Can’t recommend Bulldog Fishing Charters more!! We had the absolute best experience fishing with these guys. We ended up catching 7 sharks and a catfish on our 3 hour trip and had a blast! The crew was super knowledgeable, laid back, fun, and hilarious! They made sure we had a great time and felt welcome from the minute we stepped onto their boat. 10/10 experience…if you’re coming to Hilton Head Island, do yourself a favor and book a charter with these guys!

Had a great time with Bulldog Fishing Charters. We took our son out for his 7th birthday on the afternoon shark fishing tour. The crew worked hard despite some rough conditions that morning to put us in 2 great spots. Our son got a huge kick out of catching a bonnethead that Hudsons on the Docks cooked for us that evening. All in all we pulled in 7 sharks. Im sure if the conditions were better on the water we could have pulled in more but we really appreciated the crew going out of their way for us. We would ... and will defiantly repeat.

These guys know where the fish are. Wanted to specifically target Cobia and that is what I got. I caught more fish than I could handle. I got tired of catching lol. Captain Christiaan and First Mate Boyce are awesome. Great day on the water! If you are here they are the ones to go with. If your not here go out of your way to get on the water with them.

Booked a 3 hour experience with Bulldog Charters and loved every minute of it. From the minute we walked down the dock to when we exited the boat, they were nothing but professional. We had 3 adults and 2 kids (11 and 7) on the trip. Captain Christian and First Mate Boyce were absolutely amazing. They handled everything and communicated with us every step of the way. You knew from the minute we left the dock it was going to be a memorable experience. The kids immediately were at their sides and wanted to be part of the action. We fished a couple different areas and Captain Christian and FM Boyce kept us informed of what we were doing and why. We caught 5 different species of fish including 5 sharks, which was awesome!! I highly recommend this charter and am already looking forward to fishing with them again.

These guys are awesome. We had 2 adults and 4 kids (7-10 years old) and we loved every minute of the trip. They were fantastic with the kids. We went last summer and the kids still talk about it. We are heading out with them again next week! I have done a couple dozen fishing charters and Bulldog is at the top.

Captain Stratton and First Mate Nathan were the best crew anyone could ask for. We had a 4 hour tour with them and they put our group on the fish, gave great info about the area we fished in and were amazing teachers to a group of newbies. The enthusiasm about fishing and infectious and had us hungry for more fishing!

We went shark fishing with Capt. Stratton and his Mate Nathan yesterday and had a phenomenal experience. These two are fun and laid back but also possess a wealth of knowledge. Just completed an offshore fishing charter with Captain Stratton and his assistant and I must say that the experience was fantastic. My two sons and I enjoyed a beautiful morning catching sea bass, blue fish, sheep’s head and shark which we had prepared at the Hudson’s restaurant for lunch.Definitely will be back. I can highly recommend Bulldog Fishing Charters.

A fantastic afternoon with Capt Sutton and mate Gaston, great trip with plenty of fish, Spanish mackerel, blues, Jacks and black tip sharks, we got plenty of fish the capt. filet that we had Hudson cook for us as soon as we got off the boat. The crew is extremely knowledgeable of the area and put us on the fish on a calm perfect day. I highly recommend the Bulldog and the crew. I have fished all over the world and I will definitely be back on the Bulldog. They were great with my wife and daughter you rarely fish. They totally enjoyed the charter and cant wait to do it again . And seeing the dolphin at the dock after the trip made a perfect ending to a great charter.Thanks for a great trip

We went out with my family. Consisted of 7yo boy 4yo girl and 3 adults. It was a great trip. They were very attentive and made the kids feel at ease. The staff seemed generally warm and friendly. We hope to do this again next time.

I have been fishing on the Bulldog with Captain Christiaan Pollitzer many times over the years. He has always put us on the fish, the pictures speak for themselves! The wide variety of species we have caught is absolutely amazing... Snapper, Grouper, Triggers, Grunts, Sea Bass, Vermilion, Kings Mackerel, Spanish Mackerel, Cobia, and many more. If you are looking for a fun day on the water catching tons of fish and are anywhere near Hilton Head Island this is the charter for you. Always the best days of the year! You dont know, if you dont go!!!

Went fishing yesterday with Captain Christian amd his son Stratton. Took my kids, nephews and brother in law. We caught 20 to 25 fish. Blue fish, ladyfish and some yellow Jacks. Incredible time on the water. The 4 hour trip was perfect with the kids. I would highly recommend Bulldog Fishing Charters and will use these guys again.....

