2014 Toyota Tundra 75K Oil Change and Transmission Service - Brought our Toyota Tundra in for an Oil Change & Multi point inspection as well as the Toyota recommended Transmission Fluid change to be performed. Dropped off the truck that morning, everything was serviced with out a hitch and we received a call the truck was finished before the end of the day. Friendly, Fair and Reliable.

Weve now had our Lexus and Thunderbird serviced/maintenance by All About Automotive, and will soon have our truck maintenances here as well, and moving away from Dealer service centers. We found more and more that advisors at dealers lack empathy, communication skills (which include listening), and lack of understanding or care. Each time weve gone to Steve & Karens shop weve gained more and more trust in getting our cars done correctly and a willingness to explain the why behind work needed, or not needed. We would definitely recommend them.

Had vehicle towed in. Was unable to make it to my appointment on time because of another vehicle breakdown. So I had that towed in also. Once I was able to make contact with the employees I was asked to leave. Considering the position I put them in I understand there reason. I just wish we could of worked something out. Although my experience wasnt that great there I would recommend going to this shop. They were not rude to me although I could tell they were not happy with me. They could have had my vehicles towed away and I am very thankful they didnt do that. I am sorry for any inconvenience I may have caused and thankyou for giving me the aportunity to retrieve my motorhome, jeep and tow dolly.

Seemed like nice people but not the greatest service. Tried telling me it was going to be about $300 for diagnostic tests on my check engine light for possible low oil pressure (with other codes). Had the oil changed somewhere else and the check engine light went off with no problems. My first red flag to this place was when they told me it was a free basic comprehensive inspection and it would be about 1 1/2 hours. I figured this would give me enough time to pick up 5 year old from school. When I took the car in she told me 3 hours (not enough time to get my kid from school) I agreed and walked to the school and home. Not the most ideal situation but wanted an inspection on the car. About 3 hours later I call them and the back drum breaks had apparently fallen apart when they were doing the inspection. (Cost about $300 repair) They absolutely needed to repair it before I drove it so gave them the okay to fix the breaks. I was without the car for the weekend until Tuesday. (Even though I was assured it would be done on monday) I was told by the mechanic he would rotate the tires and replace the drum breaks. I spoke with him for a long time about the check engine light and what he recommended and what might be wrong with it. Not once did he mention to change the oil even though the oil filter was leaking he was telling me I needed a dye test to check for leaks and other diagnostics. So their recommendations for diagnosing were over $300 after I had the break replaced. I did some research and found the check engine light could be as simple as an oil change. I just saved myself $300 because of a google search and a friend of mine running the code, but I feel a trust worthy and knowledgeable mechanic would do this for me. I feel they were trying to get as much money out of me as possible in one go (maybe hurting financially?). Also had to remind them to rotate my tires before picking it up. Glad they did the repair on my breaks well, glad they got my tire fixed when they got a nail in it. Overall not thrilled with this place and will probably never bring my vehicles to them again.In response to the owner:I changed the oil after I ran the codes myself. The check engine light went off without clearing and has been off since that day. I understand working on drum breaks is a timely repair (thats why I would never do it myself) but I know a few people wouldve charged me less for drum breaks, but since they fell apart at your shop it was more cost efficient to get them done by you. You did a fine job on them. I am not happy about the lack of communication regarding timing and also suggesting a $300 diagnostic before looking at the simpler options.

I wouldnt even give this place a single STAR!!! Over $1,000 even with their DISCOUNTS and more then 3 weeks of diagnostics and still paid to tow it away. Poor communication. I had to explain what needed to be done and didnt do it. I put blue tape of sensor clips that needed to be replace and after two weeks had to tell and show them again. Still unfinished a week later. 3 sensor pigtails, and one sensor, and oil change and spark plugs for over $1,000 bill.

