I will NEVER use this company after I saw one of its drivers this morning literally CUT a car off because he rode the lane KNOWING IT WAS ENDING FOR CONSTRUCTION, then after cutting her off SLAMMED on the brakes almost hitting a motorcyclist.As a rider, I’m ANGRY, as a driver I’m ANGRY AND ANNOYED. Too many distractions we already have to deal with driving in Hampton Roads, we shouldn’t have to FEAR for OUR LIVES or the lives of local motorcyclists because THIS COMPANY doesn’t train its drivers, have a GPS system to track their driving clearly, or have any regard for public safety. Accountability. Do better or close your doors.

Burkes towing was a God send for me today. Icalled several towing companies and couldntget any help. I was stuck in the middle of the road, called Burkes and they came immediately to help me out. Awesome service!! Thanks so much!!

I waited until 20 minutes after the time I was told they would arrive to call for a status. The voicemail was full & took 4 calls before someone answered. I was told it would be another 30 minutes. Which made over 3 hour wait. I called Cousins towing who showed up 15 minutes later. I will never call Burkes!

My car broke down last night around 11 o’clock. I called AAA to use my last tow and they sent out Lee from Burke’s Towing. He was very polite and helpful. He was supposed to be off work but Accepted my service call last minute despite doing a previous one after the time he was supposed to get off. Very empathetic employee, he even offered me a Gatorade on the tow ride back to my friends place. He deserves a raise and has gone above my expectation.:)

This towing company is TRASH they need to be shut down. I called burks towing at 11am, the guy said he will be to my car in 40 minutes. He never showed up, I called him again and he said hes in Denbigh and he will be to me in 45 minutes. Well AGAIN, he never showed up. I called him back he said he has a flat tire, he will be to my car. I told him dont even worry about it. I had to call someone else to tow it. Burks towing is ignorant, unreliable, rude and unprofessional.

Quick response and knew how to handle my situation. Had a Wright Stander Commercial Mower hanging over the edge of a slope about to go into a creek. He manuevered his way around flowerbeds and trees got as close as he could to fence, rigged the mower up and hoisted it over. Causing only minimal damage to the yard, extremely thankful and pleased!

Ive used this company more than once. Mr. Burke has been more than happy to help, and has done everything in his power to get the job done. I dont know about these negative reviews, but my experience using this town service 3 separate times has been outstanding each time.

Mr. Burke is so friendly and helpful. He is hauling away a vehicle another company refused to touch. I picked him out randomly off the internet, but he is going in my phone as my towing company for the future.

This so called Towing Company should be shut down for being time wasters and cheapskates that dont tell the truth or will never show up to provide services requested. DO NOT trust the five star reviews for this place, they are most likely employees or family members.

THIS TOWING COMPANY HERE IS HIGHLY UNPROFESSIONAL. While grabbing the WRONG car they managed to knock the fog light out of my car and knock off some paint. When you try to call the towing man back the situation we were told that we were liars but he knew exactly what we were talking about! Oh yea the right car was black and mine is white.

I called Burke’s towing at 1:18 to come pick my car up . 2 hours later no one has showed to pick my car up and every time I call someone say they on their way worse towing company there is !

I was trying to get my car to the mechanic since it broke down and I had to be at work. Quoted me 120 dollars and was quite aggressive when I asked for a discount. Hung the phone up in the middle of the conversation. 1/10 NOT RECOMMENDED

KIND OF EXPENSIVE

So I needed my car towed that was auto and rwd, but wouldnt shift out of park.  Called Burkes towing and the owner said to call Mario who has the truck with the dolly on it.  I call Mario at 8:05pm and he says that he will be there in 35-40 mins. After 2 hours,  i call Mario back and he tells me hes still on his way.  He shows up at around 10:45pm and proceeds to hook up the rear of the car.  When he only straps one tire down i ask him about the other strap ..... to which he replies i dont really need it. He finishes strapping the ONE wheel down,  and states that I can ride with him if i dont have another ride,  but that his son is in there.  (Apparently this is Burkes Towing and childcare)  We leave from the location and Mario starts hauling ALL ASS through residential streets and on the interstate.  Meanwhile my car looks like its in a hydraulics contest trailing behind the truck.  I couldnt care less that the tow truck driver didnt wear a seat belt,  but his 6/7 year old son who was sitting on the FRONT SEAT BETWEEN US definitely shouldve.  We somehow make it to my home safely and realize the car doors locked with the key inside, with the key in the ON position and hazards flashing.  Instead of just opening the door,  Mario told me to call him if i couldnt get it open with the few tools i have,  and just bounced.  Took the cash for the tow,  no receipt or anything.  I called him after trying for 30-45 minutes,  and said hed be there after dropping off another tow in the area.  After 2 1/2 hours i called back since it was almost 3am, and he said he was still coming.  He never showed and my car eventually died from the battery draining,  a BRAND NEW BATTERY!!!I call the owner,  Mr. Burke the following morning and describe what happened.  He apologized and stated hes sorry for the wait,  and my car definitely shouldve been strapped down on both wheels,  and also that hed get someone to come unlock the car.  He gets my info and ends the call.  He then calls back saying he has Mario on his other phone,  and that Mario didnt know the keys were in the ignition,  even though the car was running when he arrived AND he wrapped the drivers seat belt around the steering wheel.  So since he didnt see them,  its MY FAULT theyre locked in the car. To save an argument, I just advised Mr. Burke I didnt want him nor his drivers unlocking my car and Id be going elsewhere.  He gets upset and yells when I let him know Id be filing a complaint,  and refused to provide his VDOT ID number,  which is #1075272 BTW ....according to the complaints i just filed with AAA, VDOT and the USDOT.I couldnt care less about the wait time,  or even him having his son with him.  But the half strapping the car down,  child with no seatbelt,  erratic driving,  locking the keys in the car THEN just leaving my car to die all night is BEYOND horrible business.  Even the service from the owner was disgusting,  and his lack of care or professionalism is was prompted my post and my complaints.  I hope no one EVER uses this company again.  Their other reviews speak for themselves.

This company flat out sucks. Driver never showed up to tow my car. Then lied to AAA saying that he could not contact me and that the car door was locked. All a pack of lies. This idiot never showed up. If you have AAA be sure that they dont use this towing company. A bunch of unprofessional liars! You will waiting for hours for them to show up.
