New management will run everyone out, as previous reviews have stated. Been here for years and each management change gets worse than previous one. New mgmt can’t even keep track of lease renewals yet charge residents fees for all types of things, and make up the rules as they go along.Hard water issue: we can’t even drink the water at this point, water filters don’t even help. Gave us health, skin and hair issues. Maintenance is responsive, but rarely fixes the issue on the first visit and it’ll definitely take persistence and a few more visits before your problem is resolved. Units feel outdated and grounds are maintained at the bare minimum. Parking situation isn’t enforced so good luck getting a spot near your building. Beware of the geese. Also, try to get your own carbon monoxide detector.Positives: never had a safety issue here, location is convenient and in-unit washer and dryer were nice until they started destroying our clothes.Overall, regardless of who’s managing, it feels like they don’t care about their residents.

New management is going to run everyone out of this place. Very strange choice of people to run the complex. You pay for amenities like the pool and it doesn’t stay open for the whole day like it used to and it’s always closed for silly reasons. They enforce rules one day and don’t care the next. Many people are saying how horrible the new management is and most will not renew their lease here. The only good thing about living here was Richard, the head of maintenance, and now he’s gone.

New owners and management in the office as of 3 months ago and this place has be awful every since then. They charge almost everyone a 50 dollar late fee even if you have paid on time, early or late. They closed the office so you have to call to get them to remove it. This has been every month since they bought it, so not just a one time mistake. They also closed the pool and gym, raised the rent to a ridiculous prices for outdated apartments and unkept grounds and ponds, so no perks here. It seems the goal of the new owner is to run everyone out that has been here for years, and I would say they have Succeeded! Also they will no longer let you put reviews on their website, well that is a red flag! Your response to the comments are funny, since they closed the office about a month ago and no one is allowed in there! So, Kinda hard to go to the office to discuss any problems you have! Oh and crickets when you email them, no responds to them either.

Everyone that has posted here stating how bad this apartment complex has become is 100% true and correct. DON’T BELIEVE the responses from “the owner” when they state “our main concern is the residents satisfaction and to contact the office for any concerns.” Everyone here has contacted the office NUMEROUS times and have been met with either excuses or outright apathy. Nothing has been resolved about the automatic $50 late fees for the tenants after payments in full are received and deducted from bank accounts even when paid early and on time.If you are willing to pay $1000 - $2400 or more for an apartment, you would be better off checking other properties that aren’t covered in goose feces, peeling paint on patios, dirty common areas and woefully outdated apartments. Also, in the spring the HERDS of geese are nesting. From late February to end of May the geese honk loudly 24 hours a day. Imagine 30-40 geese 6 feet away from your window honking and fighting at 2am. Literally had to get earplugs to try to sleep before work. The website tells you about the amenities but since the problems have snowballed in regards to the over charging of late fees the office has closed, the pool and fitness room closed. They say it’s because of COVID, but the last time they closed for COVID at least you could still access those places. My biggest regret was not leaving sooner than I did.

Highly disappointed in the new management here. They absolutely are not willing to listen to your concerns, and won’t do anything about parking. Living here 6 years, this is by far the worst I’ve seen it. Pool is closed, gym and office are closed. Rent has went up so high it’s not worth it. They are literally running residents out of here.

New management will run everyone out of here! Its hard to justify the massive increase in rent when these units havent been updated in decades, pool and gym are closed, the outsides and entrances of buildings are dirty and the amount of clerical errors management makes every time the 1st of the month rolls around. And they never apologize either. They decided to add everyones water bill to our rent now instead of us paying them separately at a different time through the water company, which is now pretty inconvenient to people that split up their utility bills and rent by separate paychecks. Plus convenience fees added on to our accounts for paying online, but cant do anything about it since their office is closed. The valet trash has so many strict rules to it that its easier to just carry your own trash to the dumpster. Maintenance made a whole mess of my apartment last year, insulation was everywhere in our bedroom and closet, all over our stuff and they didnt say anything about it, just left. And the hard water issue makes it impossible to get anything clean and leaves a buildup on dishes, bathroom, and clothes.Youd think with the influx of 1-star reviews coming in that they would listen to the feedback from their residents...

