John did my nails today and he did great! I even left and scuffed a toenail, when I returned he fixed he fixed right up. Would recommend booking with John!

I made an appointment for July 3, 2021 at 2 pm which was canceled after being confirmed. Then, I made another appointment for today at 5 pm which was confirmed. I got to the appointment and the technician was not ready for me. I waited 22 minutes and was told it was going to be 15 more minutes. I had plans for the night and could not wait on the technician. Therefore, my nails or toes were not done. I will never go again because of the poor management and scheduling of employees.

Im not sure what happened to the place but the quality of service has went down. My nails did not last a week...

I’ve been getting my pedicure here for years. I recently decided to try getting my nails done here and quickly realized why I never did. I had 3 broken nails within 3 days of getting my full set. I waited to long to expect a repair from them so when I went almost 7 days later I just wanted a soak off. Kim at the front desk is extremely rude & unapologetic. I wasn’t expecting anything free but atleast act like you give a damn! Never again. CUSTOMER SERVICE IS EVERYTHING.

I was dissatisfied with my nails and when I went back was yelled at and argued with and just treated badly. Once they agreed to give me a refund, they cut the nails off roughly and continued to call me a liar.

This place is so bad. Me and my friends were waiting for 1 hour just to get seated. One of my friends got seated for an pedicure but nobody started on her, she was sitting there for 50 min. The guy at the front the the nail place was very disrespectful. Never coming back 👎

Ive been here twice. The first time Cindy didnt do the gel nails on my entire nail there was a noticeable gap. Second time Amy didnt even clean my fingers after walking out I realized I had polish on multiple fingers. I took my nieces here where they were asked if they wanted add ons and I was not aware. When I explained I was not told about the add on before they were done they didnt care this was their first time. I will not be going back here. Edited to add by Tuesday 3 days later my neices sns added tips started to break off and on Wednesday 4 days later my sns dipped cracked.

I had an SNS manicure done by Mary today, and it was amazing! She was meticulous and gentle and I am so happy with my nails!The salon was following CDC guidelines and I felt very safe while getting my nails done!Thank you, Mary and the rest of the salon staff! You guys are awesome!

This is a great spa for a pedicure! This was the first pedicure Ive gotten in about 10yrs. I got the detox, and it felt so good I almost got a manicure. They were fast and professional, I just wish I remembered to get the ladys name that did my pedicure. I gave the 4 stars because it was kind of expensive. I got a pedicure, my wife got a pedicure and a full set at $160 total. But it may just be the fact that its been so long since Ive had a pedicure done.

I requested “Bi” (pronounced Bee) ahead of time for my mani/pedi appt. because she always provides such good service. She is friendly and thorough during both services. I always feel relaxed when I leave the salon.

Went in one week ago for a gel mani and pedi. My nails looked great for 3 days, then they started lifting and peeling. Would have rated higher had they lasted at least 10 days. Ive had other gel mani and pedis that have lasted for 3 weeks easily. I expected more, especially since they were so expensive. Friendly service and timely given they were packed.

I received a gel manicure 7/11and within a few days my polish was lifting badly.. I went back 7/14 to get them fixed free of charge. I asked why the polish was lifting so easily and I didn’t get a clear answer.. They polish continued to chip throughout the week so I just took it all off. I’ve never had gel polish lift that easily, I didn’t even have to soak my nails to remove the gel.. Shawn did my nails initially and Kim “fixed” them. I won’t be back, highly disappointed.. such a waste of money..

Very disappointed in my last visit. Had SNS nails done. The cost was $70. I had to returned 3 times in one week to have them repaired the first time time being two days after they were done. The owner did not offer any compensation for having to make multiple trips and when I told him I would not come back to his salon any more he did not seem to care.

The staff is welcoming and always make you feel relaxed no matter how busy they are. I went to get my nails done for my wedding and they did a phenomenal job!

I came to get a pedicure & acrylics. My acrylics looked great, but the pedicure was EXTREMELY sloppy and poorly done. I came back to get it fixed to which they said well what is wrong with it and tried to only fix the big toe when it clearly needed to be redone. I suggested that they maybe used a bad quality or old bottle to reach they said they would charge for a different color. Extremely unprofessional & very low quality for a relatively high price. I will definitely not be coming back nor would I recommend anyone coming here.

