One of my favorite spots on vacation

Myself and my wife took our two girls on the trip in August 2019. Captain Tanner and his team were superb and our girls had an amazing time. It’s so nice to see people like Shannon taking such pride in making life long memories for young people. Keep up the good work! We will most certainly join a trip when we visit Hilton Head again.

What great fun Shannon is. He engages the whole crowd. He has the kids going, the adults going. Everybody is having a good time. I really like how he makes the kids feel special on stage with him. Seeing them sing and dance with him is a real hoot! Go check him out.

Shannon Tanner is the best!! We have done this pirate cruise twice and the second time was just as entertaining. Captain Tanner is “all in” to this adventure and it’s obvious he enjoys it as well. Genuine joy! Thanks for the Maui necklace—you made a little boy’s day!!!

Shannon Tanner is a treasure. My wife and I have enjoyed his Parrot Polooza show for 6 years and were finally able to bring our family out from California. Watching the grandsons help waylay Slimy Slim was worth the trip and the wait. We think theyll be back every year!

This cruise is such a fun family activity. Captain Tanner and his crew are friendly and funny and very entertaining. If you have kids this is a must-do activity for a HHI vacation. We will be back next year to check out one of his shows too.

Wife digs it, attended shows as a kid. Daughters had fun. Strikes me as weird/campy. Update: You got a solid attitude ShanTan. Well be back next year without a doubt.

Dude knows his crowd. Families with little kids. He plays accordingly. In return, hes been playing this gig for a long time so he must be doing something right. Parents can red cup it, kids all jump around and have fun, meet other kids... best part, its free.For balance (if you think you need it), go see a RHCPs show when you go home. Usually helps me.

Normally Shannons show is really good, but last week it must have been because it was the end of the season, his show seemed forced, and his heart wasnt really in it.

We had a great time. Captain Tanner is the BEST pirate. Our granddaughter had a wonderful time.

Been watching from a distance for a couple years, finally our grandchildren with us and we joined Capt Tanner. All the kids are having fun, Capt Tanner and crew keep their attention. Our grandchildren says it was the best thing on their trip to Hilton Head. The Pirate Expedition is also very entertaining to the adults.

Great for kids 9 and under. Super campy but tons of fun for kids.

We took our then 2yr old on Captain Tanners adventure 4 years ago. We thought it was absolutely awesome as did our son.Just today we went on a pirate cruise in florida...where isnt important.The cruise today was $3 more per person, but the boat looked more like a pirate ship, it was 30min longer, and drinks were free including jug wine and bud.Captain Tanners adventure offered a much more engaging captain and crew, cloth pirate head cover my son still wears (todays pirate hat was a black version of what they gave out at long john silvers), an actual water cannon battle with a pirate in another boat (not some guy standing on deck with a monotone voice saying aarrgh and letting the kids shoot him with pirate squirt guns), and probably the best of all....real souvenirs like an autographed pirate dagger...the head cover...and real treasure like gold coins and jewels that my son still has...today he got a gold coin and a string of beads like youd get from new orleans.Overall we all had fun today. But today was nothing even close to the fun we all had with Captain Tanner.I didnt like our stay at hilton head for a number of reasons. But Captain Tanner made it all worth while.Dont miss this adventure...believe the reviews. Its awesome and id rate it a 10 out of 5 if i could.