DISCRIMINATED at All About Auto shop.I wasnt welcomed in this shop. And the words they have plastered on their walls:Honesty and Integrity are empty words.1. During my first day at the shop, they kept my car for over 2 hrs just to tell me that they couldnt diagnose anything because the diagnostic connector was not working. Well, it takes a few seconds to connect the scanner to find that out...Also, they charged me $25 to tell me my car couldnt be diagnosed..2. So, after $600 of estimate to just diagnose my car, I made an appointment for the following week..3. A week later, finally, dopped off my car. Waited outside in a city park at almost freezing 34F temperature for 4 hrs for my car to finally be fixed...until I got a message that the tech/ her husband was unable to work on my car at all as he was sent home because, allegedly, he hit his head working on another car before mine....(WHY was I being told to bring my car early morning if it was just sitting there without even being touched for 4 hrs?!..).4. So, I went back to the shop to pick up my car that wasnt worked on again. Once there, I re- scheduled the appointment for the following week...5. The next day, I received a message that the tech ( her husband) who will be fixing my car will be away for the looong two weeks....6. The time was after the shops working hrs, so I left a message saying that lets make an appointment for as soon as the tech (her husband Steve) is back to work7. The next day I called the shop to make sure they got my message regarding the new appointment.I had to call more than once because nobody was taking my call during working hours.So, I left another message regarding a new appointment and asked Karen to call me back that day...8. Five days later, and no call from the owner Karen or the receptionist. Complete silence.So, it became obvious to me without a doubt that they were trying to get rid of me from the beginning, and I wasnt wanted in their shop.In fact, I felt being JUDGED from day one, after I informed them that at this time of deadly pandemic I use my car to stay safely isolated from any roommates.My words were met with dead uncomfortable silence...CLEARLY, I WAS BEING JUDGED.And then, without saying the words, they clearly showed me with their actions that I wasnt wanted in the All About Auto shop.So, if you are any different from the herd, be aware that these Sunday christians at All About AutoWILL JUDGE YOU,MAKE YOU FEEL UNWELCOMED,and WILL SHOW YOU THE DOOR.Just as I was.

I worked as a automotive technician for over a decade, Ive run shops, owned my own repair company, and done consulting work for other shops. I can spot a shady operation from a mile away... And know a shop that deserves to be recognized when I find one. Ive moved on from wrenching so when I dropped my runner off for an alignment I was fully expecting the typical runaround about needing x,y,or z parts and getting the list of leaks I already knew about. So when I showed up and they had my alignment specs ready for me and had actually performed the alignment how I asked I was impressed. When they then helped me track down a pair of missing tires that had been swapped with different tires (which was not what I had asked for) at a nearby tire shop, I was happy. They made it right on my bill too. This shop is the real deal, does good work, and isnt afraid to own a misunderstanding and then take measures to correct the situation. It wasnt technically their fault but they still stood by the work they had sent out for. Honesty is the reason Ill be back the next time I dont want to fix something on my own.

My son has been taking his vehicle here for years. I finally took one of my trucks to them for an issue with my breaks. They were very professional on the phone and their diagnostic report was like nothing Ive ever seen. It was very thorough and included pictures of items that needed attention. You dont see that from any major car dealership. I will recommend them to family and friends.

My first experience with all about automotive was from a referral and they treated my daughter and me like gold. We have been steady customers ever since and they continue to go the extra mile, even providing a loaner in a critical situation. They are kind and friendly and HONEST.

I had problems with my truck so I took it to a different mechanic and they told me I needed to replace my head gasket and it would cost $1400 to fix it. So I then took it to All About Auto and had them check it out. It turned out that the head gasket was fine and it just needed a tune up and EEG valve. Not only did they save me money but more importantly they showed their honesty. I will definitely be going to this mechanic from now on. Love you guys and thank you for your great work .

The office crew of Karen, Mallory and Shawn are amazing, even the mechanics. They know what they are doing here. They send you thank you cars in the mail. Super professional. This company is a great place to go to if you need your car fixed right. They will take care of it and deliver your car to you once they are done. They took my car through DEQ and it passed. They worked with my schedule and they got my car back to running as good as new. Reasonable prices, very trustworthy. Now the only place I take my car too.

I scheduled a simple oil change at 10am on my Toyota Sienna and had my wife take it in as I could not. Well my wife had our three children with her and TWO hours later she was still there. They claimed it was because they needed to replace our license plate lights, which they did without ever asking my wife or I if we wanted done! Will NOT be returning here.

I brought my 1983 Toyota pickup here for some work, and although these older trucks can be a pain to source parts they did an excellent job and Im happy to keep my old truck around for a while still. Most shops in my experience just buy whatever is convenient and it is what it is but happy to say none of that nonsense here. Ill definitely be back but hopefully not to soon. 😉

I could not be more pleased with All About Automotive! I had put off getting my rear wheel bearings replaced due to a different mechanic quoting me 3 times what Karen did. They had me in and out the same day doing a full and detailed diagnostic on my car. Don’t hesitate to have your car worked on by All About you will be SO glad you did!! I will be going back to them for anything I need done including my next oil change!

All About Automotive has always taken great care of my Nissan. I’ve only had oil changes & balancing done, but it’s always done right. They are well organized and very friendly.

