These guys are simply the best. They do what they say they are going to do. They’re on time. They’re incredibly responsive. They’re easily the most knowledgeable A/C company I’ve ever worked with. They’re very fairly priced, but still do incredible work. I can’t say enough positive about them. They have a customer for life with me!
Courtesy is simply the best. To say theyre responsive is an understatement. On a hot summer day I was having AC issues, and called other local AC repair companies. Best they could do was 2-3 days out which is what I expected (After all, it is the height of the summer and AC issues are common). Courtesy, fit me in the very next morning!! Not to mention, as busy as they are youd think theyd hurry the job. To the contrary they were very thorough and made sure I was completely satisfied before they left. 5 stars! Im impressed!
This company is amazing…..they truly believe in customer service. They called with an eta and was here on time. My issue today ended up just being a circuit breaker that needed to be reset. They did not charge me for the call - even after I asked to pay something for their time.I have used this company for several years and will always recommend them to everyone I know!
We had an emergency A/C job that needed fixed fast. This team answered the call and came out the same day! They located the new A/C and had it installed in a few hours. They even stayed overtime when they had to do some customization to make it work with our existing setup. 5 stars!

Cant say enough about this company. The ac in one of my rentals stopped working on a Saturday evening when it was 95. Sunday was fathers day. Called up several companies, but no availability till later the following week. Called up Courtesy and talked to Brad. He asked me some specific questions and said he was close by finishing another call and would drop by. 15 min later he was at the house and took care of business. Thats what I call service! May have been lucky that he was in the area, but he took the time to service an additional customer that was not scheduled when his shift was over. Never rushed his repair and even took time to do a quick inspection on my system. Very honest. Definitely would recommend.
Absolutely outstanding from a consumer experience to execution on the repair. After a nightmarish experience with Abacus, who attempted to charge 6k at a minimum, we fortunately found Brad and Courtesy to restore the unit to a better condition than ever for a fraction of the cost.Will definitely use Courtesy for all future needs. Courtesy A/C & Heating ROCKS! About five years ago, I called them to get a quote on a new air conditioning unit. Mine went kaput in the middle of the summer. They came out promptly and the quote was unbeatable. They installed the A/C within a day or two. So then the next year, I had them quote me for my A/C unit for the upstairs, and again price unbeatable. So from then on, I will never go to any other A/C Heating company. You ask why? Because first of all, they are dependable which many contractors are not. They are honest and give unbeatable quotes. Communication is always on point. AND well I have add, they are the most nicest and genuine Michiganders (people from Michigan) I know.I also want to point out that I NEVER write reviews. You ask why? I am just lazy when it comes writing a reviews. However, I called a day ago because I had an issue with my Nest thermostat, which OnTech had installed. Courtesy A/C came out lickety split and within minutes problem was solved.So to make your life much more easier, stop researching and call these guys. They ROCK!
I called Courtesy AC and Heating because of an AC issue that needed to be looked at, and had to leave a message. Honestly I wasnt expecting a call back, but Brad called me back in a couple hours and was very informative, honest, professional, and very kind. Everything that I appreciate as a consumer. He scheduled a tech to come out the next day. Mike came out early within my appt window, he called me when he was on his way, and was just as informative, professional, and kind as Brad had been. We needed to have our AC repaired on a Sunday and we were having trouble finding a company that would come out on Sunday. Then, I came across Courtesy AC and saw they had good reviews. I’m so glad I found them! Mike answered the phone right away and gave us estimated times of when he would be able to make it out to us. He arrived right on time and was able to figure out the issue quickly and fixed it. He was good at explaining things to my husband and I in way that was easy to understand. He was also super respectful, professional, and very knowledgeable. He worked quietly since my youngest was napping when he came and interacted with my oldest child. Our AC stopped blowing cold air. Called Courtesy AC on a Saturday morning and they had someone out that afternoon. Mike evaluated the problem and explained the issue. Bearings going out and causing the compressor to overheat flipping the breaker. He didnt have the motor in stock but said hed get it Monday and be out to fix. Hurricane Beta arrived Monday so Mike suggested the weather looked good for Thursday. When Beta broke early he called and was out at end of day Wednesday to put us back under (glorious) blowing AC. [If you live in Houston you know how important that is.]One of the best interactions Ive ever had with a service company. Friendly, professional, courteous, and informative. Cannot recommend highly enough.