Horrible Service. Very rude. I highly recommend Glossy Nails/ Nail star on 280. Ive been here before but I wanted to give this nail salon the benefit of the doubt. I have never been more dissatisfied with my nails. I have been getting acrylic gel nails for over 5 years and this is the first time I have ever had an issue with how my nails turned out. They are all completely uneven despite me speaking up and asking the nail tech to make changes to things that didnt look right to me. As I started to point out things wrong the tech started to get very rude with me. I have to get them completely removed and a whole new set applied because the shape cant even be saved. I wasted my money on this place.

This place s absolutely RACIST! as soon as I walked in the store, they gave me questionable looks and they serviced the woman that came after me first, even though we were getting the same job done. Next, the man told me to pay first assuming because he thinks i am going to steal and not pay ( which was NEVER gonna happen). He treated me with disrespect but he talked and smiled to other women. As a black woman it hurts me to be treated this way in a place made for all. This is a bad business and if you are a person of color please do not go here.

Just left this wonderful place with my wife and I had the most wonderful experience. Our nail techs Sara and Angeles gave the most relaxing pedicures weve ever experienced. And they also found time to keep my very talkative 3 year old son entertained. Will be returning real soon.

Got my nails done week after Memorial Day. About 3 days into having my SNS done, I found a chip on them. Next day several other chips were on other nails. So I called told them about it and asked if I could get them repaired and how much would it be. The lady said if she didn’t hear from me, then it would be no charge. I never heard from them so I went thinking it would be free. So when I got there the lady asked if I wanted a manicure and I hesitated at first but since I didn’t hear back from them I thought it was fine so I said yesSo afterwards the lady asked me to pay and I told her I spoke to someone who said that I didn’t have to pay, they questioned me like crazy asking who I spoke to, who did my nails the first time bc that employee is supposed to redo them.... they asked to see the charge on my phone and I had to give them the last 4 digits of my card. They also told me I was supposed to tell them which nails I wanted redone.. but the lady didn’t even ask me so I had no clue bc I have never had SNS chip less than one week of having them! I will never go back.

I had a gift certificate to use here. My experience was just okay but for $47 plus tip I would expect much better service. The tech just seemed like she wanted to rush through it all. (I had a “spa pedicure” and basic manicure.) I rarely go to nail salons but I know the paint should look better than it does. I could do a better job myself. My toe polish looks almost translucent, she didn’t bother putting on proper coats. The place was nice so I’ll give them that but I’ll never go back.

Very clean and relaxing environment! They do quality work at a good price! Im very klutzy and always smudge my nails right after theyre painted and they always are so nice to fix it for me right away, even when its my fault. Great place!

Sapphire does a great job on my nails, and the ladies in there are super nice! But the atmosphere is not relaxing. It is way too crowded, there’s always a wait, and the environment is chaotic and loud. I wish I could have the sweet ladies at sapphire do my nails in a quieter more peaceful relaxing environment. The owner does not care about customer satisfaction, he only cares about swiping the next credit card$$$.

I have used Sapphire for years. Today was probably the last. The young lady who did my pedicure ran cold water for me to soak my feet in. Then did not trim dried skin around my toes. At the end, she painted my toes with my toes pointing up- resulting in the polish pooling in the bottom corners of the big toes. When I asked her to redo the toes she looked dumbfounded. Same look as when I asked her to remove the dead skin from the toes. But she was Johnny-on-the -spot when it came time to pay, then she disappeared again.

I usually get my SNS dip powder done here often.. however today the young woman with the blonde ombré hair was very rude- she handled my hands in a very rough manner and was very careless in how she did my nails. I’m very dissatisfied with the service and the work. Won’t be coming back.

Sigh...they couldnt even do basic stuff right. My toenail polish is messy and dont get me started on these SNS nails they are crooked, tips are different lengths some are too big and some are too small for my nail; dude seemed like he was disinterested in doing any of it right. If their goal was to lose a customer; they succeeded.

My favorite nail salon in Birmingham/Hoover. Within the last month they have undergone renovations to create a nail bar in front. This allowed additional seating for fingernail services. They added a hostess who was very welcoming and sweet. They even added a shelving unit that houses multiple SNS and gel options. The back of the space is all about the pedicure. They still offer wax and massage services as well. Services provided based on your specifications. Enjoy!

Very unprofessional. Not consistent, will tell you one thing and do completely the opposite. The lady manager is extremely rude. They just lost a long time customer all because they didn’t want to honor the policy they put in place. I felt mistreated and it was very unfair how they treated me.

I love going here! They have lots of pedicure chairs and employees too. You never have to wait very long to be seated for your service. They also have pedicure chairs for little girls! Great atmosphere and great quality work.

