other shop was just going to replace the entire part, these guys got in there to see what was broken, and only replaced two components, getting the job done that day and for less than half the cost. Theyre always willing to offer to drive you home or to work, and theyre always up front with the worst case scenario costs. I moved here from out of state and left a trusted mechanic at home, but feel totally confident going to these guys while Im in Houston. I highly recommend them. **I have to note that since having my a/c done Ive talked to a few people about it and looked into the cost a bit on the internet, and for the work it wouldve taken on my car I now do not think they overcharged me. Thanks for the great service guys!

Called and asked for a quote for an oil change. 40 bucks. Go there, they say about 45 minutes....about 45 minutes later they call and say its ready. I pay the 40 dollars. So easy. So quick. No hassles, no bs that i need other work done. Get in, get out. Ill be coming back here from now on.

Great place for quick, honest, and friendly service.

My company uses this shop for a couple of our work trucks. So far our experience has been good. We had oil changes, state inspections, alignments, front suspension and a few other services done. The service is always great, good attitudes, and I am able to drop vehicles off and get a ride back to my work place, which is a big help to me. I started taking my personal vehicle there for oil changes and minor repairs as well. One thing to remember is that when they work on your vehicle and find a potential problem they make you aware of it with their recommendations. They have never tried to push me or over sale their service. I appreciate that! I am a repeat customer for my company and personal vehicles.

I absolutely LOVE this place, and its so close to my job, so they are the only company I have taken my vehicle to. Its not easy to find Kind, Intelligent and HONEST people now-a-days, but thats exactly what you get when you come to Auto Check.If you have never tried Auto Check I suggest you do. Now this is service! At the Wyndham Hotel Houston West, went to get in my car and the battery was about as dead as could be. Fortunately, one of the hotels Sales Managers called Raul at Auto Check, who promptly sent someone over to jump start my car (at no charge). I followed him across the street and my battery was replaced within minutes. The waiting room was cool (Grease Monkey-like), and the service professionals were just that - professionals who know what the word service means. I found a new place for all of my auto service needs!

My first two visits was great. I noticed I didn’t see my other review. If you’re a woman they try to take advantage of you. I wrote a review last year where they claimed they did a diagnostic and found that my gasket cover was still leaking. Since it was under warranty I took it back. They said it was something else... keep in mind they did the diagnostic for $99. Supposedly it was fixed but the oil smell was worse. When I brought it back Shannon claimed it was missed diagnosed by the technician and it was leaking for the oil pan... they changed the oil... then he mad a video that I still have saying it from the manifold...so you tried charging me for a diagnostic that your mechanic did and know you saying that your mechanic don’t know what he was doing...get a second opinion before allowing this shop to work on your car. Please don’t go there if you’re a woman. Also, the owner is rude and have no respect for women and I he talk to them. I will never recommend this place to no one🧐

Matthew is an exceptional individual. I (unfortunately) have had to send my car out to Auto Check One for repairs multiple times, and Matthew is always very straightforward and honest about the type of repairs needed. I have dealt with other repair shops and always feel that Im being cheated or played. Not with Matthew and his amazing team. They do exactly what is needed and they do it right the first time. Matthew is attentive, very personable and extremely knowledgeable about cars.

I searched online for good reviews for a repair shop close by to replace the drive belt & spark plugs on my 2006 Hummer H3 and found Auto Check on Park Row. After talking to Brian on the phone, I took my Hummer in for an inspection & quote and after some discussion I authorized the work and they drove me home while they worked on my car. They called and said it was ready so my wife took me back, I paid and drove off. Then the engine light came on. I immediately went back and after inspection and talking to them we discovered that I had a long term, slow leak in the radiator and then after further looking the whole top of my radiator was cracked. It made sense to me because I then realized I had been smelling antifreeze somewhat for several weeks but nothing ever really clicked to me that something was wrong. Well, I was going to Austin the following day, now its 4pm and I need a new radiator. They closed at 6pm. Brian got on the phone and found a new radiator, hoses etc., and they stayed till nearly 8pm to get the all fized for me so I could make my trip to Austin the following morning. The mechanic that worked on this also found loose battery terminals and fixed them, replaced the thermostat and a couple of other little things he found….at no charge! I cant say enough good things about my first experience with Auto Check. Brian, Raul and Sam helped me in so many ways and I can truly say I found a shop that actually cared about my situation and they went beyond the call of duty to help me.Ill be going back to Auto Check for sure.

Due to the convenient location, I have used this shop on multiple occasions. While I have had mixed experiences, their top management appears to care about their customers. Tip: If coming for a state inspection, verify that the VIN is correct on the test results prior to leaving the premises.