I called because of concerns of mold around one of our AC vents. Brad kindly explained that it was likely just some condensation and to just clean it up and add some insulation to soak up any moisture but they would have someone out the next day to have a look. Little did I know that my husband had also contacted someone who is able to come out same day. The person discovered that one of the ducts had become disconnect and so just reconnected it but recommended that we change out all of our ducts.I called bad back the next day to see if you could provide an estimate for changing out all of our ducts. He spent some time just talking through this with me and addressing any concerns I had. The reason we did not use this business is because he recommended we didn’t need to do anything yet!I honestly appreciated Brad giving taking the time to listen and give sound advice. When we do have AC work, I will definitely be using them!
After getting a sour taste from a local AC repair chain, I decided to shop around, and thankfully landed on Courtesy AC and Heating. Brad was very personable and made me feel like we were working on a solution TOGETHER. I called him on a Monday morning to have my furnace/blower replaced, and by the end of the day, it was swapped out and I had air blowing again! The service team was very professional, skilled and courteous. I would definitely recommend him to my family and friends.
I called 4 different companies on a thursday evening and Brad was the only one that responded - immediately he took an interest on the fact that our A/C had gone out and it was 86 degrees inside the house - he came by the next morning and after a proper evaluation, he explained in clear and verifiable terms the root and cause of the problem - then he offered an action plan with an estimate, that I found it to be fair enough to give him the green light to proceed - by 6:30 that same evening, the evaporator coil had been replaced, the refrigerant was refilled and cold air was beginning to flow again out of the air vents, hallelujah !Its worth mentioning that by the time they finished the temperature in the house was 92 degrees - yep, thats Houston in the summertime, for those that are new to our city.We just needed somebody thats knowledgeable, professional, that would do what was contracted for in a timely and efficient manner and they delivered - thats good enough for me.I give Courtesy a 5-Star rating because they deserve everyone of them, they easily checked all the boxes - No Sweat !

I had an excellent experience with Courtesy AC & Heating. I had a room on the far side of my house that had a 10 degree difference from the rest of the home depending on summer or winter. I called Courtesy on Saturday and they answered immediately and had someone out at my place later that evening. After reviewing the situation they made a cost effective recommendation and had a team out within 2 days. The cost was very affordable and the install only took 3 hours to add a completely new vent to the room and balance the system with added dampers. That night a cold front hit and I couldnt even tell the difference between that room and the rest of the house anymore. Really awesome service by the entire team. Mike managed the entire process and it went smoothly! I highly recommend Courtesy.

On a Sunday, in the middle of the Houston summer, Brad came out within a few hours to check on our broken AC. Had a complete new system installed the next day. Fast, responsive, and very fairly priced. Great service.
I called around to several A/C contractors in search of a same day appointment. Courtesy set me up for a same day appointment for sometime after lunch depending on completion of another job. Never a clue this would not happen today.Later in the day I was called and the arrival time I was narrowed down to 3 to 4PM. At 5:30 I recieved a call stating that the technician was in another part of town, was on their way and would arrive between 6:30 and 7PM. My next and only subsequent contact came at 10:35 PM. The technician offered no reason for being missing in action for 5 hours, yes 5 hours. He said he could be at my house in 20 to 30 minutes (arriving at 11PM) and asked if I still wanted him to come. Initially I said yes, probably the heat getting to me, but I called back and said do not come.He offered to come the next day but with my confidence in Courtesy at nearly zero, I decided not to go down the same road twice. Something just did not seem right about the 5:30 to 10:30 situation.I chose Courtesy because of great Google reviews but I did not find the same level of service or professionalism as others. Sadly, quite the opposite.
We Called Courtesy A/C-Heat Sunday at 5:30pm within two hours Mike knocked on our door and was the most professional service tech Ive ever encountered. Pleasant, well groomed, explained the problem, what happened, showed us the defective part on the test meter explaining what went wrong, Then tested the new part on his meter showing us where the readings are supposed to be. Checked our filters, explained proper thermostat settings, waited till the home began to cool then used a laser beam temp sensor, checked the cooled air reflected on the walls and all output from all the vents. Then finally gave us tips on preventive maintenance on the main unit outside, all at a reasonable price. Superior service the old fashion way, now we found our new a/c service company.
Called Sunday morning, picked up my call right away, person was friendly and helpful. Said someone would get back to me within an hour. MIKE called in that time frame! Told me he would be here at 11am, called to say he was on his way. Showed up on the dot! A total pro, very nice, curteos and knowledgeable. Not to mention affordable! I contacted Brad at 7 PM about an air conditioner that was barely cooling (running 24 hrs a day to keep house at 80 degrees) and wanting to replace the inside and outside units (had been trying to nurse the AC along for a while, but finally gave up). The install team came the next day and had my new unit quickly installed. Great service and great price too! Have used Courtesy for several years now and will continue to do so.

