Staff is immensely rude to customers, the amount of snippy comments and attitude was astounding. An experience that was supposed to be relaxing turned into one that left me and others feeling immensely uncomfortable, judged, and stressed. Discomfort was evident in most present. Staff uses the same file and buffer and does not sanitize or treat their equipment. Will not be returning at all.

My nails are unevenly painted and filed crooked and the acrylic is sloppy around my nail beds/cuticles. I got these done last night at 630 and it looks like I got them done 2 weeks ago. (I had a hard time taking pictures because my camera wouldnt focus.)I didnt get a good look at them until I was at home and saw how sloppy they looked and my middle finger nails actually look like /. I do not recommend.

The staff seems polite, but after not even a week my nails are broken and chipped. And I definitely did not get what I asked for, and they didn’t even ask what size I wanted, instead made it as long as my nails were grown out.

I love coming here, they are always so friendly! Their work is amazing, and they really take their time to get everything just right. I would highly reccomend this place!

I want to thank Kim for doing my nails,She did a great JOB! You do have to make sure they UNDERSTAND WHAT U REALLY WANT DONE BECAUSE OF A LANGUAGE DIFFERENCE .You can always do a color test on one nail if you are not sure you will like it. Ive been going here for the last 5 years .

This was not a great experience. This place did not represent professionalism at all. My friend and I went in for gel acrylics and did not leave with something we liked. My friend asked for a VERY simple design, a design most nail artists should be able to do and she said absolutely no. She then proceeded to pick out a nude color for my friend and picked a baby pink. She seemed distracted half the time and this made the whole process take even longer. Furthermore, the manners in the salon were barely short of just being straight rude. When a young girl walked into the place asking to fix ONE NAIL, the main lady working rudely said no without much explanation or offering another time. If this is how customers are treated we will not be going back for our fill ins, but rather a different place. For paying 70 dollars for a set of nails...we expected a lot more and better service....I am disappointed.

The wife and half of the staff are very rude and pretends not to understand English, especially when they’re not giving out good quality service. Debbie, and the owner himself, and the younger lady are Awesome! They rest of them always have their nose turned up at other like they’re better then everyone else and they don’t know anything but pedicures !!! Price are subject to change daily they quote one thing on phone but by the time they are finished it’s a totally different price.

I moved to Harrisonburg last September and I’ve been trying to find a good nail salon ever since. I finally decided to give this salon a chance. I was NOT disappointed!! Tracy did an outstanding job on my pedicure and my nails look FABULOUS!! I think I’ve found my regular salon/tech! Everyone there had great customer service!! See you soon!!

The lady was very rude to my dear sister who came from Germany for our niece wedding.It was very hard to communicate with her, all she cared for is if Im aware that extra service would cost us money, even when I told her that its not a problem for me, it is a gift from me to my sister...😢😢😢not gentle at all, it was embarrassing to be there, all I wanted just take my sister to a different place. So so sad and frustrating😢😢😢Seems like they are not enjoying their job:(((Wont be able to make myself to come back☹️

Asked to have the powered nails done. They kept trying to get me to do gel. And when I asked them to do the powered like you would with Krylic. They dipped my nails instead of what I asked them to do now I have to pay someone else to fix my nails never again will I go back.

Was very disappointed in the work the guy who did my nails. He just didnt seem to care and messed up a few of them. Wont go back there again. To him anyways. I cant say about the other people who work there.

They charged me $8 to cut my toenail in a polish change. I have never heard of someone charging to cut toenails. I felt it was a rip off. Overall way too much money for a polish change and manicure.

I went there for a girls night with my mom when it was her birthday and I had requested a full set and she had the spa pedicure. Hers was very good and the women was very nice, but mine was so-so, she did a good job (the only white woman there I dont know her name) shape wise and painting wise, but she picked up her phone and was on a video call with some family member talking very loudly while she was in the middle of laying my acrylic, and continued for a good 15-20 mins, which she did a good job, but was very unprofessional in my opinion, wouldnt personally go back. She also said how she hates when customers get the coffin shapes because in her opinion theyre ugly. Wouldnt personally go back for a manicure, but maybe some pedicure services.

I came in around 6:15 and the staff were very nice. All wore masks and cleaned thoroughly. Hiesun took great care of me and was very nice about my mani and pedi ending around 7:45 when they close between 7:30-8. Great French nails! Highly recommended.

