Recently I have applied with my fiancé for an apartment in Hagerstown. We had everything together even the down payment. Except our credit in check because of prior mistakes made. Unfortunately we were denied because of this. While I can understand why you would deny someone for poor credit we were clearly making 5 times the rent of 875. I think your business should be open to excepting people with less then perfect credit. Just because someone’s score is low doesn’t mean that should define them as responsible or irresponsible. I work hard and have made mistakes with my credit like millions of others and I am trying to work on it. But while I’m living out of hotel I find it incredibly hard to work on my credit. It is also very funny to me that you have a property available that you keep lowering the price for in martinsburg with mold growing in the basement. Your clearly desperate to rent it out and other properties but you’ll only except people with a score of 600 or more. Your business clearly only cares about money and not helping people find a comfortable living space. It is quite sad and I hope something changes and you guys grow a heart for a change. Honestly sad

I had a great experience with Tyler from ECREG. He stopped by to fix a few things around my property and seemed very knowledgeable about all of my concerns. He did great work in a short amount of time and was very polite while he was here. He also confirmed the appointment and provided me with a more precise ETA ahead of time which was nice.

This company relies on the poverty and ignorance of tenants to not fight for their rights. This company sold the house they rented to me to another owner and transferred me to a different property management company Hagerstown Management (also getting a 1 star review ) and neither company will return our deposit. I hired an amazing cleaning company for our move out and was complimented several times on the absolute improvement compared to move in. We updated several fixtures in the home with our own money during the 2 years we were there yet NEITHER company will return our deposit both claiming the other is responsible. It’s atrocious how these companies conduct themselves playing on the ignorance and poverty of the area to steal and cheat from residents of Washington County. DO NOT WORK WITH THESE CROOKS!! This company is a joke. Rented from them for a year and even that was too long.Their communication was awful. We would sometimes have to send multiple emails and make multiple phone calls before we got any response to issues. There were still some issues we had emailed about that were not even discussed again before we were about to move out, and thats because we decided to email again.They broke Tenant Rights Laws numerous times to the point that we even contacted a lawyer after we moved out of the house. 1) entering the premises without our knowledge. While we know this was a mistake, this violated our privacy. No one wants to get a message from their security system that someone is in their house when they are 1.5 hours from home. 2) They did not let us know of the date and time of the move out inspection. While COVID is going on, it is still required of the landlord/property management team to let the former tenants know of the move out inspection time. 3) Per Maryland law, the property management has to return the deposit or an invoice to the former tenant WITHIN 45 days. They waited until the very last minute (day 44) to mail the deposit. 4) some aspects of the house created unsafe living conditions. We contacted them many times about stairs going down into the basement that were shakey and had exposed screws and nails. All they did was come and add 3 boards. Kept the screws and nails exposed. The garage was in shambles with the roof falling in and doors that were not attached.If it wasnt for COVID, being pregnant and not wanting to deal with their BS anymore we would have continued on with taking them to court as the lawyer we spoke to (after they saw all email correspondence) said we had more than enough proof of their carelessness.Please if you rent through this company, make sure you keep track of all correspondence. Contact them by either email or online forms if you can do they dont make promises that you cant track by phone.

We called to inquire about the service, Neri answered it immediately, very friendly and professional then finally spoke with Tom and was impressed with how knowledgeable he is in explaining the details and how he handles all our questions. They are absolutely fantastic! I couldnt ask for a better rental company. I love the online rental payments as well. Makes my life so much easier. Both Tom and Drew are top notch. I havent tried out the new online maintenance system, but Im sure they put a lot of thought into it and picked a good one.

Please beware of this realtor! They like to scam buyers out of money and personal information! I applied for a place, not even an hour later they told me this place was sold, which I found out through their own employees, which was sold three days ago! Before I submitted all of the require paperwork. When I proceed to retrieve my funds the manager Chelsea was rude and highly unprofessional. Then told me that everything was non-refundable. How are my deposits non-refundable? Even when I told her I have proof to back up my claims, she did not care. Now I’m in the process of SUING them! I wish I was one of those people that had a positive experience but this wasnt the case with them!

Drew has been professional and helpful throughout the entire time weve been working together. He keeps lines of communication open and is quick to give feedback or his own expert advice on different situations. Makes you feel like a customer, as opposed to a burden, unlike some other property management companies.

I have been living in a property managed by East Coast Realities that is inhabitable. They spontaneously sent me an email stating that they will no longer manage my property with no reason why. But the real reason why (that they wont address) is because they do not want to pay for the water leak and hot water heater issues on this property. This company will take advantage of you and turn it all around on you. I am currently living without hot water and I am stuck with a water leak that is costing hundreds of dollars a day because it is so bad. My current water bill is $1,266.79. There are no excuses for this kind of treatment to a tenant.Side note. Its the corporate business that sucks, the maintenance guys that they send out are great people. So dont think were hating on the little guys.