My second time to use Auto Check and they went beyond call of duty. My serpentine belt broke and I had to be towed into the shop at closing time. They ordered the parts and had them delivered before I showed up and completed the job after hours without complaining. They are true heroes because my trailer was sitting in a parking lot and could have been stolen if I would have waited till the next day. Beautiful work guys! Im really happy.

Matt, Moe, and Mac are the best! This is a 1st class organization where everybody knows your name. This is the only place I take my vehicles and recommend to my friends and associates. Why? Because I TRUST them. Theyve never done shoddy work and always give me the best advice regarding my vehicles. I needed alignment and balancing on my vehicle. Since they are a costco auto program participating repair shop, I decided to schedule an appointment with them. The staff was very professional and courteous from the beginning. I had another appointment and just wanted to drop my vehicle off and take a uber to my nearby appointment place. But Eric (front desk rep) went above and beyond to ask me if I had a ride and offered me a loaner car for my errands. My vehicle was ready when I got back after couple of hrs... my job was simple, I didnt expect loaner. But a good business knows to treat its customers. Auto Check got my vote. 👍

Ok this has been pending for a long time. Here it goes -I have been to this service center a few times for engine light on, repairs, oil change etc. and they never fail to impress. The staff is courteous esp. Moe, they are genuine with their estimates and with their service.The gist is that they know their stuff. They would explain it to you in depth about any information you need about the repairs.I would go again.

Decided to give these guys a shot after reading some of the rave reviews, The customer service is excellent, very friendly, offered to drive me to work while they look my car over for an estimate. Everyone was great and thats the only reason I am leaving 2 stars. I went in complaining of a rough ride and a weird sound coming from wheel well. They suggested me to replace my suspension system for 1200+ my car only has 60,000 miles and I knew there was no way my suspension was shot so I took it to another mechanic for a second opinion and right away he diagnosed my hub assembly and for less than $200 I was on my way. I could have potentially paid thousands to solve my problem at Auto check when replacing my suspension didnt solve my problem. Great customer service but someone really dropped the ball here.

In transit from San Antonio to Atlanta, my car broke down just off I-10 near here so AAA brought me over. It took all day for them to find the part for an old car but they did. Drove me to a nearby restaurant for lunch. Made sure I was comfortable and everyone apologized that it was taking so long. They couldnt have treated me better.

If I could give this place 10 stars I would. This place is so awesome and is 100% for the customers. Ive had the best customer service here. We had an issue with another place and the parts they put on our truck. These guys called the other place and made them pay for the parts that they damaged in our transit to Texas. I would refer everyone to come here. And I will also come here for all my car care needs. Not to mention great prices! Thanks again!

Friendly service, and I couldnt believe they buffed out some white paint from a car that hit me, that the car wash didnt even offer to buff out for me. They went OVER THE TOP and I love it. Got to know the owner Sam, who was constantly giving me updates on the progress. They checked things my old car company never checked and not being pushy about selling me stuff, but making me aware of issues for the future. Exactly what I wanted from an autoshop. So Id been having this engine idle issue for a little while and brought it to them to check out. I brought it in two different days and they were never able to replicate the issue. As frustrating as it was, they were very professional and supportive and didnt charge me a penny since they never found anything. Even gave me rides to my office.So, in the end, they never actually did any work but I was impressed with their integrity. They could have pushed me to just start replacing things.Ill be coming back.

Months ago I endured an unpleasant experience getting new tires when Matthew, the previous manager, would not own up to the damages to my wheels upon installation. I left feeling frustrated, helpless and cheated.But Sam, the new owner, is the polar opposite; he called me up and offered to rectify the problem and went out of his way to ensure my experience was positive.There could not be a better display of great customer service and is evidence that Sam truly believes in treating customers with care and respect.I will be a return customer!

They replaced a window on my rear passenger door after it was broken into. Now, any time I open it, the entire thing comes apart. But hey at least the customer service was good.Update : They fixed the door proper, did not charge me extra and called to ask how everything was a couple weeks later

My car was fixed properly HOWEVER someone put over 20 miles on my car from the time the inspection was done and the time I picked it up. The drivers seat was set down way low, the seat back way laid way back like someone was cruising in it. Its that kind of unprofessionalism that will keep me from coming back.Update...2 weeks later and my brakes started having the same issues. I guess they didnt fix it properly and Im out $300

I have used this location for 3 years last week the guy is messed up on an oil change a job that took one hour ended up taking 6 Sam the manager offered for me to bring the car in the following week for a complimentary coolant flush even though the initial job was not done correctly Sam the manager took the time to make sure that the follow up with completed thoroughly and called me twice its pretty rare in a big city to get such personal attention on your car