If I could leave a 0 I would! Very rude staff did an awful job on my nails,nails had some black dots, all of it is coming off and it hasnt even been a day yet! Paid $43 and I could do a better job myself! DO NOT GO HERE! My nails HURT so much after their work! Very unprofessional, they do not do any sanitizing (its very important right now because of Covid-19!!) Do not clean after you at all so you reuse after the person infront of you! when I called and asked for a refund they said they dont do any and they can try to fix it, but honestly I do not want them to touch my nails again because whatever they have done already hurt so much! I wish I had read other comments before coming here! Do yourself a favor save some money and go to blossom spy instead!

There is mainly nice people and very nice nail services. I have never got hurt/cut. They are my go to nail place and I totally recommend this place. I am very exited to go back to get my eyebrows, feet, and nails done!

I went to get my nails done for the First time a week ago, and the lady who did my nails was so rude. She literally said aloud for the whole store to hear that I need to put more Lotion on because my nails were dry right after she told me to wash my hands.I would highly recommend Modern Nail Spa! Much better quality for your money and their service is phenomenal! They used better equipment and they thoroughly did their service to a T. They cleaned up whatever I had done here last week perfectly!!! They did not pressure me to get a pedicure and they have a 10% discount for everyone right now! I went in for a gel manicure prior to a wedding I was attending. I didn’t see anyone sanitize anything the entire hour I was there and I believe the tools were being reused as well. The tech made my nails way too thin. Within hours, two of my nails had cracked along the sides and my pinky nail cracked down the middle. I’m glad I’m not from the area because I definitely would not go back to this salon.

I have been going to Tracy at Lovely Nails for 5+ years and was a customer for many years before that at their old location. Their service has been great! I always call and make an appointment and they are very accommodating. I would recommend them to anyone.

The people were very nice, it’s a clean an organized establishment. The prices are pretty good as well, there is sometimes a slight language misunderstanding but they work very hard to help you with anything you need. Def my favorite nail place

Even after moving out of the immediate area, I will drive here when I need my nails done professionally (about 4-8 times a year). I am always happy with the quality of the manicures/pedicures, the salon itself is kept clean, and the pricing is less than competitors. I appreciate that they still operate at those same standards set soon after the salon opened. Their techs are knowledgeable(powder-dipping!), friendly, respectful, and have never pushed any service I havent requested. The best part is the little autoclave they use to sterilize the tools between customers (& they open the autoclave pouches in front of you). Kudos to the owners for being hygeine-minded and providing that extra peace of mind.

Had my nails dipped. Even with scheduled appointment had to wait 30min extra. Then nails were not filed properly and the dipped color extended too far on some, shaped funny on multiple nails. Top (gel) coat didnt cover all of the powdered layers, the whole nail bed. I should have addressed this better at the time but they were busy and distracted and a lot of this didnt become obvious right away. Did not soak my hands or do my cuticles or any additional massage or anything. For $40 that seemed a bit disappointing. Especially as I dont think I will get even 2 weeks wear out of them, between the poor filing on the ends of my nails and cuticle status. Dipping powder is not as commonly done in this area but feel the experience should have gone better--has in other places when I have easily had 2-3 weeks wear out of dipped nails.

Went here today with my mom and didn’t really have that great of an experience. Read the reviews and it seemed like a good place. The lady my mom had was not friendly whatsoever. My mom was trying to make small talk and the lady ignored her and didn’t even glance up. But then would glance over at me in a weird concerned manner. That alone was putting me off. The pedicure itself was fine nothing too bad there, just felt a bit rushed and again the people weren’t that friendly. As were getting ready to walk over to the area where we let our nails dry my mom is thanking the lady and she is still rude just directing us where to go sit. Then as we are getting up to leave and pay the other lady that did my nails wants to spray that fast dry stuff on. My mom does not like it and says “I don’t want this please” and then she proceeds to spray anyway. This makes me mad and I pay and we leave as soon as possible. Now maybe there was a language barrier but I think she just didn’t want to listen and did what she wanted anyways. Anyway you look at it, just rude. I’m giving this a two star rating because I am happy with the outcome of the pedicures and my feet. Everything else I could do without. I work in the customer service industry and have for years. Business like this bothers me, but maybe others will get someone else or have a better experience.

