Ability really came thru for our vacation.Another rental company that I had booked thru and paid for oversold cars. I found Ability and they were very easy to work with. The car was a little older, but safe and reliable.Easy pick up and return.Outstanding staff. Very Bad experience, Car was 3 years old and not new at all, Had tons of scratches and was all banged up, Inspection Sticker was expired and invalid, Car was very dirt I had to buy windex and paper towels to clean off the dirty black film on all the windows, and the check engine light was on this may be acceptable for their local in town clients ( ABILITY )but they definitely need to upgrade their cars for ( ACE. )

Convenience but cars are not cared for properly. Dirty, smells like cigarettes n weed when I turn on the a/c.. seats are dirty, stained. hope I dont have to settle for them again.

This place has a bad odor and cars are dirty and nasty. The cars are beat up and smells really bad. The building was very musty. And the workers were very unprofessional. DONT GO HERE !! I was itching all the way home

Good customer service But all the vehicles were raggedy interior and exterior, they tried to put me in a vehicle that was obviously water damaged with check engine light on, I really needed a vehicle so I took another vehicle but had to return it the very next day because all the tires where bad and the vehicle drove horribly

Jillian and Sandra did an outstanding job. Went to purchase a vehicle from 2 dealerships and was treated less than human. Because of these two professionals Ive had one of the best birthdays in a long time.

Rented a car with a $200 deposit. Drove the car to Galveston spent two days there then the car was sat while we were on a cruise. Returned the vehicle same amount of gas nothing was harmed to the car. Returned the vehicle and got on our flight. This was in July! I still have not received a refund despite several emails to the company. Not ok. This place is a scam. Cars are not new. Next I will be submitting a claim with BBB then small claims court! I conveniently have credit with Southwest so I will fly to Houston just to make them pay what they need to if this is not resolved ASAP as this caused overdraft charges on my account and I am not happy. They think because I am from out of state nothing will happen. Well they are wrong!

Ronnie and his team of great employees at Ability Rent A Car were so helpful to me and really saved my bacon on a recent trip to Houston! Its a budget rental car service with 5-star customer treatment. They are polite, patient, respectful, and over-the-top helpful....even if youre not a millionaire. Love this business and will absolutely use their services again!

I used Ability Rent A car about 2 weeks ago and I can say that Ability Rent A Car was great in being able to rent me a car so quickly. The small staff was kind and Mitchell was very helpful and answered all the questions I had. I will certainly recommend them and use them again if I come back. P.S They had neat memorabilia around the shop.

The EXPERIENCE was SUB PAR. Yes they have great customer service, talking wise, but the vehicles are hand me downs that are filthy! The woman did clean the inside but the outside was caked in dirt. I have rented from this place two times and both times the vehicles were horrid! On the last rental I didnt even have a keyless entry. If you are looking to rent a newer model vehicle that is not dirty and not one step away from being a clunker then this is not the place for you! I suggest reading the reviews and not the reviews done by management!

I rented a car from August 3rd to 7th to show someone around Houston. Since I am under 21, it was difficult to find a place that would rent to me. When I called, the staff was extremely friendly and answered all my logistical questions very clearly. Once we arrived to pick the car up, Mitchell was very accommodating and made us both feel welcome. The process didnt take longer than 20 minutes. The car itself was in good condition and very fuel efficient. We had no issues using it even with all the driving we did over 5 days. Would recommend!

Definitely recommend! They were extremely helpful with me being a cash paying customer (I dont use cards) They had a sizable selection of cars all of which were clean and vacuumed. Jillian one of the clerks in the front had the best customer service and was very polite. I will be back for all my rental needs.

Absolutely love this place, always use them when I come into town (I travel a lot). Staff is very friendly and have very nice cars with no issues when I rent them. Prices are better than most rental companies as well.

Staff was friendly but they got over on me. I rented a car to go out of town to a funeral and a wedding. Long story short the key fell out of the key pad and by the time I saw that I couldn’t go to the funeral or wedding. The brakes wasn’t good on the car and the car had a lot of dents. They FedExed me a key overnight wen I got it I came right back to Texas and had a wasted weekend. They took me deposit for something that wasn’t my fault. I will not recommend them to anyone. That’s what I get for going to a off the wall car rental.

These people are theives! After you tell them you are coming to pay for the car they basically come steal the car back with all your personal important belongings until the full payment is made, they tack on the dumbest charges. Also i asked for proof for them saying they are aloud to hold my belongings and they couldnt ever show proof they have a sign at the front desk typed up like handmade saying that after 7 days if not claimed personal stuff they will donate it! What the heck! I came up here the next day after they picked the car up, all my work stuff was in there I literally just needed my ipad, laptop and dress work clothes out and they could have held the rest. One all of this is unnecessary. I will never recommend this mom and pop shop ever to anyone no matter how bad it is! They could have just called me that morning and i would have just handed over the keys to get my stuff out with no problem. They have no respect.

Scam artists with filthy cars that are not maintained properly. They keep taking my review down because its negative and Ill just keep putting it back up. DO NOT RENT FROM THESE PEOPLE. They tried to sit me for $8000 and got $1800 after asking for mental distress and lying about me being $3000 behind on the payments. Stay away.

I recently move here and rented a vehicle and days later encountered a problem. I call the office multiple times and spoke to Mary and days later to a Mechell for the manager Ronnie to reseach the issue. I also asked for each of there last name an dI was instructed by both partys they do not give out last names. RED FLAG Over a week went by and still no response just excuses. And as of today I have yet to speak with the manager nor receceive a call back from anyone for a resolution. ENSURE YOU HAVE NO OTHER OPTIONS & IF THIS COMPANY IS YOUR LAST RESULT for renting a vehicle.

Next day arrived at to pick up the car and Mary the manager says she wont let me take the car that far . Wasted 2 hrs of my time dealing with these clowns so I went to Budget had a great experience .