Usually go on Sundays. But this time due to other stuff, I went Saturday. Big mistake. My nails look like Ive been busting rocks because the guy that did them didnt bother to apply cuticle oil or lotion at the end. The lady that did the pedicure acted like she was running late to...i dont know, somewhere else. Hands down the best nail salon I have ever been to! I got a full set stiletto nail with gel and the guy (Danny) really took his time and made sure everything looked perfect! You definitely get what you pay for and my nails have NEVER looked so good!

The only reason giving it two star is bcuz of Angels. She does a wonderful pedicure on my husband! When ever i have gotten my sns, the very next day they would chip. And last when i went to get it fixed. Kim said i am free so not charging else its $5. To all the salons i have been too they dont charge for fixing the nail. And the products which they use it dont even last a day. Probably using cheap quality. They just lost a very loyal customer. I will go thr for our pedicure, but for sns HELL-NO!

PERFECT. I will definitely be going back:) I rarely get my nails done because Im so picky and I get pedicures done even less seldomly because I never feel like they do anything significant to my feet BUT my girl was great. I got this Young tech, she was perfect! I got a gel pedicure and it came out so beautiful. She took her time and really took care of my nails. Im the girl who always sees other girls with their feet done and their color looking so perfect and mine never coming out perfect like that and feeling jealous. Well finally it happened!! For the first time ever my toes came out perfectly. No bubbles, no uneven  color or streaks. Just smooth and perfect color.I will definitely be coming back.

Was a little iffy on coming here because of the reviews, I usually visit their neighbor. But everyone seemed to have a good experience with Mia so I made an appointment with her today. There was a wait even though I made an appointment but... she did a great job on my pedicure and manicure. I did not feel rushed and Im not a very talkative person but she seemed to attempt conversation several times and it was a very pleasant interaction. I will definitely be back to see her. Also they have lots of polish to choose from but I felt overwhelmed because of the amount and it being unorganized. I ended up with French Polish.

I have gone to this place over the past 5 years, because I really haven’t found a better place, but I am finally putting it down due to consistent unprofessional, unkind service. I haven’t felt special there as a customer in a very long time. The management is evil and uncaring. I have had skin ripped off my lip during a wax. I have been cut during a pedicure and treated unkindly by the staff. Today was my last visit.

I go there because they are the best at doing your nails and my brows are always amazing. I do think they should consider treating African Americans customers like the rest. Some of us tip too and are not looking to run out with a bottle of polish.

2/9/19 Horrible job. The lady who did my nails was very aggressive and ended up filing into my skin, which made an open slit. It started bleeding and she put what i think was alcohol. Then she asked me to wash my hands but it burned really bad. I came back and she asked about the tip and when i told her why, she blamed me and said you brushed under nails unproperly, you might have done it. And when i corrected her she just kept acting surprised. Which i at least gave her a $3 tip and paid in total $38. She also didnt apply the acrylics right and tried to glue my cut together with nail glue twice. ( She was wearing a bebe shirt and a lot of makeup. No name tag. )

Its pretty comparable to the other nail places locally, nothing special. The place is huge with tons of chairs and can be hectic and overwhelming....do not come here for a relaxing experience.....We typically can only come during the busy times, unfortunately, and they seem to try and do a good job moving things along and getting people in but the wait can be quite a while. The trade off is, the service is not personal at all and they just want to get you in and out. So, if you want a basic, straightforward pedi, its fine.

Love this place. Price is slightly higher than competitors but the quality and service is worth every penny.

I visited this nail salon on Sunday, November 4th for a pedicure. The technician ran the water and once I submerged my feet, they began to itch, almost to the point of burning. When I told the tech, he said that the bowl is clean and nothing was in it besides water. I looked down and saw the water was not clear so I told him it may be residual from the cleaning solution that is causing the itching. He began talking about me because the other technicians started staring at me. He starts getting super loud stating that the water is not dirty. He continued and actually tried to coerce me into putting my feet in the water. I told him I would not do that. I down graded my pedicure just to shorten the time there and he still went on and on so I down graded further to a polish change. He then said he needed to use the water to complete a polish change which is just silly. He didn’t even do a good job on the polish change but I went to another salon immediatey after this experience anyway. I have been a regular here for years and this experience was so horrible that I will never return.