A few complaints... not even 7 hours after I got my acrylics done the paint is chipping... they rushed me out the door at 7:30 even though they didnt close for another half hour so the male tech didnt even take his time... next the white older female techs whole family came in WHILE SHE WAS DOING A CLIENTS NAILS.. and was so loud I couldnt even hear my tech asking questions... she was on her phone and was so unprofessional I was so happy I didnt get stuck with her... then her client left before they were done because she was so rude... honestly the woman was wearing dirty ripped jeans and a giant Maggie hoodie... I thought she was a client cause she looked so ragged I thought there was NOWAY she worked there. But I was wrong. Honestly, if I didnt already leave town Id go demand my money back. DO NOT GO HERE!

Rude service, ladies that did me an my daughters nails didnt hold any conversation with either one of us. My daughter complained of pain during lady didnt seem to care.. rushed threw our pedicures was maybe there 30 mins. Nail polish looks terrible will not ever be going back.

I absolutely love this place!! Its the only shop I trust to do my acrylics since I am so picky. Their prices are great and they have a student discount if you show a valid student ID.

Nails were very thick, had dust in them which made the polish look bumpy, and got charged an extra 5$ for the “shape of the nail” which is not written on the sign for prices. One of the nails is also lopsided. My friend got hers done as well and they’re done at a 45° angle, also bumpy. They didn’t even cover the sides with the polish. Horrible.Edit: yes i did leave a 4$ tip since I felt pressured as the man who did my nails was watching me fill out my receipt and always like to leave tips. I didn’t get to really take a good look at the nails until after I left as I was quickly rushed to the drying table after having them finished, so I payed more attention to the length and color, which I do like and what I was referring to.

Nails way too thin, was cut in 3 different places, and definitely didn’t het this type of polish i wanted. too much $ for what i actually got. idk the name of the woman that did my nails, but she was white and had blonde hair.

Bruh this place is trash my girl hates the way her nails look and they can’t fix them the sign on the wall says 27 for a gel manicure and this lady told us it’s gonna cost 45 dollars if you change the prices change the sign. We’ve been here for almost an hour and a half and they still doing her nails I’m never coming back here ever again. It’s the absolute worst.

Very unhappy if I could give 0 stars I would. I went in for gel acrylic nails which are supposed to last atleast 3 weeks at the most. After a week they look disgusting & one has already fallen off. The paint has black specs in it and bubbles. Also they don’t use a new buffer or file for every client. I went in for a refund and the manager just said no refund because it’s labor not merchandise & I went I told him it’s illegal to use the same tools on people he smiled and said ok go file a report then.. he was very rude and started yelling. The nail techs were all talking in their language and none of them would refund me. DO NOT GO HERE. Spare yourself the trouble & don’t get white paint lol.

I asked the lady if she could make my nails more narrow and she literally handed me the file and told me “you do it then since you know what you want” ...... that has literally never happened to me before in my life. Rudeeeee staff lmaooo I would not recommend. They made every customer in there uncomfortable with the way they treated not only me, but the other ones too.

Kim & Peter have been doing my nails since 2016, they are amazing, caring, patient, respectful and kind. They take their time when they do either a pedi or a mani. Very clean and organized nail shop. The other nail technicians are very nice as well. They as well take their time with clients and not rush right through. Very satisfied every time I go in for either my mani or pedi. 😊

I always do gel polish on my nails because I work sales and it lasts 3 weeks. Every time I go to lovely nails, it only lasts 8 days. Conveniently they only warranty it for 7. The first time I chalked it up to a bad bottle of polish. Didnt make them redo it, but went back in at 13 days for them to redo and mentioned I thought that color may bad bc it didnt last. I was PAYING for it and even said Im not trying to get these redone for free but thought they should know. The owners wife, I think she was, got rude with me and the only American girl who worked there started talking down to me about the cleaning products I use at home being the reason and I just might not be able to do gel polish. . . This has happened 4 times there. But anywhere else i go, it lasts 3-4 weeks. So its definitely not me.The owner is the only friendly person in there, but they are constantly talking in Vietnamese and the younger girl facetimes on her phone the whole time shes doing your nails.I was given a $100 gift certificate and am considering letting it go to waste bc its been a non relaxing experience the past five times Ive been there.

I am a very picky person and I usually do my nails my self. When I asked to do my nails thinner, she didnt do it! Than they were yapping all the time in Vietnamese, couple times about me because I complained about the shape of my nails and they all were looking at me at that time. My nails end up to be crooked and thick. I have a feeling that I will go home and take them off. I am very disappointed with the service. I would never recommend this place to anyone, ever.
