White tips are smudged, Did not remove all of the previous gel color I can still see it underneath. Very disappointed. A waste of $45.

If I could give this place a 0 I would. I came here for the first time to get a refill because the original place I go to was closed. The man that did them was awful he was too fast and didn’t take his time the powder was very blotchy and my nails were different shapes and not even he burned me a couple times with the drill. He told me the total was $50 I was so upset how they turned out I went ahead and paid but the more I thought about it I went back in and ask the lady to fix them or give me a refund. She was very kind to fix them for me. I would not recommend going here. Waste of money and time.

I had my daughters nails done there a few times. She has never expressed dissapointment. We still keep going there. Staff does a very good job there.

Went there to go get me and my boyfriends nails done, I wanted an overlay, he got a manicure. The place was not busy at all but yet there was multiple employees standing around and I said there was two of us, implying we would be getting our nails done at the exact same time because we had to he somewhere eariler that day. I wanted 40 minutes and watched my BFs nails get done and multiple employees passed me and stared at me without ever sitting down at my table. Afterwards the lady that did my BFs nails asked if I wanted mine done, and I said no thank you because I was already fed up with being looked at as if I shouldnt be there, and she looked at me with a confused face on why I said no, which was because I waited so long. I know it wasnt her fault and she had good intentions, but its definitely not what it used to be. Definitely wont be back.

I wouldn’t recommend this nail salon for gel manicure or any acrylic sets. My mother went here with my sister & they did a horrible job on their “gel” manicure & acrylic set. My mom supposedly got a gel manicure and it has barley been a week and they’re already chipping. Her set wasn’t even gel polish & they still wanted a tip? Super ridiculous to even have to ask for one. A tip for someone who did a satisfying job not a terrible job. They only set that came out good was their pedicures.

Had my granddaughters and my own nails done here exactly 7 days ago, 95$ later she already had to have 2 nails fixed and today my acrylic and tip came off went in to have repaired and the gentleman asked for me to come back in 30 mins when I did he said they were too busy to do it. They rush through and do a very poor quality job. Total waste of time and money.

Yanet is professional, experienced and does a quality job. Wont go anywhere else unless she goes, shes that good. Im a diabetic and have had no problems what so ever. Instruments are clean and sterile.

Pedicure was ok. She couldve done a better job buffing my feet to remove the dry skin and painting my nails.

If you want good manicure dont go there!Very unsanitized! Poor job done!Im so unhappy, and I told the lady she didnt do her job right. She said nothing .

I had Dipping to be taken off...took an appointment for Mani with dipping! I was quoted $45 and am new to the area. Tee, the technician did not soak to take the dipping off. He just filed the paint off...when requested for cuticles, he said thats additional...another $15. For $60, he soaked my hands for 30 secs, filed my nails, fuscia dipping over blue dipping. Horribly thick! I even gave $15 tip thinking this is normal...I have not gone back to the poor service and overpriced California Nails. Disappointed

I have been going to California nails salon ( my daughter and I )for almost a year and I always see Lynn, she does wonderful job, very gentle, fast and efficient. Definitely will recommend her! 💅

I don’t leave reviews often but I always have a great experience here and feel like they always work hard. Clean and organized and good attention to detail, a little fast on the pedicure but did a good job on a complex design :)

Very Busy Salon. I went with Friends but had Nothing done. Some clients happy some Walk- ins were not.I think Many People do not Understand that if you need a Manicure like ASAP that it cannot be Done in a Salon that is filled with Clients that booked their spots 1 month Prior.Call in & reserve is the BEST way!!Its a Beautiful Shop well lit up in The Valley Mall.

I took my daughter and they rushed the service and didn’t listen to what we requested. Also was told after the pedi I would have to get cash from the atm in the back closet no fee. They did charge a fee! The man also stepped on my toes while getting my nails done. Required me to have to sit in a very uncomfortable position for him to fix while the girl did my nails.

I wish I could give this a 0 but I went there not even a week ago and on the second day all my nails started coming up and when I was signing the receipt I put a number in the wrong place and he called me stupid and told me I needed to learn how to write better and just kept calling me names there very rude and I would not recommend going here!!!

While i was there a young lady came in said she needed her nail fixed they told her they were to busy to fix it. I came to get my dip powder redone and had a horrible experience. The lady kept burning my nails continuously with the drill after I told her it hurt. Then she proceeded to take my dip powder nail off with an acrylic nail which hurt a lot. Mind you I had came two weeks ago to get a fresh dip powder set so there was no need to take them off. At that point she asked if I wanted a gel manicure because my nails were too short. Long story short, I had to pay 10 dollars to have my “nails” removed and now my nails are throbbing. Will never be back here.