I stopped in here while traveling to Florida - being from out of town, I was excited to see that it looked like a nice place. After waiting for 20 minutes to be seated, it was another 30 minutes before I was helped (which wasnt a problem, as I wasnt in a hurry and didnt have an appointment). During this time waiting, I was moved seats multiple times, making me feel like I was constantly in the way. When they finally got to me, the lady basically forced me to get dip (I asked for regular polish over acrylic) and promised she had the exact same color. Not only was the color very different (and something I did not like), but it was put on very poorly because she was rushing. This just made things take longer, though, because she then had to fix it (at my request). On top of that, the shape was horrible. She knew it was bad too, but charged me full price anyway. I dont know if it was just her, but I wouldnt recommend this place to anyone. Terrible.

Great place but my favorite people are jimmy and kevin they do a great job I never go back to the same place but I have been going back here love It. And the only reason it’s getting a 3 start is because of my first visit with Mia and the disrespect I got from the manger. So I would never recommend Mia for anyone.

Not sure of my guys name but I know he is the first station to the left of the sign in booth and he did a great job on my nails! He took his time to make sure it was exactly how I wanted them and they came out perfect. Also the lady who did my eyebrows did an awesome job!! Next time I go I will make sure to get their names lol.

If I could give a lower score I would. I came in with a big group of my friends expecting great service and to be treated fairly. But for some reason this place felt that they could take advantage of us. We were completely over charged. I got charged $15 more than my friend who went in there the next day when we got THE EXACT SAME THING. Its ridiculous that you have to have your mother come in to be charged fairly. I didnt even get a reciept. Do NOT go here. The entire time my friend was getting just a regular manicure the woman was pestering her trying to make her get the gel when she obviously didnt want it so we couldnt even enjoy the peacefulness of getting your nails done. My step mother also got a finger fungus from there that she has been dealing with for 3 years now because it wont go away. This place is unprofessional and is run by terrible people. I would never suggest this place to anyone.

Gel polish does not last past a week. I went to get a manicure with gel polish on Friday. My nails chip by Monday and I return to have the two chip nails fixed. Today is Sunday and the gel polish is chipping on five different nails... save your money do not go here..

First time visit. The facility is clean and tidy. My service provider is male. He appears to be preoccupied with his phone . The pedicure was ok. The manicure I requested was poor. He had a discussion with a fellow employee during my manicure that appeared to be tense. Then he was trying to do my nails and text on his phone the rest of my nail time.As a result; my nails are uneven and are not filed smooth around the edges. He was in a hurry to get to his next customer. This will be my first and last visit.

DO NOT GO HERE FOR CHROME NAILS.I’ve been a returning customer here for years now and has always been satisfied with my pedicures, SNS, and Gel manicures. I decided to try their chrome nails, which they charge an extra $15 for and they turned out awful. There were streaks and imprints all over multiple nails and the tech took an hour and a half to complete.I returned the next day to get them fixed and was told that Chrome nails are not going to look the same on each finger and the streaks I was complaining about were normal for the look.This is the worst nail design I’ve ever seen and to be treated like I was crazy and the imperfections in my nails were unnoticeable is unacceptable.

I love this place. It is more expensive than most nail salons, but the work is normally better than most salons. They have an option where you can pay extra for extended massages.

Went there to get my acrylic nails done. I went the first time and they didn’t look that good. So I gave them a second chance and was not pleased with the second set of acrylic nails I got. It’s a very beautiful place but the acrylic nail work is not good.

Disappointing. Only getting 1 because there is no 0! This spa is like a sweat shop. It is always overcrowded and the owner and technicians rush you. It is anything but relaxing. The gel polish doesnt last 1 week. I have had to go back on several occasions to get gel redone and on my last visit the guy scratched the top of my foot with the square scrubbing block they use and now my foot is infected. I will not go back!

Hi the nails look great but I went here with my mother and the service was horrible, way to over priced, and I came out 2 hours later with 6 cut fingers and I mean deep blood cuts the girl who did my nails was very rough but the selection was great and they did great for my mother. They have an amazing kid section for littles and there was a happy party of about 4 year olds in there at the same time.

The lady Mia that did my pedicure was rushing the entire time. She kept looking at her watch for the time and even said that the massage chair was giving her a headache. It was not worth $30.00. She was extremely rough when trying to clean my cuticles to the point I had to tell her that she was causing me pain. I did come an hour before they closed but it still should not negate that Im still a customer. I get off work at 7 and if the business is open until 8 the customer service shouldnt stop until 8. Theres a lot of businesses thatll show you how much they care if you show up before closing. They place showed they have little care. Ill continue to go to the nail shop near my home I only went because the business hours was convenient but I will not return.

Perfect services. Felt relax getting my arms and legs waxed here. The tech waxed all my hair off with ease.