Last year I rented from THE WORST landlord in Hagerstown. Im sure everyone knows who I am talking about without even having to name them. Now I am renting from East Coast Real Estate and it has been a total 360° change in my life. They treat you like a human being. They fix things that are broken. They call to check up on you and make sure things are going well. My last landlord would create hidden fees and make up extra bills for me to pay, East Coast Real Estate has never done that to me. I know how it feels to be abused by your landlord so Im hoping I can stick with East Coast for a long time because although they are running a business, they have HEART.

Relocating can be quite stressful and I was under A LOT of it trying to find the right place for my family by my jobs due date. Fortunately, I met Nicole who assisted me throughout the entire rental process. She is a great listener and assured me I would love the community. She was correct!

This company has the worst communication with its renters. Nothing professional about this company at all. Now they up the rent for no reason. It never ends with East coast. I have told them about the mattress left out back by a previous tenant for over a month, and half nothing has been done. After looking at the reviews, I find it funny how many 5 star reviews are the only review that person has. Something smells funny.

Dealing with this company has been the most stressful renting experience I have ever encountered. It is almost humorous to me how unprofessional this company has handled our living conditions. We have been without hot water for two weeks and no matter how many times we call the maintenance hotline, Megan Miles, or any member of East Coast Real estate our concerns are not dealt with. Its astounding to me that right after we threaten to withhold rent, get a house inspector involved, and take legal actions against East Coast Real estate that their first step was to sell the property back to the original real estate company Gideon. We were billed a $1266.79 water bill because there is a water leak and they left us with no indication that they will be paying for this bill. The cherry on top was when they asked my girlfriend to take down a negative review claiming that she had made false accusations when everything she had stated was completely true. If you would like to have your basic tenant right neglected and violated then East Coast Real Estate is the company for you!

After the entire debacle with my frozen pipes earlier in my short leasing term thus far, I have once again had a horrendous experience with ECREGs management when my water heater was leaking in my kitchen. The utter lack of communication and customer service provided by this management group is outstanding. Not only did I arrive back home after a 12-hour shift to find that my water heater was still leaking, but that it was actively leaking. Since there is no direct line to speak with someone after hours, I left a message on the office voicemail. I was eventually sent a text message from an unknown number where the sender did not even introduce themselves, and said mystery person had absolutely no idea that the work had not been completed. Throughout this entire day I did not receive any type of communication about the work that was being done nor was there any notification at my residence stating that there was a maintenance person there to look at the issue. When I had similar complaints previously, I was reassured by the Hagerstown branch manager, Nicole, that she would be readily available should anything arise. Not only was I unable to reach her at any point regarding this issue; I also did not receive any feedback from her when sent messages to her previously in regards questions about the new tenant portal, the convenience fee for direct debit online to pay rent, and inaccurate recordings of my lease terms. I would not recommend renting from this management to anyone. I am considering paying the fines and breaking my lease with how completely frustrated, perturbed, and disavowed ECREG has made me feel.

Insanely ridiculous to pay your rent to these people!! No drop box, no way to pay online. You can go to 7-11 or CVS and pay cash?!?! Not sure whos idiodic idea that was but when I was told I could pay online I figured that meant, go to a website put in your debit card information and pay not this ridiculous run around.

Before I signed the lease I was never told that This company would take over. The landlord told us the cabinets and flooring would be replaced. Then shortly after We move in we get notified about east coast managing the property. These people have the worst Maintenance. They didn’t replace the disgusting cabinets they just put a piece of wood on it and slabbed some glue on in the MESSIEST way possible. Im The bathroom the cabinets have used PADS and trash stuck in the side, and they ignore that. They Replaced 10 tiles YES YOU READ THAT RIGHT - TEN!! the tiles don’t match at all.. not even close. I told the Guy who replaced them that I could just Buy all the tiles and install myself and he ignored me. He still replace 20% of all the tiles that are cracked. Our master bedroom feels like a Freezer . We are all sleeping in the small bedroom because of this. I have a thick bedsheet over the window so the room could stay warm. We went 3 days without water because “the pipes froze” the sent someone to “fix it “ and he did NOTHING to help. If it weren’t for my S/O calling city hall we would’ve went Weeks without water & Do you think they care ?nope they don’t. Every time someone from maintenance comes in here they ask the same damn thing “what’s the problem” like are you kidding me?!!!!! I’m so sick of repeating myself, this house is gross I cannot have my 1 year old running around here. I still have all our stuff in BOXES ; and the Kitchen i a mess because I REFUSE to use those cabinets. I pray this year FLYS by so we could get out of this unsanitary place and its horrible management. This is not what I call HOME I am so uncomfortable in this environment.