If I could give a 0 I would!!!!Took my daughters out for a special day to get our nails done. We told them exactly what we wanted, more than once. They did what THEY wanted to do, was not able to communicate with us, we spent the entire time confused on what they were doing, switched form chair to chair with no explanation. They continued to communicate with each other in their own language and didn’t listen when we tried asking for something done. I feel it is rude to spend the entire time talking with each other and not reacting with the person sitting right in front of you. Spent $165 for us and I left with something I didn’t want. Fortunately my daughters liked their nails, but I wasn’t pleased. If you’re going to run a nail salon, you should be able to communicate with your customers. Will never go back!!! And you shouldn’t go and waste your money and time!!!

California nails salon last week for a pedicure and shellac manicure. Terrific experience! Very friendly, experienced staff. The salon has a very relaxing atmosphere. Would highly recommend!

I could see through the paint on 8 out of 10 toes & the 2 that were somewhat better were crooked & the thick mess was not painted all the way to the sides, near my toe or end of the nail. No patience & no explanation from them.

I absolutely love the service and the people here. Always welcoming with smiling faces. Very accommodating and always goes above and beyond with doing mine and my stepdaughters nails. Highly recommend them.

My daughter went on Friday after school as a walk-in and only had to wait 10 minutes. You could tell they were super busy with prom around the corner, but still got the job done. The Pham family is very welcoming and took their time on her nails for such an important event. Thank you California Nails, she will definitely be back soon!

I wish i could rate it a 0. Took me and my friend here to get a pedicure and gel acrylics, however, after the HORRIBLE pedicure, we decided to not even waste the money on the gel. Quickest pedicure ever. We felt very rushed and they didn’t even get my whole toenail. Not to mention they barely even scrubbed any of the dry rough skin off my feet. They’re more expensive than most other nail places in Harrisonburg. WOULD NOT RECOMMEND GOING HERE. SAVE YOUR MONEY OR GO SOMEWHERE ELSE.

Was coming here two times. For a regular manicure and a pedicure, and for a gel manicure. The first time I did not like how the manicure was done- a woman rushed, did poor foiling for my nails and the color was not spread equal, in addition for it being under my nails with some stuff from foiling, while a pedicure done by other professional was fantastic! When I came for the second time- my nails were done by someone else. She paid attention to every nail when doing manicure. I loved it! Your experience depends on who is doing nails for you.

I made an appointment for 1:30, but was not seen until 2:07. Three different people did my nails. I got a fill-in and a cut down, which cost $21. Most places charge $18. It is also less than a week, and I repeat, less than a week since my fill in, and two of my nails are already breaking. I have been getting my nails done for years and wanted to try a new salon that I had heard great things about. Ultimately, I was very disappointed and unsatisfied. I need to have my two nails repaired and Id like to go there and have them repair them for free, but I dont even trust them to do that.

Totally overpriced pedicure. Im used to paying $20 for thorough sloughing of dry skin, deep massage, cuticle trimming and hang nail elimination, and nail shaping and polishing. What I got here barely amounted to a polish change. The only thing they had going for them was they were open late.

Very unsatisfied! I had my nails done here and within a week I noticed little black dots on some of my nails. I went back in to have them fixed and was told they couldnt do anything it was because the polish was on for a week. I went to another nail place and asked their opinion and they said something was wrong with the polish/ overcoat. I went back again and the manager said he would fix them. Within an hour i noticed some bubbles on a few nails but by morning they looked horrible. ALL my nails had black bubbles all over them!! Went to talk to manager to have redone or removed with refund and he said he couldnt do either it was because of the polish I got it was coming off from doing dishes etc. My daughter gets hers done often with same polish and it lasts for at least a month and she works in a fast food restaurant. I will never come back here!

I went here to get my nails done for my birthday and a few times before. Service is mediocre and they skipped my daughter’s pedicure to take care of other adults that walked in after her. However, my last experience here was the worst. INFECTION !!!!!!I caught an infection on my left ring finger after having my nails done for my birthday 04/2019. It is super painful, swollen and painful to the touch. Not to mention very rude, unable to communicate with customers and speak in their language, which at times, I feel as if they’re gossiping about the clients that pay their bills.

Lengthy, lengthy wait time. Dont get me wrong, they are nice as can be, but I believe they over book themselves and really dont know how to turn away/tell people to come back later.

The salon was dirty. The nail station was dirty and the same paper (not even a towel) was used for each customer. The nail tech was not professional at all and was rough with my nails.I wont be going back again.

Shout out to California Nails in Harrisonburg VA for not only making fun of the scars on my arms, but humiliating me infront of other people. For sliding a credit card across your arms and laughing. How dare you. You dont know what some people go through.Do you know what your actions can lead to? Im definitely leaving a complaint, and I am never going back to that place again. It isnt the first time they have made fun of people either. Had my boyfriend not seen what they did and said behind my back with the credit card, I wouldnt have known they had the audacity to do that. Oh and the young nail tech threw my hands around and really rushed the whole process.Ill be spending my money elsewhere for not only quality nails, but human decency.
