Not surprised this company isnt in business anymore. Sent guys that had no idea what they were doing so I sent them away. Were in the wrong room of our basement and in pajama pants. They stopped answering calls. Reported them to the Attorney General. Be careful as I heard the owner just renamed the company. Scammers.
We have been dealing with this company since June of 2017. They put 3 sump pumps in our basement since we’ve been with this company they have been out to fix water leaking issues 12 times. Their workers have no clue why water keeps getting in and said they do not know what to do anymore about it. We requested for Jim to come out a second time to look at the issues but he’s been ignoring us. We call when there’s a leak/flood and a week later nobody has returned our call. We are paying thousands of dollars to this companies bank for a lifetime guaranteed never to leak again basement that seems to leak all the time. Oh course they don’t wanna fix it right now because they got their money already and we are paying their bank they hooked us up with. This company does not hold up to their end of the job. They come out and slap some new seal over top of the old seal and then say, “it’s fixed”. As of today our basement is leaking again In 3 out of the 4 room in our basement and we are getting the round about on the phone if they don’t know when they can come out next. Worst waterproofing company ever! Very unprofessional staff and management.
PA Basement Waterproofing did an excellent job on my basement. Since 2011 I have been getting water in the basement but only when it rained heavily. With all the rain in 2018 this past year I couldnt keep the basement dry. They came and they worked until the job was done. There had to come back a couple times but their crew was knowledgeable and got the job done. So far no water in the basement, but I know if there would be they would come back to do it right. They are professional and care about the job that they do. I am very happy with the results and would recommend them to anyone!
Very pleased, so far, with the great personal service from this company. David, the man that wrote up my contract, was extremely kind to me and worked with me on a reasonable price. The team that worked on my basement waterproofing was very polite and worked with a lot of integrity. It ended up being a two-day job as my house was built in 1936 and the basement can be complicated but they did a great job and with the warranty I am sure I will not have any problems. The owner of the company stopped by to visit the team of six guys to make sure the project was moving along as planned. Thank you.
Id like to comment on this companies work but we couldnt even get them to show up for an inspection appointment that was scheduled several days in advance. After confirming the time with the main office on the day of inspection we waited for the inspectors arrival at the designated time. The inspector never showed but did call 10 minutes after he was due to say he was about an hour away?!? We understand things can happen throughout the course of the day to push things back, but at some logical point you need to realize this and call your next appointments AHEAD of time to say you are running behind. Not after you are due and then inform the client you are an hour away. Unprofessional doesnt even remotely begin to cover it. Every other waterproofing company we had come out were here on time and ready to go.Bottom line if you cant get your sales team to show up on time, I have no confidence your actual work team would be any more reliable. For those reading do yourself a favor and hire a local firm who does their own work (no subcontractors). They will be thousands of dollars cheaper and actually appreciate your business. I suggest Smith Waterproofing or Burrys Waterproofing in the Central Pa area.
Shady practices. Sold my mother a basement sump without even attempting to locate the source of the water. Turns out the underground drain pipe that the downspout runs into was clogged causing the water in the basement. It was this simple. The basement didn’t start leaking after 40 years in this house and she didnt need $4249 worth of work.I would expect that with all of these years of experience Jim would have seen this. It was too obvious to overlook as it ran along the driveway in full view.I unclogged the drain and attempted to cancel the work but they refused and would not refund her deposit of $2000. My mother felt that completing the project could help the value of her house and did not want to walk away from the $2000.Part of the quoted work was to tie in the downspouts and run them away from the house. They did not tie in both drains and now have left the drain that was originally blocked empty at the corner of the foundation next to the drain they extended! I could not believe they actually extended one drain and not the other!!! To top it off they only extended that drain 6 feet and not 10’ to the road. It now flows across her sidewalk which has caused icy conditions that were never there before.I called them monthly to address the drains. I simply wanted them to connect the other drain they blatantly missed and extend the drain the remaining 4 feet to the road. They would tell me they would have someone out to inspect it but this never happened. They eventually stopped talking to me and would only speak to my mother who was named on the contract, and again was lied to when they said someone would contact her about coming out.I do not recommend this company. A professional company would have determined the cause of the water and not taken advantage of an older couple. Again, the work was completed but not finished. The water enters the basement and the sump works but that is because the drain empties to the corner of the house and was not extended like the one next to it.
We have had an issue with water in our basement ever since we moved in to our house. PA Basement Waterproofing installed a waterproofing system with a sump pump in order to resolve this problem. They also remediated the mold issue, and tore out all of the old paneling and drop ceiling in preparation for refinishing our basement. (we are using another company to do the refinishing work.)Dave Socko, the salesman who met with us initially, did a great job. I appreciate how he took the time to educate us on the pros and cons of different waterproofing methods, and explained how their approach was different from some of the other companies out there. The whole process was very simple and hassle-free. They got the job done quickly (despite a snowstorm that happened in the middle of the job.) They kept us informed as to their progress, and they did a good job of keeping the area clean at the end of each day.It took them less than three full days of work to get all of it done. (Tearing out all of the carpet, paneling, drop ceiling, and some of the walls, and installing the waterproofing system, and getting rid of the mold growth)I would definitely recommend this company to anyone who has issues with water in their basement.
Top notch waterproofing company. Great customer service and incomparable quality of workmanship.
Awesome job! Service was impeccable
Couldnt find and phone does not work
They went bankrupt...Are being sued by clients...I contacted the Attorney General in Harrisburg about them...Jim Shadle, owner just changed the name to Pa Basements...(He said he was dying before he hung up on me?)...Still trying to scam...
Good experience, well definitely hire them again in the future.
