Carlos is one bright smart man!

This man will not save you money. He will fix other issues and charge you over $300 and NoT* solve the main issue you had in the first place.He sometimes charges for the diagnostic depending if he is in the mood or not. Please be aware he compares his prices to Sackett repair shop. I would recommend other shops by Tidwell and northside.He bases his price by location. Was not worth the money. Did not fix the problem.

They do good work. They overcharge you for parts though, which is fairly standard amongst mechanics. I am lowering my rating to 3 stars becuase they were not honest about that. You are better off buying the part yourself and just paying for their service.

I came in to their shop in the afternoon with some simple repairs that I needed, and they fixed it within a couple hours and I was on my way. They gave a reasonable price and were courteous. I will use them again.

If you work downtown, this is your guy. He needs business, and he deserves it.Great work, nice guy, and he will take care of you for a better price than anyone else around. Ive taken my cars to him for years, and just moved back to the neighborhood -- very glad to have A&S up the street again.Also, a year or so ago, I recommended him to my companys HR person for replacement of a power steering pump she had been quoted a high number for--A&S did it for well under that number and she was very happy.(This Google pic is old -- place is still blue, but the graffiti murals are new and awesome.)(Also, dont be a wuss about the appearance of the place inside -- its a good shop and the guys work for a living. If your mechanics shop is an air-conditioned, sterile environment, thats nice -- but youre paying for it!)