I dont even know where to start! Im really happy with the service that I had here. First off, Meghan was AMAZING and SO sweet. She had a great attitude even though I was freaking out about my check engine light. She was so nice over the phone, and even in person. I think thats an extremely important quality to have. Even though my car warranty could only be used at the dealer I got it from, that didnt stop Richard, one of the car techs, to still do a great job with telling it how it was with the car. Steve was also super helpful in giving me advice about my car and warranty, and just overall was a great guy to talk to about my problem. I watched the way he interacted with other customers too, and it was very professional but also personable. Its hard to feel good and at ease at a car shop, but I swear this is the place to go.

We can count on All About Automotive for good communication with patient thoroughness (cars are so complicated these days and its not always clear whats going on!). Professional and friendly service in a timely manner. They have always treated us well and we feel safe and comfortable trusting them with our cars.

Took our car into the shop and we needed it diagnosed quickly. They gave us prompt updates and were very easy to deal with. They couldnt find the problem I experienced while driving so they only charged me half of the diagnosing fee. We will definitely be returning to them for automotive repairs. Honest and dependable.

Perfect. The lady on the phone new a lot about cars and answered all my questions so I did take my minivan there. I asked if I could get one day service as my wife is in a wheelchair. I know on short notice very hard to do but she said they would do their best to get it done. I could not believe it they got it done and done right. I feel like I got a good deal. I am for sure going to come back. My minivan runs like new they did a great job.

Someone tried to steal my Toyota pickup and I went here to get it fixed because I live in the Gresham area and I heard it was a fairly reputable shop.The core of the repair work was done ok, but attention to detail was pretty sloppy. Plastic push pin rivets for the center console trim piece were still missing (Even after going over this multiple times on the work needing to be done) and when the ignition cylinder was replaced, all the trim screws for the lower dash part were left off. (I had to go buy/replace them.) The locks also had to be re-keyed to the new ignition that was put in, but they only did the 2 doors and forgot the fuel door.My biggest complaint, though came after the repair. My insurance company gave me an estimate check up front and I basically paid the full invoice and worked with the insurance for the reimbursement of the difference. Not only did it take them about a month to get over parts invoices to my insurance (Despite me and the insurance company asking multiple times), but they really gouged me on the parts prices for some reason. Like door locks costing them $45 from Napa came to me at a cost of $135?!? I can understand a 25% percent markup or so, but 200%?? Needless to say, my insurance wont reimburse me for a lot of the extra markup, so I end up not getting a decent chunk of change back to me that I was expecting. Its just disappointing to say the least.

Although the repair of my truck took longer than estimated or expected, this shop / company totally took care of the situation; including going as far as loaning me one of their personal vehicles to drive while they repaired my vehicle due to an unexpected circumstance. In a day and time where customer service doesnt seem as important as it use to with a lot of companies / businesses; it was refreshing to be treated like the most important customer they ever had. In addition to the excellent customer service, a quality repair of the issue with my truck, warranty on their work....they even washed my truck. I would highly recommend this shop for any needed repair of your vehicle.

I highly recommend them! I had a pre inspection purchase done here. They are extremely compassionate and thorough. They saved me from buying a car with dysfunctional airbags and multiple error codes! They halted the inspection part way through to show me what was wrong so that I could decide whether I wished to continue or not and charged me for only a small portion of the inspection when I declined. I am very grateful for their kindness and knowledgeability.

Best small business mechanics in town.

I have used AAA for most of my automotive needs. Why? I dont have to worry about quality and pricing fairness. I can talk to anyone in the shop and they are knowledgeable …. and if they dont know the answer, the mechanic is there to talk to me.

Very disappointed. When I got the estimate after dropping my car off the first time they didnt include everything like they said they would, so the price really threw me off when they sent me the other estimates, I still scheduled the appt to get it fixed, after getting my car fixed the engine light was still on and this time it was solid, so I called and told them what happened after it should have been fixed, so they scheduled me TWO weeks out and I told them on the phone when scheduling I had to leave out of town that day at 4pm if they could be finished before then and they said no problem. I get there I dont even get my car till 5 just for them to call me almost a WEEK later just to tell me they needed to look at it more because I took it home early and they didnt finish testing....... so of course i scheduled 2 weeks out again because Im a person for giving chances when my family and friends told me to stop going here, just for them to finally say they made a mistake and missed something else that needed to be replaced along with the other thing they replaced, so they only charge me the difference but still totaled to about 1500. And of course they have to schedule a week out to replace it again after a week of waiting for the estimate. It seemed like they just shrugged me off and that it wasnt important. I finally get my car back and this is probably the only real coincidence that seemed to have happened while its there the starter decided to start making noises which they didnt say anything until I turned my car on from picking it up and heard it so I had to walk back in and ask someone to take a look for them to say oh I forgot but last night the starter started making noise. Its been a couple weeks now and I go to check my oil and the hood wont open. How many coincidences/mistakes can there be? So I swing by, they check it out and not even 5 min later they send me away to someone else or say they can charge me 115/hr.. on something that they most likely caused. So I didnt go where they recommended, I went out to Clackamas to a place I could trust and they squeezed me in, fixed it in 30 min, and called me and told me they fixed it and it looked like someone had done work on it recently and took a part off and didnt put it back on right and the cable got unattached, so they reconnected it and charged me about 60 bucks on something all about automotive should have fixed. Will not be back here.