Im... on the fence here. I should premise this with, its dependent on the area youre in. I wasnt super impressed with the guy in my area, but that doesnt mean that person working in another location of Houston isnt amazing.Pros: (1) Showed up. (2) Good prices for services. (3) Explored a bunch of options to fix prior to spending big bucks to replace the unit.Cons. (1) Guy said hed be there in the morning. Stayed home from work to meet him. Hour after the scheduled appointment, called, and he said he didnt have me down on the schedule until that evening.... Uh huh. (2) I got a quote for the major repairs prior to starting. When the guy arrived, I got the distinct impression that if our little fixes didnt work (i.e. flushing lines, replacing coolant, etc.), he was going to high-tail it out of there because he didnt want to do the work. Our attic is tight, and it would have been a pain, but a quote is a quote is a quote.Im not entirely sure the little fixes actually solved our problem. If they didnt, I think Ill be looking to another service provider.

These guys right here!!!! I am BEYOND thankful for them! I just moved into a new house and the AC just wasn’t working well. It was stuck at 79/78 degrees while being set to 72. The previous 4 days the rental company had a different company come look at the AC but all they would say is it was fine and it just wouldn’t get any better. No other explanation. Finally deciding to take matters into my own hands, I spoke with Brad and told him what was going on! VERY VERY KIND PERSON!!!! After explaining what was going on Brad requested his man Mike to come to our house and just check things out and see what was possibly going on. Mike was just as kind as Brad! After a terrible experience with another AC company, Courtesy was honest and helpful!I had the first company out for routine maintenance on my ac units. After the service the owner of the company told me that 3 of my units were on the verge of breakdown (all 5-6 year units, so perfectly within their life span) and that my ductwork was messed up. I was skeptical but told him I would call if/when we had an issue.Shockingly, my AC stopped working the next day. I decided to get a second opinion and called Courtesy.Courtesy quickly diagnosed and fixed the issues (one compressor was unplugged, one had the breaker flipped, one had the vents open to pull air from the hot attic and pump that vs cold air). Despite obvious foul play on the part of the first company, Courtesy did not try to blame them or say anything negative about them beyond asking me to call Courtesy first next time. They were affordable, honest, fast, and showed me how to double check these simple fixes in the future should the need arise.They have a customer for life!
Very pleased with my experience with Courtesy A/C. Brad was in constant communication and went the extra mile to have a crew make our repairs that same day despite his full schedule and my last minute request. Had new American Standard equipment installed fast and at a very competitive price. Crews were very polite and cleaned up after themselves. I would definitely recommend these folks. They will be my go to guys for all my A/C work.
Another company had told me I had a freon leak and needed an emergent AC replacement with a goodman unit for $6k. Called Tom and he said they could put in a higher quality unit for 4k. They came out, and told me that there was no freon leak, and after a quick solution, my original unit works great, no need for replacement. Saved thousands. Never even charged me a dime for their time. Tom and Brad are good honest people. Great prices. Will be calling them when my AC dies.
Our AC stopped working over the past weekend. I decided to call Courtesy bc they were the first company that popped-up with great reviews. We can definitely see why. Having someone come out on a Sunday when your ac breaks isnt easy, but Mike came without hesitation. He was already working on 2 other jobs when I had called, but he still made time to fit us into his busy schedule. He was easy to talk to and very informative. Finding the right person that you can trust to work on your house isnt always easy, but it was with Mike. He definitely gives his all to ensure that the job is done right.
I had an emergency A/C leak on Mothers Day and Courtesy AC went above and beyond. They took my call immediately, diagnosed the possible problem over the phone, and had a technician (Mike) come over ASAP. I was on a time crunch because of Mothers Day, but Mike was still prompt and thorough in fixing the issue. Also, price was fair and I wasnt even charged for the small part needed to fix the problem. This family owned business is amazing. My (very young) AC decided to stop working last week and I contacted another service first (ARS). When the technician arrived he was extremely gruff and rude and just showed me a picture of my frozen over coil and said it would be $1600 and someone else would come tomorrow and that I needed to “be up early,” as if I don’t wake like an adult who works. He really gave no other information and acted like it was a giant inconvenience that he had to come out. He was in and out of my house in under 10 minutes. The next day, I called Courtesy AC. They had David come out to my property within an hour. David was not only extremely personable, he took a look and came down and told me exactly what the problem was, how it happens, and what they can do to fix it. He had the AC running again that evening so we wouldn’t be without air and his people came back the next morning and replaced the part and everything. They returned a few days later to make sure all was still well and double check their work. The best part was, they didn’t make me feel like an inconvenience in my own home. I would recommend them a thousand times over!