Went out Saturday for a 6 hour charter, I have been on many charters before this. Captain Christians expertise shined through in all parts of the experience. We had 5 of us on this Charter and everyone caught fish! We caught grouper, Spanish Mackerel, blue fish, and shark. Truly a five star experience!

I was lucky enough to have Christian as our captain! We had an amazing time! I was on a work trip and he hosted us incredibly. So much so I caught a 35lb fish! I would definitely recommend going on a trip with him!

Captain Christian know his numbers like a champion. We were slinging fish across the deck all day. I’ve been on dozens of deep sea bottom-fishing trips and this one was top notch. A good time was had by all. Looking forward to fishing on the Bulldog in the years to come!!!

Bait and SwitchWe had a great day of fishing due to the hard work of Captain Campbell, however, the owner, Captain Christian, and his wife did not book the size boat as promised nor did they supply a mate as promised.The boat they promised had an cabin with a bathroom, The boat, as I just mentioned, was also supposed to come with a first mate. When I arrived at the dock, I had neither. To make matters worse, it was only $5/hour cheaper and there was a big sign on the boat that said a 20% gratuity is traditional (i.e. expected).I have charted numerous boats and I have never tipped a boat without a mate. Ive charted in Maryland, Florida and Mexico just to give you an idea of my experience.When I called to complain about the trip after we docked, the owner said that: a) I was well aware that I booked a different boat and b) If I was not happy, I should not have gotten on the boat. (a) is just untrue period and (b) I was there at 8:00AM with my teenage son, two young daughters and two nephews, so I obviously was not turning around.When my young daughter had to use the bathroom, Captain Campbell pulled out a 5 gallon bucket with a toilet seat on it! I thought that was funny actually and my daughter did not mind, but just a fair warning.Again, a great day of fishing due to the efforts of Captain Campbell. If you do book, make sure you are well aware of what you are getting.2018 Edit: The owner of this charter continues to edit his response and even though this trip was two years ago, I feel it necessary to clarify. I am neither trying to hurt his business nor discourage anyone from using his charter. I simply want the public to understand my experience and learn from it. Which is this: If you are told you will be on a specific boat, make sure you get that boat. If you are told you will have a first mate, make sure you have a first mate. As I said, we had a great day of fishing. My review is 100% accurate. Regarding the owners response about the extra hour of fishing, the Captain was fishing himself and wanted to fish longer, so I would not say this was a freebie as the owner is implying. Additionally, I was promised a 1st mate and did not receive one, meaning the captain had to both steer the boat, put us on fish, assist with boating the fish for 6 people, etc. This is an almost impossible job for one person and we lost fish. It is also totally ridiculous to pay the same rate for a boat, with or without a 1st mate and also pay the additional 20% gratuity. Who would do that? So again, make sure you receive what is promised and be prepared to walk away. Again, a great day of fishing I just wish the owner was more honest upfront, or if a mistake was made, somewhat apologetic. Instead, he chooses to be combative.

Horrible experience! Got screwed over when we got there for our booked time they had double booked us. They did not care in any way, did not even offer a discount. Rebooked us for two days later on a rainy and cold day. It was a miserable experience. I would never use this charter.

This Winter I took my family of 5 fishing on the Bulldog. Captain Chris and first mate John showed us a great time! They have a first class operation with a wonderful boat that has lots of shade and even a nice restroom for the women and children. We caught lots of reddrummers that are a blast to catch along with a southern kingfish that was the highlight of the trip, we even took pictures with it for our Christmas card! The captain then cleaned them and we took them up to Hudsons Restaurant for lunch. Bulldog Charters is definitely the reason we will be returning to Hilton Head as soon as possible!

My husband and I went out with Christaan and friends a couple weeks ago. Seeing how this was my first offshore fishing charter, I wasnt sure what to expect. Boy, oh boy, was I blown away! Not only did Christaan put us right on the fish, he made sure we got them into the boat and home for dinner. His knowledge and expertise on what we were catching was impressive, but I suppose you are going to have that with 32 years on the water. I would not hesitate to book a trip with him and his son; in fact, I am in the process of booking our next trip this fall! Happy catching yall! Because with Christaan, thats exactly what youll be doing!
