Just got one of the best haircuts ever from Cynthia. She took her time, paid attention to detail and was great conversation. Barbers are not about location but about the stylist. I highly recommend Cynthia.

Ive had two good haircuts there, but Ive been there at least half a dozen times over an hour before they closed to find they are locked up or not accepting new customers, despite the place being empty. The fact they cant keep their hours is maddening and makes me wish they werent as good so I wouldnt be tempted to go there.

Very upset/disheartened with the experience I just had at D&Vs. There were a multitude of things that were unprofessional and unacceptable, but I guess pictures might do the most justice. Worst haircut of my life. Im actually very disappointed because I loved the place the first time I went and I thought it would be my go-to spot in Hoboken.

Great place to get your hair cut, been there three times and was extremely happy on all occasions. However the last two times I tried to go there, I got there at 7:20 and 7:35, but the doors were locked and the barbers were giving me the no-go sign. I realize you dont want to be the jerk getting there 5 mins before close and expecting to get your service, but if they shut the place down around 7:30, then that should be reflected in the hours of operation. I guess what Im trying to say is that its a great place to get your hair cut, but dont wait until the end of the day to head over.

D and Vs is the best. The shop is the essence of old school cool. This year is their 50th year in business and there is a reason theyve been around so long. The haircuts are cheap but well done. They shave your neck with a straight razor for no extra cost and are happy to trim up your beard for a couple extra bucks. Theo is the man and I dont let anyone else touch my hair.

First off, Ive never seen the same barber more than twice in this joint. How am I supposed to get a consistent freshie when I dont know whos gonna be in there? On top of that, Im never totally satisfied when I leave. Its like trying to sneeze but you can never get it out. 2/5 is generous.

They close at 8 and I just called at 6:50 and they said the doors are closed. This place is constantly unreliable. When customers look up hours of operation, they dont want to know what time your employees can leave work. They want to know what time they are able to walk through the door and get the service you provide. This place doesnt take appointments and doesnt have consistent hours of operation. I really dont have time to guess whether or not Ill have to go out looking homeless because I keep getting turned down by my barbershop. They need to figure this out. Dont recommend at all.

The staff here are awesome, their haircuts are amazing (regardless of if you get a traditional cut or not), and its cheap! Strongly recommend going here for any male haircuts.

I moved around the tri-state the last few years and this shop stands out. Way better hair cut and experience than other places Ive been. I normally ask for Theo, he is great and so are the other barbers I have tried when he is off.

Love this place, but the 4 star comes from a bit of the variability you may experience in terms of wait times and barber. They have a standard crew, but they also have some different stylists fill in occasionally.

Arnel is 100%. Listens to what you want but more importantly knows what you want. Can go in, sit down, shut up for 15 minutes, and come out with a good lookin head of hair.