Ive been gouged before by some of the bigger names, so when my A/C started acting up again, I decided to try a local family-owned small business. I called on a Friday morning and someone was able to come out within an hour or so. The service was thorough and professional. I just needed some more refrigerant and he made sure I understood exactly what he was doing and how much he was putting in. I learned a lot and was happy that the bill was more than reasonable. They have some of, if not the, best prices in Houston.
I received a reply within minutes on contacting Courtesy Air Conditioning. I wanted both the A.C compressor, and condenser units replaced, along with the Gas Furnace.. Mr. Mike Roach from Courtesy inspected my units, spending a long time in the attic. He showed the photos he had taken, and in length explained in laymans term, the work involved. I was totally impressed with the integrity and honesty Mr. Mike Roach displayed, there was no sales pitch. Both my A.C. and Furnace are now installed by Courtesy. I had another bid from a company that advertises on TV all the time., their price was higher, and the representative kept reminding me to sign a contract, before I change my mind on the price . I am glad I had Courtesy handle the project, with Mr. Mike Roach.

I have been using Courtesy AC & Heating for over 20 years; I highly recommend this company and have always been extremely pleased and satisfied with their excellent work and dependable service. I have personally used Courtesy to replace both of my outdoor AC units at my previous residence, replace all of the attic ductwork, as well as perform annual heating and air conditioning maintenance. I am now living in a larger home in Memorial and was able to have my furnace recently replaced within very short notice; this occurred during the busy Christmas holiday season and during a Houston cold spell. Tom Leys, the owner, is as honest and knowledgeable as anyone I have ever met, and Courtesys technicians and installers are all polite, friendly, and very well informed. In my 20 plus years of trusting Courtesy to handle my home air conditioning and heating needs, I have never been disappointed. I came home from work to what had become a worse problem with my Air Conditioning.I called at 5:30 pm and had a technician at my door by 8:30 pm.Willie, quickly determined the refrigerant was low and add 2 LBS of R-22 to the system. He also checked the rest of the system for any obvious issues.Everything was complete within about half an hour.It was dark/late, so we did not take the time to fully search if there was any tiny leaks, but there was not any obvious leaks as the system was holding pressure steady.The technician was courteous and helpful. Unfortunately R-22 is $60/lb from them but that is to be expected as R-22 is being phased out.
Courtesy Air was everything I needed!I replaced my entire AC system, inside and out, and considering just how costly that is, I shopped around to at least 5-7 places. Courtesy not only came in at the lowest, but I couldnt imagine better service. I re-scheduled on them multiple times, but they always went out of their way to be available. Not only that, but when they did come by to install my new system, it took their crew of 6 less than 2 hours before I was up and running.Best deal in town, hands down would recommend.

Just like finding an honest mechanic to work on your car, once you find an honest AC company you want other people to know about it. That is why I am writing this review.Remember when you could hire honest people to do work for you and not worry about them ripping you off?Remember when you could trust a company to only charge you for the work you needed and not try to sell you something that you didnt need?Remember when you could negotiate a time to meet with the serviceman and they actually showed up and ON TIME?Remember when you could call a service man and he actually answered the phone?Remember when it never got hot in Houston? OK, that probably never happened, but it makes you wonder how people survived before air conditioning.I dont like spending a lot of money for repairs or new equipment, but it sure makes it easier to fork over the money when you trust the person selling you the service. When I bought my house my AC needed servicing. I called Courtesy AC and they got me fixed up. For years they nursed my old system along and never tried to talk me into buying a new system. When my system was about 23 years old the coils were corroded to the point that the unit could no longer cool my house. Courtesy said AC units had improved a lot since my unit was made and I would probably be better off with a new system. But, instead of trying to sell me a new system Courtesy also said they would repair my old system if I preferred. I decided it was time for a new system. It was easy for me to decide who I wanted to install my new system.If you are looking for an honest and hardworking AC company in the Houston area these guys are great.
