Rental reps not responding on weekend with air-conditioning issues. Office rep just made up a story to buy herself time. Please dont rent from this group and try another as they dont seem to really care. I will spend time later this week taking photos of all the issues inside the rental. Stay tuned.Update 1: HVAC service arrived after weekend ended.Update 2: Sent reminder to rental rep that house pool was out of chlorine tabs and was beginning to turn green. Good price, great locations. Just needed to get accommodation information before day of trip and the rental unit needed repairs and up keeping that was written in previous reviews some a year old and never taken care of!!!
Stayed here this past week. For what we paid we’re not pleased. At first sight it looked like a nice place,but we were soon to find out it really wasn’t. For starters,the toilet and sink were both leaking. Tub had cracks in it,which I’m sure was leaking into the room below us. Mold on the ceiling outside the bathroom from the dryer,which we had to restart 4-5 times just to get our clothes dry. Bed was uncomfortable and creaky. And let’s not forget the cockroach we found behind the bathroom door one day! Patio door would barely open,there’s a BluRay player,which would’ve been nice to know didn’t even work BEFORE renting a movie one night. Only reason I gave it 2 stars is because it’s close to the beach,but for $1600,and making the reservation a year and a half ago,I would’ve thought we’d get something better.
After checking out yesterday, my wife noticed we may have left something behind in our room. I just called and spoke to a manager working who refused to reach out to the housekeeping company because she said it was a holiday weekend and will be unable to reach anyone. After questioning her reasoning, she flat out said she wasn’t going to try to help me at all today. I expressed how I felt the customer service sucked and she said she wasn’t customer service. Well to the woman who I spoke to on the phone, you’re in a management position and I am the customer so any help or lack there of is considered service to the customer. Tighten up Hilton head, you’re better than that. Thanks for nothing

This place is okay. They responded fairly quickly. They do not communicate the best. Be prepared for the cleaning crew not to have the room totally ready for you. They need some new staff!
This is just a rental office. We were here to pick up a rental packet. They do have a convenient after hours lock box to pickup rental documents.
The representatives at Wyndham were helpful and responsive. Was disappointed with the 111 Mooring Buoy property for the walls were dirty/in need of paint, the tv surround sound was extremely poor to the point that we couldn’t watch any movies, microwave broke half way through the week and wasn’t repaired, couldn’t close our bathroom door without making significant noise, etc. overall disappointing for spending over $8.6k for the week.
Very nice rooms, good location, grocery store is next door, lots of restaurants, beach 10-15 min walk. Really nice pool but the swim up bar cafe was never open.
We used Wyndham this past August (2016) to stay in Sea Pines. We have been renting in Sea Pines for the past 26 years and in the past weve used another agency. This year though, because of limited availability, we had to branch out. Booking with Wyndham was easy. Paying them - also easy. We arrived a little early and asked if our house was ready and were told yes, go ahead to the property; but when we arrived the cleaning crew had not even been to the house. We were ok with that though as, in fairness, we were there early and wires get crossed some times. So, we left and returned later. Second time back, the cleaning crew was still cleaning. At this point we still were understanding because technically they were closer to the original schedule BUT, it was not until 2.5 hours after they were supposed to be done that they were finally gone. We ended up having to check in 2.5 hours later than our contract had us scheduled to. BUT... what gives them the low rating is; when we finally walked in we discovered the cleaning job had not even been completed. Food from the prior stay were still in the refrigerator, the dishwasher was not emptied, one of the guest room baths had not been touched and even had a razor left in the shower and the Master bedroom comforter was laying on the floor. We called Wyndham and got after hours support who advised they would have someone call us. It was not until Monday that we connected with a person who could actually address our issues. As a result of not getting it resolved immediately, we cleaned the place ourselves and stripped the master bed as well as the other linens and washed them all. Honestly, we just were not sure any had been washed as opposed to just remade to make for less work... and we had to sleep before Monday! When we did finally hear on Monday, the service rep apologized and said they were sorry and suggested the crew was probably just feeling rushed and missed some things unintentionally. So, basically in a roundabout way, she was saying it was on us that the items were not completed as our coming early made the crew feel rushed. We feel 4 1/2 hours really should have been sufficient time for 4 cleaning staff to accomplish the job at this property and we never raised a single issue with the crew as we never met nor spoke to them. We arrived to the house, knew they had not been based on the condition of the house so we left. We returned 2 hours later and saw their truck and 3 of the crew in the drive. We left again and so on. The crew never had any sort of exposure to us. We returned for the last time a total of almost 5 hours from when we first saw the crews truck and they were leaving as we were arriving. We received no sort of accommodation beyond an apology and suggestion their crew felt rushed. Not the best 1st impression by any means. Hope others experience better. On the bright side, the home we rented was lovely once we cleaned it well and was very well appointed for our family of 5. If you get a good cleaning crew and better Customer Service, it could be a nice option.