My husband and I have lived here 1 year and just renewed our lease. The staff has been great. Its quiet and I love The ponds with the geese. My husband and I were married in the clubhouse in the spring before the covid19 shutdown. It was beautiful and we really enjoyed how good everything went. I recommend Bexley Village to anyone.

Been here 2 years, never had a late fee until this new management company took over, now ive had 4 late fees. Even with autopay setup, still got late fees. And when i called up there, the lady just argued with me and hung up on me both times. Disrespectful and unprofessional.

THIS PLACE IS AMAZING. I HAVE LIVED HERE FOR YEARS AND HAVE HAD NO ISSUES BESIDES TYPICAL WEAR AND TEAR. THE STAFF IS NICE AND WELCOMING, THEY UNDERSTAND YOUR NEEDS AND WANTS AND TRY THEIR BEST TO ALWAYS FINISH THE TASKS IN A TIMELY MANNER.do NOT let bad reviews make you stay away from this place, they clearly have something wrong with them because Bexley Village is FANTASTIC!

Danielle and Deb are wonderful! They always had an answer for me when I called or e-mailed.The maintence guys were always prompt with my maintenance requests. They would even leave me notes of what they fixed if I was out of the apartment. The amenities were nice and updated. I had all stainless steel appliances and marble countertop. The gas fireplace was nice, but I only used it once. The pool was always clean and enjoyable this past Summer.I will say the neighbors are the downfall of this complex, most of the residents I encountered were amazing people— very kind and friendly— but before I moved out, there seemed to be some shady characters. The neighbor above me would smoke an outlandish amount of cigarettes and let the ashes and butts fall down into my screened in porch. When I went up the stairs to politely ask him to stop, the man wouldn’t answer the door and there was trash (fast food and beer bottles)... just gross if you ask me! I signed a 1 year lease and it was by far the best apartment complex I lived at in Greenwood. I had a lower level, private entry apartment. I highly recommend! They have a waitlist, so to anyone hoping to move here, I recommend calling ASAP.

Do not send these people money before confirming availability. The apartments management took money for a down payment on a specific apartment, but once they drew the money from the account they said the apartment promised on the phone at time of payment was not available. This is a bait and switch. I cant imagine how they treat tenants with ethics given our experience with this company. When we stated we would not be interested in a different apartment she said a manager (Debbie Zille?) would have to authorize refund, but not sure if or when this would happen. (Edited to add: will take 3 months to receive a refund on money accepted for an unavailable apartment).

My friends and I call this place the armpit of Greenwood. If youre looking for cheap, thats what youre getting. This place hasnt been upgraded since it was built. The ponds have no irrigation flow and are disgusting, geese feces everywhere, grounds are not kept up, they paint over rust and holes on exterior doors instead of fixing them, bedbugs are a common problem but they act like they dont exist. The outside of the buildings have cobwebs and mold thats never removed. Hallways constantly have bugs in them. The water is absolutely horrid. Your hair and skin feel gross. The maintenance man told us that he wouldnt give this water to his dog. Only plus is the location. I would seriously weigh all options before living in this cheap hell hole.

I lived at Bexley Village for 3 years and never had any issues. The office staff were always very friendly and helpful and the maintenance crew was always quick to respond the requests. Even after hours, the on-call maintenance men were great. The complex itself was always clean and welcoming. I would definitely recommend this complex to anyone looking on the Southside!

Bexley Village Apartments started off really great but getting into the fall and winter months everything changed. We were wondering why we didnt have hot water so we called the office thinking our hot water heater was broken when maintenance came out they informed us that we need to turn our heat to low in order to have hot water. Turn it to low did not help in this apartment we had completely turn the heat off for two hours for the hot water to heat up. When I called maintenance again they told me that was unusual the valve must be bad. They came out to fix again still not fixed. They came out one last time and said dont worry thisll do it I still have to turn the heat off to get hot water. I guess it doesnt matter anymore since winter is over but what a nightmare the entire winter was. Just when we thought things were going to be OK now we have bedbugs. Thats just great. Luckily our mattress and pillows already have covers on them which is an allergen/bedbug cover because I have allergies so theyre not in our bed or our pillows. I do not suggest this apartment complex to anyone especially people who have children. Why should you have to choose between washing dishes taking a shower or having heat absolutely ridiculous.