Leaving this review even though I never paid them for services. Brought my car in after fighting with my coolant system and replacing multiple hoses. I had figured out that I still had a leak in my water pump and perhaps another hose that I wasnt seeing. I think Jake was the mechanics name but Im not sure....anyway, he could have very easily talked me into the $900 water pump replacement but after hearing I was only looking to get 6 months out of the car he suggested I try something else to fix it on my own. $17 later my issue was resolved beyond my satisfaction. Very grateful. Will be coming to see them in the future after this. Much love

I took my car in to get an estimate on repairs, or so I thought and had been told. My check engine light had come on and I already paid for diagnostics and got an estimate at a local shop. I previously had work done by All About Automotive and was pleased with the quality and price so decided to go back there for a second estimate. I called and told them everything that the other shop reported was wrong and requested an estimate. They said they can do a free comprehensive check over the vehicle. Well, I find out afterwards that it wasnt free and they had slipped the charge in on the paperwork that was signed. This was completely unexpected and a waste of money. Despite being satisfied with their work I would not go back to this shop.

The customer service is as good as their auto service. Getting your vehicle in promptly may be a little tough as they are so busy, but thats a good sign - how good is a mechanic that isnt busy?

We found out that our wheel bearing was needing to be replaced and so we made an appointment. We received the estimate and had the work done. My wife picked up the car only to find that it was done 1 hr. earlier and $100 least than estimated. Thanks for the good service.

We were starting to notice a whine coming from the engine compartment of our Forester, and the folks at AAA diagnosed it as a bad idler pulley (same thing that took out our Legacy many years ago). They got us in for the diagnosis is less than 24 hours after we called and did the repair, plus replaced the belt, the net AM, all for $60 less than the estimate. Dodged a bullet there...

A couple of weeks ago we were on the tail end of a wonderful road trip when the alternator on our Ford Explorer Sport selfishly died on us. Seeing that we were 1,000+ miles away from home and quickly losing sunlight we desperately searched for a shop that would assist us with our time sensitive opportunity. We made calls hoping to find someone that would show empathy to what was happening. Fortunately for us we found the place in All About Automotive. It all started with the young lady that picked up the phone when we most needed (Other shops didnt pick up when we called). Very patiently and politely the young lady confirmed that the repairs could be done first thing in the morning and I got a quote for parts and labor. We were satisfied with the quote as we felt it was fair. We requested that the part be ordered so it would be available first thing the next morning and the request was granted. Wanting to be proactive and not knowing the city of Gresham we decided to take our chances and drive the car to the shop to avoid a tow the next day. As soon as we arrived to the shop we were greeted by Karen and Steve who were just about to close shop for the night. Showing great customer service and deddication they both listened to our lenghthy ordeal and assured us that they would do whatever was needed to get the repairs done as soon as possible the next morning. Once we were relieved of the car opportunity next was our hotel accommodations. Not knowing the area we mentioned to Steve what our plans were for the night. Steve would have none of that and steered us to a much better place for us to spend the night. Steve and Karen treated us like family and their excellent customer service was greatly appreciated.The next morning the professional staff at All About Automotive completed the repairs and the price they quoted me was spot on. We liked that the staff was honest and very clear on what the repair would cost and that they completed the repair in the time they had promised.Steve ans Karen run a professional auto shop and in our opinion they can be trusted to do as they say.

Got my regularly scheduled servicing done when I needed it. Finished in the estimated time so I was on my way when they were done. Will go back when next service is needed. Thanks to all who help me keep the older car running like new.

Everyone has gone over and beyond to get our vehicles up and running at one time or another. Steve worked well into the midnight hours on our work vehicle when it broke down and we had a job scheduled the following morning! Thank you for all you have done for us!

I brought my hyundai which was recently purchased, the other day for service, the team did a great job finding what needed to be done and did what I said to do, I love the attention to detail making sure all the fluids, air in tires are correct. i would recommend them to anyone.