Just checked in and room has not even been cleaned . Trash still in room, dirty bed with blood on sheets, dirty towels in tub and bathroom just nasty . Never again .
I have been vacationing on HHI for almost two decades and have used most of the Rental companies on the Island. All I can say is that my first experience with Wyndham will be my last. Check in was at 4PM, we arrived at our rental to find it filthy and only one person cleaning a 5K plus square foot home. The fridge did not work, multiple TVs did not work, the pool was filthy, the garage was filthy etc. Calls to Wyndham were met with disregard, we were told it is the busy season!! Yeah, like I wasnt aware of that, isnt that why I paid a PREMIUM price??? Wyndham took my money easily but their customer service (if you can call it that) is non existent. We asked to speak to the manager...........it is now 13 days later and I still have not received that call. We paid over 7K for a filthy mess. By the way I cleaned the garage and a spider infestation on the back door. I also covered up a concrete pillar on the beach path (broken ankle anyone?), cleaned the decks and the pool. Lovely vacation! Thanks for NOTHING Wyndham you absolutely are a horrible rental company! BTW I have read other posts and it seems to be par for the course at Wyndham. The owner must be proud. I guess the high demand on HHI can afford you to supply horrible service and non existent customer service. Never, ever again!

Wyndham was very nice to book with and deal with until the problems started, then they washed their hands of any problems we had saying it had nothing to do with them. Our house almost caught fire and if we didnt turn off the circuit breakers im sure it would have. The house was old and the roof was covered with debris, branches, limbs, moss. The yard was a mess as well. They knew we were coming down for a week and no one bothered to make sure it was clean and ready to go for us! We will not be going through them again. Tvs barely worked, Not sure when it is the home owners responsibility, the agency or the booking company. Because we dealt with the booking company as far as we are concerned they are to be blamed for a below average experience.
An amazing vacation with Wyndham Vacation Rentals Hilton Head Island at 5 Weather Shore in Palmetto Dunes. The rental was great, staff amazing, and the area is a perfect spot for a family vacation.The pool was a perfect size and was very clean. There were pool floats left by the previous renters or owners and was amazing to have and I love that the cleaners and maintenance staff didnt toss them.The house itself was clean, beautifully landscaped, and even better than the pictures show.A couple things we really liked, that was handy, was the discount card and the keyless entry lock on the front door. We made use of the Wyndham privileges card that helped us get discounts at several local places. The keyless lock was helpful with the family so we didnt have to worry about juggling keys when we all went different ways some days.Service is great. Check-in fast and all staff was friendly, knowledgeable, and helpful. Maintenance came on check in day and replaced some bulbs that were out...they were also friendly and fast. We also saw midweek the pool get cleaned while we were heading to the beach.The main living room television was great. It was a large flat screen Samsung TV. Streaming content to the TV to show pictures and videos during the trip was very easy. Streaming Netflix and other services was great. Even the television service was streaming which we thought was great.Wi-Fi extenders in the house was a big plus for this connected family.The Bose sound system with Bluetooth that had many speakers throughout the house was also great. There were volume controls for each room or section of the house on the wall which we really loved.Overall, if we could workout getting the family together more often wed definitely do this more often.
Good enough that my husband and myself bought into the Wyndham resorts.
There was an issue with booking and they fixed it. Happy customer.