I like living here for the most part but they refuse to do anything about the geese problem, they are horrible. Some days you have to wait in your car until the geese decide to stop hanging out in front of your door bc they will try to attack you. All the other apartments around here have decoys up or do something to deter them away bc their pond water is clean and geese are no where to be found. Ours is green and prob have a good 50-100 geese just hanging out all over the complex.

I definitely wont be staying here and I dont recommend it. I was told that if see any bugs, even household spiders, to call maintenance so they could spray. First couple of weeks, there were centipede like insects and spiders bigger than the normal house hold ones. They sprayed twice. Now, theres ants. I still have a bad spider problem AND there was a mouse. But no one came out to set traps, and its been two days since Ive called. I have children. I pay rent to live in this? Disgusting.THEY HAVE A HUGE HARD WATER ISSUE. Which the office blames the city for and their maintenance flat out told us that until a few months ago, their water filtration system was non-existent. It leaves a disgusting white film on your dishes, its unsafe to consume, molds the toilets/tubs, and is ruining clothes as well. And NO ONE warned us prior to signing the lease.Update (30 days after prior review) : I had ANOTHER mouse, still have spiders and still nothing done. I know several people to have bed bug issues. Their solution to all of this? Breaking my lease. So much for rapport. My children have been bitten by these spiders, along with my husband and myself. I ended up having an allergic reaction to a bite. They keep saying theyre going to come and spray. This is at the least, the FIFTH time theyve come to spray. Im contacting an attorney along with the Health Department at this point. How can they make someone PAY to live in this?

Ive been here almost two years. I like the apartment but theres a lingering smell in the common entry as soon as you come in. The spiders, centipedes, roaches, and bed bugs are a problem. Im told theyve sprayed for spiders, centipedes, and roaches but theyre still here and in the halls too so Ive resorted to handling it myself to ensure its done. The bedbugs were treated and so far no evidence. For what its worth, they use Gold Seal Pest Management for the big stuff like all of its not big to a resident right? And maintenance sprays for other stuff.

Whatever Floats your BoatIve literally NEVER written a review, but this is the last apartment im staying in soooo...heres one for the roadYoure very close to the highway (I-65) and everything you need is nearbyThis is a decent apartment complexOffice staff is nice and tentative and maintenance responds almost immediately, no complaints thereThe rooms are spacious and the vaulted ceilings on the second floor are very nice. There are plenty of cabinets, but theyre all small spaces, so anything large may not fit.Love the storage unitIve seen reviews about bugs, but I have not had that issue, maybe because im on the second floor? If you like geese, you wont if you live here. Theyre loud and always honking. theres goose dump everywhere and theyre always in the road. The gym is not what you think it is and if you actually play basketball, forget about the court, its a wreck. The grounds are not really taken care of, other than the clubhouse area (which is VERY nice). The buildings need to be cleaned and the main door to the common area are all beat up, so the appearance is not that great. The snow is plowed and they do put salt down before it snows, so thats great as well.My Biggest concern with these apartments is that there are no designated smoking areas or non-smoking areas. My neighbors (not even sure who) smoke like a chimney and you can smell it everywhere. Ive never smoked and have developed allergies as a result. There should at least be designated buildings for smokers and non-smokers, because I cant handle itOverall, it is a decent apartment for the price and if you have lots of gatherings the clubhouse is amazing for a low flat rate price to rent out

I moved in due to several former tenants having nothing but great things to say about the apartment homes. I moved in and absolutely love my apartment, I was disappointed that the main bathrooms toilet was dirty and when I told the staff about it 2 weeks before I actually moved in about it she said shed have it taken care of. Well on the Saturday I move in it hadnt been touched so I called and told staff again and she said Id have to wait until Monday! I also had issues with the master bedrooms toilet not wanting to flush, I came home from work to see they used a snake and damaged the porcelain bad!! Very unnecessary. But I say the good outweighs the few bad issues! I love that its quiet and a small community.
